If somebody tries to implement what you say above I will wish them well and will follow with interest. At the moment the only people attempting anything at all in the CK world are Loaf and his dev team, with great input from syksy, and I'm going to support that effort because there isn't any other option to support. I could say I agree with your opinion in principle, but unless someone is trying to make it happen, there's nothing to support in a practical sense. I don't see this as an either/or situation, I believe what Loaf is trying to do will become an obvious fork eventually, and legacy CK will still be there at the end exactly as it is now, and Loaf's version will be a new game with different game design and economic engine.
The question isn't why someone else doesn't do this but why CrazyLoaf won't. If you're criticizing a new coin, no one is going to say Why don't you make a different coin? So why are you saying that? If there's something wrong, something IS wrong. |

... dakle, to si ti @iluvbitcoins i @marlboroza i mislim da će njega prije poslušati nego sve nas ostale. Ja jedino želim reči da si se ti izjasnio da želiš biti moderator i izrazio sam ti podršku na tome. Sad jedino još @marlboroza mora prihvatiti i sve je riješeno. Ako je potrebno provesti neko formalno glasanje OK, idemo, da već jednom riješimo to. Ja bih dosad već otvorio poll ali mi nije ugodno otvoriti ga jer sam naočigled najozbiljniji kandidat i imao bih osjećaj kao da guram na svoju stranu zbog zatvaranja kandidatura. Nije baš tako rekao Rekao je da smo ja i on jedine osobe koje bi se uopće mogle razmatrati za tu poziciju. Što ne znači da nas vidi na toj poziciji. Također Lauda već dugo nije dio moderature. Možemo jedino izbaciti poll ako budemo kontaktirali theymosa kako bi mu eventualno posao bio malo lakši jer već vidi koga zajednica podržava i tko je spreman vršiti tu funkciju te se nadati da će nam se smilovati  Dakle, radeći poll radi formalnosti, kandidaturu je jedini osim mene predao ovcijisir. Dobri savjeti, sam planiram koristiti sve osim password managera. VPN i hardwer wallet su u planu, a ostalo već korisitm/radim. Password manager mi je nekako mrzak i imam osjećaj da gubim veliki dio sigurnosti. Ma koliko password manager bio dobar u problemu si ako ti neko sjedne za kompjuter Dozvoljam spremanje logina/passworda samo za nebitne stranice. Sve važno je spremljeno u kamufliranom txt fajlu. Uglavnom mislim da sam našao solidan način da dođem do svojih passworda unutar 3-4 klika a da bi nekom drugom trebali dani da ih nađe. Što mi je dovoljno za moje potrebe. Jel to znači da imaš spremljene passworde negdje na kompu? Mislim da ti je puno sigurnije jednostavno koristiti nešto tipa LastPass i poslije korištenja gasiti komp/laptop (enkriptiraš ga). Sve ovo mi je jasno (2FA, različite lozinke i slično) osim VPN-a. Na koji način se sigurnost povećava korištenjem VPN veze? VPN samo osigurava da je veza "privatna" između mene i izlaznog čvora. Na koji način me to može zaštititi od nečega?
Jedino za što znam da je VPN dobar je ako osoba želi sakriti lokaciju sa koje pristupa nekoj stranici. Onda pomoću VPN servisa izgleda kao da pristupa s lokacije na kojoj je VPN server.
Ovo i mene zanima. Izuzev sakrivanja podataka od ISPa ne vidim kako VPN doprinosi sigurnosti. |

So, Verge is pretty "big" for an alt/shitcoin. I remember the hype started when John McAffe (the "celeb" who gets paid for his tweets) tweeted about it, and it's been a shitshow ever since. And the dumb money KEEPS FLOWING IN.
Back in November/December, McAffe tweets about Verge (probably got his $105,000.00 for that). Hype starts building up.
Verge had a "Wraith Protocol" update coming up on a set date. Dev didn't keep true to his word and postponned it. When it finally came out, it wasn't anything impressive.
Dev made a post asking about paying taxes related to cryptos/coinbase. A few hours after said post, he started a "Give Verge to our pool so we can reveal big news on day XX/YY!!!1"
Didn't get enough money, some company matched the donation value so he would reveal it anyway.

