Here's a thought experiment. What if they've been informed by a regulatory agency that what they're doing with ZenPool might be illegal?

If that was the case, they'd try to immediately get rid of every Zen mining hashlet (Prime and Zen solo) while not really caring if the other Solos exist, as they're just renting mining power.

So, they incentive "upgrading" your hashlet to a totally legal Hashstaker. If this is correct, look for the following to happen:

1) Every Prime or Zen that is put up for a conversion gets it.
2) Very few solos that aren't Prime or Zen will be able to convert.
3) After the conversion period is complete, the prices for Primes and Zens will skyrocket as GAW attempts to buy back whatever they can.

I don't think this is a likely scenario, but it's neat to think about.

I don't know if it's regulatory/legal pressure or if it's just them getting sick of all the demands of proof, but yes, they seem to be moving from what could potentially be a verifiable clusterfuck to something that's in their complete control. The only thing that would not fit into this scheme is public access to the PayCoin blockchain, source code etc. We'll see.

Nothing at GAW mines in real pools. They all mine in phantom pools on phantom hardware that may,  but most likely does not exist. The rates are just posted for reference so customers can feel like they are really mining, not just getting some bitcoin everyday based on the posted rates. Those are also at Gaw's discretion and if they decide Primes can only mine on Paycoin and nothing else then you are stuck with that. They are trying to force everyone to upgrade to Cashtakers to they will have almost nothing to payout in bitcoin and they can pay everyone in their shitcoin XPY.

I still wonder if GAW/Zen... *EVER*... asked for permission from the real pool owners if it was OK to use their names back when all this mess first started to take shape. We all know NiceHash called out GAW/Zen when the first (and most profitable) pool listed on GAW/Zen was removed due to a mysterious "over" payment bug issue that was anything but Mt.GAW's fault (cough....BS), but what about the others? Easy, there likely never was any real pool activity from GAW/Zen - just free use of others' names.

For someone so anal about trademarks, trade-names, copyrights, etc., one must wonder if he/they ever play and/or played by their own rules.

Just reading some transcripts from Mr. Garza talking a few days ago was comical when he mentioned he had already talked with all the exchanges and their owners will force the existing PayCoin owners to change their name or face legal action since GAW/Zen owns that name now and trademarked it (after the fact). Simply unreal...
