Proof?? For like what 50 coins? VTR mining cost for was around 1.5k satoshi, who in the right mind would dump any significant volume that low with Dev always active in development side. And I dont see any indicator that VTR current market cap is not at the absolute floor.

IMO The only reason VTR price sitting this low is 0 marketing from dev and from fuckers like you are trying too hard to give VTR bad image.

About the torrent implementation, currently uploading and seed ratio to generation of TOKEN (which is interchangeable to VTR in client) by seeding algorithm is already implemented but we are now in the process of implementing an anti-cheat system in our BitTorrent Engine as there are many known ways for users to spoofs their upload and cheat their share ratio with tools such as Tracker-Pro, RadioMaster, mRatio and GreedyTorrent which acts as a proxy between client and tracker.

If users are able to cheat their seed ratio, our whole system would then be corrupted.

An ICO with promises and zero technology get $millions vs. vTorrent with a great concept, a great wallet (ok, SDC but its plenty of their own stuff in there), working 2FA and a statement that torrent features are ready apart from working on making sure cheaters can't cheat.

If it wasn't for bastards whose mothers ignored them when they were babies posting shit because the internet gave them a way to talk to the outside world (not you at all drays, but there are a couple around here and they know who they are), the value of this project would be 10x where it is now.

Seriously, ICO's raising $1m, when the world has already demonstrated with the hundreds of millions of users that people just want torrents? This project should be 100x where the price is now. What if you could only connect through vTorrent because seeders all over the world on the BITtorrent network only seeded through a network that paid them? ..., I am not sure indeed. We know there was at least one developer helping vTorrent with his work (I believe that was pnoch). Apparently he was helping vTorrent with 2FA stuff, allowing him to focus more on torrent features. However he doesn't look like a permanent member of a permanent team, as he doesn't ever tell he is working on VTR currently.
Also the post you referred to, is from February, and there is more than half-a-year passed since that. We have no idea whether the torrent implementation and anti-cheat protection work has progressed ever since, or all efforts were concentrated on 2FA... Actually we have very little info on anything, to be able to make any definitive assumptions. With the little info we have, we can only speculate and guess.

So for me the "Dev" vs "permanent team of Devs" question is still open
As for the rest, you may well be correct.

Of course, it would be great to get one more piece of info from vTorrent (similar to the one he gave in February), to know what part of the BitTorrent implementation he is working on currently.

Before you thought it would take 3-4 months, but now you know that quite a lot was done done 6-8 months ago and you still consider it's too early to say for sure etc etc etc.  Just consider that for a while. If quite a lot of work is already done, one person or 10 people working on this project doesn't make that much difference if there is a release plan in progress. It it's done, it's done.

SDC at $10m and DASH at $80m are both built around one dev.

Don't go all Stockholm syndrome with these sons of donkey's who feel compelled to spend 5BTC into a new ICO with vaporware and happily dumps VTR at these stupid low prices with hardfork release plans already confirmed.

Why would the devs be looking at two hard forks within the next six months?  Come on fellas, think it through.

I agree to most of what you tell, Goergem, so what I tell below is not to argue, those mostly just free thoughts on the subject.

The project time-frame anyway looks to be long enough. Two forks in the next 6 months most probably mean first steps of torrent integration into the actual blockchain, aka start of public beta testing of the basic torrent-related functionality. I expect there lots of discussions and probably disagreement (as everyone has his own view on how this should be done). Its interesting whether the Dev intends to take it into account, or he has 100% fixed vision..

If quite a lot of work is already done, one person or 10 people working on this project doesn't make that much difference if there is a release plan in progress. If it's done, it's done.

"If it's done, it's done." - true, but only to some extent . Most of developers I have worked with (even very good ones) consider things done as soon as the basic "skeleton" functionality is implemented. But in real business world "done" means - "completely thought out, with all the smallest details considered"+"all of the essential parts implemented, including the smallest details"+"all these tested and passed quality control, including stress testing and many other kinds of testing"+"all this reviewed by multiple people with different strengths and areas of expertise, as one single person could/would always miss something".

Its a bit strange the Dev doesn't ask or discuss anything here. To have a proper torrent implementation in blockchain, one has to consider huge amount of details, and there are so many questionable aspects there!! One explanation could be - maybe indeed there is a team, and they discuss it internally to the extend they don't need any input from outside..? I would be happy if that's the case

Truly saying, I see the VTR idea to be much more complex than those two projects you mentioned, both because of many conceptual questions, and also due to the insanely wide user- and 'abuser-' base of torrents, people (or governments) who will try to abuse, break and stress the VTR beyond all measures. That's also the reason why VTR should have much bigger market cap when being ready and working
