1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I almost lost my account. on: May 24, 2024, 11:50:23 PM
What made you use throwaway email for this op? as I only use such for accounts I never cared much or willing to throwaway. If you're worried about exposing your email address, perhaps an email alias service could be of some use to you.

Perhaps you might be interested on password managers like keepass.info? this made things so much more convenient for me as I only need to remember one password to access hundres of my accounts lol. Plus your keepass database is stored locally and is encrypted. Passwords are also better off randomized though computer generated would be better than humans which fortunately, keepass also offers.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Day streaming as gambler experience on: May 24, 2024, 11:06:34 PM
1. Having a presence in as many popular platforms could give you a nice boost as not everyone is active everywhere. Perhaps, you could start posting memes, short vids of your stream or other informational stuffs.

2. Buying ad spaces/making your posts sponsored could enable you to reach wider audience

3. I'm not sure how but in the future, perhaps consider collaborations with other KOLs who may or may not be gambling centrics

All depends how much effort and money you're willing to invest. But for starters, try to see if you can upgrade your internet. I think this can be area-specific as well, for instance the most popular ISP in terms of speed could work poorly in some areas esp if internet in general hasn't had much development in your country. I suggest asking your neighbors what has worked best with them and get a high speed plan.
3  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Has anyone heard of PKEK Crypto Exchange? There's nothing online about it=Weird. on: May 24, 2024, 10:20:14 PM
The puzzling thing is that of my $50k that I have actually "invested" I have withdrawn 95% and have been playing with the profits, why would they let me do that?
Looks like they made a mistake lol. or perhaps they've gotten way too confident that they can fish much bigger numbers from you. In any case, glad you were able to mitigate your losses.

This is day 2 of the money freeze and I wish I could figure out a way to bust them!
I would suggest at least tipping any information like addresses on authorities like FBI as I've been seeing them crack down large rings of this scam.
4  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Freebitco.in login problem on: May 24, 2024, 09:46:33 PM
Unfortunately, freebitco.in concerns have been growing in the forum lately but none of them were addressed by the support as they seem to have disappeared... If you haven't, you can check the recent pages of their ANN thread, see: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=320959.0

I honestly would take a step back on freebitco.in until the coast is clear.
5  Economy / Gambling / Re: [VIP Transfer AVAILABLE] MetaWin.com | The First WEB3 Casino on: May 23, 2024, 03:24:33 PM
Anyone here knows about the $MWIN points? I got 5000 $MWIN points because I have one referral but I have no idea about this points.
Whether it is an internal token that will be able to be used to play or it will be something convertible to other coins later?

AFAIK. Not much has been revealed aside from the fact that it'll be used as an ecosystem token on metawin + the planned L3 casino (if that pushes through) so it's safe to assume we'll be able to use it to play and trade it on exchanges. The points will be used for the $MWIN airdrop.

BTW, according from Skel, VIP transfers will open again on Monday and has cleared up sum budget speculation.

But yeah, they had many hit and runs so expect it to be stricter. Skel did promise a gift for those who wouldn't make it though.
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: EXCHANGE BTC FOR CASH BY MAIL on: May 22, 2024, 11:57:02 PM
If I'm not wrong Peach Btc and Robosats do not offer cash by mail as payment option.
Thank you for the forum section suggestion though

Last I checked, robosats lets people input whichever payment method they wanna use so cash by mail option is technically possible.
7  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is the exclusive stake.com bonus promoted on some sites legit? on: May 22, 2024, 10:33:29 PM
The only thing published from the conditions is that the rollover is 40x deposit + bonus and the maximum bet cannot exceed 1% of the deposit. Other conditions are not specified. I don't have a problem with the rollover and 40x because I plan to play a lot anyway, but I wouldn't like a surprise to happen to me, such as not counting my rollover for the monthly and weekly bonus as well as for VIP statuses.

Sounds like you've already activated the offer on stake.com? or nah? since IIRC a quick deets does show up upon activation. Well, that's how you know it's legit unless you're on sum phishing website.

But as others have pointed out, not every platform will be true to its words so only stick to reputable ones. I personally prefer typing out codes rather than clicking links on my main browser.

As for the other concern, I suggest writing to stake's support.
8  Other / Meta / Re: Is this a bugs on: May 22, 2024, 09:06:40 PM
In addition, the user DM and the link he/she provided for the task work on my mobile phone but are not shown on some browsers on my computer.

Ohhh perhaps the problem could be on your PC or PC browser 🤔

Did you also use the browsers which did not work on your PC? I would also suggest checking your anti-virus [on your PC], perhaps it was falsely flagging some stuff -- some AVs offer protection on browsers afaik. I agree with Jerome too on extensions, they could also break some stuff so try to toogle them and do sum trial and error.
9  Economy / Gambling / Re: [VIP Transfer AVAILABLE] MetaWin.com | The First WEB3 Casino on: May 22, 2024, 08:21:47 PM
They also have a big backlog for the vip transfer as they did not expect that many entries

From their discord server:

Provided that the checks are manual plus they have to watch out for abuse as well, it's not surprising that it may take some time for them to caught up.

