1041  Other / Meta / Re: Forum having issues? on: July 09, 2023, 10:31:13 AM
Yeah, I also have same issue since yesterday. Forum loads much slowe than it's supposed to load and I'm also getting Cloudflare verification before loading page sometimes.
There was topic about yesterday, but now it's locked as it already looked that everything is back to normal

1042  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: July 08, 2023, 11:21:35 PM
Looking at this sudden fatal accident of Dilano Van't Hoff I likely see this as the same crash for Anthoine Hubert an F1 driver that Juan Manuel Correa have run over and crashed on the same corner the Eau Rouge as I really don't know if that is the correct corner but it has cost lives I think that Uphill corner needs to change the uphill where the driver can not see where they are going is likely causing some accident and now that the F1 race will commence on Belgium on July 28-30, the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps Circuit needs to investigate and change the Uphill because certain drivers feel surprised with that certain Corner, as Drivers will be launched like rockets as the are going uphill, it was likely a dangerous Corner that needs to go away,

Most drivers love Eau Rouge corner, but nature of this turn makes it very dangerous. Main problem that if accident happens, cars jump back to track from wall. And drivers behind who go uphill can't see what happened ahead and they don't have enough time to react and avoid car that jumped back on track. After fatal crash of Anthoine Hubert not enough things were done to avoid such accidents in future and Spa took life of another yong driver.
There is also responsibilty on organizers. It wasn't wise decision to let racing on heavy rain without much visibility, especially considering that there was over 30 cars on track with young drivers without much experience behind the wheel.
1043  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: July 08, 2023, 10:07:06 PM
Today 5 Azov commanders returned from Turkey together with Zelensky. There was agreement between Turkey and Russia thatthey will stay in Turkey until end of war, but now nobody didn't asked permission from Russia and Peskov is already crying about it:
https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2023/7/8/ukraines-zelenskyy-returns-azov-commanders-released-to-turkey
I think I don't have tell what's going on in Z telegram channels and what's their reaction about these news Cheesy. In outcome of this story only thing that Russia got is Medvedchuk, but I'm not sure what' they're going to do with him.

Bakhmut must be taken before New Years, before the war aniversary, before victory day, etc.

It doesn't really make sense outside of Kremlin bubble. No one in Vilnius is gonna say "oh well, Zelensky has not taken Crimea by <insert some date made up by the 15 ruble brigade idiots who spread Putin's propaganda for free> so let's stop giving them weapons". If anything they will give more weapons or certain types of weapons that may address some of the issues encountered during the alleged counteroffensive. Progress is obvious and goals remain the same, concern trolling notwithstanding.
They like to create narrative and then they start to believe in it like it would be actually true. It can be said about thing that Russians is spreading now - Ukraine should reach something significant before NATO summit, otherwise they won't get more help from West. But people in West aren't stupid, I doubt that they expected that Ukraine will cut land corridor to Crimea or something similar, especially without much support from air.
Meanwhile, USA recently confirmed that they will supply cluster munition to Ukraine. I just remind that Ukraine didn't ratified convention on ban of cluster munition, so, everything is ok there.
1044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: July 08, 2023, 07:55:06 PM
Bottas got disqualified from qualification because he didn't had enough fuel to take sample. And inusfficient fuel was the reason why he stopped on track, not some technical problems. Anyway, not very important thing as he was just 15th.

Indeed Albion is doing an amazing job, with his Williams.

Albion is also rumored to have refused an offer from the RBR family to be back in their galaxy.

It is unknown if was a seat in RBR or Alpha Tauri.
Yeah, Albon is doing amazing things with Williams, delivering points for them constantly. If he refused offer from Alpha Tauri, it understandable - it wouldn't be step forward for him comparing with Williams. And if it was Red Bull - maybe he don't want repeat what already happened for him in this team. Perez example perfectly shows how difficult to be 2nd driver of Red Bull.
1045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: July 08, 2023, 05:16:10 PM
Onve again Perez failed to reach Q3 - already 5th time in a row. This time he didn't even managed to get out from Q1. It's not acceptable. Despite it he still have good chances to fight for podium like he did week ago.
Nice to see both Mclaren in Top 3, especially Piastri - I think that not many saw such outcome coming.
1046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: July 07, 2023, 07:53:46 PM
I'm in again without any doubts. I already lost count how many seasons I'm playing in this pool. I think I missed only first and maybe 2nd season.
Going to send funds this weekend.

