101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Gang uses crypto for illegal purposes on: November 18, 2020, 08:54:16 AM
I didn't even know there are gambling gangs. However, people have always misused everything that has value and brings them money, so cryptocurrencies are not exception.
It's not to cryptocurrencies and not to gambling industry that are being used for illegal purposes, it's not their fault.
I think that the line should be drawn and people should be aware that just because it can be misused Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are not criminal by itself.
102  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I trust cryptocurrencies? on: November 17, 2020, 10:05:20 PM
It's quite natural that people who don't have such experience have doubt in crypto.
Today the situation is much more clear and cryptocurrencies are much more developed and have better infrastructure than it was case about 10 years ago when early adopters started. However, it seems that for some today is even harder to get involved with crypto.
No one can't give you any guarantees but you can get some information and make decisjy to try advantages and disadvantages of crypto on your own. That is the best way to find out if crypto is for you or not.
103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers lose more money than win. on: November 17, 2020, 05:25:57 PM
Gambling industry is very lucrative business just because gamblers loose more than they win, it's not a secret. I guess that is also kind of rule in the theory of probability.
Anway, even losing doesn't need to be a problem as long as every gambler knows own limits and how much he can afford to lose without creating a problem. But everyone who thinks that can beat casinos and gambles more and more money trying to prove that has a serious problem.
104  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible to live without banks? on: November 17, 2020, 03:05:45 PM
The purpose of which digital currency has risen is to make a bank without a banking hall, cryptocurrency give you the ability to be the banker of yourself, and monitor your account anywhere extra advantage is you can hold as much as possible in you account anywhere you are with any one suspect how it came, this is a timely solution in a country like Nigeria where they feel one you are rich and especially young, you are a criminal.

That is true if you look only from the very narrow perspective. But if you look broader picture especially from the point of business you can't depend only on Bitcoin and how much funds you can hold it's not only thing that matters.
We are still depending on fiat currencies and services that banks provide. Without legal regulations and formal introduction into financial and economy system we can't rely only on Bitcoin as a society in whole and due to many limitations of Bitcoin we will need to combine fiat and cryptocurrency for a long time.
105  Economy / Economics / Re: Is COVID-19 an excuse for governments & central banks to print money? on: November 16, 2020, 08:44:55 AM
I don't think there is an excuse for printing money, not even due to COVID crisis. Printing money never save any economy, just brought even bigger problems on a long term basis.
The advantage for EU countries is that they available special recovery and resilience funds that they can use under certain conditions and thus help their people and economies. I think that will be a great deal of help.
106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting strategy advice on: November 15, 2020, 09:17:14 PM
It's funny how people think that different strategies or rules might help them winning. I don't believe in that, even not in sports betting. Although this is not only a luck based bet surprise are always possible as well as decline from almost certain situation and the most reliable teams and players might have a bad day and match might end completely different from all expectations.
107  Economy / Speculation / Re: sold mine at 14100 dammitttt on: November 15, 2020, 08:10:37 PM
Patience is one of the most important characteristics that you need to have if you are dealing with Bitcoin. That is not always easy and temptation is always big, especially when the price is rising and it's hard to predict how this is going to end.
Setting your personal goals and limits. However, it's still not to late to buy again.
108  Economy / Economics / Re: World's Second-Biggest Bank to Issue $3B in Bonds Tradable for Bitcoin on: November 15, 2020, 05:02:36 PM
What's next when a Chinese has traded his bitcoin for that bond? He just lost his bitcoins.

Assuming that this news is real and we can have a sense of bullishness if it's a bank that's owned by the state. But, you don't just get on it without understanding it. Yeah, we may hear it as good news because it's a bank.

But that's inevitable use and part of bitcoin.

I see that from a different point of view. I'm not concerned if this involved China, bank or some government but that we still look at it as a breaking news and in reality it does not have any significance. Use of Bitcoin by serious banks or companies is still on the level of experiment, not necessary of a successful one.
109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any truly safe bets in sports betting? on: November 15, 2020, 01:25:20 PM
Yes, there is a very safe bet. Don't bet anything so you can't lose. 100% successful. That is the best bet.

