Isn't it already past $1000 on bitstamp??
No.

I keep telling mine not to cash out the casascius coins I gave them years ago... So far they've listened, if only because I won't help them do it, and I keep telling them that the coins are worth more than double intact.
Too bad someone at DEFCon fucked that up. Casascius coins can be opened without destroying the hologram, so their resale value has plunged.

So I'm a recovering cancer patient seeking a job in web design. I'm trying to make some money with bitcoin but I made a HUGE mistake... On BTCJam, the P2P BTC loaning site, I lent out all of my savings about 0.5 BTC. (I don't have alot of money to spare) but that's now worth 500$, but I'm only getting 350...because the price is linked to USD. Sad thing is that I can't cash out until the tenth of December maybe...by then BTC might be worth 2000$...
Do you think BTC will correct after it hits 1000$? Or will it take off and I'm just screwed out of my funds I was too careless with...
I'm not begging, but if you do want to help out with a small donation to my pocket to help me, then god bless. 1BUcLeZ9zwncbBReg8DfcgXcSotvimPBdK
"Date Registered: November 11, 2013, 09:07:13 AM" Lulz@scam attempt. How the fuck am I scamming someone? Really? People like you piss me off. I'm not begging, I'm not scamming, Just putting my address out there like any other person. To have the audacity to say that to someone like me who had to go through the pain of being diagnosed and put through treatment, I survive in massive amounts of debt and you have the audacity to call me a scammer? Really? Fuck you. I've been in bitcoin since it was 50$, I just never got into forums much, I decided it was finally a good idea to make an account. Dick. You may not be directly begging, but you sure are hinting strongly that you want donations. Maybe if you were just straight about it you would have better luck. I believe it is this contradiction that makes it seem like a scam. If your post adds anything besides complaining about your bad decisions, your admittedly unfortunate medical situation, and "not begging" but providing a donation address, then please point it out since I don't see it. If there is something else there that I am missing, maybe we will have something to discuss. Cancer sucks. I've lost multiple friends and family to it. I also know many people who have beat it. Quit bitching and be thankful for every day you have. If you can't escape the anger/negativity and focus on the positive, the cancer will win. I seriously wish you the best. You will have to struggle in ways most people will never understand, but with faith and courage you can beat this.

You knew what you were agreeing to. Unfortunately, it turns out it was a bad idea.
Trading your btc for a usd promise is like shorting, but worse due to the possibility of borrower default. Would you short btc?

No problem, in North America at least, there has come a tradition of sales on this day and it is one of the busiest shopping days of the year in preparation for the Abrahamic consumption orgy of Christmas
Do you think the black-friday event could mainstream Bitcoin, so that no crash occurs? Edit: I read about this idea somewhere. No. For one, because "the mainsteam" will be shopping in stores. And for two, because spending bitcoins usually results in a market sell.

Does the fiat leak website take into account when someone sells bitcoin for fiat? otherwise its pretty useless...
Every trade has a buyer and a seller.

guys we need to start waking up.. or china will dominate btc at this buying rate.. 7500+ BTC bought with Yuan, 561 BTC bought in USD - all in 01:54 hours and rising.. http://fiatleak.com/somthing isn't right You do realize they buy those coins form other chinese right? =)))))) Are you sure this is not a net surplus by country? I don't know if he is sure, but I am. The site merely shows exchange volume for each currency, and only for some exchanges. There is no data source for "net surplus by country".

And why Mars? Nobody want's to go to Venus?
You mean $10k Venus, after this hitting Sun? No, thank you Exactly.... Venus is too hot, plus its atmosphere is filled with acidic gasses.

... Disclaimer: I mainly like them because of the mad profitz I've experienced by buying and holding a select few. Color me greedy! What can I say, they are speculative instruments and I speculated correctly.

If you're right, stick to your bets and you'll be vindicated.
Be careful with that. Sometimes, the market can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent.

