101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accumulating Bitcoin or trading Bitcoin which is more wise to do. on: May 07, 2024, 04:25:14 AM

traders are trading BTC/USDT to accumulate BTC. the stablecoin is what it's used for, traders sell the BTC for a higher price in exchange for USDT and then wait til the price drops which they accumulate satoshis. it could be easy to look at it this way and one could think you get to be rich when you master doing this. i do believe so but what you need is also time and patience which not everyone has.

102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most "Memecoins" are not even coins, most "Memecoins" are tokens on: May 06, 2024, 09:14:27 PM
This has been settled for some months or years back and it was clearly state that any coin that is not bitcoin, it is an altcoin and it is spelled as alt and coin, therefore it is a coin. But I am trying to like your explanation because really there some airdrops or memecoins that are not coins. Like you said coin must has it own Blockchain chain and community or forum and but airdrops or memecoins do not have that instead they survive from another platform and like the examples you gave is very good. BNB, and others are not coins per say but a token.

But from my view point Ethereum is coin because all the elements that qualify cryptocurrency to be a coin, it has it. And not like others tht you made mentioned that is not a coin. Solana is also a coin. Though I understand your point of view but when you critically look at it Ethereum is a coin and not a token.

ETH was just labeled as a smart contract platform but is not distinguished as a coin.  everybody seems to call it a token though.

i'm not sure where the subject is going though. if this is to tell people not to invest in the memecoins/tokens because they are using L1 chain, i think this will still not be heard by those people. all they see is $ and if WIF is worth $3.40 at the time of this writing. i think they are already seeing it will jump to $4 soon.
103  Economy / Economics / Re: Combination of Different FIATS Make World Inflation? on: May 06, 2024, 07:08:06 PM
Every country is printing their fiat no matter what and people within the country have no choice but when it comes to international trades the leaders prefer the strongest currency which USD as of now so if China print more money then it will lose its value against USD and that's how USD is still being at the top but if there is a situation countries lost the trust that USD is strong and stable then they might prefer their own fiat or anything else.

China is reliant on its importations that's why they are securing its trade routes such as the Belt and Road.
China is the world's producer of different products, there will always be a demand for their money since every time a country imports products from them, these countries will need CYN to purchase those products. if they stop producing also, the rest of the world will suffer from increasing higher prices of even the old phones.

but USD declining demand because of BRICS dedollarization will force the government to print more. the increase in US debt every month means printing off these notes while they support wars. USD is widely used still and every time there is printing of USD, all other countries with USD reserves will be affected.

with this kind of economic advisor, the government will need to fire this guy without pay. this man here is Jared Bernstein, White house economic advisor.

this is the funniest, you'd think its fake. but its real.

104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Damn the fees on: May 06, 2024, 06:26:27 PM
Playing the game is not what that make you realizes paying high fees except you're trying to make withdrawal and at the cause of doing this, you may have to make use of a network which fee is more cheaper and lower, which will be more affordable, as everyone already suggested, don't even go near the use of Ethereum network, sometimes, what you're sending may be lesser to the transaction fees to encounter.

most probably designed this way to keep users playing. its one of the strategy that even casinos do to make users stay for longer. but with more games and competition in think these kind of issues will soon disappear as more users will prefer to move to games that will allow them to make money.

but this should have been considered already even before they develop the games with the tokens. EOS i think fits the role for the network they should be utilizing if they want adoption. most gamers are kids who doesn't have funds on thier own.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2024’s GameFi Gems:4 Must-Invest Tokens on: May 06, 2024, 06:09:03 PM

most of the projects that took flight already will certainly be posted by someone in the forum but it's only PIXEL that i read that was posted in here. i couldn't even remember it until this thread popped. i'm having doubts about whether anyone from here ever played one of these games.

if they make the game easy and tokens are easy to earn, there may have been a lot of posts already and the majority will likely take the opportunity to play all day abandoning the free spins and bounty campaigns.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most "Memecoins" are not even coins, most "Memecoins" are tokens on: May 06, 2024, 05:52:03 PM

so basically, its only dogecoin that passes the criteria for being a memecoin. the rest are meme tokens. they do have a reason for this since it is easier to add these meme tokens on DEXs than the memecoins having their own blockchain.

easier to pump the memecoins on dex, the team itself can try pumping these meme tokens and as soon as people buy them they could just dump their tokens to those who think they could make money out of it.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what things to do when crypto loss is there on: May 06, 2024, 05:31:15 PM

$200 seems a good amount for memecoin pump and pump. spotting which one is the hardest part but list them all in a tradingview account and watch which one has been on a dip for a long time but is so popular with a huge 24 trading volume. whenever one just spike about 5% and you think it is yet not too late to get into it, i guess that might just be your signal.  Grin

not financial advice bro. or you can list top coins from BTC, ETH, SOL and BNB. just apply the same concept.  Grin
108  Economy / Economics / Re: cryptocurrency market changes in April on: May 06, 2024, 05:22:46 PM

Halving this April didn't change the market i guess since you skipped it. but right after it happened the price went down which was also expected just like the ETF approval in Hong Kong. It's a classic buy the rumor and sell the news in action.

