[2018-02-01 21:56:52.413] Accepted client 6 share diff 45963207.4/400/1.97K: 000000000000005d7131f04834ff91223a962303d4b72ed8df802bd0b44e8009 Saw this in the log of the proxy. Is this a "close" share? I saw recent blocks are have 4 additional 0000? Do you think diff 45963207 is close to 2603077300218? I know is low Diff share. But is that how block is found when hash has additional leading 0's? The more leading 0's closer to block for that share alone? I thought it is possible to find block at any Diff? no? - Luck? It's closer yes, but a very very long way away. That is indeed how you find a block, but you need a shitload more zeroes and it's possible though unlikely. Hashrate first and luck second is how you find one.

So.. does this look right? I think I'm hashing away! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) { "hashrate1m": "13.3T", "hashrate5m": "13.5T", "hashrate1hr": "7.46T", "hashrate1d": "440G", "hashrate7d": "63.8G", "lastshare": 1517518697, "workers": 2, "shares": 9008586, "bestshare": 8294237.55550756, "bestever": 8294237, "worker": [ { "workername": "1PvVLNAcsWXk7gCZjUyH1cLpQXXYFKcFTQ", "hashrate1m": "13.3T", "hashrate5m": "13.5T", "hashrate1hr": "7.46T", "hashrate1d": "440G", "hashrate7d": "63.8G", "lastshare": 1517518697, "shares": 9008586, "bestshare": 8294237.55550756, "bestever": 8294237 } ] } Please try and include stuff like that in code tags as I've done in your quote. Yep, looks good, good luck!

sorry guys, MRR switched my rigs to kano during the outage and never switched back and i didn't even know about it. just noticed the hash rate drop now and had to switch the rigs back manually.
Best news I've heard all day, have a merit point ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

I've been playing around with the website and flask to see if I could build something. It's only a start... http://35.196.38.106/Thanks for that. I hate to tell you this, but it's funny, someone else has already been working on an interface and they've made more good progress so I don't want to see you duplicate work. Hold off doing anything else with it as hopefully I should have something to put up soon. This? http://ckpool.org/test.htmlNo, not that. Much more featured.

The pool is choosing the diff. That config only affects local mining to the proxy. I setup a full node and bitcoind I will look into setting up a small private pool at a later date once I learn what I have now. What has that got to do with the solo pool which this thread is for?

Working now, Very happy! Thanks for the help setting up. I notice SPM seems really low what settings are best for this in config. Pool:{"SPS1m": 1.44, "SPS5m": 1.45, "SPS15m": 1.25, "SPS1h": 1.06} @ 2.5TH "mindiff" : 1, "startdiff" : 42, "maxdiff" : 0, Should edit this? or pool will select for each miner? or is there calculation to set perfect diff for speed? You're not running a whole pool so why would you expect your SPS to be high? Just leave it at defaults, the proxy code will work it all out for you.

Only way to learn is to watch for someone who never used Linux before and being new to this I would like to log output to view it.
Do I need ckdb for this logging as I installed with the --without flag and logs folder seems to be protected.
Sorry for many questions.
Nope, ckdb serves no purpose for a proxy and is defunct in the codebase anyway, being disabled by default since it has no public maintainer any more.

When I used other proxy I see info like this
proxy client_service.handle_event # New job 5a71009a00000337 for prevhash 32f68c23, clean_jobs=False 2018-01-31 12:02:39,645 INFO proxy stratum_listener.submit # [171ms] Share from '16Ev9GsHwwv5ycdvkWdHuDHCQmLuPzpqRk' accepted, diff 4000 2018-01-31 12:03:03,272 INFO proxy stratum_listener.submit # [173ms] Share from '16Ev9GsHwwv5ycdvkWdHuDHCQmLuPzpqRk' accepted, diff 4000
Is there way to see this output from ck proxy?
In the logs in logs/ckproxy.log You can follow the log continuously on another console with If you want more verbose data with logging of every share stupidly like that, you can start ckproxy in verbose mode with -l 6

Is there a way to display the output from proxy with argument when launching?
The hashrate shows on the command line where you started the proxy. What output were you expecting?

Did they have a good story of why? One time a snow plow took out the data center at our local college for about 12 hours by crashing into a telephone pole.
Nope, I'm afraid not. Still awaiting an explanation, somewhere from Cogent, not my hosting provider.

There appears to be a datacentre outage at the pool, sorry about any inconvenience. Waiting on support now.
It seems to be coming back now, and the pool was running unabated consistent with a network outage. Did you ever find out what caused the outage? Main datacentre connectivity, which is why both the solo pool and this pool were affected.

I have built the ck software up and launched it with. I pointed my miners at the ip of the VM but no connection is showing. netstat -p Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address State PID/Program name tcp 0 0 192.168.88.128:36924 destratum.ckpool.o:3333 ESTABLISHED - tcp 0 0 192.168.88.128:50718 45.59.68.74:3333 ESTABLISHED ckproxy.conf { "proxy" : [ { "url" : "de.ckpool.org:3333", "auth" : "BTCaddress", "pass" : "x" }, { "url" : "solo.ckpool.org:3333", "auth" : "BTCaddress", "pass" : "x" } ], "update_interval" : 30, "serverurl" : [ "192.168.88.128:3334", "127.0.0.1:3334" ],
I missing a step somewhere? See the port you have configured on your proxy is 3334?

That's for normal pools. This is the solo pool where you get all or nothing. Can you a little better explanation. So that means if connect s9 antminers on the solo pool I will not get daily money but will have a chance to solo got 12 BTC if find chain block. Are there is no way to get both? bump, any answer please. Are have the way to get both regular earning and chain block? Mine in 2 pools instead of just this one.

We lost WETSUIT...he is over to help Kano get a block...
I'm sure he's enjoying that, schadenfreude and all that. But it's not like I can force people to mine here. He dropped off with the datacentre outage and never came back. Not sure if it's just a failover mechanism that has to be manually switched back or whether he's had enough and gone running - which is unlike what he had said in the past about mining here. He constitutes over 85% of the current hashrate so his hashrate would be sorely missed, though he'll still get a massive reward on our next block find, whenever that is.

25 PH? only in my dreams. What is the average hash rate per user (= total pool hash rate / number of user)? to get an idea thanks

Hi All,
From practical point of view, What is the minimum hash rate do I need to be able to join the pool?
Thank you
A 300MH usb stick. You'll never find anything, but I won't stop you. I agree, but I mean What is the minimum hash rate that will put me in competitive mode? You're only competing with yourself. I recommend 25PH if you want to find regular blocks.
