Back before hardware wallets or Electrum or MyEtherWallet I just did it the old fashioned way and used a paper wallet. Went to that bitcoinaddress website, saved it offline, doubled checked the hash on the offline computer. Then I created about a hundred different addresses, made each private key encrypted with a password that would take millions of years to crack. Bought a $20 printer at Walmart, printed out a few copies, then destroyed that printer office space style.
Then would send everything to one address, and when I need to spend it I would send to wherever I need to send it and the change would go to the new address. It was very time consuming however I didnt mind because I knew it wasn't possible to get hacked in any shape or form that way.
Years later I realised that I didn't need to keep destorying $20 printers when the private key was encrypted anyways. But the printer was cheap. They were like $10 each plus a $10 environment fee.
Those were the good old days...
a keylogger is the biggest fear to the software wallets if the trezor solves this by forcing an manual click of a button to withdraw or speend funds on metamask that would be good but the ledger hardware wallet hack has soured me on these |

It takes a while for a hardware wallet to arrive, plus you have the issue where your private information can be stored on a database that gets hacked later like with Ledger.
Your best bet is to download Electrum. Find an old laptop you never use. Rip out the Bluetooth and Wifi module from it. Install Electrum on both your online and offline computer. Use the old laptop to sign your transaction. The online computer will only be a watching only address.
If you don't have BTC and only ETH, then you can do the exact same thing with MyEtherWallet. Just download it and run it offline and use the "Offline Helper" tool to create offline transctions. You can do this on ETH and any of the tokens. This way your crypto will never get stolen.
Ordered Trezor at the start of January and got it last week, there is some delay and post isnt working very well now. Just my experience. I have been using BRD (Iphone) for moving btc, i feel its quite safe but risk is always there. hardware wallets have an additonal attack surface thier software on top of intergration with metamask etc for defi i just use the software wallet and never store my private key digitally |

It's amazing, back there eth was just 200 usd, now is 1700 usd, bull market is really crazy, bear market is as crazy, soon everything will crash hard again just like in 2018. So my advice is to sell eth and dont look back, yeah it could keep increasing in price but for now it has a very high chance to crash to 200 usd again and then the bear market will start again. Do not assume eth or cryptcoins will go up forever or it will stay at the current price, crypto market has cycles and the bear cycle is almost upon us. Do not end up holding the bag, in 2018, coins crashed 95% or 20 times its all time high price. lol this isn’t even close to 2017 , we were close to 1 till market cap bCk then this more of a recovery after three years of bear market in crypto. when eth doubles its ath or maybe even triples it then we will be in full time bull market mode But for miners profits on eth are reaching what they were in 2017 The new gear uses less power. and Eth fees are stupid high . over 90 % I get 190.22% at via btc so an Eth coin for me is like 1.9022 x 1639 =3117 hashrate is 369 th it was 156 in dec 2017 coins were 1300 in 2017 2017. 2021 1300. 1639. price 156. 369. hash 3.5 2. watts per mh 125%. 192% via btc payout 3.3. 3.1. block size is almost equal due to fees So we are getting closer to 2017 my lone nvidia 3070 makes over 6.60 a day my lone nvidia 3060 makes over 6.60 a day my 3 nvidia 3080 make over 29.00 a day my lone 3090 makes over 12.25 a day 6 cards earn more than 54 a day those are crazy numbers for six cards what?! is that after power? |

Once eth goes pos and or these huge chinese farms get thier 30xxx orders filled out the mining profits will be back in the toilet and mining will be dead again so from the perspective of going forward long term its really going into the nice hobby zone , just wait on it |

I have a rig that loses a card every week or so and needs to be rebooted , why doe the miner keep mining even when watchdog fails with 1 card down
do i have to benchmark it to force it to reboot ?
Thanks for your question. The exact behavior will depend on the mining software you are running. Some of them will stop mining if they consider a GPU to not be working. What you can do from an Awesome Miner point of view is to configure a rule with a trigger called "Device Count". If you have the same number of GPU's in all mining rigs, you can specify to trigger when below a specific number. In case the number of GPU's are different per miner - each miner can be configured with the expected number of devices in the Managed Miner Properties, Advanced section. The trigger can be configured to compare with the expected number of devices configured on the Managed Miner. The rule action can be set to "Miner command" where you can select Reboot. thanks for reply the rule won't work beace the card stays active but is mining at 0 , I'll look into the mining software option I can only use phoniex and I don't know the settings for that thanks |