Ton's upward trend started in March and in April, it's mostly downwards. holders taking profit already for maybe they want to hold BTC this time.
109  Economy / Economics / Re: BRICS has become eleven countries instead of five. on: May 06, 2024, 06:15:03 AM
i don't think they trust anybody in their group but they were mixing all their assets afaik but not sure who will hold their assets and they come up with the currency BRICS as well.
Let us all be honest these countries will do anything to save themselves even if it meant they have to make it look like they have a partnership or just a good relationship with other countries. They are all in agreement because there is something they need from each other. The moment there is none, I am sure they will have no hesitation to turn their backs on one another.
Quote
however i don't think they are interested in new world order, they just want to be independent in finance and economics since most of these countries were sanctioned by US and if they can work around on their own means they are free from US sanctions.
Freedom from US is equivalent of being able to dethrone the US government and the US dollar.

it's not like US doesn't have a chance to rise again. they have all the means from the start. they were just not believing from the beginning that BRICS is dedollarising and all they saw was that it's not true and that BRICS is delusional.

they are going to keep adding more countries to their side if nothing is changed in the policies.  my country is allied with the US to this day, seems nothing has been done to improve our lives. maybe going with BRICS for a change will result in something better. maybe this is what those new BRICS members are thinking as well.

110  Economy / Economics / Re: Farming and it importance to the economy on: May 05, 2024, 08:42:14 PM

yes, the government should encourage the citizens to become self-sufficient. in the time of Muammar Gadaffi he encouraged all the families to grow chickens so that they have eggs, i think that worked on them which is why during his time, the country was called the last hope for Africa. anyway, history is cruel to him.

but its time to really make it the right option for people to grow crops in the backyard and farm, chickens in order for the family to have their own food resources without relying on any company for jobs.
111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regulations Not Working as Planned?? on: May 05, 2024, 07:18:00 PM

since we all have to comply with the KYC regardless of the success the price of BTC is going up and the adoption rate increased, they could say is working in their favor because they are also gradually taking control of the market through ETFs.

whether compromised or not, doesn't matter anymore because everyone is busy trying to live already in the current economy. we are all submissive.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why'AltCoin and related projects mostly been promoted by lower rank memebership? on: May 05, 2024, 06:41:59 PM
this is because the low rankers are artificial accounts that were deliberately created to promote the project, because if they were reputable members, they would not promote crypto projects carelessly because the project could destroy their reputation. therefore you will see that it is very rare for reputable members to promote new altcoin projects, because they are very careful when promoting new projects since it could be a scam and deceive investors and they don't want to take the risk of that.
Also a lot of the people promoting those projects use several accounts or even bots to promote those projects, and it is way easier for them to create a bunch of new accounts than to try to rank up like everyone else, this in return makes reputable members even more wary to promote such projects as they do not want to become part of a campaign that is willing to recruit such users, and in my opinion those two factors are creating the present situation in which high rank members prefer to stay away from such projects.

altcoins are for shitcoiners they say. but then everyone also holds altcoins. yup, that's how it is. even in online forums where it's supposed to be fun and memes all the time because we're all anonymous, users think they have a reputation to keep. i guess because people are doxing each other as well. ETH back in 2015 means you are a shitcoiner. things changed now even when it's a fact that it's still an altcoin.

if you want a project promoted by high rank reputable users, pay using BTC. whether it's a memecoin you want to promote, there will be a high rank with a green trust who will promote that project.

Aldo still this fast avoiding back fist? https://twitter.com/mmaSharke/status/1786968251538268298

he could have knocked the boy down like a log since his feet almost did the chicken dance but also took him down instead and allowed this boy to recover.
114  Economy / Economics / Re: Ever dreamt of turning your passion into profit? on: May 05, 2024, 06:58:59 AM
one person i know becomes a businessman after his child's dog breeds with its fellow dog. they took the dog into the park and it just breeds with another there. at first, they didn't mind when the dog became pregnant. after it gave birth to 6 pups, they went to facebook groups for help on how to raise those pups and then a few people were just asking to buy the puppies. after that day they plan to breed their dogs instead.

now even the chickens they have are being crossbred with another to produce some chicken. it has become his business already. their passion to grow with their business. their passion surely helped.
115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you successfully influenced someone to invest in bitcoin ? on: May 05, 2024, 06:05:47 AM
i have influenced someone but it was just my brother. and the money he used to invest in BTC was also the one i gave to him  Grin i guess it's just the only way i can make him feel how investors feel when they have something to be proud of.

after influencing him to own some BTC, i advised him not to feel very confident in trading even when he learned it well. somehow you can't prevent them from investing in something else such as memecoins.  Grin
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could China (or similar) take control of Bitcoin? on: May 04, 2024, 09:48:36 PM

But don't worry about it, Bitcoin can't be taken over easily, because it's a global network of thousands of computers and mining has proof of work, which makes it very expensive to take over.

