101  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: May 01, 2024, 10:39:17 AM
I know this is somewhat off-topic because it seems you were referring to the forum software not being upgraded but can you elaborate if it was a reply in response to someone stating theymos did not want to get himself in trouble?

Many of us are completely clueless about why the forum has ever been upgraded or the why the new one was never launched but when it comes to the mixer ban, many have the view theymos banned mixers to protect himself and the forum name from possible future scrutiny by various legal authorities.

I am sorry but that is what they want you to think.  Along with they make knuckle and finger errors when they do an image.
102  Other / Off-topic / Re: Binance in a bit to tarnish Ronaldo's image on: April 30, 2024, 02:37:01 PM
What are the chances the group action against Cristiano Ronaldo will be successful? Even if the case had merit and Cristiano Ronaldo was found to be liable to pay money, there would be an appeal and that could result in favour for the footballer.

This will go on for a long time before a Court decision will be made but either way it will open the doors for other investors to take celebrities to Court and try to get money from them if they advertised/promoted business they lost funds in.
103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: April 30, 2024, 10:29:48 AM
For Liverpool, the worst part about their result at West Ham United in the 2-2 draw was of course to lose two points but we cannot avoid notice the disharmony between Klopp and Salah. There was no need for them to argue on the touchline in full view of the watching spectators and cameras but the fault (in my view) is solely with Salah.

In the end, Klopp is the manager and the players have to accept his decisions. It seems as though Salah overplayed his part because he knows Klopp is leaving at the end of the season and also because he himself will try to leave Liverpool for the Saudi Pro League in a deal that will pay him millions of USD$ per month.

About their title hopes, as stated before mathematically there is a chance they can win the Premier League therefore they cannot be counted out.

Do they still show it like Liverpool are in the title race?  Smiley  They literally need a miracle as of now to take back the lead so it is a very low probability I'm afraid. Klopp somehow couldn't motivate his players for the championship on the recent weeks and they are paying for it now. It is an unpleasant way to say goodbye for him.

But I'm not saying it like he is bad. He has had really good times with Liverpool over the years. A CL title, a PL title and many more cups added to his achievements.

Arne Slot will surely have a big task to perform after Klopp.  Tongue

Do you remember the old saying that was always presented when victims asked why scams were not banned from the forum? How many times did we read (and probably repeat ourselves) the same words: scams in the forum are not moderated

Looking at the subject of scams vs mixers and how they are portrayed in the forum, how do the two equate and what sort of message is being sent out? If mixers are banned then maybe scams should also be actively removed from the forum too.

Kind of weird how mixers are banned, but scam is allowed here  Tongue

105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Samurai Wallet co-founder pleaded not guilty, released on $1m bond on: April 30, 2024, 08:56:07 AM
The US government has been clamping down on crypto related businesses for a long time and this is Court case seems to be yet another signal to people involved in the crypto sphere that they can be targeted.

In this particular case, I was not aware of a case against Samurai Wallet founders but it could be designed to informing creators, owners, coders and contributors to mixing facilitators that they will eventually be targeted.

As for the bail conditions, they will be difficult to adhere to but given a choice between jail or bail the decision is an easy one.

What precedent does this bail condition set for the future of cryptocurrency and Bitcoin projects founded from the USA?
106  Other / Off-topic / Re: Binance in a bit to tarnish Ronaldo's image on: April 30, 2024, 08:42:43 AM
What is happening to Cristiano Ronaldo is nothing new. Do you remember the news about lawsuits being brought against US celebrities that were promoting FTX? They were paid millions of USD$ for promoting FTX but after the collapse of the exchange those celebrities were facing lawsuits. What Cristiano Ronaldo did was not dissimilar except he was involved in his own NFT.

If a group of disgruntled investors get together and want to take Cristiano Ronaldo to Court to sue for $1 billion, that is their decision. In the end a judge will decide if the case can proceed. He can afford to pay the best lawyers in the world, he probably is not even worried at this stage.
107  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk features I've wondered about on: April 30, 2024, 07:56:05 AM
This "ineedhelpplease" account started off as a newbie alt-account complaining about Rollbit and then morphed in to a nuisance account. It is not that rare or strange to see an attention-seeker seeking attention by creating threads by proclaiming ignorance even though have been around this forum for far longer than they let on using other accounts, I do occasionally wonder about their long term intentions.
108  Economy / Reputation / Re: To JollyGood and Icopress, on: April 30, 2024, 07:29:56 AM
Ah well, the only comments that manage to come to mind immediately with a degree of satisfaction are: part good riddance and part hopefully it is the last we have seen of another nonsensical account that was created for no real purpose other than to be a nuisance.

