1061  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Situation in france problem on: July 02, 2023, 11:16:23 PM
I think the riots have a lot to do with the fact that the inhabitants of France who come from France Afrique, even if they are second or third generation, still resent the barbarities France did in Africa during colonialism, and in the case of the Muslims, who are the majority, they do not integrate into the Western way of life.

The case of the dead boy is of a 17 year old who had no driving licence, with a record for minor offences, including drug trafficking, and who was driving a top of the range Mercedes, on the run in the wrong lane.  As the previous colleague said, the police in Europe do not shoot as easily as those in the US, far from it. I don't justify the death though. Justice will have to look into the case and give a verdict accordingly.

The fact is that he was no angel and this has been taken advantage of by various movements to launch protests in the streets, which in many cases have involved looting and burning cars and street furniture.
Since when drug trafficking become minor offence? I'm not trying to justify what police did, but that guy was criminal, not some innocent kid. It's not good what happened, but it's likely that it could have ended much worse. What if he would have crashed into other car or pedestrians while running from police?

I think Macron relaxed immigration rules too much. France has fallen, the lawlessness is widespread & it does all seem to be a certain demographic. What I would say is that there is an open investigation into the death of the 17 year old boy. If the police acted in an illegal or unjust way then those responsible should be punished to the full extent of the law. The looting, vandalism, robbery & violence is inexcusable though, the young boy did not die for youths to rob Apple stores & designer clothes & handbag stores as I saw on the news. France needs to pull itself together fast before it gets even more out of control.
It's not mainly Macron's fault, it happned before he become president and it's problem in almost whole Western Europe in general. Most of responsibility goes to Merkel & co and their open doors policy in Europe. But yeah, Macron looks very weak during this crisis. Anyway, these things can't affect him much as in France president can't be elected for 3rd time.

So, I lost again without any chances. It looks that it's already time to change coach, but ok, this round will be last chance before cutting head.'

Round 5 questions are here!

To be totally honest, this was a week from hell. Getting 10 meaningful questions was really a hassle and if it was not for Wimbledon, we would postpone this round for sure.
Wimbledon is huge, so we tried to put something together. Let us know if you hate it, we want to know how to behave in situations like these in the future.

We hope that we found at least some interesting stuff for you and that you'll have some fun with not that familiar sports as well.
Seems that I waited until 1:30 AM this Sunday not without a reason Cheesy. Thanks for finally including question about women tennis. And f*cking DOTA again Cheesy Have zero knowledge about cricket, but from what I understand that Sri Lanka almost qualified, while second spot will be decided in Zimbabwe - Scotland game.
P.S. Little notice - it's not Aramco race, it's Brittish GP, Aramco is just sponsor name.

FIA released final classification of Austrian GP, there is lot of difference from results that we saw immediately after race, but Top 3 remains not affected.
Quote
1.    Max Verstappen
2.    Charles Leclerc
3.    Sergio Perez
4.    Lando Norris (up from P5)
5.    Fernando Alonso (up from P6)
6.    Carlos Sainz (demoted from P4)
7.    George Russell (up from P8)
8.    Lewis Hamilton (demoted from P7)
9.    Lance Stroll (up from P10)
10.    Pierre Gasly (demoted from P9)
11.    Alex Albon (penalty, but no movement in position)
12.    Zhou Guanyu (up from P14)
13.    Logan Sargeant (penalty, but no movement in position)
14.    Esteban Ocon (demoted from P12)
15.    Valtteri Bottas (up from P16)
16.    Oscar Piastri (up from P17)
17.    Nyck de Vries (demoted from P15)
18.    Kevin Magnussen (up from P19)
19.    Yuki Tsunoda (demoted from P18)
Well, it's simply ridiculous and as I said, they should find solution for it. Seems that putting gravel trap or higher kerbs isn't an option because of MotoGP.
1064  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: July 02, 2023, 07:33:20 PM
The strategy was probably a little mistake but I'm not sure about it, since Perez was going 1 second faster of Ferraris at that time.

Anyway, Sainz lost his podium for his faults with the track limits and the 5 seconds penalty.
It also looked a bit strange when they called both drivers to pits during VSC when they were so close to each other. And both these pit stops were such long, over 4 seconds. Sainz wasn't happy about this decision at all.