I don't understand what point you are trying to make with your graph.
Isn't it obvious? We're going UP The fight for 900 is over i think. The 900 wall won. He didn't get to sell his coins. Ends up with nothing instead of spreading them out over 900+ and make even more. Well done. Of course we'll see a 500 sell now followed by panic sheep and we'll be back at 780 within the hour. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Shit I better start panic selling But why do you include bitcoin days destroyed. How is that ever evidence that price will move up?

0 expenses?
What do you call the 3600+ BTC being introduced by the miners every day. Yes, this is negligible in the long run, but currently it is a significant expense. At $800, that is $2.88 million a day. At 10X $800, it would be $28.8 million per day.

I'm leaving tomorrow to visit family for Thanksgiving, but I'll update this when I get back and get a T10 bit.

Stock firmware. There is one usb port.
I will give bfgminer a try later. What specifically should I be looking for?

I left it off longer this time.... now about where it was when I unboxed it, but still half of expected. I'll let it run for now until I can get a smaller hex bit. BAL 1: max 56C 3.26V | 25.59G/25.49Gh/s | A: 453 R: 61 HW: 4 WU:339.7/m
BAL means it's looking like a little single to cgminer, not a single. So either you don't actually have a single, or one of the boards isn't working at all or some other software confusion on cgminer's part. Try 'java api stats' if you have the api enabled (--api-listen) and see what information is in the dump. Excluding most of it since I have a bunch of AM hardware plugged in too, but here is the entry for BAL0: [STATS25] => ( [STATS] => 25 [ID] => BAL0 [Elapsed] => 25 [Calls] => 0 [Wait] => 0.000000 [Max] => 0.000000 [Min] => 99999999.000000 [Temp1] => 30.05 [Temp2] => 56.86 [Vcc1] => 3.264 [Vcc2] => 0.918 [Vmain] => 19.638 [Temp1 Max] => 31.00 [Temp2 Max] => 58.00 [Temp1 Max Time] => 1385413534 [Temp2 Max Time] => 1385413546 [Work Queued] => 19 [Work Complete] => 174 [Overheat] => false [Flush ID] => 105 [Result ID] => 109 [Flushed] => true [Scan Sleep] => 336 [Results Sleep] => 100 [Work ms] => 143 [Result Size] => 65/64/31/10/4/0/0/0/0/0 [Driver] => 2 [Firmware] => 1.2.9 [Chips] => YES @ 16 [Que Size] => 40 [Que Full] => 36 [Que Watermark] => 32 [Que Low] => 16 [GetInfo] => DEVICE: BitFORCE SC0x0a FIRMWARE: 1.2.90x0a IAR Executed: NO0x0a CHIP PARALLELIZATION: YES @ 160x0a QUEUE DEPTH:400x0a PROCESSOR 0: 16 engines @ 267 MHz -- MAP: FFFF0x0a PROCESSOR 1: 15 engines @ 244 MHz -- MAP: FFBF0x0a PROCESSOR 2: 16 engines @ 252 MHz -- MAP: FFFF0x0a PROCESSOR 3: 15 engines @ 244 MHz -- MAP: DFFF0x0a PROCESSOR 4: 15 engines @ 255 MHz -- MAP: FFDF0x0a PROCESSOR 5: 16 engines @ 249 MHz -- MAP: FFFF0x0a PROCESSOR 6: 16 engines @ 252 MHz -- MAP: FFFF0x0a PROCESSOR 7: 15 engines @ 244 MHz -- MAP: FFF70x0a THEORETICAL MAX: 31125 MH/s0x0a ENGINES: 1240x0a FREQUENCY: 274 MHz0x0a CRITICAL TEMPERATURE: 00x0a TOTAL THERMAL CYCLES: 00x0a XLINK MODE: MASTER0x0a XLINK PRESENT: NO0x0aOK0x0a0x00 [USB Pipe] => 0 [USB Delay] => r0 0.000000 w0 0.000000 [USB tmo] => 0 0 )

Hi notme, I know the bollinger bands and what they are based on. The VIX is not restricted to options. It`s also for stocks.
VIX is a measure of stock volatility, but it is calculated based on the options market: Theoretically it is a weighted blend of prices for a range of options on the S&P 500 index. See more: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VIX
