1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: People are interesting talking more about their success stories. on: May 26, 2024, 06:32:53 PM
I see more of success stories of bitcoin, like how people invest bitcoin for their parents,  uncles,  and themselves to make fine profit. These stories are very interesting one and good to listen of what bitcoin has done for people but it makes me wonder if people don't have stories of failure about bitcoin. In the real life I see people who talk about their failed investment because of not having the right knowledge.  But here everyone talks about success stories and it makes me wonder if people are shy to talk about their failures, it can also help other people to learn. Learning is not just about from successful investment.

There are people that loss money in crypto and never even try it again and they don't speak a word about it, not because they don't feel like but because they respected their decisions and the risk they took to buy coin and sold at loss or get rugpull. Not just in crypto, for every successful stories you hear about forex today and expensive cars people display and furnish houses, there are people that loss money but they don't spray out the negativity, we have some people that loss and even call it a scam and we a respect their opinion even when that's a false phrase to use.

The fact that we have investors that has bought Bitcoin since 2010 and ttwy are still holding today and don't regrets buying back then, there is nothing bad to say about investing in Bitcoin. If you want to avoid losses and such kind of stories, learn to hold for a long time so as to avoid anything that will make you sell at losses incase the price dip down, Bitcoin has never been a straight journey.
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looking to buy huge Bitcoin on: May 26, 2024, 06:18:54 PM
Hey I'm looking to buying Bitcoin in amount of $5-10 M .
Seller must pass Satoshi text. If you got any advice or leads, it'll be appreciated.

1. You seem somewhat clueless on what you want, or you at least have some odd terminology.  ..."Seller must pass Satoshi text."?
2. 5-10M you say? Then get a business (exchange) help you with this.

You really think someone who actually has time to know things about Satoshi doesn't know about existence of exchanges? He is either taking his time to enjoy the show or he is capping. Most newbies who don't even understand nothing crypto are aware of the existence of Binance and other tier 1 exchanges.

Use over over the counter(OTC) mate if you are been serious.
3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you do TA on alt coins? I do it on BTC and trade market sentiment on alts. on: May 26, 2024, 06:12:31 PM
I have recently observed no matter how good your TA is, it doesn't always work on alt cos most alt price direction is impacted by BTC price.

When BTC is up all other coin move up. So why spending time on doing technical analysis on alts when doing it on BTC gives you a potential clue of most assets price direction?

You need TA for all coins either it's Bitcoin or altcoins in general. Altcoins are mimicking Bitcoin movements but there is what is called dominance. If you notice market movement, there used to be a time Bitcoin will be opening green candles daily and some altcoins will follow but not many of them do that, the once that move most are supported by the actions of fundamental news, that trend will continue until dominance of Bitcoin reduces and then that of altcoins increases, this is when you will have altcoin season that a lot of coins moves rashly, that's the moment of no TA but strictly fundamentals.

However, there are some instances where TA is important, after all the TA has finished their rallies, they will come back to make a retracement, you will need TA this time to know the next move, that's when the support of and resistance of the previous charts becomes important because you can't make new supports if the previous ones doesn't actually exist, you can't know much about a chart of a coin unless you know the previous activity of the coins, this is why you need to trade altcoins.
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your preferred method of converting bitcoin (or other crypto) to fiat? on: May 25, 2024, 08:49:10 PM
I know this question has probably been asked a bunch of times before, but with the ever-changing crypto landscape, I'm curious to hear everyone's latest thoughts.

What method do you find most convenient and cost-effective for converting your crypto holdings to fiat currency? CEXs, P2P, Debit Cards... ? Also curious if any new or up-and-coming techniques are on your radar.

Centralized exchanges are the best place you can have efficacy of conversation of your Bitcoin to any other options be it Bitcoin or other cryptos and fiats. Exchanges like Binance and Kucoin has been tasted and they are save because the exchanges act as the middleman, you will hardly run into scam but if you don't put caution into place while trading, there are some ways scammers might still scam you but they are rare because their insurance deposit merchants must made before they are allow to trade, so you are good to go but my problem is that centralized exchanges are not safe other like risk of custody.