BTW, they announced the first CEX for rocky and I completely got it wrong hahaha -- it's gonna be bingX
10  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: List Of The Longest Forum Signature Campaign Above 100wk That Left/Still Active on: May 21, 2024, 11:44:58 PM
NOTE: Due to the ban of mixers, mixer signature campaigns are excluded from this list except ChipMixer
Mentioning this here still give you the chances of promoting them, in my opinion I would advise you to exclude this post here and make it to be entirely other projects than mentioning anything mixers.
Note: theymos has warned against anyone mentioning it or directly/indirectly sharing link that leads to it could lead to ban.

Was this a fairly recent development? when did he say mentioning could lead to a ban?

because last I heard, discussions are still allowed and meant we can still mention their names provided that there's no link. theymos was a bit lenient on seized mixers at that time as well since they weren't wordfiltered IIRC likely because they're defunct thus can't be used anymore.
11  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Introducing the Bitcoin Scoring Tool: Seeking Your Valuable Feedback! on: May 21, 2024, 10:52:01 PM
RE: unknown medium risk

IMO, I find it too much... is this becoming a standard in CExes?

For instance, unless necessary, many of us try to use a fresh address whenever possible. Not to mention, most wallets work in a way where once an address has been used, the 'receive' function will then automatically switch to a fresh address. Won't a lot of these addresses hit the unknown category hence creating more friction with users.

In any case, I'm interested in reading the documentation. Could it be other aspects of your findings are gonna be addressed as well?
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: EXCHANGE BTC FOR CASH BY MAIL on: May 21, 2024, 10:07:40 PM
If you're up for a no-mandatory kyc exchange, try to also check on localcoinswap.com -- not to be confused with flat out no-kyc exchanges as no mandatory also means they can ask for your deets anytime.

Afaik, hodlhodl is also on a no-mandatory kyc policy, no? I did remember they were using non custodial wallet though settling trades solely with your counterparty and without hodlhodl can get too technical for an average person.
13  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is KUCOIN in trouble? on: May 21, 2024, 08:55:40 PM
You mind telling us which country for discussion's sake?

Presently, they have a case in the US. Maybe it'll end by kucoin paying monies to them and/or they may add further charges and/or other countries may also ride on this thus prolonging the whole ordeal, who knows.

But the overarching theme is any CEx is susceptible to regulatory pressure and crypto drama could escalate fast lol hence never treat them as your personal wallet e.g. letting huge amounts sit for a long time.
14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy Crypto Myanmar on: May 16, 2024, 11:59:14 PM
Be ready for a plan B... it doesn't seem like there is a local exchange in Myanmar. Quick look at popular providers returns nothing...

If it's any consolation, fees on buying through credit card ain't friendly anyhow.
15  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Join Our Fight Against Crypto Scams - Contribute to CryptoLinks.com! on: May 16, 2024, 11:10:22 PM
I also suggest making it possible to search by domain name. In some cases, scam websites have a decent brand name but a strange looking domain name. Further, brand names could also overlap or be similiar with others.

Further, there can also be good reasons for hiding your team. For instance, if they're working on a privacy leaning project as there has been a crackdowns on these. Personally don't think it's a clear indication of scam unless there are other signs that points otherwise.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Casino Community Service Possible? on: May 16, 2024, 09:29:55 PM
I also know stake.com has donated big amounts to Ukraine and LeBron James' foundation.

Yeah, there's no denying that stuff like this also serves as a promotion for their casino but at the end of the day, the gesture has helped people in need. If I was in a dire situation, I probably wouldn't care if people are cashing in on my tragedy lol -- desperate times call for desperate measures lol. Further, one could also say with the amount of money at stake, it possible they could produce better results in other promotional areas.
17  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New Transaction Accelerator! on: May 16, 2024, 06:49:43 PM
Deets about the mentioned free accelerations? I'm confused about your answer to z-tight's question in regards to this 😅

Like any prerequisites? how long will you be taking requests? asking for future use because fees are cheap at the moment so no immediate need for a txn accelerator.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your slices Luck that would have made you millionaire in gambling? on: May 15, 2024, 11:52:58 PM
I don't bet high risk amounts for my own good hence I don't expect to be a millionaire lol plus gambling is just a side hobby to me. I'm not that into lotteries/jackpots as well though the odds are typically low on big prizes so I probably won't expect I win too if ever lol.

It's true some can be rich AF through gambling but dont forget many people have also lost money. Don't take risks more than you can afford to. I would say it's a bad idea to rely on gambling as a way to turn your life around because it's too luck based.
19  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are your expectations for Casino coins in this coming bull run? on: May 15, 2024, 11:07:24 PM
I have not seen any casinos that have done bounty or airdrops as a means to promote their native token, but several projects carry out bounty and airdrops to promote their coin.

Not that I follow airdrops religiously so I'm not sure how common they are but on top off my head: rollbit, betfury (from op's post), hugewin, shuffle had airdrops for their token. Metawin's airdrop is also ongoing. It may not be as rare as you think.

I don't think that the casino owners expect investors to even handle casino coins as a means of investment. They designed those coins to mostly be used in their casino. Just a guess tho.

It's likely they do because it's a speculative asset at the end of the day. And introducing utilities inside their casino is a part the whole tokenomics made to support the coin as well as it's price.
20  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I have built a whale tracker on: May 15, 2024, 09:56:49 PM
1. How do you know if the supposed whale is just moving funds to another address? and if it's a private sale, it won't affect price on the public market -- CEx.
2. If we're talking about trades that happens on CEX, how are you getting this information? afaik this data should be private as trades on CEX are off chain.

Keep in mind the forum generally does not allow referral links on posts. We typically place it in our signatures.