I agree that F1 getting more and more boring and personally I feel nostalgic about some old times but it is what it is. Yes, no one is happy with such uncompetitiveness, but this is something that is inherent in this sport. F1 is not just about piloting, it is also a competitive arena that includes teamwork, tools and business development performance.
During race I thought about era when Hamilton dominated - it was also boring but not that much. There was Rosber who gave fight for him or Ferrari who managed to stay in figh at least until summer break. And time from time we had other teams winning races, now we are seriously considering that Red Bull can win all races this season. But yeah, it's not problem of Red Bull that their competitors can't build car which would be able to fight with them
1065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euroleague 2022/23 Season on: July 02, 2023, 07:14:46 PM
Seems that Euroleague is losing their biggest stars. It was already confirmed that MVP Sasha Vezenkov is moving to Sacramento Kings, signing 3 years $20 million contract. Vasa Micic moves Oklahoma Thunder with 3 years $23.5 million contract. There is also rumour that Suns are interested in Mike James. It's sad reality of Euroleague that nobody can pay such money, while in NBA bench warmers can get such contract. And it's undertandable that Euroleague stars want to try themselves in NBA. They have nothing to lose and even if they will fail, they always can return to Euroleague.
After winning ACB league it already looked that Jasikevicius is going to stay in Barcelona, but they decided to not extend contract. Barcelona president Laporta gave good explanation of this decision, but it looks very strange who they choose as replacement. Roger Grimau - Barca legend as player who managed only their youth team so far.
1066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: July 02, 2023, 03:36:08 PM
Max dominance was such huge that he won race so comfortable even with extra pit stop that he made for fastest lap. And he was one of few drivers who didn't had problems with track limits. Finally good race for Perez - it was very needed for him.
But that thing with track limits is just ridiculous. There was just few drivers who didn't received black and white flags or penalty. Probably some changes need to be made on turn 10, especially considering that this track is going to stay in F1 until 2030 at least.
1067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: July 01, 2023, 11:32:06 PM
200 mBTC from Sportsbet is very generous offer, big thanks tor what they're doing. There was question about how many spots to award and I think that fewer places should be rewarded. 20 places awarded would significantly increase chance to win something, but I'm in for higher prizes. Especially when there is other chances to recover what you paid as sign up fee through prizes for yellow caps and weekly prediction contests.

100 people would be a frightening competition - because in this case, if you take a full random, then the chance of winning the yellow cap during the season would be 38/100 - quite small. On the other hand, by increasing the number of participants, the prizes would also increase and be even more attractive. Top 1 would get about 0.14 mbtc  Smiley
100 players would make prize pot even more huge, but I think that such number would be too big. Then chances to win something would become very tiny. Even winning weekly yellow cap would become very difficult task (not saying that's easy now Cheesy). So, I think that such huge pool would be less fun to play.
1068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | Champions League Pool ⚽️ Discussion Thread on: July 01, 2023, 07:47:52 PM
we are far from group stage, but next season of Champions league started few days ago with first qualifying round
interesting enough, four teams from lower end leagues are playing tournament to reach first qualifying stage, and Buducnost from Montenegro is playing against Breidablik from Iceland, on Iceland soil tomorrow, for a qualification spot

will be interesting season, onwards to it
As I predicted somewhere in othr thread, Breidabik was main favorite here and they had easy game against Buducnost. Game ended 5:0, but stats didn't show big advantage of Breidabik.
It's bad that there is no place to discuss qualifiers. In main megathread these things get lost in daily spam, that self-moderated topic seems to be dead and this topic probably isn't right place for such discussion.
1069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: July 01, 2023, 03:39:31 PM
It was one of best sprint races that we had in these 3 seasons. A bit of rain, wet track made it very interesting. Well, one thing doesn't changes - Max dominance. But his fight with Perez on first lap was nice to watch. It already looked that it was mistake for Hulkenberg to change on slicks, but in the end, he didn't lost anything, though didn't gained positions too. And that Russel overtake Ocon on finish line and 0.009 gap was cherry on top in this sprint.
No rain is expected on race tomorrow.
1070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: June 30, 2023, 07:45:30 PM
The qualifying session was quite interesting. Maybe there was no rain but it was still very exciting. Because I couldn't even count how many times the laps of drivers were removed. This was a nightmare session for Perez as well. Because he couldn't even make it to Q3 because of this reason. His lap time was removed a few times due to getting out of track by a slight margin.

