1081  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: people die, bitcoin's immortality on: December 30, 2018, 03:18:45 AM
Bitcoin. There will only ever be 21 million bitcoins and 4 million have already been lost. The last bitcoin will be mined in 2040, 21 years from now.

Get your facts right, I guess will be around 2140 not 2040, so 121 years from now.
Since you stated the post with so flawed information so I did not read beyond first paragraph.

The main thing to consider which nobody is mentioning is, people die. People who own bitcoin and have never shared there private keys with anyone else, die.

People can put inheritance or use "Dead man's Switch". Anyways according to satoshi, each lost bitcoin increases the value of the existing bitcoin so do not worry about it.

1082  Other / Meta / Re: [Proposal] Alphabetical order for Stake your Bitcoin address here on: December 30, 2018, 02:33:37 AM
Quite surprised that till now only 3602 user staked the address. Please disregard my staked address because it is exchange address.
I will stake and sign with new address in new year.
Are you guys planning to update the address list weekly?
1083  Other / Meta / Re: Autoban on: December 30, 2018, 02:03:56 AM

I just sent a pm and downloaded the wallet.
Hope I get some coins, looks like a great project!
I will do what I can to help.
Thanks!

And I never suspected that these 4 lines are copy pasted. Now it look like the most stupid way to get banned.
My Google search do not yield any results (original + copy pasted) and I am again suspecting that suchmoon might reported the OP.
Read above that suchmoon reported that OP.
1084  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much did you make from gambling in 2018! on: December 29, 2018, 07:46:44 PM
No profit but not in loss also. I am even. Very occasionally, once in a month I put few bucks, even I lose all ,I do not regret that few bucks.
1085  Economy / Services / Re: Anyone can give me a job? or tell me any way to earn money? on: December 29, 2018, 05:46:00 AM

For me, out of all the listed skill only 2-3 are really employable, rest of them are bullshit and even school grader can do all of these.

# 10 on his skills list was web development service .  that is more harder than  his #2 and #3 skill , so do you think a grade schooler can do it  ?  hmmm i dont think so  .

I said 2 to 3 skills that are employable , I did not mean number 2 and number 3 from OP list.
,
For me, out of all the listed skill only 2-3 are really employable, rest of them are bullshit and even school grader can do all of these.
I little bit triggered with this, he offer something not cool such as number 6,7, 11 and 12. Rest of it are good in my opinion, campaign management service is not an easy job and there are good campaign manager in this forum and i bet you already know it, and if you called it bullshit, then it mean you call all of them bullshit.
I do not want to postmortem all his skills and you have no need to triggered by this.
If you start checking his skills (some are really shill) and some good but not backed by any evidence , I guess you will also get the same number.
1086  Economy / Speculation / Re: How to BUY BITCOIN at the "right" price on: December 29, 2018, 04:02:12 AM
secondly its more about a underlying value (below the speculative price) support. so it wont help you much predict the next speculative hype.

This is a good rule, along with "having a goal" for why you're buying bitcoin.

Our goal is simple, pull out the same or slightly higher amount of money put into bitcoin, anywhere in the world one day.

If we can do that, price doesn't matter too much day to day.

I think more we put speculation in price , more it become like gambling. I do not understand why we have lot of topic about the prices and almost no topics how to earn in bitcoin and spend in bitcoin.
All speculation still shows that people are not ready to leave the fiat system and just looking for place to dump their fiat so that they can get more fiat in future.
1087  Economy / Services / Re: Anyone can give me a job? or tell me any way to earn money? on: December 29, 2018, 03:17:38 AM
Plenty of threads pop up on here looking for bounty managers, see below:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5089830.0

And go to the content and it will look like that he has no intention of giving job to anybody or looking for someone free.

OP, why do not you try some translation job too, not only in this forum but outside of this forum too.

For me, out of all the listed skill only 2-3 are really employable, rest of them are bullshit and even school grader can do all of these.
If you are free then work on acquiring some more technical skills.
1088  Other / Meta / Re: Reporting ICO bounty spam on: December 28, 2018, 01:43:45 PM
Nothing personal OP but I have a question for you.

How the hell you got so much time to read through the 168 pages of a bounty thread?
1089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the most nonsensical invention in human history on: December 28, 2018, 02:35:15 AM
---snip ----

Very short answer to your whole theory:
1. Even those paper/debt certificate that you are claiming to own can be worthless as in case of Zimbabwe.
2. Bitcoin can be redeemed any day for those paper/debt certificate.

And Bitcoin is one of the advance technological product and you need to read below to understand this.

1092  Other / Meta / Re: Can we regulate the trust system ? on: December 27, 2018, 02:44:10 AM
Great, I can finally get double the amount of "Lauda gang" complaint threads. Roll Eyes

Do not worry, whatever the system in place, people will always complain.

I will simply say if we can create the system  that DT feedback will be applicable only if it supported by 2 other DTs.
That will make the system even more inefficient to the point where I bet DT members would stop tagging anyone.  What am I supposed to do when I find an account seller and want to tag him--drop a PM to another DT member to request that he cosign my negative trust?  Wait for a response and if the answer is no, then move on to another DT member?  What if I get scammed myself?  Am I then not allowed to leave a neg unless I have approval from someone else on DT?

You are still free to leave -ve and I like LoyceV suggestion that not every account (at least high ranked account) should be destroyed by single -ve or some personal issues with DT member.
It is also ok to leave soft warning as suchmoon suggested but I think it will not solve the purpose because a -ve rating will still be negative, does not matter how it displayed but if first negative rating changed to " ? ? ? " then it might serve as warning and everybody should be cautioned.

