For marketing I would suggest try creating a kind of treasure-hunt on a regional or national radiostation..

I think a treasure hunt would bring some much needed exposure/promo. However, the only way to conduct such a promotion was if you were allowed to "tag" dropped geocoins specifically for the event. Otherwise people could just drop coins at their house and pick them up.

This type of "coin tagging" would make it possible for companies or groups to run their own private coin hunts / promos, which would be awesome.

Coin tagging and treasure chest pickups (a centralized drop that can give a certain amount of coins to each person that visits... think of a treasure chest at a concert or outside of a baseball stadium) are two things that I think would add some real value to GEO; but it's up to Tobler to implement.

I like the promotional ideas mentioned above as well.  I was also thinking that getting more exposure to the Geocaching community to get them excited about GeoCoin and the potential to earn some money while actively caching.  They have millions of Geocaches worldwide and I'm sure they also have millions of users as well.

A great way to do this is to use established GEO caching sites and hide a GeoCoin pamphlet including a paper wallet with some GeoCoin.

geocoin.cash should have a pamphlet creator in it. It would be great if someone with design skills could help design this. Or maybe you could hire someone to create one. Or use a template. Then we could print out the pamphlet and hide on listed on other apps.
