Any bets on FC's age? Like is he older than 20 or so? Smiley

In the first few posts on this thread FC said that he had IC experience so I would bet that he is 35-40.

Did he? I think he told that he is a software guy, but had some contacts to IC designers etc.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Why are people selling out when we are about to start mining or already have/big news

Because it's a predictable pattern that is easy to profit from.  FC speaks, confidence increases, share prices go up, silence ensues, price falls back down. Unless this announcement comes accompanied by a dividend (not likely), you can expect prices to drop afterwards.

from the interview with rockxie:

What were the challenges of designing, funding and bringing to market the RockMiner line of miners?

The cooling system is very important facet of miners, stability and convenience are others. The most challenging is time, time and time.

It's about 9 hrs before the Salon begins in Shenzhen...  and probably about 10 hrs before the share price is either $0 or $1000 in your local fiat Smiley

( If FC reveals the div address, I'm pretty confident I'll be putting in my resignation at the day job.. )

Remember he had 60PH of chips bought and paid for already for June-July possession.

He also open sourced a design that anyone can use..  He has shown integrity to the highest standard.

He is also finally becoming a public identity.     Friedcat has a license to print money.

If that isn't enough for you.... Look at the current Havelock order book..  If you don't buy now, don't bother trying later.

** Simple math for the Trolls... and anybody seriously selling shares trying to manipulate for a quick buck.

 Current_Share_price minus upcoming_divs= True_cost_of_speculation..
Chance of manipulation & Massive dump above .4  = Expected...Even smart people who gambled at .2 rolled the dice and won.
Chance Friedcat will build a massive company but not bother to build a massive mine when he (&bitfountain) own approx 2/3rd shares.. Not fucking likely..

We're just along for the ride.

Stop bitching..  fasten your seatbelts...and hold on tight.

So true.   Anyone who thinks they can try to cancel those silly  .35-.45 asks at the last minute is an idiot.

Anyone who thinks they can casually buy shares in 10 hrs for under .27 is also an idiot..

Upcoming div's alone will basically cover share-price.

The time to buy was a month ago, regardless if the intent is quick speculation or long term holding.

Tomorrow is time to grab popcorn or a cold beer and wait..    You'll need the beer regardless of the outcome Smiley

You can buy some at Havelock: https://www.havelockinvestments.com/order.php?symbol=AM1 They offer you to trade the direct AM shares they hold on their website. They're rather trustworthy I'd say, but no one can give you a guarantee. Always make up your own mind and make sure you don't invest BTC you can't afford to lose. Also no one can guarantee you that AM will actually pull through with their plans or Havelock won't go bust.

I suspect they will have a website at some point as a result of plans for manufacturing equipment and I equally expect tonight will be focused on developing and selling future product more than selling the merits of the company based on past instances. I am doubtful this meeting is designed to cater to shareholders.
