Unfortunately the extreme harassment and threats since the posting of a Facebook profile with friends/family information has lead to some horrible losses thanks to some very shady people with unreasonable demands.  This is an attempt to reach out and give customers what is left, even if it means liquidating personal assets to help.  I will start the process now of looking at customers on a case-by-case basis and doing what I can to help.  Any refunds in December will be aimed at those who have suffered "extreme" losses due to reduced payout.  I will begin to look at the remaining majority of accounts in January.

Questions may go unanswered for awhile, but that is because there is a lot of work to do.  Please be patient.  Unfortunately it will be impossible to make everyone happy but a very honest attempt will be made.

For those who are wondering, the owner is not laughing all the way to Mexico.  Losses have been substantial due to complete invasion of privacy and some very harsh blackmail that followed thereafter, but there will be a strong attempt to make things right even if it is unsuccessful.

I'm personally not going to speculate on whether mining is happening or not, but it looks like losses have caused for my account to not break-even when that was expected. I'd like a refund or compensation for the losses when it is possible, and I would assume all other customers would like that as well.

I have recently become active again after a long period of inactivity. Cryptographic proof that my account has not been compromised is available.

First thank you for not disappearing completely.
Can you please explain how harassments and threats could lead
to a financial loss?

First thank you for not disappearing completely.

You should thank MrTeal for that. Had he not figured out his identity, completely disappearing is precisely what Jason would have done.

It was not a warmhearted thank you, but I have to acknowledge that
Jason must have had some hard days. I really believe he's not a profi
criminal but a youngster who had a very stupid idea and missed the opportunity
to stop it at an early point. While I want my money back, I don't wish him
bad things like others here. I hope he learned his lesson for life.

If any of your claims are true, then you've filed police reports. Prove it.

He's not that young. He must be well over 30. And for some perspective, Pirate is facing up to 40 years of jail time and $40M in fine so far for his bitcoin ponzi.
I may find that exaggerated, but Jason just paying back whatever he wants to pay back, without even coming clean about what he did,  that aint nearly enough for him to learn his  lesson.

Ya, I'm not but buying any of this BS nor do I support his proposed “plan“.
I just thought one positive word before critcizing his statement would
be a good starter. Anyway, whatever he wants to do now, it will not
save him from legal prosecution.

This is all really interesting. I didn't think PBMining "contracts" were true contracts, so I asked customer support a few months ago for a copy of the "contract" and here's what they said:

Quote from: admin@pbmining.com
"Contract" is a broad term used in Bitcoin Mining, and is not necessarily reflective upon a piece of paper that you would normally sign and date.  I can describe your very simple terms to you through e-mail.

1. No refunds on a contract if a payout has already been made.
2. Hash power efficiency will never change from what it is now, even if we have technical issues.  Our insurance covers you so that you will always receive the proper payments.
3. Contract will end in 5 years after it has been activated.

If you have any more questions please let me know.

In the simple terms of their "contract" it says that the contract will end "5 years after it has been activated." So if PBMining stops paying out and rather just paying a lump sum out to "contract" holders, I believe that would be breaching their "contract" terms.

However since it isn't a true contract, I'm not sure how much of a legal case could be made against PBMining / Jason with this point.

Well I do hope no-one has come to any Injury or Physical Harm !

So given the apparent severity of the threats you've :

1) given in to their demands and paid up
OR
2) contacted the Authorities, passed on all of the evidence of said threats and paid up
OR
3) contacted the Authorities, passed on all of the evidence of said threats

Please can you confirm the "Account Balance" is now accruing at about 1/10 of what it should be doing because it has been deliberately set like that and that it's NOT a technical error ? Thank you.

Hmmm ... so you're implying the exposure of the person called "Jason" in the thread "PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts!" was just a convenient excuse to pack up and move on ? And the taking down of his Facebook profile is simply coincidental ? Or what ?

There's going to be a huge fallout from this for sure. The pbmining thread is locked now, people have been in rage-mode since the beginning of the year in there, it's going to spill out in a full on post freak out. Hopefully no one was heavily invested in it and had all their eggs in one basket. Anyone who had shares through me, I'm going to cover the loss and reinvest at my own expense with another provider.
