1041  Economy / Economics / Re: Luxury and spending lifestyle fastest way to poverty rich kids on: November 29, 2023, 05:46:27 AM
The world don't know that many of those homeless people are from the rich families.
I don't know that the OP is taking the problem seriously when the majority of homeless people are refugees, unemployed people whose homes have been confiscated,... and in the case that the OP mentioned, I think there are not many.

Going back to the main issue about the lavish spending of children born into rich families, I see the problem as a balance: if they can afford to pay for those things, they have the right to do so. I don't know if you can imagine, people who have money also know how to share it with charity, so don't just judge negatively, but be fair to all sides.
1042  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can someone explain ? Educated people but all they do is just scam on: November 29, 2023, 05:39:21 AM
The problem of greed and loss of ethics makes anyone willing to become a fraudster. Someone's ability to study well only reflects their ability to adapt to the current world, but problems in society are essentially balance and people will also have good and bad people.

But we should also be frank that those who bully me are not the majority, and only a few of them are determined to pursue their personal goals. And when they have fame and power, they are more likely to increase their greed, until they are discovered, which is when the balance is announced.
1043  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcointalk forum as a citadel of knowledge on: November 28, 2023, 06:11:53 AM
I frankly acknowledge this as a library of knowledge in all fields that people are willing to discuss. Since joining this market and forum, I've been really grateful because this space is really great for finding knowledge, and there are really talented people who are always willing to share their experiences and market perspectives with everyone.

Just like before, thanks to someone I forgot on the forum expressing gratitude for bitcoin, it changed my perspective on what I was expecting from the market. And I know that really lucky people find opportunities in this space.

But I still want to express that I have no intention of becoming a professional player because this field is too stressful for me, and moreover, psychological control is not a strength that I can take advantage of in this field. So I can only consider them as means of entertainment.
I believe that very few in which wanted to have that profession lol.

Imagine being a gambler is already a hard task then what more about professionalism in gambling?
There are not a few.

This field has many participants, but most of them are gold mines for platforms to exploit money from people's pockets. I remember in the 90s, when I first watched movies about gambling, and indeed, the image of good gamblers greatly influenced our generation. It might be a twist on the filmmaking to attract attention, but I also know of some players who have good skills offline, but there are some things that I know are scams in gambling.

Regardless of the field, there will always be people with perfect skills, but we all admit that success is not for everyone at the same time.
1045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Platforms Where You Get The Same Level Of Enjoyment Like You Do In Gambling on: November 28, 2023, 05:49:16 AM
If I don't have to gamble on weekends, I also have options to relax with relatives at small monthly parties. The things that I often like to do are paint and listen to music. I'm not a person who likes noisy places. Sometimes just sitting alone and reading books to find inspiration in life is also relaxation time.

I highly recommend gambling if it's simply seen as a platform for relaxation, but usually around me people can't control that, which makes me realize that I can't become addicted.

At a time when I thought gambling might be a lifeline for difficult times, I actually got lucky, but thinking back, it was risky. From seeking relaxation to becoming dependent, balance in life brings us back to seeing what we need to experience.
1046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Do I find a Balance Here? on: November 28, 2023, 05:40:32 AM
I have been holding for the long term and really want to continue this into the future. But right now, I am torn between continuing to hold and supporting a business that just started accepting Bitcoin. The internal conflict stems from my desire to contribute to the expansion of the Bitcoin economy by supporting businesses that adopt Bitcoin. I view this as a personal contribution to the broader acceptance and utilization of Bitcoin. On the other hand, it means that it will disrupt my plan of holding 100%. How do I find a balance between supporting this business that just started accepting Bitcoin and adhering to my investment strategy of long-term hodling?
I will express to you some situations that I faced, which is when I sold my bitcoins at the beginning of 2017 just because I could not manage that investment because of living expenses for life issues. Life is out of balance. And then the regret, but also the feeling of not regretting the decision in the past while I'm still here learning about bitcoin, as well as trying to find ways to optimize and maintain the investment.

So in the OP's case, I see that you mentioned the conflict because everything has its own benefits. So be strong and analyze that you choose only one thing to do and then analyze the risks associated with it to make a decision. For me, a long-term bitcoin holding plan should not be ruined. Don't force yourself to take on too many things, sometimes it is the reason why you fail in both plans. But anyway, I wish you a wise choice, because it is your own responsibility.
1047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you feeling the old professional bounty managers? on: November 28, 2023, 05:28:22 AM
Personally they are here but they don't bring bounty now. What do you think could be the main reason for this? There were many higher rank managers who gifted us bounties for good projects in the past but now they are retired. What have they removed from the bounty due to the bad situation in the crypto market?
Accepting the fact that the current bounty on the forum is of poor quality is the reason why both managers and hunters cannot carry out many programs. However, nowadays there are many changes in the way projects are promoted, causing new platforms to receive more attention, and if you are really looking for opportunities from marketing campaigns, then zealy, galxe,. .. I see there are many for you to choose from.
The main problem is still adapting to that change, and I also think that the new bull cycle will bring many new projects. Until then, we can also expect many quality bounty campaigns from the excellent management of the forum.
1048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cosmos or PolkaDot? on: November 28, 2023, 03:38:48 AM
I assess the potential of both to be equivalent, but clearly, in investing, looking at the risk issue also requires attention. And with altcoins, I think this issue really needs careful research, its fluctuations are very harsh, so it will not always be perfect for investors.