Too low?  Shocked +75% for a team that looks like a skating rink going through all the competitors? To be honest, I expected City quotes to be around 1.35-1.45 no more. Now I have a heavy feeling that I missed some important news and was generally mistaken.
It's not bad odds, but maybe for more short term than whole season. Actually, I don't believe that we have outright odds in EPL below 2.00
1047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Major League Soccer (MLS) 2021 on: July 07, 2023, 04:28:37 PM
Messi being MLS player has less with football and more with afterlife, he wants to settle down in Miami, and part of the contract is possibility for him to take down MLS license (to own a club in the league)
personally, I think that it is better decision that going to Saudi league to play just for money, but every player has his right to chose whatever he wants, both leagues will not bring competitive football after all

can't wait to see his start in Miami, they are lowest ranked team in the league after all, but eyeing several Barca players at the moment
I don't see big difference between MLS and Saudi - both is retirement leagues for stars. Biggest difference that level in MLS is still higher and they can't pay such crazy money. I don't know what should happen that I would turn on Saudi league on TV, but maybe I will try to watch some MLS game if it won't start very late for us in Europe.
It will be interesting to follow Miami with Messi, Busquests and former Barca manager Tata Martino. It would be nice if they would sign Andres Iniesta too.
1048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Eimantas Stanionis vs Vergil Ortiz Jr - July 8 on: July 06, 2023, 07:52:18 PM
For these who were waiting for this fight - bad news, it got cancelled again as Ortiz withdraws from fight just few day before it:
https://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/id/37970020/vergil-ortiz-jr-withdraws-bout-vs-eimantas-stanionis
It's getting ridicuous as fight got cancelled for 3rd time. I hope that Stanionis won't agree to fight with Ortiz again and these circumstances keeps him already 15 months without a fight.
1049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2023/24 | Prelim Qualifiers on: July 06, 2023, 07:42:19 PM
I really like this phase of the champions, because we can see how more normal teams fight against each other for a place into the group stage, and i always have some love, for small clubs and i want to see them reaching the group stage, im not going with one on particular, but yes seeing how all develops. The problem its when you reach the last stance of this journey and you play against the 4/5 teams from the 5 big leagues.

For example in this list, Ferencvaros its always reaching the last stages, going to UCL groups or falling into UEL. I can see a few more regulars on UEL.
For these clubs who start qualifiers now it's very difficult to reach group stage. From all these clubs maybe only Ferencvaros and Ludogorets managed to do it more than once in last decade. Offcourse, there magical story of Sheriff, but in general, these qualifiers is made to eliminate these small clubs. On the other hand, starting qualifiers from CL 1st round clubs have very good chances to reach Europa or Conference league group stage.
I love betting on these qualifiers, you can find so much value. And despite that I folllow it for many years, I see some team names that is new for me. Hacken from Sweden and Urartu from Armenia. In recent years it was common that champions of these countries were Malmo and Pyunik.
1050  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Promotion methods. Dark & Bitcointalk? on: July 06, 2023, 03:48:53 PM
I'm not sure what does "regulated" mean here. If you're referring to how government regulate ads and provide sanction for scammers, I don't think that's the case here. Forum members can give negative feedback and so on, but I'd not call it a regulated environment. At least that's my understanding of the moderation policy.[1] CMIIW.

I do agree that you need to follow the forum rules to maintain a decent brand image here. Spamming your service on your post would likely make you end up on ignore list or even a ban.

[1] https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.msg7955645
Considering that he failed to get any merits in more than 5 years, probably it means that he have no idea what he is talking about. If there would be ''legitimate and regulated environment'', then probably scams like 1xbit wouldn't be allowed to advertise here. Actually, with regualtions and similar stuff then probably only exchanges with KYC requirements would be able to advertise on Bitcointalk.
1051  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Is It Good For Local Crypto Forum To Include Other Interest To Attract More.. on: July 06, 2023, 03:30:04 PM
Speaking not just about crypto forums, but all forums in general, almost all of them have off-topic boards or boards for other discussion. But usually it's not very important part of forum, located somewhere near to the bottom of it. So, I don't see any problem if you will add it to your local problem. But I really doubt that it can help you to attract more users to your forum.
1052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: July 05, 2023, 08:46:05 PM
F1 today announced calendar for 2024 season:

https://twitter.com/F1/status/1676584214559444993
24 races, return of China for the first time since 2019 and races in Bahrain and Saudia Arabia will be held on Saturday because of Ramadan. Considering that we have 24 races - most ever, it's a bit strange that we have two 1 month breaks - as usual, summer break between Belgium and Netherlands and then between Singapore and USA. Potentially it can be another month break if Chinese GP will be canceled because of Covid again. Waiting whole month for race is just too long.
1053  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: kycnot.me bitcointalk version on: July 04, 2023, 10:48:09 PM
First of all, I wasn't familiar with Kycnot website until I saw your topic. What I can - it looks good. Making alternative for it? As you said, making website is easiest part, but maintaining ot and making updates is more difficult. Probably it would be nice to have such kind of website runed by community. By saying runed by community I mean that it would be managed by few people from Bitcointalk. It's ok when people notify you about changes, but you still will have to make updates on site alone. And when you work alone, eventually you may get tired and bored to maintain it.
1054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: July 04, 2023, 10:27:52 PM
I dont like this change of livery in Mcclaren, some of them are horrible, and made it only for the power of money. The only good one was the gulf, because it remember to a the great past one.