Whatever nefarious intentions this ineedhelpplease account was created with, thankfully they have been thwarted. This account will float around for a while and will maybe even post intermittently from time to time when least expected in order to remain a nuisance but that is to be expected. He will remain on my ignore list.

Small update

Will not be on until May 9th due to this notification
109  Economy / Reputation / Re: BitcoinGirl.Club: How a condescending attitude equates to trust exclusion on: April 30, 2024, 07:04:08 AM
Well, unfortunately your advice fell on deaf ears and it did not even warrant a response by the OP. That degree of arrogance is precisely what members see on a regular basis and it alienates them. Sometimes you honestly wonder why bother posting with care and consideration with advice when those that you reach out to simply ignore you.

@BitcoinGirl.Club you cannot prove that icopress sent a mass pm to participants and asked them to ~ you, so trying to argue that would be pointless really. I cannot say he did or didn't, have always had pretty fair dealings with icopress.

Everyone has shocked me that is involved by the fact that not one has given a negative, so at least the trust system isn't being abused. As you know, anyone can distrust you for any reason. It's not illegal. Some of your thoughts on the whole situation may or may not be correct, but without concrete proof, you're kinda pissin up a rope. You're free to continue this and see who's mind you can change, but at the moment it would seem you are wasting your breathe. I would consider locking it and revisiting if you come across proof of your feelings.
110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: April 29, 2024, 08:21:31 PM
These are the results from the games played yesterday Sunday 28th April:

Bournemouth 3-0 Brighton and Hove Albion
Tottenham Hotspur 2-3 Arsenal
Nottingham Forest 0-2 Manchester City

Tottenham fought back from 0-3 down to end the game 2-3 but it was Arsenal that took all three points. Also, Manchester City won their game which effectively means Liverpool are out of the race even though mathematically they are still involved.

This is how the top three will have to play their remaining games:

111  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FixedFloat.com stole my funds on: April 29, 2024, 11:28:07 AM

As always, it is very sad to read about anybody that has lost money when they did not do anything wrong but ended up getting scammed.

Clearly FixedFloat are having serious issues (and not only that, they have been having issues for quite dome time) and maybe this is now the final nail in the FixedFloat coffin.

I think they will not be able to recover from the fallout of the alleged multiple hacks and they will have to consider whether they can continue as a viable business when they will probably never be able to win back trust.
112  Other / Meta / Re: *Ended* Post history review offer on: April 29, 2024, 10:50:57 AM
From what I remember, you had good will but far too many of those that benefitted from your efforts did not deserve it as they had nefarious intentions. Alt-accounts and account farmers were pouncing on any member that was offering to merit their posts and not only that, any opportunity they had to make a list of their posts trying to rank up in any thread facilitating ranking up or merits.

I am glad you have removed yourself this situation because far too many accounts took advantage of your good will.

I'm going to take a look at the requests that are still in my PM box, and if any of those members have written decent posts they'll get merits.  Aside from that, I am done.
113  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Sportsbet.io - A Case of Selective Withdrawal Approval and Dubious Practices on: April 28, 2024, 07:03:45 PM
Before reading your post I was about to ask the OP to at least provide some element of evidence to support his allegation because it really does sound ludicrous to believe that Sportsbet would selective scam their customers especially for a miniscule amount as a $2400 win.

After reading your post I am glad the OP has entered in to a chat with Steve and I hope there is a resolution in sight soon but it does not negate the fact that the onus is on the one making the allegation to at the very least present some evidence if they are making an allegation.

Personally, I would not be surprised if there is far more to this story than was elaborated on in the OP but time will tell whether the OP falls in the category of hiding things in his allegation or not.

it’s clear that Sportsbet.io routinely rejects withdrawal requests under dubious circumstances—commonly when users have won significant amounts.

Hello,

Sportsbet routinely processes hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of withdrawals; so don't believe the FUD you read online from disgruntled customers and our competition.
I can assure you Sportsbet isn't "scamming" you for 2400 USDT; so there's either a simple fix or you're being dishonest.
If you would kindly shoot me a PM with your SB user name, so I can pass your info along to the necessary department.

