1101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not in a bubble. people are using it to park their dollars. on: June 15, 2017, 12:36:38 AM
Yet again, I feel all of this news is being manufactured by the whales and the big traders in Bitcoin, no one can even try to fight the claim that we're in a bubble right now. With the price increases per day it's pretty insane to even think of not being in a bubble, let alone writing it in a news site and then sourcing it on here. The price went up like a fucking straight up ladder for BTC and many other coins fells, so simpy this source is just trying to shill more and more people into getting into BTC so the whales can make more and more money.

Shitty source just trying to make more money, sorry OP.

I don't agree with your opinion... If the whales were shilling, we'd see a bit more volatility than what we've seen over the past few weeks. I just met with a bitcoin whale, and he was more concerned about using his bitcoins to live his everyday life so that he didn't have to use his fiat currency. He was looking to buy properties with bitcoin, he's bought a couple of tesla's, traveling with Bitcoin. If he was looking to dump and cash in, he wouldn't be so active in utilizing his coins on this rising market.

With that said, I've been buying btc since it was $280. This last correction is a blessing for me, as I picked up some more at this week's (hopefully) low.

The article could have been a bit more specific in its details, and I can see why you think it's just a shill piece, but based on a couple of personal interactions with bitcoin the past few months, I think Bitcoin is still on the rise, not bubbling.
1102  Economy / Services / Re: [NSFW] SativaDiva here to make all your dreams come true(; on: June 15, 2017, 12:08:45 AM
Hey, SativaDiva,

Good luck to you. Nevermind all these keyboard warriors and haters. I'm sure that if you were live in front of them or had an encounter in person at a coffee shop, or something, none of them would be acting the way they are on this thread. The deep level of disrespect shown here makes me question a lot of users' relationships with their mothers...

With that said, I always hate to see women take the route of whoring themselves out for money, but I can understand it's a good way to make money. If you want, I can send you a guide on ewhoring, which is generally men sitting behind a keyboard of a computer and a phone and faking that they're women. The guide has a bit of information that I think you can use (besides the whole faking that you're a girl part).

Best of luck to you, and fuck all these haters. And great username!

I have updated the OP with my tipping address, 1SativaSQuwpFTqadidyZjxrimEF5eKbC

Im not going to buy any services but, i need to ask whether you prefer Indica or Sativa strains?

For the record, this literally made me lol
1103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and the power of media on: June 14, 2017, 11:59:01 PM
If I'm going to be honest, I think that the newfound cryptocurrency legalization in Asian countries like Japan and South Korea will lead to a lot more "user-friendly" websites, guides, ebooks, and apps that will help the average person get more familiarized with how to use Bitcoin, not how it works. HUGE difference.

I'm fairly tech-savvy, as I've been around technology since the late 90's, and Bitcoin took a while for me to understand. The media has thus far focused on news related to the effects of Bitcoin, and not really about the technology or security advantages of it. I believe that's simply because they don't understand how Bitcoin works.

If we're going to have any long-term staying power, the community is going to need to learn how to use Bitcoin, not how it works. Let's take banks, for example. Not many people know about how banks operate, what their internal procedures are, what happens to your money once it hits their vaults and private ledgers, etc. All we know is that we deposit $100 into our accounts, and we could use that $100 at a later time as we see fit. Do we understand how banks work? Nope. Don't need to. We just know that we can use our money (for the most part) when and where we want.

Electricity is the same way. Do we understand the circuitry and engineering behind how our light switch is connected via wires to a voltage regulator that has a light bulb attached to that? Nope, because we don't need to. All we know is that when we flip the light switch, the bulb turns on.

Bitcoin should be the same way, and until the media power houses start focusing on the uses of Bitcoin and what it can be used for, rather than trying to teach us about the technology behind it, Bitcoin won't become a commodity like we want it to become. From most of my experiences with Bitcoin in the media, there has always been a negative connotation to the stories they produce.

Simplify Bitcoin. More websites need to publish how to use Bitcoin, rather than how it works. My thoughts.
1104  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex BTC withdraw "awaiting approval" problems. on: June 13, 2017, 11:56:10 PM
I've had an issue with withdrawing from Poloniex in January of this year. After waiting a few hours without approval for my withdrawal, I sent a support ticket into the site, and this was the dialogue:

Ticket Submitted: January 26, 2017 12:09AM
Ticket Replied To: January 26, 2017 2:35AM

My message was responded to in about 2.5 hours, and after I changed my name, as they had suggested, my withdrawal was approved at 2:49PM.

All of my withdrawals on Poloniex from that incident have been approved and sent to my wallet within a few hours.

Could this be the same issue you're facing? Are you using an obviously fake name on your account?
1105  Economy / Economics / Re: What don't you like about Banks and Banks controlling your money on: June 13, 2017, 11:37:20 PM
Here's the problem that I have with fiat currency banks: they operate on a private ledger.