If you need money to for spending, you will need fiat but don't forget you will py tax if you leave in a country where crypto are tax but if you need conversion to buy other coins, there is no need to convert from fiat to crypto, you can simply use centralized exchange conversion to convert into any crypto of your choice.
5  Economy / Economics / Re: Hyperinflation - Will it lead Countries to Adopt Bitcoin? on: May 25, 2024, 08:28:28 PM
The hope for bitcoiners is like that, but what about the government, of course it won't be that easy to legalize bitcoin, even though we have a good idea, but we don't have the power for the country to adjust to what we think. Bitcoin adoption can control the hyper inflation that is currently occurring, because currently the value of Bitcoin can be said to have increased more than inflation, even many times

Do you know we are the government, everybody that is a citizen is a government and if indeed they practice democracy that says government of the people, by the people and for the people. So let's say the fact and the fact is that Bitcoin can't be adopted as a currency. The volatility kills the economics of fiat and for this reason, it wouldn't work. Fiat might be a garbage but the fact that it's what government want, Bitcoin is out of game for them, maybe individuality can adopt but not on the government level.

The government prefer gold and other financial instruments for it's people, you can see the battle Bitcoin has faced and the ones it's facing currently, there is developments with ETF but yiu can see it's written all over their face, they are not happy with but because individuals want it but fear the concept of not holding the main Bitcoin, they opted for that at discretion and risk but for government, forget it because it wouldn't happen.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: How to improve your condition? on: May 25, 2024, 07:05:26 PM
I belong to a country where jobs are non-existent, offline work is not something that can earn more money with less work or even with more work, it has become very difficult to earn a living with dignity. Online jobs are not allowed in our country, especially trading, so my question is, what job can a person do and improve his condition?

I have heard from everyone that it is not your fault to be born poor. Still, it is your fault to die poor, so my question is after so many restrictions, how can you survive without any opportunities or become rich and how can it be your fault if you are talented and well-educated and you don't have people to bribe or recommend? You are not given a chance anywhere to show your ability and any work that is online can't be done because your government doesn't allow you and if you do it, all authorities and forces will fall behind you.

Regards
SK

I just want you to know that life is not full of roses, because they say life is easier over there doesn't mean it's actually roses over there. Some people use United state as a route to get a better life, get a job and leave the dreamy they want to leave but we have people over there that are still complaining that life over there is not fair, they feel the taxes you pay take away their savings and all that because basic amenities are expensive and the health care over there is poor, this is why some people prefer UK over them because of free health care that is available for everyone as long as you pay your taxes.

Your country is full of corrupt people who has back heart that doesn't give a damn about its citizens and it's African thing entirely, there is corruption everywhere but the level of the ones here in Africa is an upgraded version that wouldn't leave very soon despite having independency many yeaes ago, we are blinded by our greed and religion differences that we don't own, it's given to be practice and not for slavery.

However, there is opportunity in your country, there are rich people in there isn't, they survive just like you. It takes one person to change poverty generation from their family, don't give up when you found yourself in any circumstances, they are temporary and it will fade away if you believe, keep struggling until you get to the destination.
7  Economy / Economics / Re: Luxury items stock will be good way to go on: May 25, 2024, 06:44:59 PM
I think Luxury items brands cucci Ferrari or some yacht companies Luxury resorts and hotels.
and even in recression those things always on high demand and when we look at geopolitical situation all over the world by all those issues at the end more and more wealth will go to hands who will consume luxury goods.

Wait a minute! Grin Do people actually still care about Gucci and Fendi stuff? I remember back in campus when Gucci, Versace, Fendi things were the next thing with big boys, these things were used to rate big class from the average class back then and the funny thing is that I envy them that time and I wish I had some for myself too but with time after graduation and see the outside wall of school, I knew there is more too life than luxurious and expensive items because of names. These materials things are just shit show for wasting money and are bad financial mistakes.