While I agree that it wouldn't be some kind of global catastrophe, I think that in this thread at least, we've established that China absolutely could take control of Bitcoin if they wanted to...

China is more concerned about their money being used by their people. it will be more disastrous for their CBDC.

i don't think they can take over Bitcoin, they may however have more than 50% but more countries will do the same if they have plans like this. BlackRock who is somehow investing in mining farms can also do the same. it's just a battle of hashrates. but won't it just end up having their own BTC fork and they will just be the only ones who will be using that forked coins?
117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think US Paypal Users would be interested in buying cryptocurrency? on: May 04, 2024, 09:17:59 PM
Quote
Also, for many people (for example, the elderly and uneducated), buying, storing, using bitcoin is something extremely complicated and therefore, such people will be very happy to use the services of intermediaries, like PayPal. Which, in a way, also act as a guarantor of security, which will be taken advantage of by their clients who want to shift responsibility to Paypal.
I don't see any difference between this and buying a Bitcoin ETF. Paypal has been known to lock users accounts ( I don't know if they have changed) who speak ill against them on social media or online.
I don't think PayPal offers crypto custody service. PayPal only serves as a payment service provider that facilitates the buying and selling of crypto. The owner can always transfer the coins to his choice wallet. So this service is different from ETF where buyers don't control or have custody of their investment.
It's true that the service is not the same as what ETF is offering, but they are also offering a custodian service for people who buy crypto from them and decide to hold it there without withdrawing. Is that not them helping the person to hold their coin for them? Is custody service far from that?
I was wrong and I apologize for the misinformation. I just checked PayPal services on crypto and you are correct. They also offer custodian services just like exchanges. Only people with little knowledge about such platforms will keep huge funds in them. These platforms can easily be manipulated by regulatory agencies.

Oh yes, they can help you withdraw it to any wallet of your choice after you purchase from them. Then what? They will keep track of where even every bit of that coin is moved to start from your first withdrawal, unless you use some privacy service. Once the authorities ask for your data, they will hand it over without any second thought.
Of course, anyone dealing with these centralized platforms such as PayPal should be aware that they have lost privacy. This is the same thing with centralized exchanges and other centrally run crypto service providers. Using an anonymity tool is a must if you want to enjoy privacy after patronizing these platforms.

in the currency exchange forum on this board, there are users trading BTC for Paypal actually which is kind of anonymous if you keep this trading this way. you contact a user and make a deal outside a platform.

but i'm not sure if Paypal is still useful today. that's why i don't see many users accepting Paypal unless they are up for bigger rates in using PayPal.
but it sure if a user buys BTC on Paypal itself, the anonymity is already over.

118  Economy / Economics / Re: Take care of your money and learn to save. on: May 04, 2024, 09:12:25 PM

people who criticize are always the ones who haven't achieved more than you have. It's always that way when you have money, they come forward and be on your side but when you have nothing, you are set aside and even discredits your achievements.

it's best to just keep silent when you have money and never show them your success. not everyone on your side is your friend. sometimes they are just waiting for your failures.
119  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN AT 63K. What should we expect moving forward? on: May 04, 2024, 08:19:59 PM
After the latest news related to the FED meeting, and having US elections by the end of the year, I guess it is quite likely to go up during the next months

it may seem like a quick bounce but we were actually going down for several weeks since 70k +. i couldn't really say we are going back up to $70k again. but that FED meeting does set up the stage because no hike was announced.

if we go straight to win big and break that resistance in 74k i guess the halving is taking effect already and it's breaking the golden ratio rule.  i like it when it hits those who expect a lower price and then suddenly leave them behind.  Grin
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 5 Altcoins under $0.1 to Buy in May on: May 04, 2024, 07:42:25 PM

SKALE (SKL) looks cool and for a 2nd layer solution, it seems undervalued.

if i just have some budget for more altcoins i might just give this project a try. among the list it's the Vechain that i have held for more than a year already. i'm an MMA fan so i can see the project name promoted usually on UFC cages, it should be known to the fan of this sport. its just frustrating that the price is still less than $0.10
