funny...ppl think that if they buy XPY today at 6 USD so they will sell at 20 on monday....Hahahahaha Cheesy

that'll be difficult since the wallet don't sync

You have to get the new wallet and delete everything in appdata/roaming/paycoin EXCEPT your wallet.dat file. If you install the new wallet it will sync to the current blockchain.

no chance, i've got coins locked in the wallet address. fire me up a conf file link

You keep wallet.dat you don't lose any coins. That is your keys and private keys. Back it up somewhere else to be safe. I did that no problem.

Nah I have withdrawn mine and cashed them out

Can i ask you why you didn't wait monday to sold them at 20$ on paybase ? You think that it will not happen ?

Even if it will, they will probably piss me off with their stupid Tire system... 4 verifications just to cash out what I already own? what the fuck..
i'll take out the coins, and wait monday, for the REAL exchange course to be in my favour... fuck gaw, i'm totaly pissed of with their service... even if with some magic this really works out for them, i dont want to deal with them any more...

who else is happy to have left gaw? tonight was awsome

Hell yes!  Cashed out as soon as I could.
Could have actually made a lot more if I would've kept mining HP and waited to sell my primes but I wasn't willing to take the risk given how incompetent they have proved to be.

O on another note i got my spondoolies units today... 3.5TH. I've been mining digibyte as i need a base amount for a community project. Is XPY rental still profitable in its final day or should i not bother. I'm pretty sure in the last 6 hours i've done more mining then josh has. I can do a video tour if anyone wants and show my ass crack. My farms a bit boring though 2 x 1500W power supplies and 2 x spondoolies.

You can still get twice the BTC rate on Westhash/Nicehash. So do it.

They are paying out 104% now. They haven't been above 160% in the past 24 hours. So there is virtually no advantage to not just be mining BTC again unless renting your hash to Paycoin miners helps slow difficulty for a bit.

It's paying out at a rate 104% higher than normal BTC mining.  100% != regular BTC rate, that would be 0%--it's still profitable to continue with these ridiculous rentals, but I imagine they will continue to diminish through the weekend.

No, it's 4% more profitable than BTC mining. 200% would be twice as profitable.

That is not fixed odds, so it's impossible to bet normally. Also, I chose the lower value because the people who think it's going to fail think it will happen soon, whereas people who think it will last may not expect the exchanges to be above $20 (if it's at 19.50 because of exchange fees, that gets settled at "no). If you make another one, please make it fixed odds and I may bet.

How is it impossible to bet "normally"? Just bet on "Yes" and you'll be rich, everyone is going to bet against you and you'll make a lot more than the piddly 10% on your own bet.

I'm not sure everyone is betting against me, and the odds will change if gaw maintains the paywall; everyone will switch to yes and I'll make a very low return. On my bet I make 900% (betting 1 btc for 10.) and anyone who bets against me can make 10%.

I won't bet on anything that isn't fixed odds, because the EV is much harder to calculate, as it depends on how others bet. On fixed-odds, it doesn't matter what others do, I have the same payoff as when I first placed the bet.

Yes definitely.  But I was one of the lucky ones to get in early and bought half of my primes under $20 and had converted hardware.

I cant access now. Yeah i think. The thing only for 90 days

Thats not a miner, thats a staking wallet, you need to buy the coin to go in it and hope that you get some profits from it Smiley

My whole problem with proof-of-stake is that it's supposed to be analogous to putting money in say a 3- or 6-month CD where it sits tied up and earns interest.
The reason a CD earns interest is that while it sits tied up, the bank issues loans and extends credit to businesses (very few 3- or 6- month personal loans). These businesses take the loans in order to continue day to day operations and repay it with a portion of future sales proceeds. The reason the businesses need the loans is that it's cheaper for them to borrow than to sit on excess cash that could put to work doing productive things.
Meanwhile, the bank promises you x% on your CD while it charges x + y% to the business, and makes the incremental profit of y%.

With a POS wallet, where does the interest come from? If it's just coming from the POS hashing creating a flow of coins by generating new money supply, well this is doomed to fail. Imagine if instead of the mechanics of the CD above, you put the money into the CD and get promised x%, and instead of loaning that money out to earn a spread on the interest received they ask the Fed to print x% more dollars for you. Nothing has changed. There has been no value added. The result is just more money, which will ultimately reduce the *real* value of that money in terms of buying power:

Say $100 buys all the groceries you need for the month.
You put $100 in a 3-month CD that pays a 3-month rate of 2%. And assume the second scenario where money is just created for you and not put to work. You receive $102 back after 3 months, but now it costs you $102 to buy all the same groceries for the month that used to cost $100.

I have been unbanned by Josh (GAW CEO) at HT.   He told me there was a report that I was trolling here, but he isn't the one that banned me.   I told him my user name and he took the time to check what I had been posting and then he said I shouldn't have been banned.

I don't know if XPY/Paybase will be a success of not, but it is pretty amazing that he took the time to check on my ban and remove it.   I like to think for myself so I don't completely agree with anyone, but that was pretty good customer service.

I have > 100 Hashstaker primes and about 100 converted zens.    I'm not large but it isn't tiny either.    I don't think it was about the amount invested though.
