When merchants like the hairstylingshop adapt guldencoin, do they accept it via litepaid? Or otherwise already? I have a cafetaria who is open to adapt guldencoin here in the neighbourhood. Nocks only allows you to buy at bitcoin merchants with guldencoin so Dutch tourist can travel and still spend guldencoin overseas and bitcoin users coming to visit Netherlands can use there bitcoin at NLG merchants. Litepaid is only platform that is adding merchants as far as I know. |

I love Guldencoin updates  Guldencoin is my favorite coin  It can't be denied anymore, I will be speaking to more people about guldencoin this weekend as I have complete faith they can invest and use this coin. Before I wasn't 100% sure I wanted other people to spend money if I wasn't sure this team can keep the code up to date. |

Seems legit, let's go for this plan. This is good plan. 7.9 million fast coins to come. Not a chance this price can be maintained until the rewards reduce, I would say 230-260 is a good price for guldencoin. |

Suggestion:  Since the multi-algo idea was dropped and since you are still scrypt based. Why not just setup a way to merge mine Guldencoin with LTC & Doge. Is merge mining a good thing and does it provide same protection for all coins on hash rate? I think it will make block times very smooth but downside is miners will get guldencoin for free and create less value? |

I agree with you, although I think this is the right way of surviving the early stage of this coin. It needs a solid base, and I think indeed this can be find in the Netherlands. Looking at the online and offline merchants, you guy are already doing a great job. As soon as the coin is solid in the Netherlands, you can start looking more serious abroad  . Sad but true.  |

Stay on 1000 rewards and you will need a very patient team and community that doesn't care about price but keeps building without seeing results. When last did you see /GeertJohan post on these forums or the main forum? I have no doubt he would be posting every day and doing development if the price was 2000 because he could see the results of his work gaining value. Higher price and marketcap brings in services without you asking for it. I build a service the first thing I do is add the top 20-50 coins and then look at others. A low price/marketcap coin can be ignored because folks building services don't have time to investigate the millions of other alt coins. This is why I went from a neutral stance to agreeing with the team. It's very unfortunate but it's the way the world works and it's human nature to pulled towards overall positive trends. Price evaluations is what you asked for with bitcoin price about the same.Next year: 1000 reward. 120 - 150 --> Marketcap would be slightly lower as price devalues by more then half but coin supply grows to cover the marketcap loss. 100 reward. > 600 --> Marketcap grows by just over double. The above does not take into account high profile merchants or innovative development. Higher bitcoin price will also mean lower prices on both evaluations. Look at the price . It only proves you right again that we would be going under 200. |

DMD coin made change to supply by dropping it by 90% and rewards by 80% and it has worked for them. Price gone up 5 times and stable at higher levels, guldencoin still keeping supply same 1.68 billion but reward drop by 90% for long time. People are worried about a pump but it won't happen because there is almost 20 btc worth of sells to 500. This means after the reward the price wont easily go over 500. I think slowly price will rise but it still depend if the team and community keep bringing more projects online. |

I like EFL as a trading coin because of the low supply. As soon as you add merchants the price will be pushed down as people buy. Guldencoin is a good example of why merchants and services is a bad idea for price gains but it's great as a currency.
About the low supply : You are missing the point, literally here . There is no such thing as low supply with cryptocurrencies. You are tricked by the decimal point. You can put the decimal point anywhere at your convenience. Even a satoshi is not a hard limit. There is no fundamental difference between NLG and EFL with respect to supply, because they are "infinitely" devisable. NLG just has the decimal point about two positions to the right. To make you feel richer ? What a joke . Now they think the price goes down because there are too many of them (being mined/inflation). That reasoning is so fundamentally wrong that I am astounded by their (who are they ?) stupidity. When you want to compare things you will first have to normalize. Compare NLG with Bitcoin for example : - There will be 80 times as many NLG as Bitcoin (or EFL) ever (if they keep their hands of their settings) - NLG is being mined at a rate of 225 per minute (after some manipulation Bitwise mentioned before), Bitcoin at a rate of 2.5 per minute and EFL at a rate of 6.25 per minute If you normalize the NLG amount with Bitcoin you would get 2.8 NLG per minute which means that the rate of inflation is currently about the same as with bitcoin and less than half of the EFL inflation rate. If you would only look at "available supply" the picture only changes slightly (there are currently 20 times as many NLG as Bitcoin/EFL) And now they are trying to trick the market again by forging their fundamentals by a factor 10  If you don't understand the above you will not be able to understand marketbehaviour when they change inflation rate arbitrary again. If you arbitrate, people need to trust the arbitrator. That is the exact opposite of what cryptocurrencies are intended for. About being great as a currency : Any cryptocoin is potentially great as a currency, although a larger marketcap and a predictable value is greater. Cryptomoney is great because it is rare, portable, recognizable, durable and devisable. Let me rather use Digibyte as example as NLG stir up emotion on this ANN and EFL stir up emotion on NLG ANN. Psychoticboy would not touch Digibyte or Doge because you can't control a market with so many coins, but the price is very stable compared to low supply coins. With EFL just 20 btc I can pump price very high but risk a dump from Niels or PB. What makes this coin fun is the volatile price swings. |