Two days ago, their Blockchain was hacked.
Dev pushed a "fix" and said everything was fine. Wasn't, as hacker still mined free XVG.
Now Dev pushed another "fix". It was a hardfork. He didn't know it was a hardfork. Let me repeat that. The Dev. Didn't. Know. He. Pushed. A. Hard. Fork.
Despite all this, XVG is riding a pretty substantial rocket in value, gaining crazy percentages in a consolidated bear market. This honestly feels JUST LIKE BITCONNECT. Dumb money flows in, colorblind to all the red flags that keep popping up and probably thinking they're gray or green.
I'm at a loss for words. If anyone knows an exchange that allows me to short Verge, please PM it to me. I'll love some free money when this shit booms. BTW that company that matched donation value was no one else then Tokenpay ICO, in which xvg main dev is team member. Check their tweets luring money from ppl in form like: "don't be late for deal of century" or "guys if you can give 15 millions of xvg, we will pay the rest". Bitconnect style formulations... Wasn't the arguement that he wanted to keep the money when he doesn't collect the 75m? Wouldn't that break that intention? o.o |

Trying to resolve the b1 debts doesn't look possible now, the only option to do that would be confiscating Risto's CK assets and distributing them to b1 creditors, but without Risto involved this won't be cool with many people, and IMO it's worse than putting the b1 debts in the too hard basket. Who has authority to do this? Some people have already made a good profit from CK, if they also hold b1 debts and would get more, some people will obviously complain that isn't fair because they haven't experienced any CK losses, and didn't feel the CK 'burn'. Are you saying that distributing Ristos assets to people he ows money to won't be cool with many people but distributing his assets to the game will? I'm saying we're all free to try anything now, if you suggest a plan to repay risto's debts that includes details to some of the concerns raised earlier, I will certainly consider it, what Loaf is proposing is detailed & possible to achieve, but it's not something I like exactly, but no outcome now is ideal, we're picking the best option, not an idealised 'solution' to a really difficult situation. How are you proposing to deal with the clawback issue Loaf mentioned? Simple. Risto gifted someone 50 BTC so we should 'clawback' that money since that's not a good spend? Hell no. That's moronic. Risto is an individual with assets he used however he wanted. If he gifted someone 50 BTC, that's his money. No clawback should be made. If you want to claim the debts, let me tell you want anyone else would claim: the funds you got out of the game. That is called a clawback. So if you got 100 BTC out of the game, took out 50 BTC and were given 50 BTC extra by accident, were gifted 5k XMR to make a game token and never did it, or caught Risto's fat-fingering and got 5k XMR out of the game, guess what? Those funds need to be clawed back and shared with all affected parties! And this focus on the B1/E1 debts ignores all users in the game who now own worthless game items. It doesn't matter if you have B1/E1 or just game currency (M) or even squirrel pelts! All of this is worth zero! You can't even get a few dollars worth of XMR into or out of the game as the only XMR depository ( https://deposit.cryptokingdomgold.com) has been down for almost a month! Just saying 'we should use risto's accounts to pay his debts' isn't helpful without details, you have to get down to brass tacks, the devil is always in the details.
The guy who was owed 50btc but was paid twice, how do you deal with him?

When I say it's not 'cool' what I mean is it's not simple, and not likely to get universal support e.g. if you agree with clawback suggestions then what are you proposing to do if those guys say 'No', they wont return those funds to be divided between all debt holders? It's a mine field man!!
Again, what Loaf is proposing is not going to get universal endorsement, and it's not the optimum outcome by any means, BUT, it's simple, possible to do, and someone is actually trying to do it!
Debt repayment is:
- not so simple when you think of the details
- not possible IF there needs to be clawback and some effected don't send funds back
- nobody is even working towards that goal for +6 months
Being a critic is easy, proposing a workable roadmap is always going to make some people pissed off.
If you agree with debt repayment and clawback, please say so, otherwise please state your proposal, but it needs to cover these difficult issues, and you might find what you put in the too hard basket is just as unpopular with some people as what Loaf is 'doing' i.e. he's actually trying to implement his plan, he's not a critic anymore.

You don't deal with them. How do you deal with someone who got 50 BTC? He already got them. Risto sent it to him. Not me, not you, not 'the game', not the B1, E1 holders. Risto did. The clawback is morally wrong. It means you're supposed to lose money just by playing, no profit can be obtained in the game and must be distributed among B1/E1 holders, but they won't be able to profit either since if they made profit they'd suffer the clawback. ment is:

Just registered to back OCMiner on a technical level. He is correct on all counts, and you should listen to him. Sunerok doesn't know a thing about engineering; he would not be able to land a job in this sector. He is a fraud, a phony, and gives the rest of us (professionals) a bad reputation. This will catch up to him, for now, I advise you to reach out to SEC and file a complaint. This issue was found 4 years ago. Someone should be going thru the libs that XVG uses and helping to sort this out; unfortunately someone has been going thru and looking to exploit. it actually has nothing to do with libraries/dependencies verge uses. this issue was brought up in peercoin, but thought to not be a threat. many coins still have this issue in them. This is no excuse. You should be better than other coins if you want to go to TOP 3, as you've stated. |
