Since most hashlets can be upgraded to Hashstakers I wonder what this will do to the return, aren't the returns tied to the profits generated from Prime controllers transaction fees?

The more Hashtalkers are being sold/upgraded/given the less profit everyone is going to make if I understood how they work correctly.  If I was still a customer and owned Hashstakers I would be pissed that tens of thousands are being added.

I'm not going to make fun of people. The way I see it is that it's likely not a Ponzi, but it is a risky idea. The people still in either are staying in for entertainment purposes, think that the risk is low enough that the expected value of the investment is positive, or don't understand how risky Paycoin is or how likely it is to completely fail.

I tend to think most people are in the third category, seeing all of those calculations with 400 HP -> $20 as a basis. A failure to understand risk is either a symptom of low intelligence or poor education, and I don't feel comfortable taunting over either.

Well here in about another month or so everyone will know whether this is a money making opportunity or not.  I'm personally leaning towards staying in it.. I got all my primes when they were under $20 and I've more than made my money back.

So I can
a) sell my primes and get more money back (this is tempting it would be about $30k)
b) or wait and see if this model works (I don't think it's a scam but the model may not be sustainable) in which case at a pay rate of .0075/per prime/day I stand to make about $16k in the next 6mos.... I could also sell my excess paycoin that I can't stake to offset the risk on this

decisions decisions. Huh

With that much money involved you should at least sell as many primes as you can to get your money back.
GAW will totally collapse when HP convert to PayCoin and people try to convert them to BTC. At this point there isn't going to be any market for primes or anything else Josh comes up with...
Protect yourself. I have a lot of GAW-coupons (aka hashpoints) and I would just LOVE to see Josh buy them back for $20/PC. It is not going to happen.
And when this becomes obvious it would be too late to get anything out of the system.

Eh it's all a moot point now.. I didn't realize that after you reserved your wallet on the primes you were locked from selling.. oh well let's see how it plays out.. roll them dice

You're right. But I think primes stay locked from selling up to the time wallet becomes available. I think at this point you'll be allowed to sell them. At least I hope so - I haven't sold all of my primes so I'm curious to see if there is going to be any opportunity to sell the remaining as wallets. Anyway, it is good entertainment and the next days will make quite a show  Grin

LMAO I've been IP banned from HashTalk

Well, that's the thing with suicide missions - they tend to end in fatalities Smiley

This might work until they ban all exit nodes:

I guess having 5+ bans for trolling was enough to get it done

Seriously? no way to pull out your coins and sell them you mean gaw LOCKS them for the 3 or 6 month thing?

This whole thing has reached a level of absurdity i cannot even fathom anymore. all the ht'ers posting blogs about thei paycoin taking over the world etc etc .. such nonsense and drivel.

I cannot even imagine paying thousands of dollars to lock up my money in any company based on completely baseless promises.

I used to feel bad about cashing out early for a small win, but fuck it, those kool-aiders over there will never give up. so funny how all the same people RT his twitter posts. (Paycoin Origin people mostly.. wtf is that anyhow, some silly name you got on your account profile for buttlicking?  Cheesy Cheesy

Yes and no. You won't be able to pull the coin and sell it, but it has been promised that you will be able to sell the HashStaker with the coin in it.

This whole thing has reached a level of absurdity i cannot even fathom anymore. all the ht'ers posting blogs about thei paycoin taking over the world etc etc .. such nonsense and drivel.

Paycoin Origin badge and a Legendary hashlet of the same name were given to people who helped with PayCoin whitepaper and otherwise contributed on HT, not sure what the exact criteria was. ~20 were given out.

Delay With Hashbase

Hello All,

It's been a crazy last few days Smiley

Quick update:

After a lot of consideration, we have decided to delay the launch of Hashbase.

Simply put, we need to stay focused on the here and now.

While we have the resources to handle it, I would rather we double-up our team on Paybase to make sure everything is perfect.

This will not affect your Hashstakers, Paycoins, etc...

You will still have access to all the same things, nothing changes there.

We just think it's important to use all our resources to make sure Paybase is bullet-proof, and that we kill the remaining bugs in ZenCloud.

This should put us about a month behind our Timeline on Hashbase.

I will update you with more specifics.

Best,

Josh

This does NOT effect anything to do with Paybase or XPY
