Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

unfortunately iam not a early adopter, so i couldn't earn much bitcoin from them i've tried a lot of faucet like freebitco, moonbitco, landofbitco etc but its so hard to make 1$, and then i found altcoin faucet, i've earned much coin was, when the price is low, so far just earned bitcoin from my referrals on freebitcoin

Do you earn altcoin from faucet and sell it for bitcoin? That is a good way to earn some bitcoin. That is not good for the adoption of altcoin.

Yes i was earned much altcoin from faucet of course i earned when the price was low, then sell them when the price was high, so far there are some altcoin's faucet is working right now like clams and dogecoin,  collect them and sell high is the key.

Alt coin faucets are not good enough like bitcoin faucet. Because they are paying like the bitcoin amount of Satoshi in alt coin also. That is very bad intention like cheating the faucet users. I do not prefer to go for alt coin faucets at any recommendations.

Then you doing it wrong. Only use faucets that use the Xapo wallet. Every payout from each of these faucets go to your Xapo wallet and it's all off-chain. Once you have built up

enough coins, you transfer one amount to a online wallet and it becomes part of the blockchain. This way you create no dust in your account and you can spend almost everything

you own from these faucets. I do this and pay no fees on any of my transactions. You just need to do it right.  Roll Eyes

This is a common amount of satoshi most people here earning from fuacets. So the fuucet onwers that same amount of satoshi for alt coin earning also. This is completely unfair to give us such a very low money for the work and traffic we give to faucet owners at least.

Faucets are waste of time since 2014. If you don't experiment first faucet which gives 5BTC per claim you couldn't know how it feels. Smiley
Now the biggest faucet gives only dust, I pay more fee than that claims in a single transaction.

I use faucets and gamble 3 Satoshi for a 0.1 jackpot. How is that a waste of my time?

A waste of time is what some people do. Farming faucets and claiming they're rich when they get 3k Satoshi from their faucet. "1 PERCENT! I WON FROM A 1 PERCENT!"

How is it unfair? You're making a decision on your own. Nobody is forcing you to use faucets. It's a voluntary action.

Late 2012 to early 2013 was the last time I know faucets give 1 - 5 bitcoins max. That was when the prices are below $30 I think, and the idea of faucets aren't that very known yet unlike today.

I suppose it depends on one's viewpoint and I think faucet is good for beginners like me  Smiley ,  i hope faucet have a long life  Grin
And may I ask how much you earn weekly from faucets? I bet it is not more than $50 cents. Do you still think faucet are 'free money'?

you can easily get 100.000 satoshi (0.001 bitcoin) or so a week without much effort.

Is it worth it?

well, if you only do it when you're on the toilet anyway or not doing anything useful, why not?

uh 1 btc is really good even if the price was only 30, this is far better than what we have today, i think 1-5 btc was too much, maybe you're confused

could be more true if it was in 2010 or so, but i doubt there were faucets back then, maybe i'm wrong..

It's pretty insane. 1 BTC to 5 BTC from a faucet? How much time would you require back then to get that 1 BTC? I just don't believe you would get 1 BTC every day back then on a daily basis from every single faucet because the price was already high enough for this to not be viable. 30 dollars for doing nothing? I don't get it.

When BTC started, nobody had any and it was worthless, so it was right to give away thousands of BTC to make it popular. All that has changed. Now that BTC's worth something, now that companies are building on BTC, now that serious business transactions are made with bitcoin, it's about time for faucets to adapt.

BTC is real. It's money, and you've got to work to earn some. I hope all faucets will disappear in 2015. Faucets are hurting bitcoin by making some people believing you can get it while doing nothing sitting in your home. No, BTC isn't like that, and it shouldn't be any easier to get than any fiat currency. Even for small amounts.

probably some people assume that "bitcoin" are a free currency like a penny cash give for some actions take on the net (where even you can spend for drugs etc see darknet).
some not enough smart people can try to become rich with faucet Smiley (like try to F*** with tshirt) but even it's the message of faucets wrong.
The best remains popular campaign like stellar for example that give a small amount at start of every account (i know for btc it's impossible) but this idea doesn't give the weak idea that stellar are a free currency that you can get for free.
I use faucet, but only to repay some transaction fee and for receive money for referall system, but even are some peanut, when I buy a coffee I spend the same money Smiley

Its a faucet in that it tips per picture. All a faucet is sending tips to people.  Grin

Bitcoins are 'pooled' and distributed as the posts come in. No different then any faucet out there giving bits of Bitcoin.

Yes, something is wrong here. Who the hell would give you $30 in one hit? That's way too much. People would abuse the crap out of faucets like this, even though there wasn't too many bitcoin users at the time.

I mean 10 people would be enough to abuse a faucet like this. Even $3 is too much when you really think of it.

I will make you sad, faucets won't dissapear not in 2015, not in 2016 and not even in 2025. Why? Because if there will be almost no faucet websites, one that will exist will get all attention so some money also Wink