In a nutshell, and in layman's terms, when banks first started, they operated by accepting your deposit, putting your funds in a vault or a safe, and then recorded the amount of money that you deposited on a ledger book. This means that your money is no longer in your possession; it is in the bank's possession, with a ledger to state how much of the overall amount you actually own.

This system, over time, has become so diluted, and those ledgers have remained private. Only bank employees can see the ledger, unlike cryptocurrency. Additionally, loans and credit lines are doled out based on the amount of physical and liquid assets that the bank is holding, essentially, creating a debt in order to put YOU in debt by giving you a loan. And this is all based on a ledger system that provides absolutely zero transparency.

And behind closed doors? How do banks make so much money? If they are just simply supposed to be storage for your money, how can they afford to pay so many employees on a global scale, week in and week out? Banks aren't designed to keep your money secure. They are designed to make money off of you. By offering you low interest loans and new credit cards with a low APR. And every time you open a savings account? They can now leverage your money to use to produce MORE money by offering loans based on those secured, no, YOUR secured assets that you trusted the banks with.

Banks will collapse over time... It's a matter of just that... time.

In a nutshell, and as simply as I can state, banks are nothing but huge ponzis. They need new customers in order to keep your money safe. The moment they stop receiving new customers (for loans, credit cards, new accounts, deposits, etc), the bank is fucked. They no longer have the physical storage of assets to pay everyone on their ledger.

Fuck banks.

I post a bit in the Altcoin and Micro Earnings sections, but I post plenty in other sections, as well. If I'm accepted into the campaign, can my posts in the Alt and Micro Earnings sections just be removed from my total post count for the week?

Thanks for your consideration, @DarkStar_
1107  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] Ⓣ Ⓣ Ⓣ Torcoin Signature Campaign Ⓣ Ⓣ Ⓣ on: June 13, 2017, 08:01:21 PM
I will be dropping out of this campaign. Unfortunately, I cannot endorse TorCoin any longer, as @thetorcoin has not delivered on the promises that he has made regarding the coin. I've been waiting for an updated tor-integrated mac wallet, and the delivery date has come and gone. Hopefully, you'll consider accepting me back in the future, but for now, I'm going to reluctantly drop out until new announcements are made by @thetorcoin.

Thanks for having me, @iluvbitcoins; you are a great campaign manager, and I wish you the best!
1108  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] Xio Bitcoin Faucet - Up to 10000 sats. / 5 min. on: June 11, 2017, 07:02:34 AM
I have pretty much abandoned this faucet. It started off very well, paying out great amounts for each claim. Unfortunately, over the course of the past few weeks, the payouts have been getting smaller and smaller. I have also noticed MUCH less referral payouts, which means that my referrals are now no longer claiming from this site.

With that said, rest in peace, Xio Bitcoin. Sad
1109  Economy / Auctions / Re: ePay.info For Sale on: June 11, 2017, 06:58:57 AM
I can also confirm that my balance was zero'd a few months ago. So much for honoring all withdrawals and payments to whoever you owe, especially when you just zero accounts.

I have had a shit ton of referrals via ePay, so I should be making a steady stream of referral income, but now? Guess what? My account is still at 0.

If you, potential buyer, were still considering buying this site, I hope you reconsider. You'd be adopting a nightmare.
1110  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Epay.info - When they're going to pay? on: June 11, 2017, 06:05:37 AM
They totally scam now, they are selling their script and domain. Admin said that he will pay all user before he transfer it to new owner but i don't think someone will buy their website and even epay is bought, the Scammer will never pay you. So i think you have to forget about your money.

Here's the thing. If the admin/dev of ePay was honest, he would use the proceeds from the sale of the site and script to pay the outstanding balances of the sites members and faucet admins. But considering his public silence about this whole debacle, I think it's safe to say that there isn't any intention of paying anything out.

Is there anywhere we can catch up on news about ePay at the moment? The last twitter update was on May 17 and their website doesn't say shit.
1111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoExistCoin - COXST - Blockchain technology to help better humanity on: June 11, 2017, 05:58:14 AM
Working on swap web page as well as updating website this weekend. Small changes here and there until swap is complete.

Dope! Let me know when you're finished with the details, and I'll help you out. I'm very happy about the swap, and even more happy about the future of this crypto. I currently help out where I can with charity stuff, and sit on the board of a non-profit. Maybe this could be the official cryptocurrency we could offer for accepting donations from crypto users Smiley

Can't wait until COXST is swapped over!

Is there any way to integrate the referral information to the frontend of your website, so that we don't have to come back here to grab the referral code every time? It would be much appreciated. Thanks!
1114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoExistCoin - COXST - Blockchain technology to help better humanity on: June 06, 2017, 09:21:14 PM
First of all, FUCK YOSHIT. All of a sudden, out of the blue, I am now required a 2FA to login, when I have never set up 2FA on my account. I don't hold any balances there; I just use YoBit when I need to buy something quick, and then transfer the coins out. I opened up a support ticket with them asking to remove the 2FA, and they responded very quickly with some requirements that I need. I replied with responses to their questions, and as of right now, it has been 8 days since they have sent their requirements. And nothing. So fuck YoBit; I am no longer using them as an exchange.

