1101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin recover even if it fell to one dollar? on: July 16, 2022, 06:00:40 PM
Bitcoin going to one dollar would not be possible, why? Because, I know enough people who would buy bitcoin, all of it, before it reaches there and that's just my network. Think about the whole world, there are billionaires in the world who are buying it and accumulating more.

So technically speaking, if the price of bitcoin is at one dollar then there must be something super horrible going on. Like some quantum PC managed to hack into all accounts and withdrew their money from their wallets without needing much time, just a few minutes to hack into any address. If that's the case, or something major like that, then yeah the price would be one dollar.

But, even if all of the governments in the world banned it, it would still be more than one dollar, so it needs to be a technical reason.
1102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFT drops profitable? on: July 15, 2022, 09:50:10 PM
No, no they are not. Sure, there could be a few that look to be profitable, but those are few and rare in between. What we need to realize right now is the fact that crypto will not be something that is based on high risk anymore.

We already drooped so much in prices, and people would rather invest into more guaranteed stuff right now. This is why I believe that the best thing to do right now would be to just keep it going as much as we can, without having a huge fall. How do we do that? We end up not investing into NFT like stuff which are just hyped based, because there is no more hype left. And instead, we invest into stuff that are Bitcoin based and that's better.
1103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 13, 2022, 02:10:19 AM
We know the real reason behind why they released Ayton, dude wanted the max he could get, and Suns didn't want to offer him that much. Their owner is a famously cheap person and the city literally wanted to force him to sell, failed but that's how terrible he is, dude is even getting money from the state to keep running it.

This means that dude costs people money to just run his own business. I know that it's his business and he can run it anyway he wants, but a team doing well enough shouldn't be disturbed otherwise it gets worse.

Look at OKC, they had Westbrook-Harden-Durant on their peak, with Ibaka for example, and they didn't want to pay Harden and everything after that was a failure and look at them now. This is how you ruin a team, and Suns owner is doing that.
1104  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation will not fall to 2% target for two years, Fed's Mester says on: July 11, 2022, 03:14:31 PM
It is true that 2% will not be seen for a long time, probably not in most nations as well.
I mean there could be some Swiss numbers that could shock you, but 99% of the nations will have bigger than 2% inflation rate.

But, I am not against them printing money at that time, it was a logical reason. I mean it is never a good thing, but it was a necessary evil at that time we needed and that is what we did.

Hopefully we will reach to a point where that much printed would have been done anyway so it's okay, so if we print nothing for many years, we will get there, and it will be fine. If we keep inflation to minimum, then we will be living a comfortable life "eventually", but that needs like a fiscal responsibility for half a decade easily.
1105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin could become the gold of 21th century? on: July 10, 2022, 06:19:39 PM
I agree that there is a good case to be made about the correlation because both go up when dollar gets devalued and gets lower when dollar gets stronger. But aside from that, the similarities usually ends. You could draw a lot of connection if you so wished to desire but in that sense it could be drawn a lot more.

Plus, gold could still be "found", rare these days I agree, but there is no limit to how much gold there is, because it is unknown give or take, sure we won't be finding an earth size gold for sure, but it is still unknown how much is left. On top of that, with space getting closer and closer each decade, I am sure in the distant future "space mining" won't be impossible.

So, even if we see the short term similar, eventually gold will get devalued by influx of more gold coming in, whereas bitcoin will always be 21 million capped no matter what happens, plus all the burned ones, so it's even less.
1106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: July 09, 2022, 09:15:00 PM
It is definitely a shocking scene to see Ferrari racers going at each other. I mean not saying that you should leave it, but when the number one driver and number two driver are not clearly notified who they are, this is going to happen. Like Bottas knew Hamilton was number one, it was obvious to everyone, and Perez knows Verstappen is number one, no doubt about that at all. But, when it comes to this?

