His quotes made me laugh... clearly he has no clue of how this works with the SEC or any other gubment   agency. I wonder if he has ever seen the seizure auctions the gubment runs? There is some pretty cool stuff on them people like him used to own. Leds are not worth it yet. The tech is just not good enough. Give it a couple of years for the tech to mature and evolve and maybe we get lights that can penetrate more than 1-2 layers of leaves. Maybe for cuttings and vegetation leds are ok but not for bloom. Also 600W HIDs have better watt to lumen ratio than 1000W. So maybe 2 x 600W if the temps don't get too high.

The throw of the light give a better spread of light, no shadows because light ist in a singular direction, so no shadow casting
2 feet down from the light it gives off more lumens than top hps lights measured directly at the bulb
this light left on for 24 hours a  day will last 5 years+

The lack of heat in the light (you can press your hand to it and it isnt too hot t touch) this takes out the problems and saves costs in heating and air conditioning , less heat produced lowering costs all round