Quote
It's like bank robbery lol...let them rob bank and i'll get some % asweell without doing anything because the money end destination will be luxury brands:)
More poverty might mean that a lot money for few and it's good for luxury brands life is short off course they want taste touch and feel all the finest things in the world.

People that invest in most of this things don't know about what investment is about and perhaps the got lucky with wealth, like it's possible for someone to invest into something and then make high profits and then spend it  anyhow because the process was easy for them.

One thing people don't understand is that their alternatives to most of these hype materials but because of show off and wealth display, they just want to spend money recklessly without understanding if tomorrow will be the same or not.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How fast can one achieve Crypto millionaire status with meme coin? on: May 25, 2024, 06:31:01 PM
We do hear about the crypto Millionaires that did get rich from investing in the meme coins. But how does he know to buy millions of these coins that is not worth anything, to now he is a Millionaire.

There is so many meme coins all we need to do it get lucky and pick the right one. Then we can make so much profit it is ok if the other investments in our portfolio don't make huge gains. But we have to be very lucky for that to happen to us.

I don't buy into most of those stories because out  10,000 people who invested in such type of project, you will hardly see one person who did made such kind of profits, they are just rare. The OP is asking a way that meme coins is going to change his life, he didn't ask how to avoid ways in which meme cons can ruin his life, few of them succeed last season and the rest never made it to this 2024, even the ones that did are still struggling for liquidity probably a way to sell in their buy target and exit the market.

Another problem of memes coins today is that we now have plenty number of them that you hardly know the one that might archive it's success. If you look at Solana network and check the number of meme coins on the blockchain, you will be shock how 80% or even more are scams and has nothing to offer the community but rugpull and these shitcoins are easy to create because of the low fees, Ethereum is less dramatic because of the fees.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could This Web3 Project Be Aiming For Greener Solutions? on: May 24, 2024, 09:39:15 PM
As people try to reduce their impact on the planet, the blockchain world is also trying to go green. Traditional mining uses a lot of energy and hurts the environment, so new blockchain platforms are being created to fix this problem.

These new platforms, like SolarX, offer ways to mine cryptocurrency without harming the planet . https://solarx.ai/whitepaper
Do you think this is a good idea? Will big blockchain companies start using these eco-friendly methods, and how will this change the industry?

If you are looking for the masters of sugar coating a project, please give it to altcoins because majority of them are base on hype and trend, as soon as that phase passed, you will see how those projects will be forgotten, some Wil find it hard to produce a green candle in the chart in the weekly or monthly candle except when the Rema is cooking some update for people to buy the rumors and then sell the news and after, it goes back to default sleep mode.

Just know that most of this English are just on paper when they are not launch yet, things will change when the coin enter the market. Artificial intelligence are going to shape the world the way we are seeing already but some aims and objectives of AI are below scope of studies for now, maybe in the future things are going to change.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin profit - when is being greedy too greedy? on: May 24, 2024, 09:29:23 PM

On the other hand I moved into my first house 6 months ago and the amount I can cash out now will help pay towards some of the work we want done to the house.

I have not been in this position before, it is my first bull run and this is the first investment that has given me 40x return so not sure what is best to do.

You see,  one of the reason why people make millions and lose millions the same market they made it, it's because they don't have experience. Statistics said it that people who make their first large amounts of money lose it carelessly and that's what you are doing.

If you have made such kind of profits, why not just the profit and reinvest the capital, a place where you made your first big money can make you more again if you put more effort into the things you put into consideration that help you in the process to win the first one. Take that profit and make use of it outside crypto, don't lose your money into shitcoins.

Quote
I am leaning towards cashing out half of the remaining amount I have left and then leaving the other half until the peak of the bull run but is that too much too cash out this early or is it the smart thing to do?

I know taking profits is never a bad thing but could cost me a lot if this does continue to grow in price a lot over the next 6-12 months , that is my concern.