I wouldn't call this safe bet but risk controlled bet. So, there is still a possibility to lose but you don't cross the line of your limits of your acceptable loss so you actually don't suffer consequences.
The safe bet would be if there were no possibility to lose but the winning would be guaranteed. We all know that doesn't exist, except if the natch isn't fixed in advance.
110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling could be used to pay for covid problems on: November 15, 2020, 10:00:08 AM
snip..
I personally have no problem with paying gambling taxes, especially in this "PANDEMIC" period all countries really need money to improve their country's economy.  The positive thing that I see from taxpayers regarding gambling is that gambling sites we are playing are more monitored and player funds are guaranteed safe because it is certain that user funds are protected by the government..
If the government can really get the taxes, that will help the country's economy. But if that is related to the online casino, I think that will not easy as we know that the casino can host their site in other countries that don't apply the taxes to their business. It needs more work to find the online casino and makes them follow the regulations from the government. If that regulation is for the casino in their country, it could apply to the casino because it can control the place from abusing the law. It will protect not just the casino, but the user can get protection from the government.

That nakes sense but on the other hand to help the economy of exactly your country you should play in casino that is registered in your country, when it comes to online casinos. There are countries which don't have registered casinos in their web domain and I don't know if that could persuade the gamblers to chose just the casinos from their own country if they have different habbits.
To conclude as an idea it might sound good but I'm sure if really can be executed in reality.
111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if China wants to takeover bitcoin? (Assuming controllable majority of hash on: November 15, 2020, 08:33:47 AM
I"m not sure that I understand what you mean by"takeover" Bitcoin and how that could be possible. By government, by miners?
I don't think that any of such scenarios is even possible and I don't know why so many are focused on China like enemy number one of Bitcoin or some country that wants to be Bitcoin superpower. I don't think that any of these hypothesis are true.
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Role of Bitcoin in Developing counties to accelerate Growth process on: November 14, 2020, 08:15:20 PM
I don't think that Bitcoin or any other crypto can help economy of any country if it's not officially introduced into economy and financial system and regulated. As far as I know no county has done that.
However, Bitcoin can help fight poverty on an individual level and every person, no matter if lives in developed or underdeveloped county, can with help of Bitcoin improve personal finances or even find some crypto related job.
113  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos Withdrawal Fees Rise (!?)|| November 2020 on: November 14, 2020, 07:03:14 PM
High casino fees are for our own good if you understand it wisely. They use the fees to send our transaction with much higher fee to get it confirmed and have our coins in our hands quick. On the other hand, if some casinos allow us free withdrawals, that should be counted as their generosity. I play at betnomi as they allow me to withdraw in any crypto and I save fees that way because there are some altcoins available with cheaper fee and I withdraw them to save myself some bucks.

This is one point of view and it makes sense, fees that are high enough are guarantee for quicker transactions.
But I don't think this is the only reason, it's also the way that casinos protect themselves through some kind of commission for their services. I also think that is connected with Bitcoin price and network fees. Anyway, it's the cost we need to pay when gambling.
114  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let's discuss: How big will the next correction be? And when will it occur? on: November 14, 2020, 04:59:52 PM
Small corrections happen all the time and that is part of Bitcoin volatility.
At the moment I don't expect some bigger sudden correction but  more smaller ones so the Bitcoin price will probably stay in current range somewhere between 15k and 16k.
Even if it goes all the way to 17 k I don't think it will stay there for longer period of time, it will probably returm to current values.
115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: THE MOST PAINFUL DAY IN MY BETTING CAREER on: November 14, 2020, 12:38:17 PM
Lots of people whose lives experience difficulties due to playing gambling, therefore don't make gambling a source of income.
My advice to play gambling is just for fun, so if you experience a loss until your capital runs out when playing gambling, doesn't
stress us out. Because people who become gambling as a pleasure usually have a special budget for playing gambling. So if the
budget runs out we have to stop playing gambling, do that I am sure playing gambling will not make you experience problems.
And it is natural that we often experience losses in gambling compared to making profits from gambling. Indeed the casino owner
regulates that we often lose, for the benefit of the casino owner.
I agree with you mate. I don't recommend gambling as a full time job because it is not most especially if you are already an addict. You will play and play harder until you recover your loses but instead of recovering all of your loses, you will be more at risk to lose all of your saving and etc. So if you are looking for a source of income you should find a stable job.
But even if we recommend gambling as a job, many people use gambling to make money. They realize that they can lose their money before making money, and they also know they can not make money, but they still play gambling. Maybe we see many examples out there that tell us about people who gamble for the long term and use gambling for their career. But not many of them can make big money from gambling, and many of them lose their money, even losing everything in their lives.

