1081  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Recovery - Send your (encrypted) recovery phrase to 3rd parties entities on: October 27, 2023, 10:10:40 AM
On a serious note, this does bring up an interesting question. What happens if someone cancels their automated payment for Ledger Recover? Will they destroy the seed phrase from their storage and all their backups? I find that hard to believe, and you can't know for sure. Or will they just keep your seed phrase, but deny you acces if you ask for it? Or will they just charge you a much higher "manual recovery fee" when you need it? Either way, I'm not going to find out Tongue

That occurred to me as well. What if someone is really late with a payment and has not cancelled the service, will Ledger itself be charged from the funds in the wallet?
It's a pity that we will never have reliable information on how many users have really decided to pay for this service, but I think it will be a complete fiasco.
1082  Economy / Reputation / Re: Advertised services and participants in a paid sig campaign on: October 26, 2023, 11:06:32 PM
The solution for BenCodie: Don't join gambling signature campaigns, if you really hate gambling and think it's harmful. Otherwise, you would inevitably contribute to be "harmful" as well by wearing that paid signature.  Cheesy
Only join a campaign, where you agree with the advertised service.
And that's exactly, what CryptopreneurBrainboss pointed out in his topic.  Smiley

Don't join the Mixer signature campaign either Cheesy
About BenCodie, he seems to have a history of conflicts with his signature, there is another similar crazy episode with whirlwind.money mixer and their signature. He stated that he knew it was a scam (though in the end, whirlwind didn't hurt anyone, at least not here on the forum and their escrow is still active). However, at some point, he applied to the signature campaign because he has nothing against the scammers while paying him to wear their ad in signatures. At least until the scam is proven.
1083  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ratimov is deleting self-moderated topics. He now goes onto my Ignore list. on: October 26, 2023, 09:58:17 PM
Hm. This is getting interesting. But if he wants to fix his mistakes, it's okay. However, he didn't really need to delete those topics since moderators already give him a pass and no ban for the thing he did. About mods helping him to delete these things, I guess he is tricking mods to do their job. He is deleting everything first and then making it like a spam post that is needed to delete. So, I am not sure if I can blame the mods about it.

Now I am sure that he had no intention of fixing things because of his mistake. If he ever said that he wanted to fix things, he only did it for his benefit. At some point, he offered a "truce", apologized to the community and GazetaBitcoin for the offensive words, and withdrew his feedback given to Gazeta.
We can only guess why he deleted that post https://ninjastic.space/post/63041115
However, immediately after Gazeta wrote that he would not withdraw his feedbacks, there was instant revenge and neg tagging again. If you want to sincerely apologize or forgive someone, it must be unconditional.

I saw revenge feedback on BitcoinGirl.Club added later  Embarrassed That's not how things get fixed.

There is no reason for a self moderate topic to exist. I think this feature should just be removed. No one, except a moderator, should be able to delete someone else posts.

Oh, this feature is needed. The thing is in the way of use, like anything else. If two kids stab each other with pencils, it doesn't mean that pencils are unnecessary and only bring bad things.
1084  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Recovery - Send your (encrypted) recovery phrase to 3rd parties entities on: October 26, 2023, 06:04:20 PM
i also read about the 'recover start' yesterday. what i find even more outrageous is that Ledger charges the user €10 for this service (after the first month is free) from the second month on.
will advise everyone in my circle of acquaintances and also here in the form against this service!

I assume that because of the company's image, they didn't want to give up the "recover" implementation ignoring all negative public reactions.

I'll lower my offer too:
Hey, I can compete with this! For only $8.99 $6.99 per month I'll keep a backup of all your seed phrases, and I guarantee you that if your funds ever gets lost, I'll blame you and you won't get €50,000 from me! Still not convinced? Unlike Ledger, I've never leaked full address data of millions of my customers. How's that? Cheesy

