1081  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Answer this Gambling Question on Duration of Joy after a win or loss on: December 30, 2023, 09:45:28 PM
No one enjoys losing in gambling.Losing brings our hopes down, it ushers in emotional pain and grumpiness whereas, winning elevates our mood, bringing happiness and excitement. There are games where I have won and after withdrawing my winnings, I am so happy that I give gifted some of it to people around me. This doesn't last for long once the it is out of my hands and minds. I am curious, how long does this joy last after a win or a loss—does it linger until your next bet, lasting the whole day, just 20 minutes, or perhaps 2 hours?

The best healer is (time),  take time off after every session to either enjoy your winning or moon your losses,  but regardless of what the feelings are,  it's all fads away with time and the next time will surely come.

Time heals regardless of which direction you use the time,  be it for you or against you, sometimes this scenario always plays out with me,  when I lose I just tell myself that the pain will go away with time,  and truly as time passesasses days roll by I forget the pain and develop a thicker skin,  same also wit when I win,  at first I will be all excited and as time goes on the excitement die down and there be need to play some more.
1082  Economy / Gambling / Re: Responsible gambling on: December 30, 2023, 09:26:03 PM
I did say that nothing is wrong in trying to recover from a loss, but the thing is, gamblers must learn to do it responsibly, I say this because, even in business, people lose, and because of that loss, they are forced, or they force themselves rather, to work harder in other to recover that money which they have lost, so they can return their business to being in profit again.

Same thing can apply to gambling even though I understand that gambling cant and shouldn't be compared to a business since gambling is not a money making venture, but still, we all can't deny the fact that we do have many gamblers whom making money off gambling is their major goal, so, for such people, trying to recover what one have lost is not such a bad thing to do, it is what makes gambling even more fun and entertaining, that is, not allowing yourself to be beaten. But then, in the quest  to recover what is lost, we must do it with all responsibility, and strategically in such a manner it doest lead into more loses out carelessness.
The thing is that loses happens and we need to try the best we can to avoid letting it get to us,  to the point that it will put us under pressure to recover,  and this is why we always advocate to only gamble with what you can afford to lose only,  so if you are gambling with such mentality in place,  you don't have any problem at all if and when the lises comes.

But just as you said,  it is not a bad thing to try to recover from your loses,  but in doing so there must be some level of procedures and total avoidance of pressure,  Because that is the only way a gambler can truly escape the chain of losses when trying to recover from one.
1083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cristiano Ronaldo get 1 billion dollars lawsuit for his NFT failure on: December 30, 2023, 09:12:51 PM
The problem in this case is that investors should be aware of what they expect by investing in NFTs because in the end this only goes back to the collection not to others than most even though there is Cristiano's name behind them as one of the soccer players or perhaps the most highlighted athlete in terms of popularity today still we should not expect too much in this case.
Besides, if we are talking about Investment then we should know the risks that we will face especially to be in NFTs because after all this will be very much more risky for now except maybe for the previous few years where the NFT hype was still very high maybe this can also be considered.

I am not trying to defend Cristiano's name in this regard but when it comes to Investments, the decision is ours to make and that does not mean that just because Cristiano entered into a partnership for the manufacture of his NFT millik when it does not match the purchase price then we can sue because there was no compulsion to buy in the first place.
First those investors have a very wrong mentality about NFTs and this is why many of them have fallen victim to so many of those promising NFTs collections, the problem with most cryptocurrency investors is that,  the take those projects too serious and at they become so greedy to the point that they point high hopes in those projects,  this situation is a bad one and the approach has ended up disappointing many of them in recent time.

Just like in this case,  why should one invest in a coin just because you saw a prominent figure in society promoting it,  without checking to know what the actual team behind that project is,  this is a very sorry situation and in the long run, there may not have anything on the footballer as long as this case is concerned.
1084  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inflation and crypto gambling on: December 30, 2023, 08:53:41 PM
Despite the very try that global inflation has affected the price of many things around the world,  some are very pronounced while others may be silent on this, but the general economic atmosphere has exhibited a lot of stress out from inflation in the price of basic goods,  and lottery tickets are not spared in the negative impact,  while some companies may not increase the price, there have also decrease values,  e.g some lottery companies in my country have not increased the price of the lottery tickets,  but they have reduced the total amount in rewards for winners compared to what those jackpot winners used to receive before.