If you think about recovering your lost money in gambling, that will almost impossible to get unless you get your luck to help you to get your money back. But I suggest you stop gambling after recovering your losses, so you don't have to get another loss.

We can hardly name gambling as a job or career. It's a hobby that some people turned into way to make the money for the living. But there are actually only few of them who are successful in that and who can make enough money to cover living expenses. And that can't last very long like in usual business career, they also need to have some kind of alternative.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is NOT a replacement to the Stock Market/ traditional investments on: November 14, 2020, 08:11:42 AM
Bitcoin can also be a type of investment but is different compared to stock market and it can't be replacement.
Also I think that Bitcoin as am investment is available to broader range of people and it's more convenient and I would even say easier to understand and to participate. But it's still very risky and you still need some knowledge and principles of crypto market to know how to deal with it
Having in mind that is good to diversify the risk and use multiple types of investment is good to combine investing in Bitcoin and in stock market.
117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe NBA is rigged? on: November 13, 2020, 10:40:07 PM
Referees are just humans too, though they make the judgement to call a foul or not in a play, they can also make mistakes too, even the easy call, we also makes mistakes just like a player going for an uncontested lay up but still failed to shoot the ball, it happened, but then we can't stop people from making their own speculation.
All are right.

The speculations of others it to be rigged can't be stop though. With mistakes committed by refs, they will have hard time removing that thought just because of it.

Still, with good or bad calls, can't determine everything in NBA as what others are trying to think.

If ain't moving according to how they'll understnad it there's nothing that anyone can do about it,
with or without any such things in the eyes of frustrated fans there's still something out there.

It's everyone own judgement even without a proof it will be stated and vocally expressed, NBA will continue to live like that
as there's always ghost being rigged from time to time.

You just need to look for the entertaining part and avoid stressing yourself so you can continue
enjoying those games from players and teams that you idolized.

For a long time NBS isn't just basketball anymore and s lot has changed, for a worse. Unfortunately, NBA is not the only example and many sports today are suffering from the same issues
However, I strongly agree that we should look the good and entertaining side in it and support our favourite teams and players and enjoy the game, no matter how hard this may seem from time to time.
118  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin cross $15k in end of 2020 on: November 13, 2020, 09:59:36 PM
Bitcoin is found to have good resistance above $15000. Today price of bitcoin crossed $16000, but this didn't last for much longer time period. Over the ongoing weekend we can expect the price of bitcoin once again cross $16k and gain resistance to move forward. From the growth we've been experiencing over the last few months there is good stability and gradual rise.

At the moment resistance is good, that is true, but it can also change easily.
Currently the price is slightly above 16k and that might look like it's heading towards 17k. However, corrections are possible in any moment and we have already experienced some so it will take more than just resistance for Bitcoin to keep current level and move forward.
119  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to $100k in 2021 on: November 13, 2020, 09:07:22 PM
We see that every time when Bitcoin price is rising people come with exaggerated predictions for the future. I don't know what is the meaning of it but 100k in 2021 is not realistic.
I don't expect that price will be on the growing path all the time without corrections and that market will experience only positive trends.
120  Economy / Speculation / Re: Any relation between market dump and Biden's win? on: November 13, 2020, 03:51:34 PM
To my opinion there is no connection at all between Bitcoin price and US elections or to be precise the fact that Bitcoin won.
In fact I think that influence of politics is not relevant when it comes to Bitcoin, except in cases where governments make certain decisions that directly might influence Bitcoin regulation or something.