With Cosmos we can benefit from staking very well, because there are many airdrop projects on the ecosystem with great rewards. But with investing, how can you achieve good profits, so setting reasonable goals so as not to miss out when prices increase is also a difficult problem for many people.
1049  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will transaction fees affect Bitcoin in the future? on: November 28, 2023, 03:31:57 AM
It's not attractive for small transactions, but I think it won't fundamentally affect people's interest in this area . Because everyone knows the profit opportunity when investing in it, if you look back at previous price increase cycles, the issue of fees is always an opportunity for many developers to exploit and launch new products. And it's clear that the goal is still to create convenience for users to access the market.

Competition in trading would probably be eased if we saw increased profits, which I can sympathize with for those willing to spend large fees on trading. But anyway, with the development of crypto, I think fees only cause confusion for newcomers, and when they see the benefits, they will be willing to pay.
1050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Community Stablecoin - Idea on: November 28, 2023, 03:22:10 AM
During the growth market, we can easily see a series of developers launching their own stablecoins and then unfortunate events happen because of the very problem they see as a guarantee. Even if it is BTC, ETH,... it is not capable of maintaining its value at a safe level, so large companies that can ensure their stablecoins are safe will still receive trust. user's idea.
And the next problem that I see and will definitely be more common is that with the variety of different stablecoins (not just $), we will see more stablecoins from countries. So make sure it's worth it, as long as it's convenient for all parties, it won't be a big deal.
1051  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Restart, is it a good thing for humanity? on: November 28, 2023, 03:08:30 AM
The truth revealed at the present time is not enough to connect people more together, but I have to think positively that we are still on the journey to upgrade civilization despite the chaos. I think it's a trade-off to get what we want.

Regarding the Internet issue, I don't think things that appear in current life are the problem, but each of us is the cause of the problem. Because of greed, narrow-mindedness, ignorance, arrogance, cynicism,... but the wrong point of view keeps us stuck in a rather stereotypical lifestyle, and really, I only think about improving people's morality, which will change things for the better. But to operate it, I'm not sure, because balance with all when unity is the result we want is still the process we seek after many other civilizations together.
1052  Economy / Economics / Re: Central Banks keeping secret about CBDC blockchains on: November 28, 2023, 02:56:50 AM
(...)Something doesn't make sense here.
So are they harmful to the economy?

Fighting against each other and creating new things is seen as an alternative, but that in fact creates new problems.

I don't know what the OP's prejudice is against CBDC, but it's clearly still causing a lot of controversy, and I'm only neutral when I know the solution and the risks. Because of this market, we all want decentralization and freedom from constraints, but in reality, it has not happened, and getting rid of government restrictions on this market is always a problem for supporters. Blockchain households are always distrustful of the government's economic operations.
1053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Many Bets to Know How Good Enough You Are? on: November 27, 2023, 02:07:49 AM
As a gambler, how many bets do you think  you need to place to give you a true idea of how good you are? Anyone can hit 60% in the short term. But for example in betting I am hitting between 55-60% depending on the sport after around 450 - 500 bets. Assuming I want to go pro on betting, do you think that this is good enough or do I wait and see what my percentage is after 800 - 900 bets before making a decision?
The probability of the outcome is difficult to describe. With gambling, there are only wins, draws, and losses, so the outcome is the main factor. So how long is the exposure process? I think it's enough for them to realize its true nature, and there will be no time limit. Just like in life, there are people who cannot own a house from birth to death, but there are also people who are born as children of very rich people. And in gambling, I think the best players are always the bookies, as they give us space, so I really don't have many ideas about becoming a professional player.
1054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Solar Superstorm | Impact on the internet and Bitcoin. on: November 27, 2023, 02:00:48 AM
Rest assured that every problem has a solution, and that solution should be for that scenario to happen realistically, not in speculation.

And the story is that without the Internet, everything that exists will continue to function, and such a global disaster will cause negative effects in all aspects.

But there's no need to be afraid because at least we won't have to return to primitive times.

It's just that until then, people are willing to stop using social networks, where the issue itself can become a topic.  Tongue
1055  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin purchase using proceeds of a sold asset on: November 26, 2023, 03:44:42 AM
I had a discuss with someone about how people become successful through the Bitcoin space with  a case study of CZ, Binance's ex CEO. It was recorded that he had to do away with his house and invested the money into Bitcoin and today he has resources to afford more than enough houses anywhere in the world.

I suggested to him to pay deaf ears to what people will say if he wanted to invest in anything as it was his life and his money. He, however stated his concerns, that his property has his parents inhabiting it and that they would not agree for him to dispose it and also he considers it the only chance he has at investing in Bitcoin since he was just venturing into that space newly.

