101  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: August 18, 2023, 10:54:51 PM
Keeping something a secret to yourself means you're actually mature enough to not let people know about what you're doing, that's also called privacy. Gambling habit makes you win big or lose big. If you win big, it's better to keep it a secret so not to put yourself in a situation where someone may harm you for your money or people may start gathering near you to ask for money like beggars. If you lose big, well then I don't think you've got a reason to let anyone know that you gambled because then, they'll not stop you but make fun of you (backbitching about you if not in front). So in both cases, it's better to always keep it a secret and never discuss the same with anyone because doing it anonymously helps you stay safe from the eyes of this world.
102  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will you sell...next bull run? on: August 18, 2023, 10:34:14 PM
I have a strategy that's similar to DCA but is far better than it:

I'd buy BTC at $40k (let's say current price of BTC is $40k only) My target selling zone would be around $50k or so

Now, if the price dips down to $30k, I'd buy 1.5x previously bought BTC there and my target selling zone would be around $60k

Later, if it keeps dipping and hits $15-20k, I'd buy 3x previously bought BTC at these levels and my target selling zone would be around $70k-$100k

We all know BTC for its parabolic bull runs and we know how long the gaps are in terms of seeing BTC at such mentioned levels (when bearish), so we can definitely have a capital or even gain more and keep it ready for the assigned task to ourself and do it as said. And when we see the parabolic runs, we'll then sell it for as much higher as possible.
103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling by financial dependents. on: August 18, 2023, 09:50:00 PM
Well, he's of legal age if we talk about your country, so I don't think he's doing anything wrong (if and only if, he's not stealing anything and that, your family member is telling you the complete truth and there isn't any violence involved here - because when it comes to money, a person can do anything).

Now, even if he's doing it for fun and is of legal age, just try to make him understand that this isn't a source of income and so, he shouldn't take it so seriously as it might get tough for him to leave it as and when he wants if he starts seeing it as a way to earn money, which gambling isn't. I'd advice you to go with him and watch his gambling activities personally like a guardian because in such cases, parental guidance is necessary and if his mother is okay with him, you should still catch up with him and monitor him whenever he gambles.
104  Economy / Speculation / Re: take advantage of opportunities on: August 18, 2023, 09:09:17 PM
This is undoubtedly an opportunity for us to focus on, however, going all in is not a good idea. You should buy in parts as this is currently being driven by dollar strength and there's more to come if I'm not wrong, so deciding some support levels by looking at the charts will definitely help you to do it like the DCA guys do, so that the opportunity remains intact as you'll still have funds to purchase more when it gets more bloody red. 😈
105  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is copy trading a viable option for newcomers? on: August 18, 2023, 09:00:43 PM
I remember an influencer who recommended a good trader for copy trading and was using Bitget or Bybit and even the trader was doing great during those days. He made around 500% in a month only and was becoming popular, so lots of people started copying his trades. His strategy was aggressive and due to that, whenever he saw a loss incoming, he didn't close it but open a new position in the same direction. Due to this, he made everyone lose almost everything as all his trades got liquidated and he went from +500% to -100% in just a week later.

Copy trading is riskier than you think, and I believe that why trade on others' knowledge when you can also do that? At least you won't regret that you would have traded yourself, but you copied someone else and you suffered from their trading decisions.
106  Economy / Economics / Re: Were Banks and Governments behind this Dump? on: August 18, 2023, 07:20:43 PM
--snip--
High interest rates mean less supply of dollar in the market means dollar will gain value over other currencies but believe me we can compare USD with other foreign currencies but not with BTC. Because BTC is way ahead of US dollar in many aspects of life. But that's not what we are discussing here we are discussing that people now found usd a better place of investment instead of BTC that's why they are not investing in BTC and BTC demand decreased like other foreign countries demand decreased.

--snip--

Again, I understood your point but when the demand for dollar increases worldwide and all the major currencies suffer as dollar becomes stronger, then that will also make the crypto markets go red and we'll see blood on the streets everywhere. Even if BTC used to see good amount of volatility before, that was all because it was being controlled by retail investors, but now institutional investors are involved who go according to the strength of dollar and I've been keenly observing this since they entered crypto, and even you can.

I don't think governments are only focused on BTC and/or crypto as they've got much big economic affairs to look into, however, when you're asking that who will profit from this dump?

Let me tell you, this (and even if BTC crashes down more) is a chance for every single trader out there that wanted a discount. So, it's a win-win not just for the governments but for all the traders as well. Wink
See the positive side too, buddy!