You are looking at the only bright side of crypto and that's a good thing but it's because you made a good profits but I'm sure the story would have change if you made -50% from your investment. Just know that altcoin that give you profit can also take it, the 40x you made can vanish under 24 hours if bad things happen to the market, that's the bad side of investing in altcoins.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Religion. Beliefs or Choices? on: May 24, 2024, 09:17:28 PM
I am a Christian, so I believe that the price of our freedom has already been paid on the cross of Calvary, so we can only be good to each other and try to follow the commandments of Jesus Christ. Now if games cause you some kind of problem, it's good to see if the problem is in the game or in you....Playing is very good and I really enjoy it, as long as it's done responsibly.

In some countries where job opportunities and employment are too sacres and very competitive, if you do a survey in that society, you will hardly find a person that doesn't gamble. Even the working class people are now gambler including the working class people. So gambling and religion doesn't has to get anything in common because they are two different but one need God intervention to understand it and how to escape gambling addiction.

I have justified this before, if gambling is going to affect us religiously, the government will never allow them exist but because you see them even in the TV, there is no need for intervention of any religious people to view it as bad thing, it's a simple gambling and nothing more unless for people that does something apart from gambling every Saturday of games.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: May 24, 2024, 09:05:16 PM
I don’t even have any doubts that Manchester City will win the FA Cup, with the way the two clubs are performing, Manchester United can’t really hold Manchester City. Guardiola won the Premier League title, he will do everything possible to win the FA Cup, and we all can see that Manchester United is not really in form, their defense is so weak that they can’t hold down Manchester City attackers. I think the match is going to be an easy win for Manchester City.

I'm afraid what is going to be the faith of Erik Ten Hag after that match. Towards the end of the season, Pochettino made Chelsea to be entertaining with how Cole Palmer was aiming to finish the Premier League as the highest goal scorer but what happened along the line, he was fired for not finishing in conference Europa, with this what do you think is going g to happen to Manchester united that didn't win any place for the Champions League and then failed to win the FA cup, he will be fired as soon as they lost the final.

Quote
I am not expecting any surprise from Manchester United in the match. Pep Guardiola will be using his full squad in the match, and he will do everything possible to win the match. Guardiola missed the Champions League this season, so he will want to win both the Premier League and the FA Cup.

I'm not sure if Guardiola has anything motivating to win this match, just a regular game and he is probably done type of thinking he will use that day and because Erik Ten Hag future is at stake, he will manipulate all his players to get through Manchester City. Look at Atalanta and Bayern Leverkusen result this season, yet they lost quickly that I thought the match would even end.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 24, 2024, 08:55:28 PM
The owners of the Chelsea are obviously not happy with the result for some few games from last season and maybe that's necessitated the result because they did not see Pochettino as an adequate competition for the likes of Manchester City coach and arsenal coach.

See the qualities and requirements that the owners are in search of;

source- X (twitter)

Who will be happy with such investments in buying players that expensive only to come home with nothing despite all the leagues that are been played and yet they never made it to the Champions League. Road Boehly is even calm with his rules, I will make sure many of those players are sold and replace because at this junction, I don't know if it's the players that are incompetent at this stage, he has change both players and coach but no significant progress from this team.

Quote
The owners want Chelsea to be able to hold possession like Pep Guardiola and Coach Arteta, which means that they see them as the standard.
I look forward to seeing who the management of Chelsea will appoint as the next coach.

If it's standard they want to set and keep, they should. When Real Madrid players played match, we see how they do it dedicatedly, they are ready to fight anyone because they are paid well to struggle for the team but I'm not sure for the likes of Chelsea. The end of the season was better but it was late already, using that to judge his future is dangerous, it's better they look for another person that will do better to Pep Guardiola level.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: May 24, 2024, 08:36:06 PM
Guys, for god sake, the only thing in favor of Borussia Dortmund is only one and is..... its only ONE game, and they need to be in his best day and full of good luck and Real Madrid in their worst day ever, to stand a chance.

Asides of that the chances of Borusia Drotmund are sadly very low, i also think they spend most of their luck on the previous phase.