But then casino operators have their term template for how they want to run their sites and for sure if there is any increase which is above %100 it then means that the lottery company is already going way above the current inflation ratio.
1085  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling and religious restrictions on: December 30, 2023, 08:29:30 PM
Let's settle on one fact about law and culture or religion, this three principle governs the physical elements of the people and this law or culture differs from place to place and is based on individuals' beliefs,  that is why you find gamblers even in a non-gambling regions but they are left to provide for the security and enhance the privacy if not when cash up with the laws,  it will take it cost and the individuals will be punished for that,  so we want the surprise to see individual gamblers violating either their states laws or even religion laws,  just to cash fun.

Why most of them find cryptocurrency as the best means of transaction while gambling,  is because of the core feature of cryptocurrency which is privacy and security,  so this made cryptocurrency to be the most preferred for those in that region and in such conditions.
1086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online or offline gambling which is more safer? on: December 30, 2023, 07:52:13 PM
The impact of addictions are the same at all times and for sure both online and offline casinos carry the same level of risk and impact depending on the individuals involved

Addicts will always find his way around d making a top-up and keep playing because he is not in control of his emotions regardless if he has a bank card or even physical cash in him,  this is no basis,  so if we want to discuss the topic we have to break it away from each other so that we can avoid mixing up things and we talk along the line,  but then when you mentioned addictions,  majority of us will already have the mindset of an uncontrollable gambler.
1087  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will it give fuel to skyroket for btc ? on: December 30, 2023, 07:40:30 PM

I do agree that Nigeria being a bit more open to bitcoin did definitely helped a lot. People forget the difference between a nation that has money versus a nation that has rich people. Nigerians on average may not be all that rich, but they do have a lot of money in that nation and a lot of population, which means, when you combine them all together as a nation, that becomes a huge amount of money, sure a single investor may not be as rich as an American for example, unless it's a rich Nigerian, but when they combine together, they make a big difference.

This is why it's quite important to remember that when you are dealing with these type of things, you are going to end up with something that would benefit everyone all together.
And that is the most important feature of Bitcoin the ability for everyone to have bits and keep exploring the industry via knowledge and practical involvement,  indeed Bitcoin have served millions of Nigerians mostly youths who sees the opportunity as a golden chances for them to involve in a technology that gives freedom from third-party involvement and privacy,  this is opposites of what we used to have with the Nigeria before cryptocurrency,  where the weight of the nations and access to advance technology is only given to the rich and privileged ones.

But the narrative has changed and even when the central bank tries to impose on the rights of the youths who are the major Bitcoin adopters we never give up on the use of P2P Nigerians still found they're way around until recently when the central bank gave a reverse order,  against banks inter cryptocurrencies transaction,  although the motivations are no longer there to use banks any more but the good news is that,  Bitcoinairs in Nigeria can now freely identify with the technology and own them at will and not just hide and sick thing.
1088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In The Span Of six months what will make you trust a new casino on: December 30, 2023, 07:30:28 PM
For me,  six months is still very small to know the real character pf a new project,  we should give the mat least a year or two to be able to see their true colour because of a casino really mean to manipulate their ways,  their could go for six months faking things
You forget a casino with the intention to scam its users can play the long con and stay for two years before pulling the plug. These ones are the scammers that rake the big pots, because they have more users gambling hugely on their casinos. If a casino ticks all my boxes namely the ones listed in the OP, I would have no problem trusting them. Do not be mistaken my friend, I’m not trusting blindly but cautiously.
I forgot to mention the masters in the games of scamming this one can stay for a very long time and obviously time it is the gamblers that should look out for them to avoid failing as victims if not there are online such scam casinos that already made attempts in this forum to promote their platform but with the help of forum users we were able to exposed and dispose them out of the forum,  although their site is still live and operational up until now,  for that gambler need to look out for such casinos and avoid them no matter what the offer they bring to the table.
1089  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you want to see in casino reviews? on: December 30, 2023, 07:18:40 PM
It would be better if there were real reviews from real gamblers. If the users are real then the feedback will be real too whether the feedback is positive or negative. If you write it yourself then the reviews might not be perfect.
I think we can achieve that if a casino will run a review campaign in a reliable platform like bitcointalk. At least know know those user hat will give a feedback and if we trust their reputation, we would believe that what they are saying is true. Probably that's the reason why some casinos had run a review campaign in the forum and campaign managers made sure to hire users that are reputable as well.