And yes, US30 really helps a lot, but don't you trade it ever because it's a highly volatile thing.
107  Economy / Economics / Re: Were Banks and Governments behind this Dump? on: August 18, 2023, 06:51:24 PM
The interest rate increase was surely going to make the dollar stronger which would impact various industries such as crypto and even forex. Did you watch what's been happening in forex since yesterday and today also? US30 had been on a constant decline with other major foreign currency pairs against USD following the same pattern, tell me how would crypto survive that?
I do believe too that interest rate is the key player in this recent dump,  raising the rate simply means making the dollar stronger, and obviously, any currency or asset that is trading against the USD will suffer the pain, Elon Musk on his side might have seen reason to sell and selling such huge amount of Bitcoin at the time will definitely cause more pain and dump the price.

TBH, I don't give a shit to what Elon Musk has/would have done even if he's got any role in this because in the end, we all are traders and we have the right to liquidate our funds whenever we need them, and if he did the same, then what's wrong with that? It's his money that he invested, who are we to ^blame^ him for this selloff? That's my pov and I'm not angry, but I feel pity for Elon Musk. In the end, he's a great guy who did too much for the society once he tasted success, and is still doing his best in other areas if we weed out crypto while talking about him. Smiley

111  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin ever be 20k again? Why or Why not? on: August 11, 2023, 09:52:12 PM
A huge chance is there for BTC to get there again before making any new highs because there's not enough strength seen in BTC against USD and dollar index will also get one more retracement above 110 before it settles down back under 98 and less, so there's currently a possibility for us to see BTC under 20k (and even this year's low of ~$16500).
112  Economy / Economics / Re: PayPal becomes first major fintech to launch dollar-backed stablecoin on: August 11, 2023, 09:04:45 PM
This is undoubtedly a great move as, according to my knowledge, this may now allow/prevent PayPal's users from becoming a victim of hefty fees that they used to pay to PayPal for each of their transactions and will also bring in more exposure to crypto as PayPal is a huge name whenever we talk about e-currency platforms (most of others were either closed or seized). I also hope that PayPal will not levy their 21 days holding policy on this stablecoin.
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin is centralized, will it still have value ? on: August 11, 2023, 07:31:12 PM
Who says BTC isn't centralized yet?
It's now a mixed version of BTC we are seeing here, that if some custodial exchanges holding a very huge % of the total mined coins doesn't mean centralization, then I don't know what should I call it. However, I believe that BTC has come way above these things and people here are just to make money from it and they've nothing to do with BTC's nature whether it's centralized or decentralized. So its value is not at all being affected by it IMHO.
114  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: BUYING PI COINS AT 12$ EACH IN EXCHANGE FOR PAYPAL OR USDT on: August 09, 2023, 11:46:46 AM
Anyone here smart enough would simply read the warning by DireWolfM14 in the trust rating he gave to this user.
However, in July, its price was not more than $0.3 a coin so this is pure scam, don't fall for such offers and practice enough caution before getting into such trades. Smiley

Maybe me too, I didn't know that accounts can be buggy and unable to participate in signature campaigns when getting negative tags. I thought at first it would not be a serious problem.

Oya, you signed up for a very long time. May I ask, have signature campaigns that pay with bitcoin been around since 2015?

Lol they've been here since long time
I'd say that Bitcoin paying signature campaigns were a thing since 2013, and at times, we used to earn about half a Bitcoin every single week. IIRC, the best paying ones were Primedice, Coinsbank, Coinroll (flexible at that time), and the longest ever signature campaign that ran here was Chipmixer.

Remember that even if you don't have a negative tag but a neutral tag for being a spammer, you won't be able to participate in signature campaigns that pay considerable crypto like Bitcoin or stablecoins like BUSD/USDT/etc.

However, I don't see such strictness in bounties here.

120  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BC.GAME Laundering Money via Thailand Bank accounts, Taking legal actions. on: August 04, 2023, 07:51:58 PM
Well, from what I (and even ScamViruS) found, if it's not legal to gamble there in Thailand, why were you even gambling at the first place? I don't think any legal authorities will take your case just because:
Let's say you or your clients won something at least once, and let's assume that the collective (total) amount is too big and you even managed to withdraw it from various other gambling sites if not this, did you pay the specified tax on it by showing to your government that you gathered that money through gambling winnings? I don't think so, and so, expecting help from legal entities would be a stupid idea IMHO.