Ferrari still doesn't know who is number one. We see Charles as number one for sure, but Sainz finished better just last season, really not that weird for him to think he is better. Hell even Mclaren made it clear with their car improvements on who is number one.
1107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 08, 2022, 09:19:51 PM
Look, I know it makes no sense to give the whole future for Durant. Why would Wolves give Edwards, KAT would make sense for a little time, because they already got Gobert now, but they probably didn't want to lose KAT at all.

This is why I believe that there is a chance that Durant may not even leave for what Nets believe he should. They could get some picks for him for sure, but that dude is not a 25 year old kid anymore, he is aging, and even though he is still awesome, you need to be a team ready to win right now if you want to get him.

Mavs looked great because of this, they could give anyone outside of Luka, and in return would have a team filled with Luka and Durant and whoever around, which could fight for a title.
1108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Top US Energy Company to Explore Bitcoin Mining on: July 07, 2022, 08:38:05 PM
It is not a shock that there will always be companies who pollute the world and there will be companies who spend a ton of energy, a whole sector that will use more energy than most other places in the world, like jet engine fuel, and aviation.

So, it is not really a problem of crypto mining causing a lot of energy usage, it is preventing another one becoming like that. I support mining to be over tbf, the staking world has been around for a while and it is proven to be working. Yes, it hasn't worked as much as bitcoin transactions for sure, but it could get there if we work on it. There isn't a "bitcoin mining hurts the world less than some other stuff", if it hurts, it hurts, and it should stop.
1109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Qualifying on: July 06, 2022, 10:12:16 PM
The poll looks quite funny.

Everyone agrees that City was already great, but they lacked a pure striker that could score a bunch of goals.
Now that they have Haaland, everyone thinks that it is not even a competition.

At this point if City somehow loses, which is still possible because this is football and anything could happen, then I feel like it's going to be quite a tough challenge for them to recover from this. I believe Pep's contract will be ending at the end of the season right?

Well, I believe that it could be his last season and would probably not get renewed if he loses with this roster as well, he needs to prove to the world that he could get it, otherwise he is probably out.
1110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: July 05, 2022, 06:09:51 AM
Once again proving that if you want to win as a Ferrari driver, you just need to ignore the orders Cheesy.
I mean letting Charles stay upfront with those tires, just so sainz would be doing worse? Any smart team would know that you get the fresh tire upfront right away, and give the orders to Charles to keep whoever comes there for as long as possible, allowing Sainz to go as further as possible.

It was already known that Charles would have lost positions, so you would only be slowing everyone down. Sad to see crashes and all, that was a bad race but lovely to see Zhou get out and walking, and loved the race itself after that, wouldn't want harm on anyone obviously so it wasn't good in that case, but the famous shot of 5 different constructors all within like 20-30 meters was one of the most epic scenes we have seen in a long time, that rarely happens anymore.
1111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Plan B Is a CIA Agent on: July 04, 2022, 09:36:52 PM
Unfortunately there will always be people like this in the crypto world. There isn't any sector in the world where there aren't any 4chan conspiracy tinfoil hat type of people. All sectors have it and when we are talking about something as anonymous as bitcoin and someone who is not known created it (satoshi) then it leaves the door open for many people to do something like this.

This is why we could ignore all of this and we could end up with making some type of profit if we take advantage of these peoples craziness and manipulate them into doing whatever we want them to do. Just focus on getting your way that is reasonable and logical, not the crazy conspiracy peoples way.
1112  Economy / Economics / Re: The Russian Federation may be about to make a "Corralito" on: July 04, 2022, 05:39:04 PM
Most people may have some hard time digesting the conversation here, well – let me throw some more light into what we are talking about. Corralito was actually the informal name for the economic measures that were taken by the Argentine government to limit the level of cash withdrawals in the country to around 250 Argentine peso in a week. But this in no way did not affect the transfer of money using electronic means, and neither did it disrupt the use of credit and debit card for payments.

it is clear that in order to organize the power of the country's currency and limit the circulation of foreign money. Trying to get people used to it little by little eroding foreign money. Based on the sources above that the agreed date and year, without us knowing it from the start, Russia prepared the ruble financially, followed by the tragedy at the end of February.
At one point, I actually felt that something else was responsible for the strengthening of the rouble. And as a matter of fact, the combination of sanctions, which tanked imports, and Russia’s commodity exports, which were actually boosted by very high and uncomfortable prices, gave the ruble its further upward momentum. Russia also demanded European nations pay for natural gas in rubles, at this point, a lot of things got messy.