Well, the main problem or obstacle I see with that approach is that having review campaigns in this forum may certain my help for the administrators of the casino to improve their service and attract people who already participate in this forum to try their casino, but carrying out a review campaign here won't help much to catch the attention to gamblers who are outsiders of this forums and still consider themselves to be gamblers.
If someone who does not use this forum tried to find review webpages for casinos (or any service in general) this forum won't appear among the first results in the search engine, people will stumble first with webpages like Trustpilot (which are not as reliable, because of factors I have already mentioned some posts ago).
That is why we can see there is a big investment by casinos to get advertisement in services like Blockchain explorers and sometimes even in the webs of wallet providers or sellers of gift cards, they need to appeal to the average cryptocurrency user without only depending on reviews done with subsections of forums like this one. Whether we like it or not, this forum is not so attractive or massive as other social media are, this is a format one needs to get used to before fully engaging with.  Tongue
You are very correct with that Hispo because the forum is not a review platform even though what makes up for the forum reviews are the raw pour element and materials in the form of feedback and reflections of the experience of real gamblers, since if you search for reviews,  platforms like Trustpilot and the host of the other review platforms will show up,  and these platforms review even lack the real factual ingredients that make up for a %90 pour review work.

But then forum reviews still serve us the members of the forum and other forum visitors who may stumble on the forum one way or the other,  there are lots of channels through which information is calculated so we shouldn't give up I the tiniest means of information.
1090  Economy / Gambling / Re: Trustdice: Terrible sportsbook, 5x! wager to withdraw on: December 30, 2023, 07:06:36 PM
Well, that x5 wager is in their terms, point 5.1, but i think that's an abuse too. Moves like that are not to avoid money laundering, is to avoid the users from withdrawing. But is the decision of the users of play here or not, i personally don't like those terms of service, the fact that the max withdrawal each day is $5,000 and $15,000/weeks is another rape for users, if you get a big win you will not even be able to take the money, so, there are multiple reasons to avoid this casino.
The fact that trustdice already stated that rule of 5x in their term of services means is no longer an abuse since the player have the right to either play on the site or look for another casino that offers him more friendly conditions,  so for sure casinos and bookmakers are out to make money also and they will employ any available mechanism to get the highest revenue.

Just as you mentioned in your concluding part of the comment,  those higher wager conditions are not in any way aimed at reducing the tendency of money laundering and if they do it can also be done with a 1x wager demand too,  this is a pour act of trying to trap the gambler from being able to withdraw from the casino.
1091  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Agboro and masquerade on: December 30, 2023, 06:34:32 PM
Although the monetary aspect of masquerading during festive period is now an abuse of the real culture that those masquerades are built upon,  although masquerades ls have classes and they vary depending on what the owner of the masquerade decides and does with them,  so for that this shouldn't surprise you at all since we have even masquerade that is just an entrepreneur who entertains for a living,  and this could be one of such.

Not all masquerades are culturally banned some just to carry cloth cover faces dey beg for money and nothing more than that,  so this shouldn't surprise you in days.
1092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any fun in losing while gambling on: December 30, 2023, 05:52:12 PM

~ With that fact in mind it inky left for the gambler who only gambles for the fun of it and nothing more than that, The majority of those who lose in gambling are those who never gamble just for the fun or looking to win big money from gambling.

Are you serious? Most gamblers lose money gambling simply because it is a zero sum game. Winning depends only on algorithms and in some gambling games such as sports betting, poker, etc. on the experience of the player. The probability of winning or losing has absolutely nothing to do with other characteristics of the player. An algorithm determining win/loss physically can not know in what mood is a gambler and for what purpose he plays gambling.
Really is that what of it is with sports betting,  I thought all the while that the possibility of winning sports bets is by the ability to accurately analyse the team using their available data,  and I never thought there be any other Algorithms outside.

I only thought that in-house games are the ones with an Algorithms since the house edge systems are mostly implemented on those games, anyways I may be wrong though.
1093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any fun in losing while gambling on: December 30, 2023, 03:21:58 PM
Only a few people enjoy gambling games for fun, even rich people, unless they have a lot of money or have complete control over themselves, but that is very rare. Everyone wants to win.

That's not true at all. I'd say it's the very opposite - most people find gambling enjoyable. A simple logic - in most games, a player has a mathematical disadvantage, meaning he's more likely to lose money long-term. If not for the "fun" factor, who would even play such games and why?
I suspect you might have mistyped and maybe what you meant was "Only a few people enjoy losing" etc, that's also not quite true but makes much more sense.
And also for the fact that it is mentioned on the terms and conditions of the casino that there is a house edge in the system which means that it is all about the casino first,  and the player is secondary.

