I think this is a good news Smiley
However, what does "average hashrate percentage similar to 2013" really mean?
It can be anything from "similar avg to whole 2013 year avg" (which was what?) to Dec 2013 numbers.

Up we go, from 1.8 to 2.4 (50 wall will fall soon). How unreal is that a post (or two) from a guy makes +30 % instantly...

We should keep a close look on this chart: https://data.bitcoinity.org/bitcoin/hashrate/6m?c=m&r=week&t=a We have to see if the spike in unknown hashing power really is AM. But I guess if most mining is/will be done by franchisees, we may not see the increase but rather see that hashrate in regular pools.

I'm looking forward to speculation in the speculation thread again lol
Actually goes to revive it now jumping the gun before this place becomes a mess XD

Status Revived: Shaking the ghosts who have that on watchlist ^_^

Ha, cue the gandalf meme 'AM Speculation thread, new post'? I haven't seen that in a long time!

Indeed anyways it will be fun to see the bulls and bears again kind of just went into depression lol its following the sentiment gauge so far

FC isn't just a guy. He knew how to play the market back in 2012/2013 when he manages to be a first-mover in the ASIC market. He tried to push things further by just selling chips, but that failed, because the competition got too strong and the BE200 chips performed below expectations. If he indeed can push back into the mining game, we may see a return to at least some greatness of the past.

Similar sentiment but I feel a tad bullish right now I'll enjoy and relish the moment before some bears come in to throw cold water on it ^_^
But I think so too the last few rounds were bombs but considering the BE200 Chips and their fabrication and partners their is a chance to see some of the greatness of the past, alongside their reentrance into the mining sphere it will be interesting to see how this progresses.

I did not get the memo about the "good news". This is friedcat telling us he hasn't been doing good: how many times will you folks just pretend-celebrate because of a few words in here? I would suggest holding back the "to the moon" and "friedcat for president" posts for when we actually see dividends, for all we know he might withhold the mined coins to fund a hypothetical 4th gen.

This might be a funner way of doing it put your BTC where your mouths are ^_^

I thought about making this more fun I remembered a photo to Friedcats Golden ticket so I made a bet for everyone ^_^
Havelocks AM1 Share price will reach 1 BTC by October 1st 2014
Seems like a fair bet on Friedcat delivering his hashrate by that time if there are any takers put a bet on Yes or NO
3 Months to settlement is 1 quarter so it seems like a great timeframe.

Although your argument is valid, the market speaks opposite right now. Might be the case that a couple of crazy rich men are playing, or it simply is understood as a good news.

But regardless any facts, the price goes up, which makes it good news event if it wasn't at first ...

People are starting to panic and pull their orders lol

It could be because there are unknown addresses that have 4% and 3% of the present hashrate lol somethings happening so whether one of them is Friedcats or not needs to be confirmed that said if dividends are coming or not is another question
https://blockchain.info/pools?timespan=24hrs

It's not the Old mining address
https://blockchain.info/address/1HtUGfbDcMzTeHWx2Dbgnhc6kYnj1Hp24i

Friedcat did say he started mining since the middle of July

Update

1. Due to the relatively lower interest from individual miners as well as OEM producers, the self mining has re-started from middle of July. We had gain access of cheap electricity and high power capacity. We hope to regain the average hashrate percentage similar to 2013 with this generation of chips.

Even organofcorti has been interested in them for a while now but those have been active since May
http://organofcorti.blogspot.ca/

There are some possible candidates from those addresses though if its solo

Did you do an analysis of which addresses started generating new coins mid July? Care to share those addresses? Smiley
We need a list of all addresses that started mining in July so far!

Nothing I'm confident on yet but I did scan a few from Table 3 there were a bunch that started finding blocks this week
The question is if they switch to a different address after X blocks so more time is needed to check for recurring addresses.
Table 3: Blocks solved by unknown but re-used generation addresses Jul 20 2014 to Jul 26 2014

Table looks ugly best look at source ^_^

Seems to me the spoondoolies conjecture was way off base. FC always had the self mine option and would not sell chips at or below cost. Many AM shares changed hands. Someone/s made a lot of money preying on the fear of others.

2. The price rockminer gets is not the sales price. It's the premium of franchising. We gain the part of profits after the devices begin to generate revenue like the franchising of devices. The sales price of chips stay a relatively high margin because our option of building our own devices and sell/deploy is always wide open.

3. We announce the sales of our own devices. We would arrange an offline meeting in Shenzhen first to share more information. We will post the English version of it on the meetup sub-board.

Fire those farms up. It is time for ASIC MINER to reclaim it's rightful place as King of Bitcoin Mining.
