Where/how can one buy shares?
If i wanted to buy 10 shares, what % of ASICMINERS network total would that be equal to. Also what would 10 shares cost? And are any shares available?
There are passthrough's set up on btct and bitfunder (i'm not 100% certain about bitfunder). The current going rate is ~0.65btc/share (6.5BTC for 10). There are 400k shares total - and with 10 shares you'd have 0.0025%. There is also this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=148282.0It would be a bit of an irony if BTC guild rejects these for some weird reason
I'm guessing it already has.

We are hitting blocksize max + low fees (or nothing ) + newly generated coins are with lower priority. It would be a bit of an irony if BTC guild rejects these for some weird reason Something's going on, since I received these two transactions from ASICMINER I sent out 2 x 20 BTC payments to two different addresses and no confirmations have shown up for any of them yet. I received a total of just over 2 BTC from ASICMINER and already had had 200 BTC in my wallet at the time but nothing's confirming for me at the moment. I sent one of the transactions about 90 minutes ago and it's got nothing, I paid the fee as well. I can't help but feel this issue is somehow connected to the very slow confirming dividend transactions. I could be wrong though.

You can buy 11 shares of DMC on Bitfunder and trade them (someday) for 1 ASICMINER. If you just want the exposure, buy into a pass-through or a mining fund holding the shares, such has JAH. https://bitfunder.com/asset/DMChttps://bitfunder.com/asset/JAHhttps://bitfunder.com/asset/G.ASICMINER-PTI'm buying all three!

Would buying DMC at current values not give you the same exposure to ASICMINER as buying a share for 0.50 (or close to). Seems like a better deal then the pass-throughs.

But 3000 unconfirmed txes isn't that much when you consider no blocks in 30 minutes.

Nope, no worries, it's just been awhile since I've seen so many unconfirmed transactions sitting there for any length of time.

In practice Diablo has a declared policy on paying out half received dividends as dividends and using half to execute buybacks of shares. Last dividend he actually paid out over half as dividends, used well under half for buybacks and kept about 1/4 as cash. No idea why - so you take on the gamble of his semi-random actions. On the bright side, every time he buys back you own more ASICMINER shares/share - so its good for long-term exposire. On bad side he pays dividends monthly so you have to wait for them then see what random percent he pays out, what random percent he buys back with and what random percent he keeps as cash for no stated reason.

Can anyone back track the numbers from the dividend payment and give an accurate count of how many GH/s ASICMiner had in the last week?
0.01916298 BTC * 200,000 shares = 3832.596 BTC total. So about 152-153 blocks.
Does anyone have an accurate count of: How many total blocks were mined in the past week? And what was the average GH/s over the past week?
Total blocks mined / 152 = % of ASICMiner share in mining
Average GH/s * ASICMiner % = ASICMiner average GH/s over the week.
By my rough estimates, it seems like ASICMiner had an average of 4.5 TH/s over the entire week. But would like someone with better data to confirm.
So I'm guessing we had 6 TH/s towards the end of the week. (Which would mean 4TH/s in btcguild + 2TH/s in ozcoin. But no private mining.)

No, 0.01916298 BTC * 164000 shares (something like that) / .95 = 3307 BTC 134 blocks.

Network luck is pitiful (7 blocks in ~3 hours) right now. LOTS of transactions not getting confirmed as a result, so your dividend may just be stuck in limbo at the moment.

Is it really needed to confirm the number of shares with satoshi's? Using the blockchain for communications isn't a good idea. It spams the system, bloating everything. Just saying...

low fee, lots of dust, lots of other transactions waiting. it will sooner or later. don't worry. Or double spend the coins with a fee the default client considers acceptable? Plug: I am longing ASICMINER shares. I will pay 0.7 BTC in the next six months per share. PM me if you are interested.