Opppsss.... I tried today it seems the problem still the same with low hashrate... What driver you currently use? Can you share your bat file I just want to try your settings? drivers are 430.86, 451.67 and 460.89 all of these works my .bat is very basic miner.exe --algo ethash --server asia1.ethermine.org:4444 --user yourETHaddress.workername you might be using 4gb system ram, make it at least 6gb .....this issue was already long ago too when it slowed my 1080ti, this might be your issue. its not the ram i do have a 16 gig ram might have something to do with page file ? 1070 only gets 25 m/s with 500 mem boost and 80% power it used to get 31 , 1070 Ti is unaffected I also tried gminer same deal |

Also a lot depends on Your power cost.
Say these exist you pay and wait 100 days.
They go out and build newer versions with your money.
Maybe three to five units with 6 or 8 gb.
Takes them a month . They now mine with the one you paid for for 70 days. And have multiple improved models added with the cash. So what happens. They score.

AMD 5700xt is say 400 you can get 30 for 12k and do 1500 hash for 3000 watts.
All on warranty. 3000 in cash left over. Pays for 30000 kwatts of ten cent power.
You use 120 kwatts a day with 30 5700xt units. So your power would be paid for 250 days.
I purchased three 5700xts this week for 1200. I know I can get 30 by the 1st of feb.
why buy 5700s anymore, wait for 3060 ti to become comin stock , i know hasrate and power is close i guess |

Shhh ... hes an anti-mining troll, who missed out on the mining boom bigtime, has major fomo, and now goes around trying to justify it on various mining threads/posts, so he can sleep better at night . Just ignore him. lol im not anti mining , i already said i mine as a hoby , $8000 plush shipping electrical hookups storable space etc you probably over 12k all in ill re math this since you don’t get the point of the post its around 50k profit from waiting till it hit $600. thats still 5x more than you genius investment no one cares if you mine have at it, but don’t pretend you’re doing better than people who just buy an hold , and now with the e3 you will have some expensive paperweights come january. Gpu miners tend to sell thier gear before they get obsolete but thats way harder for asic users since the secondary market is so small. Forget to mention i sold all my E3's in September this year , kept only 3  and guess what ? after 2 years of usage i sold them over or around 800$ each , I paid 800$ for my E3's 2 years ago thats sound like a " genius investment"  for me BTW , my GPU farm are way bigger than my asic farm ever was So my real investment per 10x Antminer E3 is 13028$ what i paid for power over that 25 months i used them When i got my E3's or we can say when i invested into E3's, the ETH price was over 400$ (2018 summer), then in that year August price started to fall , and by December the price was under 100$ ... The difficulty from 2018August till 2018 Christmas went from 3.5xxxx to 2.2xxxx . Lot of miners turned off they rig , bc the negative price change .. so miners who kept they rig running was able to earn more ETH There is how much time (hours) need it in 2018 for my 10 E3 to mine 1 ETH : Clearly can see how the difficulty change affected the time , what need to mine 1 ETH with 10 Antminer E3 ... From here you can see how much ETH i mined in a month in the end of 2018.... this is for 10 Antminer E3 ... In my first post i calculated my numbers with 170MH/s average hashrate/miner usually pool side reporting was over 170MH/s per miner ...   smart to sell in september, i feel for the poor bastards that bought your paperweights, they cost $900 or so with shipping im sure you didn’t get over $200 for them still a nice investment but i still would rather hold crpto than buy gear atm. To make it worse with yeild farming the profitablity from just holding and farming tokens crushes mining even more. |

Im still a believer ... and history repeating itself ... sold some coin again when ETH was over 600$ not to long ago ...