Not only him but also many other drivers were out of track limits at the same place. The exit of the last turn turned into a nightmare for those drivers. I didn't understand why Perez wanted to use all the track and push that much in Q2. If he pressed the brake a little more it was still going to be enough for him to make it to Q3. This was completely his fault and Red Bull must be really disappointed with him again.
Removed lap times was biggest factor in today's qualifying. So many drivers were affected by it. Most unlucky was Perez who didn't even managed to get in Q3 again. Seems that he is really struggling to handle pressure that he got in recent weeks, very difficult time for him. Meanwhile Ferrari looks improved significantly.
Saturday will start with sprint qualifying and sprint race later on same day.

His daughter denied it, but I would not expect your media to relay that info

Then again, even if he is arrested, it just means Putin-Prigozhin "coup" show served the purpose I outlined here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5382794.msg62454125#msg62454125

LOL, what is my media? You have no idea completely what media I follow. I saw his daughter words and it doesn't proves anything. Especially when journalists asked Peskov about Surovikin, he avoided straight answer.
Anyway, I'm not pushing version that he was detained like it would be happned fact. BTW, if I'm not mistaken, version about detained Surovikin started to spread on Russian Telegram channels, not on ''my media''.
1072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on: June 29, 2023, 07:48:57 PM
Group F: France, Jamaica, Brazil, Panama
Brazil will have another chance after coming so close to winning it before but failed. They have a very experienced player and one of the best female football players ever "Marta" who is a big name in women football winning FIFA player of the year six times. She will provide a lot of experience for Brazil in the competition. Brazil will battle to secure qualify to next round together with France, but the other teams will not be easily defeated. Brazil have never won this competition, it could be their first.
It will be already 6th World Cup for Marta - what a legend. Offcourse, she isn't performing like she used to do 10 years ago, but her experience will be very important for Brazil. They should qualify from group, but they aren't seen among favorites to win title.
1073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: June 29, 2023, 07:40:56 PM
Coincidence or no, but after rumours about Perez future in Red Bull, today he become ill and missed media day, but he should be read to drive on Friday. It really might be illness, but it's also possible that he wanted to avoid media and their questions.

Rumor? Quite the opposite...
This information came from RedBull boss Helmut Marko, who told the Austrian newspaper Kleine Zeitung that Alpha Tauri will not only change its name but also its structure in 2024.
Apparently, this decision was due to the death of the brand's co-founder, Dietrich Mateschitz, which occurred in 2022.

AlphaTauri will have two new leaders, Laurent Mekies and Peter Bayer and will have new sponsors. I was curious, however, to know what this new name will be, but I think it hasn't even been defined yet.

Regarding the pilots, it is certain (at first) that Yuki Tsunoda and Nyck DeVries will be maintained, but it is not known until when, as the dissatisfaction with the performance of the Dutch pilot was highlighted.

Let's wait for more details.
From what I read they're not going to sell team, they planning to sell team name for sponsors. Something similar what Sauber is doing with Alfa Romeo. Mateschitz's son is against selling team as his father's vision was competing with 2 times.
1074  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: June 29, 2023, 07:25:46 PM
Wooops... Surovikin seems to have been arrested as being linked to the Wagner march to (near) Moscow. Quite interestingly someone has to pay for the shitstorm and this is the choosen one for the purpose. What a shame, he was quite incompetent and would have been the perfect (for Ukraine) general to take charge of the war of aggression in Ukraine.

Curious that when you are the weakest, you need to do this type of stuff.
Surovikin arrested might be another conspiracy theory, but it looks strange nobody didn't come with statement which would deny these rumours and he didn't appeared in public after mutiny.
It wouldn't be surprising if they will find him responsible for what happened last weekend. It would be strange if nobody will have to respond for it.

Meanwhile Putin (allegedly) is hugging people in Dagestan of all places, a bizarre departure from mile-long tables and week-long quarantines. Desperate for PR apparently.
We saw similar thing in Mariupol few months ago when Putin was shaking hands and talking with random people. Offcourse, it's possible that everything is staged - all these people were selected, checked and had to be in long lockdown before facing Putin. But these images makes version that Putin have clone look real.
1075  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: D'cent 50$ discount code on: June 28, 2023, 08:50:13 PM
$50 is huge discount, considering that wallet itself costs $139. I already have 2 hardware wallets what is more than enough for me, so, not going to take this one, but would be interesting to read review if someone will buy it.