But with the aim of wanting to support the currency, the Russian government made a claim of pegging it to 1 gold.
1113  Economy / Economics / Re: Crashes are The Best Times to Get Rich - Robert Kiyosaki on: July 02, 2022, 06:59:47 AM
Just accumulation and debt, that's all he talks about in all his books and that's how he got rich. This may not work in every place neither, like real estate in Miami may work out for the best, but real estate in New York is not always a smart idea, or Toronto. This is why you should always focus on how the idea could be implemented and not if the idea is good.

For example, his idea of accumulation and debt may not be awesome in crypto, you could take out a huge loan for many years, and then buy bitcoin and then wait, would it work out? Well maybe, if you could find a way to get itself paid, but that would be hard, and staking would be required, and you would need to be taking a loss first few years, then maybe if you are lucky you could get it profitable.
1114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Strong Hands Are Buying on: July 01, 2022, 08:52:50 PM
Honestly the news itself is good and all, but El Salvador bought about 1.5 million dollars worth of bitcoin. 80 of them at around 19k each makes it 1.5 million if I am not wrong. I know that they are not a rich nation, so it is understandable that they would not be investing like they are the USA.

But, I didn't know that they are poor enough to make a news out of 1.5 million dollars. I know friends who are richer than that, they could buy a lot more, if a whole nation tweets about something like this, they must be really poor. Outside of that I feel like Saylor situation is very real, they are really going all in on bitcoin and nothing else and when that works out, it is going to be epic.
1115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 30, 2022, 09:42:43 PM
In today's wacky Lakers trade rumors...  This almost seems realistic until you include the Nets...

https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nba/the-los-angeles-lakers-could-acquire-kyrie-irving-and-gordon-hayward-in-huge-3-team-trade-with-charlotte-hornets-and-brooklyn-nets/ar-AAZ1bD6?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=d684b3d7f66643fa88d6f7b5f0b24a4b

It also looks like Dwayne Wade is playing with the idea of making a comeback.  Maybe his staying fit with his wife has paid some dividends to his body and he feels like he could make another run...  Sort of doubtful, but if we're talking unrealistic moves, it would be fun to think about Wade joining LeBron with the Lakers (the Cavs test didn't work out so well) along with Love leaving Cleveland for LA.  Honestly though, I wouldn't be surprised if the Lakers have to run it back with what they have.  That Westbrook contract is just something they might have to let run it's course.
It's clear that such a marginal trade would have to be quite difficult to pull off, even if you are Lakers. I mean getting Kyrie AND hayward at the same time. I would totally understand Charlotte if they want to get rid of Haywards contract, that's understandable and I understand Lakers want to get rid of Westbrook, and hell I would understand Nets getting rid of Kyrie as well.

But, the one that makes no sense, Lakers would get rid of Westbrook, whereas Nets would not get any of the big names, they would get players like Nunn and THT, which is surely fine if you want to rebuild, but they are not after that and this trade wouldn't get them better at all. Wade situation also sounds just a rumor, there is no way that dude could comeback and still be great. Sure maybe he kept his fitness, but scoring, or playing, does not equal being fit.
1116  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Alt coins are About to pump again! on: June 30, 2022, 11:44:10 AM
The lowest point of ETH/BTC this year was like what? 3 days ago? And now that it bounced you're already coming to conclusions that it's already the bottom? While not impossible, you're being a bit hasty there mate.
The way the price of Bitcoin has started to decline, it seems that Bitcoin will create a new history of breathlessness. However, the rate at which bitcoin has fallen has not reduced the price of alt coins.
The price of alt coins will go up very fast in the coming days
The price drop could happen, that is in the nature of bitcoin. We have seen it drop many times before, it was in 2011 or 2012 something first I remember, then in 2014-2015 period, then in 2018, now it is in 2022. We have seen it drop many times before. But all the times it has dropped, it recovered and that is the real thing that matters to me. As long as it could recover, there is nothing that I would worry about this at all.