With that fact in mind it inky left for the gambler who only gambles for the fun of it and nothing more than that, The majority of those who lose in gambling are those who never gamble just for the fun or looking to win big money from gambling.
1094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: another shitcoin another scam.... or? BURRRD on: December 30, 2023, 03:11:55 PM
Hey, I found a small funny thing yesterday this token on the Solana blockchain BURRRD so I checked up their website. https://www.burrrd.club/ at least they are honest about what it is or?  Grin

"Disclaimer BURRRD is a meme coin with no intrinsic value or expectation of financial return. There is no formal team or roadmap. The coin is completely useless and for entertainment purposes only.

I have no connection to the coin or the team behind it in any way if that's needed to say.
So what are you saying in essence,  do you speculate that this meme coin will be worth gambling on,  no doubt the team already stated it all and it is left for investors to make the decision either to buy into it or let it be.

We have a lot of meme coins and the hype is still not over yet and for that, we are sure to come across such coins which with such promises that make it a gamble.
1095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Terra LUNA revival Imminent on: December 29, 2023, 11:34:27 PM
$AVAX pumped from $9 to $50
$SOL pumped from $8 to $120
$INJ pumped from $1.10 to $45
$FET pumped from $0.05c to $0.75c
$LINK pumped from $4.90 - $17.00
Bitcoin $BTC was dead at $15,500 now see🔥
Now they are saying $LUNC $LUNA is__

Expect the UNEXPECTED

If I don't know about others, I can confidently tell you that bitcoin, Solana, Avax and Link are not going down, check the story behind those coins and see for yourself, the most assured one among them though is Bitcoin, then followed by Solana, we should expect more of pump in their market than dump, except for bitcoin, we all know that making a digital cryptocurrency Investment in altcoins is completely a risk-taking.
Very true especially when talking about Bitcoin and Solana at the moment both are the most preferred choice for me, but many times we have failed or gotten carried with the hype and at that seem to look at the entire market with the same level of focus as we have for all the other shitcoins,  but if you take the time to read the story behind those projects you will get to understand the reason why many of those coins speculators have chosen those coin above others.

Many of the other coins have good potential and also but the problem is the ability of investors to rightly locate the right coin since there have been multiple scam projects lately which have covered the good projects and made them hard to locate.
1096  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not everyone deserves to hear of your winning in gambling. on: December 29, 2023, 10:52:17 PM
()

It is always key to keep a secret life because it is the first point of protection. People can never destroy something they don’t know about. Concerning the issue of betting or gambling, I don’t see much of a thing there about advising someone because this could be a motivation for the person, the problem remains how you pass the message, if you keep on bragging about how you win, it might inspire them to continue but if you actually relay the message continuously how it is for them to go back to knowing coming back to gambling it will at least inspire true learning by that person
The way and manner in which you put things to them determine how they convey and understand the whole thing,  but just as we have all agreed on the role privacy plays in our overall security,  it is also better to give anyone you are telling about you bug winning,  give them the right information and what is needed for the well being as you break your winning news to them,  this way,  they will be aware of the risk of overbearing since they already know what sacrifice it takes to arrive at such a result.

But I will never tell a none gambler about my winning or losses,  because one of my principles is that,  I will never teach anyone how to gamble both directly and indirectly,  so it is a tradition for me,  and unless someone shows me Interest in gambling if not you can never hear me discussing anything related to gambling with anyone.
1097  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: December 29, 2023, 10:42:04 PM
PSV always get the points when playing at home (UEFA CLQ, UCL).
From their last 5 games at home (UEFA CLQ, UCL), they won 3 times with 2 draws.

Because PSV playing at home, Dortmund will be the underdog in terms of the odds.
PSV might get 3 points from this match, they will not play defense because draw or lose = problems when they visit Dortmund later.

I don't trust the bookmakers, they can be very wrong if you don't think for yourselves and follow your intuitions. PVS I followed to an extent during the games played in the group stage they didn't do well like they're being hyped honestly. Borrussia Dortmund also didn't do so well but you see this game? They're not losing this round to PSV.

Bayern Munich are also hot sides in this Competition, they have another experience coach but I don't think they can still win the Champions League with this kind of players.

Manchester City has also declined... You don't need be told. Pep Guardiola is only playing mind games with his mouth. His squad has heavily declined like they were last season.
So with all the analysis of the current position and standing of the clubs in this season,  which among them can lift the champion League Cup in this season since the defending champion Manchester City has declined so badly that it is clear that there may be difficulties in them meeting up to coming top of the league again.