I sent you my seedphrases in DM, can you reply with the deposit address to pay for the first month?
Also, I am interested in the case that if I skip one month with the payment, will I lose my coins?
1085  Economy / Services / Re: [banned mixer] Mixer Review#2| 6mBTC+50% OFF | Bonus 10mBTC & 10% OFF for ALL! on: October 26, 2023, 05:47:03 PM
  • At the footer of the homepage, I saw the "X" icon, I didn't know what is was doing there until I clicked it and discovered it is a close icon. It will be fine that you use the word "CLOSE" in red colour as the icon doesn't sooth there. It looks like a social media handle icon.
This "X" is a new Twitter logo, and here on the Tumbler site, it does not have the function of closing the page. I just checked it myself on a mobile device and clicking on the X takes me to the [banned mixer] Twitter account. Maybe it confused you because a new page opens automatically when you click, that is, the Twitter application.
Just close it and you will be returned to the [banned mixer] site.
1086  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto News Site Created Recently on: October 26, 2023, 02:52:48 PM
Before any publication, you need to do the basic setup. With SSL implementation, your redirects are not properly configured, so the page with the www prefix is not available.
It really shouldn't be a difficult task, almost any beginner can set it up. See on Amazon where you host the site about DNS settings or you can use the .httaccess file

For example, add the file to the root named .httaccess with this inside

Code:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.thisCrowd.com [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://thisCrowd.com/$1 [L,R=301]

Whose are the texts that you have published on the site? Yours, copied from somewhere or generated by AI?
1087  Economy / Reputation / Re: Question about signature campaigns - paid advertising, or personal endorsements? on: October 26, 2023, 11:21:23 AM
If a bitcointalk user is wearing a paid signature for a service, should readers view them as either personal endorsements from that bitcointalk user?

Yes, of course. The moment you enter the signature of a business, you become part of it. You don't have the power to make decisions, but you are certainly some kind of representative. Don't the managers select the participants by selecting the best offered? Probably because the owners want the best users to represent them.

What I think is a more interesting question, is how many users actually do any research about campaign owners before applying for a sig. campaign. It's a bit disappointing when I see a user in a well-paid campaign, who doesn't even know about ANN or has never visited the website of the service they promote.
icopress started encouraging campaign participants to test the service they are promoting
Therefore, please note that I will periodically ask you for favors, and please treat my words with understanding and seriousness, (for example, to begin with, I would like each of you to test MixTum and share your experience).
1088  Economy / Services / Re: [HIRING] Utopia P2P - Channel Moderators 📢📢📢 on: October 25, 2023, 11:54:36 PM
Perhaps there is a logical explanation for the public disclosure of the salary, but the necessary knowledge and experience should be stated as a condition. I believe that the inbox is full of applications, everyone would like to get paid for chatting.

I don't want to work in something outside my field, so I'm waiting for a response from @joeperry for this post. Will there be no information provided here? Or should I head directly to Telegram?
Can you add more information about the required skills, experiences, or at least what the person will do during 7 days a week, 8 hours a day?
The average payment per month? Will it be in Bitcoin?

It seems that the payment rate here is very flexible. Based on this, it can be from $100 to $1000 per month.
Quote
The exact pay will be discussed individually with each person, but they assure it'll be a fair amount for where you live.
1089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VIVO - Masternodes, ASIC-Resistant, Secure, High MN Rewards, Decentralized on: October 25, 2023, 11:46:06 PM
New wallet specifications:

- Latest version of Dash upgrade
- PoW/PoS, Masternodes
- Maximum Supply: 16 million
- Block Time Average: 1 minute
- Starting Block Reward: .1 VIVO decreasing by 10% every year
- Masternode collateral: 1,000 VIVO
- Reward Distribution: 50% to Masternodes/ 40% to PoW / 10% to PoS
- Premine: 800,000 VIVO to CircuitBreaker for development fund and securing network, 400,000 VIVO to WaveMan to develop gaming studio via the "Vivo Platform"

We will make a separate announcement for when the new wallet is released. In the meantime, keep mining those VIVO, you won't be able to get them soon! Another announcement will be coming soon regarding the "Vivo Platform".

We have made some minor revisions to the new wallet which we think will benefit the longevity of the Vivo network for years to come.

Maximum Supply: 20 Million
Block Time Average: 2 Minutes
Starting Block Reward: 1 Vivo decreasing by 25% every year

Please note these revisions will be applied to the new wallet after it’s release and does not effect the current wallet.

What is final here, 16 or 20 million maximum?