I know that bitcoin will not only break 68k ATH price, but it will recover and go towards 100k and more as well. This is going to be pretty decent situation to be in and I am guessing that it will probably be like that for everyone as well, probably everyone believes the same thing.
1117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin the only option left on: June 28, 2022, 08:54:56 PM
How do we know the next top crypto best to invest in? From the picture, i see BTC, ETH and other stablecoin still remain top to invest throughout this past several years. Maybe your right, investing in them because they are in top this year cannot guarantee that they will still be the next best to invest in.

"Maybe your right"

It's really not even controversial. Even outside the cryptocurrency space like with stocks, you don't know for sure which top companies might under-perform and get replaced by other companies.
This is right. I mean we have seen plenty of huge tech companies get to the top first, but then we have started to see something out of nowhere that took over the world, which is tesla.

I mean that's a "car company" to be fair, even though they are not really just a car company, they are actually a tech company too because they are literally working towards cars driving itself, and every single real driver is helping them map the whole world, that is an insane thing but it allows them to get better at self driving cars too, and maybe one day they will make trucks that will ship things all over the world by driving itself, hence why logistics will no longer be a problem, put up some solar panels on the trucks body and you got yourself a great truck that could charge itself and go on a very long road.

It's unreal, but nobody saw that coming did it? We were looking at google, apple, usual regular old boring tech companies that did known and understandable stuff, they are not gone, they are still at the top but we can see how something that is revolutionary can come up and takeover, same could happen in crypto as well.
1118  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bottom For Bitcoin? on: June 28, 2022, 05:00:52 PM
People keep talking about when the bottom for bitcoin will be hit or has it been reached already. Meanwhile bitcoin and the market just can't deal with that at all, it doesn't care about any of this, the only thing it cares about is the fact that you could make a good profit from bitcoin if you buy right now, and if you keep on waiting then you are not going to be making that kind of profit for sure.

So, why focus on that when you could do something much more profitable? I get that you may not like the way it is going right now, but that doesn't change the fact that you could have bought right now and made a profit, when instead many people are trying to find the absolute bottom, like it would matter if you bought at 14k instead of 20k, what if it never reaches those levels?

What are you going to do if it never reaches those levels? Would you be fine with buying at 30k in that case in order to not miss out the hyped increase? I think buy now, no matter how low it could get, so that you wouldn't regret it later on when the price starts to go up a lot more.
1119  Economy / Economics / Re: USA dollar and USA economy are Not Same on: June 28, 2022, 10:31:40 AM
There’s something we all need to understand, and that is the big difference between currency and economy. The Economy of any nation is greatly dependent on the value attached to the currency of that nation. The performance of U.S economy lies on the decision to buy or sell dollars. A strong economy will attract investment from all over the world due to the perceived safety and the ability to achieve an acceptable rate of return on investment.

And again, if your country is such that have difficulties producing commodities themselves, that is, they always have to import, then you realize money will always have to be leaving the economy to the other country you are importing from. So, it’s quite rare to find a country whose currency value is equated to the economy.
1120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stake platforms for BNB on: June 26, 2022, 09:33:01 PM
I agree, Binance is the best one and if you go there and start staking your BNB there, then you could also realize that your income could be used for trading fee and drop the amount of loss you would take from that. It's a win-win situation, you have BNB on your account that gives you free trading bnb fee and that means trading becomes free for you just to hold BNB on your wallet and nothing more.

Plus, if you do not do that, then you are just making a good return form the real place, like literally where bnb comes from, and if you ever end up worrying about "trust" then you know that no other place could be as trustworthy as Binance. They are making tens of millions of dollars in profit every single day, and BNB is a big chunk of it and they could totally end up with a good return on your staking as well, meaning they could never fail to pay you for your staking.
