10381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: May 19, 2015, 06:53:35 PM

Thanks EvilDave for sharing the infos. Unfortunately, it is not exactly what I am looking for. I am looking for something model-controller based.
10382  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for coders to work on a new startup on: May 19, 2015, 06:44:19 PM
i agree with both foreposters. Mongodb is not a practical solution for acid. and you should definetely use acid for critical apps.
i am a experienced web developer and i am interested to join your project. can you please provide me some more information via pm.

10384  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to earn Some BTC ,, im 1 - 2 month active in this forum on: May 19, 2015, 06:24:41 PM
For twitter campaigns you usually need an account with a least 50 followers. Sometimes even more. Most users don't have so many users. Thus it is not recommendable for newbies.
10385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: May 19, 2015, 05:30:52 PM
While writing a little Nxt script that is calling the API I am wondering if there is a ready-to-use PHP and / or Python library in order to easily access the Nxt API without writing all the overhead (Json parsing etc)?

I mean something like
Quote
$nxt = new Nxt();
$nxt->account("NXT-XXX-XXX-XXX-XXXX")->getUnconfirmedBalance();

10386  Other / Meta / Re: Petition for Monero to have its own board, so we don't bother the altcoins. on: May 19, 2015, 05:24:54 PM
IMHO, Monero is not that special to give it an own sub forum. If we do that every coin, which is considering itself as special, will request its own sub forum. Then BTT will explode.
10387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC38 going crazy on NXT and BLK on: May 19, 2015, 04:50:53 PM
He is right. Nxt went up of 12% last 24 hours. If you have followed the price development of Nxt over that last months you realized that this is abnormal pump causing by chinese traders. So, in my opinion it is worth a thread.
10388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex now allowing short sales on some coins. on: May 19, 2015, 04:44:26 PM
I've got some good background in forex and stock trading stuff. Thus, I am wondering how they want to secure short trades financially. There is too less liquidity in those alts to allow riskless short trades for Polo.
10389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: BTXcoin is RECRUITING DEVS !!! on: May 19, 2015, 04:30:49 PM
Which kind of skills are you looking for? I am interested but I am actually more a web developer than a software dev.
Let me know if you are looking for someone for web stuff  Grin

10391  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't create "Free Bitcoin" posts here. on: May 19, 2015, 04:21:26 PM
Actually, it should be the job of a moderator to watch the sections s(he) is responsible for reguarlary in order to find wrong or disallowed posts.

Don't create any "Free Bitcoins" post here. There is a dedicated sub-board for these called Micro Earnings. You can ask questions like "Where to get free bitcoins?", "Any free bitcoin sites?" etc... and discuss about these sites in that board.

I advice you to understand the risks involved in free Bitcoin sites before using them. There is an excellent EDU by shorena: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1044399.0.

Happy earning!
I recommend contacting a moderator or posting in meta. You are right on this particular matter and I agree with you, however a lot of people won't see this thread.
After some time it will just get buried in the section and bumping it all the time would be pointless.
The thread should be sticky so it is visible by default in the section.
10392  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to get things in return of bitcoin on: May 19, 2015, 04:18:48 PM
If you want to cash out your Bitcoins against USD then there are various sites with offer you instant USD transfer to Paypal, Okpay, Neteller etc.

If you want to spend your Bitcoins for daily goods you need to mention where you come from. There is an instantly increasing amount of shops and merchants accepting Bitcoins. Especially in Europe.

For example, many shops in the Netherlands, in Berlin (Germany) or in Belgium (http://coinyoo.com/2015/05/17/ghent-belgiums-own-bitcoincity/). I am sure there are even some in the States. But as I already said, it depends where are you located.
10393  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: gambling..its taking me out.. on: May 19, 2015, 04:10:07 PM
You must be clear of the fact that the gambling sites (or the banks) always win. There are algorithms behind the games, slots, roulettes etc which always are set up in the way that you will lose longterm and the casino wins longterm.
10394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: (XEM) NEM Speculation thread on: May 19, 2015, 04:05:01 PM
Continious slight price increase since weeks. I guess we have seen the absolute bottom of XEM.
10395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Election System Based on the Blockchain? on: May 19, 2015, 03:57:47 PM
I just thought about what could be realized by using blockchain technology. I came across that the blockchain could help to create a secure, distributed and not manipulable election system. Every (encrypted) vote must be verified by at least a particular amount of peers before it counts like a transaction. What do you think? Is such a system conceivable?

Just wondering if the InstantDex exchange is already live? Last time I heard about news was some time ago.

On the one hand, I can understand this step. There is so much scamming going on on exchanges. On the other hand, a centralized service gets more information about you  Roll Eyes It's actually all what crypto currencies stand against for. We should drive the development for decentralized exchanges forward in my option. Couldn't NEM be a forerunner?

NOTE: Poloniex will require Name/country after May 20th to withdraw coins

it's only basic and you can even fake. no need to panic for now