Did you remembered how Barcelona was eliminated in the Quarter when they met with PSG? they were down 1 goal aggregate and in the second leg, they conceded the first goal in the early beginning of the match until they later bagged a red card and PSG came hard for them with 4 goals and end the match with 2 goals difference in aggregate. What does this teach you? That's football and it can happen to any team no matter how good your are in a tournament.

I just think we are having another last season of final between Manchester City and Inter, we knew it was obvious that Manchester City will be ready to win the match which they did but Inter did their best until the last moment, that's what is expected of this match between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund. So far, Dortmund are silent and that can only mean one thing, they are cooking all possibilities to win this match while Real Madrid are busy discussing about Tony Kroos exit from the club.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling bad to the society? on: May 23, 2024, 10:11:42 PM
The story of how it destroys people's lives is very high compared to the positive one.

Addiction is one of the things that makes it really bad. If every gambler is about to manage their gambling habit and set a target for each day and never exceed it, then the negativity won't be so much.

As much as there are losses, there are also wins, which are less than the losses.

Study your ground and gamble within your limit, not how others are going harder on it.

The way you people discuss how gambling destroy people's live, if we are to take data and compute a sample from a population in a society, I don't think it will be nor than 1% and if gambling is really bad, the government would have lock it and stop people from using them but they know the fun of it and because they don't want people to a use it that is why they even have gambling regulations organizations in many countries, they are looking out for any form of abuse by these gambling companies.

As you said, gambling is a voluntary thing, not force and people are winning but the number of winning is higher than the numbers that are losing, but it's what it's, ever person that is gambling know that or they are just ignorant. I believe if gambling has done more harm than good, this forum wouldn't allow it to be here in the first place, it will be ban just like the way mixers were ban some months ago.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: May 23, 2024, 09:51:05 PM
I think that it would be more important for Guardiola to win the Champions League again, but they couldn’t beat Real Madrid this time. Of course, winning the Premier League is no less important, in such a strong championship, becoming a champion again is a very impressive result. At first it took a lot of money to assemble such strong players, but now City spend less money on the transfer market than Arsenal, or even Chelsea, but thanks to the fact that the team was assembled correctly from the beginning, this makes it possible to get results over many seasons.

There are times you lose, there are time you win and there are times you win everything and sometimes you win some and allow the rest to go. He has also broke record this season or winning Premier League 4 times in a row, I think if today he decide to leavw Manchester City, he would be remember as one of the greatest manager Manchester City ever hard, just like the way Klopp left with emption even though he almost won the Premier League but failed along the line.

Anceloti and Guardiola are two managers that I think would be proper if he has been in Laliga, they are good match to be honest but from the look of things, it might be the last Champions League two of them will see by 2025 and it's okay to me. We need new era of Arteta to bring Arsenal with Chelsea and Manchester united, not everytime Champions League has to go to a particular teams and also the Premier League.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Religion. Beliefs or Choices? on: May 23, 2024, 09:36:59 PM
There are some religions that have strict views on gambling, some considering it morally wrong. However, people still gamble for various reasons.

Have you ever faced any conflicts between your religious beliefs versus gambling? How it happen and how did you handle it?
How do different religions view gambling? What could be the reasons behind it?

I think why religion don't like Gambling is for the fact that it takes people attention and when it takes their attention, it doesn't give them to worship God as they want else I don't think there is any way self gambling with money that you can afford to lose is actually a sin before God. I know of a Muslim, they see gambling because it's ab act of greed, you are trying to use small money to win large amount of money and because Quran is a religion by word teaching, I respect that but I do gamble when I have the time and pray when it's time.