But we never can tell and just any club can win the Champion League Cup and for sure we will celebrate the equally due to our understanding of how challenging this season has been for all the clubs and we can't really point out to what the reason for all this underperformance is and how to overcome them by the top choice clubs.
1098  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 29, 2023, 10:33:47 PM

I'm not surprised to see another rumor/issue about Mbappe's possible transfer to Real Madrid. We know Real Madrid is the team that has a big chance to sign Mbappe if he decides to leave PSG because Mbappe ever stated that he has a dream to join Real Madrid since he was a kid. Mbappe is one of the best striker (CF) in the world now, he already proved it in many competitions, including in the world cup champion. So, no doubt if Real Madrid has a big intention to sign him, Real Madrid is in urgent to have a new striker (CF). Also, Mbappe seems very suitable to be the main striker of Real Madrid. He has a play style and skills that fit with Real Madrid tactics.

If he doesn't extend his contract with PSG, he will have a higher opportunity to leave PSG. PSG management can't make a pressure to him if he is no longer having a contract with them. But if Mbappe extends his contract, PSG probably will try to set higher transfer fees for Mbappe. This will make Real Madrid to be more difficult to sign Mbappe in the future.

By the way, I don't think this will be the final offer from Real Madrid. They will continue to try signing Mbappe although he extends his contract with PSG.

Yes Real Madrid are in need of a striker but Don Carlo has already made his statement of not making any signing by January. But that could be because of the big summer signing which could be Mbappé, the French man is one very fine striker who now plays more maturely than last season and has now probably learnt leadership. And this would be the sweet time to join his dream team Real Madrid.

Real Madrid has the money to get him to their side but I think if PSG gives him a contract and he agrees, then Madrid will take the radar off him and find solace elsewhere. Let’s see how things turns out especially as we’ve got Don Carlo Ancelotti leading this team till 2026, which is positive news and I'm sure lots of the Madrid fans would be very happy that he's extended his contract for more lengthy years.
In the January transfer window in this season,  there is going to be a lot of player movement and just as we have seen the weaknesses of some of the clubs in this round and going forward there will be efforts to make adequate fill-up or replacements,  just like the rumour you mentioned, it's not only Real Madrid that is need of new players that can deliver,  even Manchester United and a host of others top clubs who performance have drifted significantly will all be needing to fill that space and to better position themselves for a good outcome in the next round of the international leagues.

Even also in the various local leagues,  mbappe is indeed a player to look out for and if Real Madrid can get him on board,  it will change a lot of things about them in the next round and the entire of season.
1099  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: December 29, 2023, 10:22:09 PM

When you do have that popularity or simply those connections then for sure referral hunting would really be just that easy. There are really just those people who are really that knowing to know on how to utilize that kind of situation on which they could really be able to make money if ever they would really be making out those kind of recommendations but of course before bonuses would really be credited then it would really be just that needed for those referrals to make some deposit before it would be considered to be eligible for the bonus. They cant really just asked or invite
and get some bonus without having those criteria on which it is really just that normal that there would really be terms and conditions which needs to be followed.
You can't really just make yourself gain some bonus without those criteria.
Well being popular alone may not give you that needed result at the end of the day,  because being a celebrity,  your fans may register using your referral link,  but how many of them will go beyond that by deposits and wagering on those casinos,  some of them just abounded the account once they register.

But we have those who have few close friends who register under the referral and also wager much within the month,  and at the end, the one who referred them will get higher total monthly referral bonuses,  so it is all about the activities of those who register under you that determine what and how much you get at the end of the month.
1100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not everyone deserves to hear of your winning in gambling. on: December 29, 2023, 10:02:26 PM
Every story you tell someone can either be a motivation or something to get them depressed. I have been thinking about this and I'd like to pass this advice to every serious gambler in this platform who has won a substantial amount of money from gambling, not to share their success story about winning to everyone and in every place. You do not know the story of every gambler, and on the face some gamblers may just look alright but in deep down they are in debt, some depressed due to addiction to gambling that is destroying them and has made them plan to quit. Your success story when shared indiscriminately may trigger and motivate this addicted gambler battling to stop to want to keep gambling, having the believe that their time is close. Be careful who and where you talk about your success in gambling, you may just be encouraging an addicted gambler to continue.
Very good advice and just as you said,  every story is either a motivation or course for depression,  taking a none gambler for example,  when you tell them how you use $3 to win $200 within a few hours can motivate them to start gambling without even checking the risk that is involved in gambling and that is why we have to be private as most as we can,  because we don't know who our stories may motivate and how it may motivate them on the long run.

The majority of those you tell you winning to act on it more negatively than positively,  so there is no need to tell anyone about what and how much you win at some point to avoid stirring up some form of negative energy in them at some point in time.