Secondly, congratulations, Stein! This is GREAT news for COXST, and I can't wait to see what kind of further developments there are down the road for this coin Smiley Kudos to you, limaphil, for stepping up at such a difficult time and proving to us that you're not just another scammy admin of yet another crypto.

Makes me proud to still be a part of this movement Smiley
1115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [TOR] Torcoin - X11 PoW - Tor Integrated Crypto - Torcoin.org on: June 06, 2017, 09:13:50 PM
Any further news as to the development of this coin, and updates to "undo" the bullshit that CarsenK has inevitably cursed TorCoin with? I do believe that @thetorcoin really had no idea how shady Carsen was when he hire the dev to create the coin, and unfortunately, it seems as if there's a lot to do to reverse the damage.

As far as a tor-integrated wallet, I don't mind waiting for the release, as long as we are updated with the progress of its development.

I am still far from calling or considering TorCoin to be a "scam" as many are calling it; I just think there was a major rush to launch the coin without due diligence from the parties involved in its development. I'm still fairly optimistic that all will turn out well for this coin.

I'm a premium account holder at freepik, which means I can use any of their files without having to credit the author.

I've also submitted many designs to freepik to use on their site, and can prove any of this by providing the original vector files for any of the stuff I've submitted. PM me if you need verification.

Thanks for hating on me, though. Appreciate the extra attention.

Here is the coin mockup:

1117  Economy / Services / Re: ► LOGO CONTEST ◄► cryptocoinsmarket.com logo design ◄► 0.01 BTC prize on: June 06, 2017, 06:10:40 PM
For the record, this is my original design. I made the logo for a company called Central Marketing last year, and they never paid me, so I sent them a cease and desist letter to stop using my logo. How the logo ended up on a freesite, I have no idea, but I have just requested for them to remove the file from their site. I have the original Adobe Illustrator file for the logo, as can be shown in this example:

The concept is the same: the original design was created to reflect a bar graph, representing growth.

Use my design or not, but I've already done the work for it, and I can provide you the original vector file for this. According to the free site, they are just providing flat images, not vector art for this, because they do not have the vector art.

Quote
...We have the best gallery of the latest CM Logo Picture, Image and pictures in png, jpg, bmp, gif, tiff, ico to add to ...

Please note that none of these formats are scalable vectors. However, these are the formats that I've provided to the marketing company; I never provided them with the original vector file because they never purchased my intellectual property.

Thanks to @kaeluxdeuz to bringing this to my attention; I'll deal with the free site thieves.
1118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The IRS is Due to Present its Digital Currency Strategy to Congress Next Week on: June 01, 2017, 05:01:46 PM
I can't imagine that the IRS would intervene with trying to monitor and track cryptocurrency. The volume of trading in the US is just a drop in the bucket compared to the stock exchange for fiat currency, and in order to properly monitor crypto users, there has to be implementation of standards and regulations on multiple different platforms. I can imagine that some of the bigger exchanges that operate to US customers would be targeted by the IRS, but that just means that those users would then migrate their trading elsewhere. I don't think any crypto exchanges want to give up their users' privacy, as that would be like them shooting themselves in the foot.

If I was the operator of an exchange, I would tell the IRS to fuck off, send a mass email to all my users informing them that the exchange was shutting down, so to make sure that they log in and withdraw their balances.

The good thing is that so far, Coinbase has pretty much told them to fuck off:

Quote from: Coinbase
"[W]e strongly question whether the IRS has actually established a reasonable basis to support the mass production of records for half of a million people, the vast majority of whom appear to not be conducting the volume of transactions needed to report them to the IRS. Based on the information before us, this summons seems overly broad, extremely burdensome, and highly intrusive to a large population of individuals."

I hope they don't turn, but it sounds like they won't, because, as I said earlier, that will be the death of their own service.

Good luck, IRS, but there's no centralizing this decentralized market, no matter how hard you try. We will prevail Smiley

1120  Economy / Services / Re: ► LOGO CONTEST ◄► cryptocoinsmarket.com logo design ◄► 0.01 BTC prize on: May 30, 2017, 10:31:16 PM
You want simple? You got it. Modern? Yup.

I used a bar graph as a model for the "M" in the icon typography. I didn't want to overwhelm the logo with too much detail. Logos need to be concise, and when displayed at 110px in height, to-the-point and easy-to-read.

Green? Because people associate the color green with two things: 1. Green means "GO", and 2. Money

And, as always, I can't wait to see the designs that come in after this point that are going to be similar to my design. (post edited and entry submitted June 1)