Thank you

Edit: I've just learned you're already in contact with Steve 👍
114  Economy / Reputation / Re: Resurrection of old accounts on: April 28, 2024, 06:51:47 PM
Vod, the levels that some persistent scammers will go to in order to achieve their goals makes the mind boggle. In many cases they will try to contact some members that have left feedback, I know this because I have been contacted in the past by several accounts (mostly with a sob story) asking for the trust/feedback to be revised.

There is also a possibility that the account has traded hands and the new buyer is the one that is trying to have the feedback removed in the hope it could be enrolled on a signature campaign one day.

Scammers probably have a calendar to track such things on their many alts.   Wink
115  Economy / Reputation / Re: Standing Strong Against Unjust Attacks: A Call for Community Support on: April 28, 2024, 06:41:03 PM
Here I am returning to this thread after some time out and surprise surprise, nothing has changed. I cannot read the posts made by JackpotRacer because he is on my ignore lists (as are BitcoinGirl.Club and the komisariatku and PytagoraZ accunt farmers).

It seems as though the blackjack.fun forum representative is going to have to overcome several trolls if they are going to have any chance of getting their messages across.
116  Economy / Reputation / Re: BitcoinGirl.Club: How a condescending attitude equates to trust exclusion on: April 28, 2024, 06:30:50 PM
[...]
You'd better worry about why you've turned into a vengeful troll who lies at every turn.
His was a lost cause a long time ago. Do not waste your time engaging with him (and especially not by advising him).

This is the 44th post in this thread but an interesting statistic is that 9 posts in this thread (equates to over 20%) were made by the komisariatku/PytagoraZ account farming puppeteer. Those are very interesting statistics.

I see some similarities between the komisariatku/PytagoraZ account farming troll and another account that ended up getting multiple tags therefore ended by giving up on that account. I hope the sooner the other accounts operated by the komisariatku/PytagoraZ account farming troll are accidentally revealed by him and receive tags as a response, the better.
117  Other / Meta / Re: Post per day/ per month falling. on: April 28, 2024, 01:27:48 PM
I agree there could be a barometer to add that could provide more statistical data but the term "high quality posts" is highly contentious because the meaning or understanding changes according to the person reading the post. For example, what you might deem to be a high/good quality post could be assessed by others as being low quality or spam.

The number of characters in a post (200 or otherwise) cannot and do no denote the level of quality associated with it.

Posts per day and Posts per month is a fairly simple metric to observe or attempt to correlate with the progress and success of the forum.

The best assessment of the forum, is the number of high quality posts made per day and per month. This could be measured based on statistics such as "posts per day with minimum 200 characters", or "posts per day that received merit" or "new user registrations" even. I think digging deeper into the analysis with more specific metrics will provide the outcome you are seeking..
118  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: April 28, 2024, 01:22:45 PM
Congratulations to you for conducting raffles from different projects. The Games and rounds board is congested and to a degree highly saturated. By design it is a competitive board that has various members jostling to promote their chosen projects therefore this type of endeavour will be welcomed by many members that use BC Games (and by those that are new it).

A small bump for the 2nd BC.Game free raffle for a bonus code of $50  Cool

We have still available slots, everyone is welcome to join us to try to win the $50 Smiley

119  Other / Meta / Re: Hey Theymos, There Should Be a Demotion Button on: April 28, 2024, 01:15:31 PM
Anything the OP seems to be spouting is nothing short of attention-seeking and that message cannot be stressed enough therefore to take anything he stated is basically not to be taken seriously. One glance at his trust and feedback will indicate the mentality behind what the OP does.

The OP knew before creating this thread that theymos would not give any attention to it yet it did not stop him from bringing more attention on to himself.

He has not logged in for several days, let us hope this is the last we have seen of the OP.
120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: April 28, 2024, 12:04:36 PM
These are the game taking place today Sunday 28th April:

Bournemouth vs Brighton and Hove Albion
Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal
Nottingham Forest vs Manchester City

These are the results of games played yesterday:

West Ham United 2-2 Liverpool
Fulham 1-1 Crystal Palace
Manchester United 1-1 Burnley
Newcastle United 5-1 Sheffield United
Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 Luton Town
Everton 1-0 Brentford
Aston Villa 2-2 Chelsea

It seems as though Liverpool are out of the title race even though mathematically it is still possible but very much dependent on how results at Manchester City and Arsenal play out.

I understand that it would be very tough for Arsenal to come out of both fixtures with full 6 points but I have a gut feeling that they would be able to pull it off.
The first step for them is at Tottenham today, I think Arsenal will lose the game because Tottenham will try their best to stop their North London rivals winning the title.
