1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 100 Most Influential People In Crypto on: December 16, 2019, 07:45:13 PM
Below are the top 100 crypto influencers. Do you agree with the list?

Disappointed after seeing John McAfee is on the list as he's nothing but a "Pay me money and I will say your project is good on my social media". The list would've been much better without him but hey, he's at least on #70 and a lot of other familiar names who have undoubtedly made a lot of contributions in their respective fields towards crypto.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: WARNING: The central banks are currently manipulating the S&P 500 right now. on: December 16, 2019, 07:33:38 PM
This is one of the main reasons why people have stopped trusting centralized institutions in general. Those in the dark could be oblivious to this manipulation and continue putting their money on the S&P 500 markets looking at the rises, only to later realize that there was blatant market manipulation. Some people even go to the extent of defending their investments against these allegations which is straight up stupidity on their part.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Indian State to Train 20,000 ‘Blockchain Experts’ by 2022 on: December 16, 2019, 07:21:41 PM
Fair play that the state which is taking this initiative is Kerala (most literate state in the country) and it comes as no surprise that people there are actually very keen on learning more about blockchain technologies.

Do you think it signals the "much-needed" faith that the Indian state or government would finally "change their hearts" about their negative views on Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies?

This is the main conundrum here, the government is not budging over its stance on cryptocurrency and it seems very likely to be this way until they're made to open their eyes and look at the positives of 21st century technology. I still don't think these trainees will even go anywhere near causing a change in hearts.
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Profitability of Trading Bots on: December 16, 2019, 07:11:10 PM
I have recently set up a bot and have been astounded by the operability of it. It's actually working lol.

Well, what else did you expect the outcome to be? Only takes a couple of hours or days to figure out the configurations and what pairs to flip but the end result over is almost always steady profit. The only possible drawback here could be if the market goes bleeding red and you're not around to shut down the bot, might take a few weeks to the stability point again.
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stable coins and Liquity problem on: December 15, 2019, 06:29:20 PM
There is Not enough ways to Get stable coins like usdt in to cash
And what we need is Something like app so we can pay with stable coins at Grocery store!

It Will save more us coz its not convient way to trade stable coins right Now!

U can buy and sell btc anywhere but what i Want is stable coins coz they are stable.

Don't quite seem to understand the point of your rant here OP, you say you don't have enough ways to convert stable coins into hard cash and proceed to say "it isn't convenient to trade stable coins right now"? - The only way you can get cash in your hands is by trading those coins for which you will be receiving cash in return.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin save U.S. from its rising national debt? on: December 15, 2019, 06:21:51 PM
This particular topic has a great influence from the political sector as whatever the US government does will significantly impact the price of the dollar. For once, the US would be the last of the nations to be worried about its national debt because of its role in the current world politics and yet Bitcoin wouldn't necessarily be that big of a detrimental factor towards paying off debts.
7  Economy / Economics / Re: Greeks face heavy fines if they don't spend 30% of their income electronically on: December 14, 2019, 03:55:59 PM
Coming from a country which had its economy in shambles recently, this is actually a positive move to help its people to move away from cash and into electronic payment systems. Fines imposed will definitely be used by the government towards possibly clearing the massive debt that already exists and it comes as no surprise that these are big numbers we're talking about here.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Exchanges that offers staking service on: December 14, 2019, 03:35:02 PM
With all the wave of hacks that have plagued the cryptocurrency exchange industry over the years, I would back away from staking on an exchange. Of course the entire concept of staking involves a user keeping hold of a large number of coins to gain a small portion of it and it goes without saying that even the top-tier exchanges in the industry have been known to be shaky when it comes down to their backend security.

my advice is to stay away from low rated exchanges that offers staking service, very soon they will claim to offer same service as well,

Goes without saying that the lower tier exchanges will also come up with similar offers in attempts to rotate the 'staked' coins and then the entire operation goes horribly wrong for many concerning reasons.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Google's Quantum Computer Destroy Bitcoin? on: December 14, 2019, 03:01:34 PM
I will read the archive later after I am done with my home works, but for now I am wondering if the recent price is connected to googles being able to make a chip that can be a super computer and break through Bitcoin. What if it is not true and just making things just to bring down the price of bitcoin and other crypto currencies?

Google has nowhere mentioned that their Quantum Computing capabilities will be put into use towards the cryptocurrency sector and it is very likely to remain the same. There are much better places for it to be utilized which extends mainly to scientific simulations especially in Physics. With that said, there could be a small possibility of Google going full monetary-headed and put it to use in the economic industry to directly to push their stock values up.