I think I still have the wallet file with Vivo coins somewhere.
This wallet change, does this mean that the old wallet.dat remains compatible with the new version or will a swap or some kind of exchange be required?
Who knows, maybe I could start a masternode.
1090  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Risk/AML score on: October 25, 2023, 11:27:38 PM
However, I find that the AML score gives different and varied results from one service to another. Are these results accurate, especially since most of them are generated by artificial intelligence? Can it be relied upon to bring charges or acquit people, since they may lead to criminal charges, or is this not possible as they are based on random results or inaccurate.

Here is a proposal to make senseless of these AML bots, specially created with the help of AI.
It is necessary to create several Anti-AML bots (with the help of AI, of course). Their basic function would be to check the validity of the results of AML bots and the algorithms by which they make calculations. And based on that they give them a score rating.
Then, for example, AMLbot gets a rating of 2.6 out of 10 or amlcrypto.io get 4.2 out of 10.
1091  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Transaction fee in chart expressed in Bitcoin not USD, any tool? on: October 25, 2023, 11:12:50 PM
Use mempool.space.
It shows the median and the minimum and maximum fee rate used in a block.

That's what I'm using right now, but I'd like a simpler solution if I need to go back a day or more.

Does Bitcoin block data available in CSV format have what you're looking for? You may need to add some spreadsheet magic.

Yes, I need a lot of magic there.

I was thinking something like this https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/bitcoin-transactionfees.html#3m
But as I said, the value expressed in satoshi, and not only the average daily value but all the changes during the day.
1092  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [banned mixer] | Best Bitcoin Mixer | Extra Layer of Privacy by XMR Bridge on: October 25, 2023, 10:42:58 PM
If you need verification then it's better for you not to use a mixer at all.

Of course. Verification and mixer cannot go together.
If at the end of the process, there is no link to the previous coins, why would anyone ask for verification that the XMR bridge was used?
1093  Economy / Services / Re: [banned mixer] Mixer Review#2| 6mBTC+50% OFF | Bonus 10mBTC & 10% OFF for ALL! on: October 25, 2023, 10:36:20 PM
[banned mixer] Mixer Review Program #2
Bitcointalk username: examplens

I looked at your reports about the changes you implemented and possibly those you don't want to change, which were suggested in the previous review campaign. So I won't go back much on the already mentioned problems here.
I also understood that you give priority to suggestions, so I won't deal with much, we praise what I am satisfied with. And there are a lot of good things here  Wink

Website design and usability

- I noticed that you do not have a custom error 404 page created, as part of an SEO strategy it is desirable to have that.
- I won't dwell too much on this, but I would like to see a bit more contrast in the dark mode
- Is there a possibility to add a paste from the clipboard button in this address box? I think it would make it easier to use, especially for users with mobile devices. (you already have a copy from the clipboard button in the deposit address field)

- A similar option copy transaction ID in clipboard would be welcome in order review if someone still wants to check their transaction further

- I would add a fee calculator on the fee page. The calculator is available only after starting the mixing process and solving the captcha, so why not make it available to new visitors who want to first research all about your service.
- Hint clouds are a bit complicated, actually their closure. If you open two or more, they must be closed only in the reverse order, and only by clicking on the question mark icon. I tried this on a mobile device as well, it could have become almost frustrating.

- I would add in the FAQ that the mixing time starts from the moment of the first confirmation. It seems banal, but for example, the fee varied quite a bit during my process, so the first confirmation came with a lot of delay. Even though your timer works almost perfectly, I wouldn't be surprised to see someone complaining about the delay of your service, while sending Bitcoin at 2 satoshis per byte.
- I am surprised that you maintain the position that a thread on Bitcointalk is sufficient for support. This is one of the good solutions, but if a potential new user gets stuck with a problem, he has to go through registration on the forum (which he may not have wanted). But what if he encounters an additional problem with registration on the forum, he will feel cheated. It is a very realistic scenario, you can find out more here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5350381.0
- Support chat looks fun, I like it, but as a solution, it seems slow. For example, I sent a request and received a uniform response that I might have to wait 12 hours. If I have a problem and my funds are stuck with you, I might start to panic. Of course, I won't sit next to the chat for 12 hours, but what if someone calls while I'm away, I'll wait for 12 hours again.
- So, one more support channel is probably mandatory.
- Set up a Twitter account or remove it from the page.

Mixing

- For the first mixing, I used the Opera One(version: 103.0.4928.34) browser
- I used Basic security level, and P2SH as the final destination address
- I think I already suggested this. Without downloading the letter of guarantee, it should not be possible to continue the whole process. I'm sure some don't understand the importance of that.
- In the whole process, I did not come across any unclear steps and everything went without any ambiguities.