I know the parents must have gottent some negative reports about the crypto space and have held onto that as a reason for refusing to allow him sell it off.

Share your thoughts on this as to what you consider a wise counsel...
Apart from acknowledging the ability to learn and perseverance of CZ, I do not think it is necessary to mention those who are successful in this field. I think the biggest lesson that anyone involved in investing should clarify from the beginning is that it is better to balance risk/return. I also witnessed many people failing to borrow money and defaulting, and then there were tragic situations where they committed suicide. Before, I had some questions about why not all of us are rich, but after the process, I realized that if we are patient, better results are waiting for us.

It's understandable that we did everything right from the beginning, either no one would understand what we were doing, or they would actually understand bitcoin and crypto in the same way that we do. Because this is a common asset, you need to be responsible for how it will affect those around you.
1056  Economy / Speculation / Re: The volatility volumes of Bitcoin is not the Will of man on: November 26, 2023, 03:35:09 AM
Each stage of development has different changes, and as I understand it, there will be a time when it will no longer follow the way people speculate about the fluctuation cycle. But preparing to launch with the upcoming price increase in 2025, I think people being too strict about the time to buy sometimes only increases skepticism because of the volatility that I think is acceptable at this stage.

This period is the accumulation from when Bitcoin fell below $20k to the present, or even exceeding the ATH.

Since I don't like shortterm exposure to large portfolios like bitcoin, speculating on a new ATH status also gives me the hope of hitting my target with my investment plan.
1057  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Xi Jinping & Biden meetup on: November 26, 2023, 03:26:59 AM
This meeting really made many parties worry about the secrets behind it. But I'm a little curious about the inability to find a unified voice between the parties. The BRICS economic bloc probably won't make the US worry more (because they already worry too much  Roll Eyes ). But conflicts in other areas are still very fierce. There is a little speculation, and I also encountered some discussions about whether this is the beginning of a plan to take over Taiwan and show strength in the Southeast Asia region.
But another speculation is a bow from China to the US when China is also experiencing an economic crisis and many major sectors are facing debt default.
1058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Layer 2 Blast and airdrop! on: November 26, 2023, 03:17:23 AM
(...)Blast has reached more than 440 millions TVL. I may think to add at least 5 more ethereums soon.
I've also recently updated information about TVL, it's really got a lot of FOMO and this made me look back at some of the active L2s. Smiley
Perhaps with promise and a good support team, anything can be turned into a profitable tool.

Yeah TVL is more than 500 millions as per i write this post. It's around 800 millions combined with blur being staked to get blast. The hype is real someone has deposited 15k ethereum into the blast https://x.com/0xscopescan/status/1728354863892029845

that's crazy how someone is willing to risking his money. It seems like that the impact from pacman blur was real. No doubt that people have been learning a lot from optimism. The only question is now if there are no tokenomics.

I have bneen waiting for the dev to release their tokenomics. It will make everything clear how many tokens allocated for the airdrop. I hope that will be big like at least 25%.
I believe they all have their own research and decisions. Really, L2 is something that is being forced to push quickly, perhaps everyone is eager to enter a real bullish phase with bitcoin and crypto. Although the ongoing activities don't show much, I think the project advisor and developers will know how to make this project familiar to more people. I don't expect much because of the meme show after seeing the increase in TVL, but I think it will be available to everyone soon, maybe Q1 Q2 2024.
1059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Helping family businesses and fulfilling dreams with Bitcoin. on: November 26, 2023, 03:10:38 AM
I understand that each individual has their own life and ideals, and with bitcoin, I am also deeply grateful for all the things I know about it. I think that if we look back at the journey that the OP mentioned, it gives us more motivation to develop ourselves and our families. Bitcoin really brings many different opportunities, not just profitable investments. But it is this market that helps me connect with special friends who can support me and teach me everything they know.
So I also want to spread the OP's atmosphere, "always know how to give in order to receive in return" .
1060  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: November 26, 2023, 03:03:11 AM
I'm confused and looking for answers

If you are lonely, can you have interest in gambling simply because of your loneliness?

How would you judge someone who says they don't gamble because it's fun, is that a sign of a gambling addiction?

If you are making $600 a day, that's $20000 in a month, and because you are only you start having interest to gamble, what do you think this is?

All these questions is been asked because someone close said all these and I think he are losing money and losing himself too, of all the discussions we had, these are the points I held unto.

Later he open up to have been using $500 for gambling per day, he said all these started when his wife left him, that he isn't into gambling at all, but I can't ask why his wife left him in the first place, but does loneliness make people become addicted to gambling or it's something else.
- Loneliness can make anyone find different ways to fill the void. I also gambled regularly because I broke up with my girlfriend, but thinking back, it was a youthful impetuosity.

- We don't seek pleasure from gambling, so what the hell are we playing? Like those people, they only think that gambling is everything. It's also possible that it's part of a sign of gambling addiction, but as is the case it's just loneliness.

- If the OP is talking about the hypothesis then I think maybe I could make money magically with gambling games but honestly I wouldn't really spend that much time gambling, for me that's the way to go. It's best to get rid of the old rules and no one forces me to play.