The only time I wouldn't support gambling is perhaps when they call Fajr and you refuse to go and pray or you are consume with gambling to the point thy you are addicted, that's when I see that as something not good. As a true believer of God, pray when it's time and come back to gamble, maybe is because I just stake my game and go back to my routine life, I don't spend much time in gambling, if you are not close to me, you would hardly see me gambling.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread -- 2023/24 | SFs on: May 23, 2024, 08:56:55 PM
After the African Cup of Nations where Ademola Lookman put up a classy performance, I never heard much about him anymore. Today he has emerged as the hero of Atalanta and a curse to Bayer Leverkusen. His three goals were so wonderful that Bayer's goalkeeper had no chance to save them. The wonderful season that Bayer had enjoyed before now has been dashed by the Nigerian. Xabi Alonso knows that it is all over and he should focus on winning a second trophy through the German Cup. Congratulations to Atalanta because many people including me predicted that they would never win this game.

The moment Lookman bottle brace against Leverkusen, it was all written over Xavi Alonso face that the guy has destroyed what he single handedly carry from the beginning of the season. The guy made it look easy to make history as first player to score hatrick in history of European final, that was crazy. The goal would have been more but some were over the bar. I think man is definitely going to win the next African best player award considering what he has done this season.

I don't know if I should blame entire Leverkusen or just blame only Xavi Alonso, the way the players were running on that field looks like they weren't even ready, they didn't look serious or too focus, the defense was loose because Lookman penetrate it like it was nothing, man was displaying Mbape of Africa yesterday. Xavi would have made substitute for that defenders atleast to prevent further damage immediately the brace but he didn't and they went lose for the third time.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: May 23, 2024, 08:46:30 PM
Vinicius, Rodrygo, Bellingham, Modric, Kroos, Valverde, Brahim Díaz, Joselu and several other players have scored goals this season in the Champions League. All of these players are dangerous for Dortmund and none of the other players in the main line-up are worth underestimating, of course because they might be the ones who score goals instead of being marked.

Real Madrid are lucky just lucky with hungry football players, I don't know what Perez do whisper to their ears anytime they come to the club but they play like their life depend on it and the PR that comes along with it is extraordinary, this is what I don't see happen in Germany leagues and for that, I'm not sure Dortmund will be delivering the way Real Madrid players are going to but we shouldn't underestimate football though, things like yellow card in box 18 and red card are still part of the unexpected we don't discuss often in this time of prematch.

Quote
Dortmund's game strategy is likely to be defense and counterattack, while Real Madrid's strategy is to attack. Dortmund advanced to the final with this strategy, but they would lose to Real Madrid if they only used defense and counterattacks. I'm sure Real Madrid will be free to exploit Dortmund's defense if they only play in the defensive area, but if both teams attack equally then there will certainly be something interesting to look forward to instead of hoping for Dortmund's luck.

There is two things I'm expecting to see in this match, it's either Real Madrid score first and maintain the defensive for the rest of the game if Dortmund are super active or they continue to score more goals and pressure them until the end but if Dortmund are to scored first, they will not give Real Madrid a single shot on target and I believe that's what any smart coach will do. It was same strategy Real Madrid use against Liverpool in 21/22 season to win their last Champions League.

To be frank as a Chelsea fan I'm so sick and tired of Todd, when things are becoming better and players are being to do better then, he is taking us to like square one again.

Toed Boehly has seen enough and I think his actions are justified, since he bought the club, his first mistake was to let go of Tuchel and then he thought Graham potter was going to perform magic which was another mistake again, they didn't foster only to go and bring Lampard again and end the season without any good place and Pochettino assume the perhaps with the promised to take Chelsea to Champions League next season but failed, I think he has every right to send him away and let's try another person again.

Quote
Though if Chelsea had failed to finished 6th, I would have supported him but after this I would love to see how he fair next season, guess we thought we're now seeing why Todd was patient with him until this absurd sack, I think Todd is just looking for management he can control, who can kiss his a*s

Do you remember the last time this guys went to the Champions League last? That was 21/22 season and hasn't won anything since then even as he assume ownership of the club, they have not won anything in their gallary and they are also not going to the Champions League next season as well but you guys think he is overreacting, I don't think so. Allow him to flush out players that are not doing well and change the coach for improvement, this is not time for emotions.