- Although it's not a big deal, Blockchair found a privacy issue (I saw that you already shared their report)

Quote
Matched addresses identified
Using several indicators we were able to link the similar types of addresses involved in this transaction. We identified which of the recipient addresses possibly belong to one or more senders. Such matching significantly reduces the anonymity of addresses.

- Of course, I did the second mixing using the TOR site
- Now, I use the PREMIUM security level, using two deposit addresses, one bech32 and one taproot.
- I used the mixing code obtained in the previous review campaign and after checking, I did not manage to find a connection with my previous coins, nor in the other transaction.
- Although it is a premium level, I still expected a higher level of anonymity. It is very easy to connect that I received bitcoins from the same source at both addresses. This needs to be improved.

- I'm not sure if it's because I put too short a time gap between the two addresses for the deposit delay. Maybe I should try again, the first transaction to be after 30 minutes and the second after 70 hours. Would that change the matter? If this has an impact, you should mention it during mixing or at least in the FAQ section.
- I think I saw your statement somewhere that you will use all types of addresses to increase the level of anonymity, but on your side, I didn't notice you using any other than bech32. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

I can't resist the feeling that I forgot to write something.  Embarrassed When I remember, I will probably continue in the ANN thread

It was really fun for me to participate in your campaigns, I hope you got useful suggestions.
Good luck with your business.
1094  Economy / Service Discussion / Transaction fee in chart expressed in Bitcoin not USD, any tool? on: October 25, 2023, 04:21:48 PM
In some analyses, I need to know the TX fee for each block from the previous period. Of course, expressed in sat/vB.
Is there a tracking tool like this? Manually can be tiring
Everything I've found is in US dollars, which isn't very helpful to me, especially when there's huge volatility in the value of Bitcoin like the last few days. Plus, all known charts (at least to me) only have an average value for a specific day, and that's not very helpful to me.
1095  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ratimov is deleting self-moderated topics. He now goes onto my Ignore list. on: October 25, 2023, 01:05:27 PM
There were several criticisms here for the too-frequent opening of new threads to celebrate his achievements on the forum, plus plagiarism charges. He obviously wants to remove all references, at least those under his control.
It doesn't bother me personally that he deleted a few of my posts. Still, with everything from GazetaBitcoin's thread a bit disappointing from someone who is really trying to build a reputation here.

So basically he moves his topics to archive, deletes his own posts from the topic, then the replies for those posts by others become irrelevant, and finally he reports the entire topic to the moderator to delete the whole topic.

In doing so, he moved some of them to the Russian local board.  Undecided For example https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5379199
1096  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should Ratimov be in DT1? on: October 25, 2023, 11:25:33 AM
I wouldn't participate in any voting or elections if I know that results won't significantly change anything.
First improve DT system, than ask people to join or leave.

LoyceV is right, what you claim is completely contradictory. If we're talking about improving the forum, it's completely wrong to say, do something, and if I think it's good, I'll be a part of it. If all those who have the capacity to improve something are excluded, who can be expected to do it?

1098  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 2023 List Bitcoin Mixers Bitcoin Tumblers Websites on: October 25, 2023, 09:48:27 AM
For 99.999% of mixer users, these commissions are not available, since such transactions are rare.

But there is still a possibility to get a discount on the basic 0.4%, so this information is correct.
Maybe LeGaulois can add some kind of footnote for such cases. Just enough for users to be informed that it is necessary to fulfil certain criteria for the lowest fee.

This reminds me of the ads on TV that show prices and then find out that in order to get that value, the buyer has to meet a lot of conditions.

I totally agree with you on this, I'm not a fan of "up to" offers.
1099  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 2023 List Bitcoin Mixers Bitcoin Tumblers Websites on: October 25, 2023, 08:25:59 AM
0.2% can only go to those who were given a tumbler-code with a 50% discount, that is, the winners of various competitions that were held on this forum. For all, the minimum level is 0.4%.

Low fees, i.e. discounts up to 50%, not exclusively as a reward for forum users it is available to everyone under certain conditions. Additional discounts can be obtained depending on the total amount you mix through the service.

Here are the tables https://[banned mixer]/fee