I expect Mercedes making a good race in his "home" race. The past year Russel was very unlucky in that start.
Seems that Mclaren now focused too much on changin their liveries, rather than improving their car. I know that car now should resemble their glorious era when Hamilton won his first champion title, but with that papaya color it doesn't even look similar
I also expect good performance from Mercedes, but it's going to be difficult to fight with Ferrari if they won't fail with strategy - they're looking good now.
1055  Other / Meta / Re: Self-moderated topics - nice feature or should it get banned? on: July 04, 2023, 10:17:38 PM
I don't know exact reasons behind conflict between you and Unknown01 and why he is so angry at you, but any way, I don't see that he mentioned any valid reasons why self moderated topics should be banned. While you already mentioned all main reasons why it's must have thing. So, this question can't be even considered seriously now. It would be interesting if he would come here with his arguments.
I only can see one disadvantage of such topics - censorship when people can delete posts not because it's bad but simply because they don't like it or author who made it. Also, it allows to delete negative comments about service. But when you add all benefits and few little disadvantages, this question can't be even considered seriously.
1056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 7000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: July 04, 2023, 04:42:29 PM
Not that I know much about cricket, but there's also a surprising amount of interest in the Balkans apparently... and even in the Baltics, where Sportsbet has a huge cricket presence at grassroots level Wink
Cricket in Baltics? I live there and never heard that cricket is played here. I'm also not sure that we have pitch were cricket can be played in this regions.
BTW, I saw in my Youtube feed stream of European Cricket league which is played in Hungary now. Tried to watch a bit, but still not clue how exactly it's played.

I really wanted to go with Ukraine against Spain in the Euro U-21's but eventually went with Spain.

Let's see how it goes, eh? Grin
Yeah, I also like to see how Ukraine is played, but decided to go with logic, rather than emotions and picked Spain.
1057  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: The "DT update log" should be Alphabetical. on: July 04, 2023, 09:31:42 AM
I don't see any strong reasons why this change should be done. Maybe alphabetical order would look better for you, but it doesn't makes list more convenient to use. It's not really difficult to use search in your browser if you want to find specific names in that list.
Also, as said above, LoyceV have lists of users who were added and who were removed and it makes skimming proccess much easier.
1058  Economy / Services / Re: needed a person with good merit on: July 03, 2023, 10:07:30 PM
I'm wondering how seriously you're asking and how you imagine everything would look. After you made this public request, someone sending merits to you must be simply stupid. But well, after looking at your trust feedbacks, it looks that you have nothing to lose.
1059  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 7000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: July 03, 2023, 08:15:39 PM
cricket is probably a no-zone for all participants

after solid start, two rounds without a win, so we need to put additional pressure on manager to get things done this week, several different sports

congrats to Spain for winning U19 basketball, USA without medal in the end
Maybe there is few guys who idea what is cricket and how it's played, but yeah, for most of us it's dark forest.
Watched U19 final yesterday, it was completely 50/50 game of two equal team, nothing surprising that overtime was needed. And USA ending without a medal is big upset.

Did anyone else find the Wimbledon on-site "IBM Slamtracker" pretty cool? I don't seem to recall it being there before even in other GSs, but this one shows a much clearer draw path than others with nice dividers for rounds and even a "helpful" predictor (never trust them haha). Or maybe I never noticed it before?
I think it was available on previous editions of Wimbledon, but yeah, it's really cool thing. And IMO, Wimbledon have best website from all Grand Slam and ATP and WTA tours.
1060  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Situation in france problem on: July 02, 2023, 11:16:23 PM
I think the riots have a lot to do with the fact that the inhabitants of France who come from France Afrique, even if they are second or third generation, still resent the barbarities France did in Africa during colonialism, and in the case of the Muslims, who are the majority, they do not integrate into the Western way of life.

The case of the dead boy is of a 17 year old who had no driving licence, with a record for minor offences, including drug trafficking, and who was driving a top of the range Mercedes, on the run in the wrong lane.  As the previous colleague said, the police in Europe do not shoot as easily as those in the US, far from it. I don't justify the death though. Justice will have to look into the case and give a verdict accordingly.

The fact is that he was no angel and this has been taken advantage of by various movements to launch protests in the streets, which in many cases have involved looting and burning cars and street furniture.
Since when drug trafficking become minor offence? I'm not trying to justify what police did, but that guy was criminal, not some innocent kid. It's not good what happened, but it's likely that it could have ended much worse. What if he would have crashed into other car or pedestrians while running from police?

I think Macron relaxed immigration rules too much. France has fallen, the lawlessness is widespread & it does all seem to be a certain demographic. What I would say is that there is an open investigation into the death of the 17 year old boy. If the police acted in an illegal or unjust way then those responsible should be punished to the full extent of the law. The looting, vandalism, robbery & violence is inexcusable though, the young boy did not die for youths to rob Apple stores & designer clothes & handbag stores as I saw on the news. France needs to pull itself together fast before it gets even more out of control.
It's not mainly Macron's fault, it happned before he become president and it's problem in almost whole Western Europe in general. Most of responsibility goes to Merkel & co and their open doors policy in Europe. But yeah, Macron looks very weak during this crisis. Anyway, these things can't affect him much as in France president can't be elected for 3rd time.