I agree with the advice you gave, adding partnerships will be an encouragement so that this IEO can run with the roadmap that has been outlined.
especially if this IEO is registered with several large exchangers.
That's right, adding a collaborative partner to a project is very much needed, so that the project can be helped and easier to complete the work that is written in the road map.

From what it looks, the team is emphasizing on their main net which they believe will be enough to bring in partners and sponsors. Pretty sure the PR team is also at work, constantly looking out for approaching entities to tie up with.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KSI vs Logan 2 on: November 10, 2019, 04:22:45 PM
KSI Edges Logan Paul With Split Decision To Win Grudge Fight

Honestly, the entire fight over the six rounds that occurred felt so underwhelming. I was watching it off a re-stream and I'm glad I did not opt to watch it on pay-per-view as it was quite the disappointment. Felt like two school kids were throwing themselves at each other lol.

Do we need another fight because there's a controversy?

No thanks. They've already made enough money from the audience from the two fights. Both of them can go back to creating their YouTube content for their monies as people don't even want to watch them fight anymore (rather watch UFC)
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Malaysia to Limit Cash Transactions in 2020 on: November 10, 2019, 04:10:24 PM
The limit is for physical cash transactions. If you need to transfer make more than 25K RM, then you need to do it electronically.[1] I don't think that's a huge problem for the people.

It could be a big problem for people who go around doing their daily business with hard cash as there is the cap of 25k RM. The only upside for such people is that it becomes much easier to transact big sums of money after depositing it in a bank and then sending it through the online payment method.

I'm not sure how they will monitor it though, maybe need to read the full policy draft.

Its quite easy for the government to monitor ALL of the transactions happening online with the use of a unified payment system model which is undoubtedly being developed for this purpose.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Initial Model Offering(IMO) replace Initial Exchange Offering(IEO)? on: November 10, 2019, 07:16:23 AM
While the name sounds a bit deceptive when it introduces the word 'model' instead of the typical terms of 'coin' and 'exchange', any new ideas are always welcome as long as it smoothens the procedure involved between the project team and the investors. Also, the mutli-phase sale will also benefit the project as it provides a basis for the team to work on, to show progress and rope in more investors.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This Regulatory Filing Could Soon Boost The Bitcoin Market on: November 10, 2019, 06:54:04 AM
Don't see how this is going to boost the already accelerating Bitcoin market as physical coins will have a series of things going against it. The entire point of an online cryptocurrency was to eliminate physical commodities while maintaining everything on a online ledger and it has been a massive success so far.

Coming to the topic of physical coins, we have witnessed the collectibles market over the last couple of years having a massive boom (mainly Casascius) and it is noticeable that these are minted collectibles rather than actual coins for trading purpose.
16  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Why do whales move Bitcoin around from wallet to wallet? on: November 04, 2019, 05:02:17 PM
Being a whale is quite the hard task itself as it involves a huge degree of risk of losing a lot of money all at once, all because of one bad decision. Wallet and coin storage services are sometimes known to be shady and any sort of shady activity seen by the user will result in them wanting to move the huge funds to a more secure location.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: could it be most project don't succeed? on: November 04, 2019, 04:27:48 PM

Is there no other ways BTT can track and trace such people posting such project the in the forum?
Is there no way we can run free and fair project in the system without us being scammed or tricked?

There is no way for Bitcointalk as a forum to approve a project as almost all projects tend to bring their products and services into picture only AFTER conducting one or more exchange offerings. As a result, it is impossible to say if a project is legit or just a scam other than simple call outs like faking the team details, plagiarism in the white paper etc. which is cracked down by the infamous Sherlocks on the forum.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: JUST IN: Chinese Central Bank to Launch Digital Currency Called "DCEP" on: November 04, 2019, 04:09:34 PM
Im. Reply to the OP, i don't think that China is working on it within the past 6 years in my opinion.

Given the crypto scene began to grow earlier in the decade and also the country here is China, it could possibly be a case of a team studying crypto over the years and giving the government inputs on how they could use it. A big factor here would be the currency getting tied up with the social credit system in China which is known to involve every citizen of the country and again, a leverage to monitor the entirety of the nation's (partial?) economy.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin disappear? on: November 04, 2019, 03:46:36 PM
Bitcoin's Enemies Are Planning Their Revenge

The only enemies here are the money-hungry governments from across the world who want to establish control over the cryptocurrency to the highest extent. Not only do they urge on taxing crypto holders residing within the country but also want to pile up additional stipulations and regulations for trading the same.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][IEO]🔥 E3T Connecting Global Entrepreneurs 🔥 on: November 04, 2019, 03:25:07 PM
Very different approach from the usual IEOs/projects which would only open trading markets after completing the entire sale. Either ways, looks promising on paper and the investors can hopefully rejoice once the entirety of the project comes online and delivers.