My personal belief is that when you are trading with someone then you need to check every feedback (trusted + untrusted) to make up your mind but unfortunately people are just guided by trusted feedback only. DT are human and can err in some case but why everybody is putting a blind eye to that feedback and making a de facto  standard. This is the reason I suggested 3 people cannot be wrong at same time.

Anyways in my belief, when you trade , you are supposed to use escrow and protect yourself and the responsibility to protect you from scam does not lie at DT at all.

That's a problem with signature campaigns, not with the trust system.
the problem is indeed with the trust system.

I believe the root cause of the problem is account value. Most of users in bitcointalk set some value of account in their mind based on the ranking of the account. That's why you see thread like if you are legendary/Hero or green trusted account I will go first (completely ignoring escrow) or will not deal with -ve trust account or below Member ranking. Moment you get -ve trust from DT the value of account change to zero and you lose many of the trade/earning opportunities exist in this forum.

Apologies. I've been dealing with some personal issues while focusing more on users and looking for a replacement lead developer.

Hope all your problem solve and good luck in finding a lead developer. I still drop by here just to check monthly progress and I interested to see how you use shoponomy, GOOD $ and GOOD tokens.

More interested in seeing in real how it works ,what I asked earlier.

1094  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You have exceeded the limit of 2 personal messages per day on: December 27, 2018, 01:20:55 AM
Wow - can we have an option to block messages from copper members?

My best guess is that OP might forget to wear the membership when he might trying to PM.
Now there is no update by OP here and I see OP is wearing the membership, I guess everything might be settled.
1095  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I start a new Faucet? on: December 27, 2018, 01:10:03 AM
You understood correctly , a simple idea is not always going to be converted into successful business until it is not executed with good planning.

Few of the technical difficulties I know about faucet business.

1. Bots draining out the faucet.
2. Not much advertisement available for revenue generation.
3. using coinhive in faucets might drive away user (No traffic to site.)

You need fraud detection algorithm so that your faucet is not abused and revenue/income generation methods so that you can remain in profit.

The correct board in this forum for gaining knowledge about faucet is Micro Earnings.
and I will also suggest you to visit https://faucethub.io to understand more because faucethub.io is confluence of faucet owner and faucet claimers.
1096  Other / Meta / Re: How to check validity of this newbie account on: December 26, 2018, 10:17:16 AM
Just improve your observation and you would be fine

My observation is fine but I am wondering if names can be misused later on.

Also, I dont think there are any rules preventing users to use any username they want.

That the whole point of this thread, should this be prevented by forum or it left to the user to be smart enough to understand than we still can have impersonator of famous personalities.

If real Nick is registering with his own name then I guess he will publish his key/signed message to confirm the identity. If he need to remain anonymous then there is no need to use his own name.

I think it should be prevented from forum but it will become burdensome for the forum.
End user should verify these things but I doubt that all of them will be that smart.
1097  Other / Meta / How to check validity of this newbie account on: December 26, 2018, 09:38:38 AM
Today while reading in this forum I come across a profile Nick Szabo.

Anyone who has read about Bitcoin/Ethereum technicalities should be already aware of who actually is Nick Szabo

I remember people putting -ve trust for their profile impersonation in this forum but this is much bigger because somebody impersonated the profile of famous cryptographer. (I really doubt that real Nick Szabo registering here in 2017.)

Is any policy in place so that we can be assured that we are not getting impostor profiles of these famous personalities.

Look like we have impostor for  Andreas Antonopoulos too.

1098  Other / Meta / Re: Can we regulate the trust system ? on: December 26, 2018, 05:08:08 AM
I will simply say if we can create the system  that DT feedback will be applicable only if it supported by 2 other DTs.

In this case at least we can stop/minimize the abuse in which people are tagged for saying "lemon".  I guess 3 people will not be having hatred for lemon simultaneously.

Same goes  for +ve feedback too, where people get +ve for doing a $10-20 trade, at least  you need to be trusted by at least by 3 people to get the +ve rating.

Since many of the DTs are inactive, we need to expand this network but at same time it need to be make sure that a single DT rating should not impact an individual.
1099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever been a restaurant server? Lets create a coin called T.I.P.S !!!! on: December 26, 2018, 03:07:19 AM
Ok so I want to start this off by saying IF you go out to eat at any (dining) restaurant and you do not tip. You are the worst kind of person on this planet! I want to also add that if your servers gives all out trash service I do not expect you to tip! But if you go out to eat and you recieve amazing service you should tip 20%.

Actually I did a research and find many of the restaurant are paying much than minimum wage and servers are relying on the tips only.

But what I did not understand.

1. How this unethical setup is so legal?
2. Why the burden (why that person is worst) is on some unknown person who will walk in and paying premium price on food?
3. Why/How people submit to exploitation scheme like this?

Instead of creating a TIPS ICO, if you come across something that will able to give at least a minimum wage for work then nobody will work for these restaurant on the wages they provide.
1100  Other / Meta / Re: About bitcointalk.org Registration system on: December 25, 2018, 04:42:00 AM
Hello, Bitcointalk's members

Today I will only share my personal Opinion about bitcointalk.org registration system.

bitcointalk.org registration system is too easy. There is no email verification system in the registration system. If there was an email verification system in registration then it will help us for stop creating fake accounts. Because I saw lots of fake accounts in the service section. They have only 1-3 activity. They create those account for doing only small tasks like survey tasks, Registration tasks etc.

Example link :
1. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5050824.msg46919848#msg46919848
2. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5079424.0

The problem you are trying to highlight will be simply solved if they requested for 50+ activity to be mandatory to take part in these survey/registration.