Biometric hardware is dodgy at best. Even the Touch ID on my iPhone does not always recognize my fingerprints including when they are completely dry. So I don't see how an unknown hardware wallet is supposed to flawlessly detect your biometrics to unlock access to your wallet, considering that they're probably using cheaper parts than the kind of stuff found in smartphones.
That's good point. Even on flagship phones doesn't works smoothly when it come to recognizing fingerprints. Somehow I doubt that on this wallet it will work much better.
And closed source is big disadvantage, especially when it's not well known wallet with good reputation.
1076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 7000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: June 28, 2023, 07:55:07 PM
what happened between Spain and Lebanon, had to check the score several times, it is 102:20
man, I didn't expect from anyone to play as that, even USA won over China some 20+ difference, not by 82
France - Madagascar was also kind a massacre - 119-56 or 63 points difference. But I really can't recall team scoring 20 points at such level. After all, this is World Championship and Lebanon isn't worst team in basketball. How bad you should be to score 20 points in whole game, I think the me with my friends wouldn't do much worse Cheesy

I have been watching the game for a couple of minutes and I seriously can't even recognize Tsitsipas. I know that surface makes a difference, but that it can turn a player into a completely different player is difficult to grasp. Maybe he is gearing up his game now but so far it was the Tsitsipas on grass that most of us expected.
It seems that after Tsitsipas started relationship with Badosa, his performance went down so much. Can't believe it's coincidense.

@notblox1 I really don't even don't think Trofo is the one in charge of setting this question and as far Esports is concern it's almost synonymous to tennis, no average middle aged guy loves Tennis outrightly, but we are forced to learn more about them and all I can say after a couple of months of consistent viewership is that I'll definitely take some Alcaraz vs a below 30 ranked player now rather than watch Brighton vs Chelsea football come the regular football season, but still I barely put my money on Tennis because the odds and chance doesn't correlate in my opinion.
Don't know, I follow tennis with pleasure, though my knowledge doesn't helps much on BSFL. I often have turned on some tennis tournaments on TV in background during daytime when there nothing more doesn't happens. I even would like to see WTA tour questions sometimes. But I really hate esports and everything what is related with it - simply not my thing. And my answers to esports questions is more or less random - it's really difficult to make research when you don't undertand thing and have zero interest in it. But still, don't mind all these esports questions.

Did you guys hear the latest from Red Bull?  Helmut Marko said that they might consider Ricciardo as Perez's replacement if the former looks good at the tire testing after the British GP and if the latter's performance continues to dip.  Wink

It's funny cos the minute RBR got Ricciardo as their reserve driver, anybody who follows F1 would have an inkling that Perez's days are numbered.  Marko never really liked Perez judging from the way he talks about him.  He also said that RBR never intended for Perez to stay this long with the team.  :/
I think that Perez is getting to much hate recently. Yes, few recent races was terrible for him, but things can't be perfect always. C'mon, remember how he started season that there even was some talk that he can challenge Verstappen for the title. And he is one of reasons why Max got his title in 2021.
As much as I like Ricciardio, I doubt that he can perform much better than Perez.
1078  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: To Earn or to Talk, what is Your Role here on Bitcointalk? on: June 28, 2023, 07:20:45 PM
If your friend gave up simply because he wasn't getting merits, then he probably joined forum for wrong reasons. C'mon, it's discussion forum after all and not getting merits shouldn't be reason to stop discussing and leave forum. If he came here just to earn money and lack of merit doesn't allows him to do that, then probably better don't even start. It's nothing wrong if you want to earn some money here, but if you're trying to do it when you're not even interested in crypto, then we get such outcome.

To sum up, Learn before you can earn.
That's one of best phrases that I read here for a while.
1079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: June 27, 2023, 07:55:48 PM
It's a part of first qualifying round. You can read more here
https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/news/0282-183c882efef4-9b86299662cd-1000--champions-league-qualifying-explained/

There will be another match to come. These match gonna be deciding which club that will go to the first round of qualification. It's pretty much the same as play off.
It will be through an endless process. There will be another match to come soon.

Actually, it's preliminary qualifying round, first qualifying round will start after 2 weeks.
And today's games are going as es expexted. Buducnost won easy 3:0 against Atletic Escalades from Andorra, Breidabik is leading Tre Penn 3:1 at halftime. As I said somewhere in other topic, I see Breidabik as favorites to win this qualification.

OP, did you used AI to make that list of collaterals? I'm not sure which one of these things is good collateral. You're on Bitcoin forum and all these accounts with KYC verification isn't an option. Bank account, Coinbase and etc isn't an option here. Twitter account with 5000 followers don't have much value and I don't even know what is Rumble. Localtbitcoins? Are you aware that they don't work anymore.
If you really need to get loan, I suggest you to take closer look at lending board to see what is used as collateral here.
