What are you talking about? I just showed you how there aren't any people who know that God doesn't exist. Because they haven't checked out the whole universe to see if God isn't on some other star or planet. So, there aren't any atheists. There are only atheist wanna-be's, right?

Please check out the rest of the universe to find God. If you don't find Him, then you might be an atheist. But if you find Him, please describe Him to us.

Cool

You don't know for certain that the Flying Spaghetti Monster doesn't exist or the Flying Tea Pot. Because you haven't checked out the whole universe to see if the Flying Spaghetti Monster or the Flying Tea Pot are on some other star or planet. So, there aren't actually any people who don't believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster. There are only anti-spaghetti wanna-be's, right?

Please check out the rest of the universe to find the Flying Spaghetti Monster. If you don't find him, then you might be an anti-spaghettio. But if you find Him, please describe Him to us.

Thank you. With regard to the topic of this thread, you are helping prove that there are no atheists. Why not? Because those who want to identify themselves that way (as atheists), suggest that they believe that God does not exist. But like nobody can prove that the "Flying Spaghetti Monster or the Flying Tea Pot" don't exist, neither can they prove that God doesn't exist. Since they can't prove it - or even begin to prove it - and since they know this, they don't really believe that God doesn't exist. They might look at the odds - there's a lot of space out there, so the odds are in favor of the God possibility - but they surely don't really believe that God doesn't exist. All they are is atheist wanna-be's... if that.

Cool

By your logic, there aren't any Christians because they can't prove that God exists.
Correct?

Well, wrong. Proof of the existence of God can be found here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=737322.msg10718395#msg10718395
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1355109.msg14047133#msg14047133
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1662153.40
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1054513.msg16803380#msg16803380.

But this proof doesn't state that it is the Christian God. The faith of the Christian God is held in place by God.

Cool

This is not proof, this is a statement.
You've basically said, things in nature are machine-like, so god is real.
Therefore, your logic if flawed.

If atheists don't exist because they can't prove god doesn't exist, Christians don't exist either because they can't prove god does exist.

Btw, I remember we had this same discussion a couple years back, you posted some of your old replies and I read through them
That time my beliefs were a bit shaken if I remember it correctly
I was very young back then and I was having a lot of arguements at home for not believing
1042  Other / Politics & Society / What's your political orientation? on: April 26, 2018, 11:31:09 PM
I remember a couple of years ago when I was on P&S often, the section was primarily libertarian

I seem to notice a trend that's not similar to the one I enjoyed earlier.

So, I googled to see if I was mislead or not

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=9568.0

It was pretty obvious Anarchist and Libertarian dominated

I have found one from 2012
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=67929.0

But this one is still open, and I need to vote in order to see the results..

http://prntscr.com/jalv48

At first glance looks tight
But if you take a better look, you'll notice there's an option called Ronpaulism with 8 votes
You can add those 8 to Libertarianism and carry a dominant victory!

You have to note, Anarchists are mostly Libertarian, so the wins here are even more prevalent.
Let's vote to see, if the bitcoin base has changed, or has it remained the same?

EDIT: Sidenote

Do an 8values quiz
https://8values.github.io/

Screenshot your results and post them here so we can compare.
Assuming you're willing to share your beliefs.

1043  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: April 26, 2018, 11:20:28 PM

So, what is Granny supposed to do? Sneeze at her antagonist and hope that will stop him? Holler "help! help!" and wait for the police to arrive? Use a squirt gun?

Years ago there were a whole lot of cowboy shows on TV. Often there were gunfights where gunfighters faced each other on the street. Whoever was the fastest draw and the best shot was the winner. There are still scenes and shows of gunfights being portrayed in different cities in America for show.

Now imagine in one of those shows that the good, law-abiding guy didn't have a gun because of gun control. He is out there on the street in a gun-drawing stance, but doesn't have a gun. The bad guy has a gun, because he is a bad guy.

You are kinda ignorant, aren't you. Granny may not have a chance under any circumstances. But she has far less of a chance if she has no gun. If she only wounds her assailant before she dies, it's much easier for any witness to pick the guy out from the line-up. Granny has a far better chance with a gun, and with a gun she is helping all the innocent people who are attacked, by example, even if she dies.

Cool

The most ignorant people are gun nuts who equate having a gun as having a chance at survival, this is nonsense based on lies gun companies feed you this a GOOD PERSON WITH A GUN SAVES INNOCENT PEOPLE. You live in some make believe world where everyone is carrying a gun on their hip to protect their lives. The real danger with many guns end up as a cost on small children, family members, and other members of their community thru rage and carelessness rather than danger caused by a thug.

Again it all goes back to fear, you think you live in a world where this granny is constantly looking around for someone to attack her so shes ready to point her gun at anyone who looks threatening to her and she will help all the innocent people who are attacked. How the hell is a granny going to differentiate in a gun fight who is right and who is wrong? OMG someone is coming near me, let me shoot and wound him first.

And how often does this Granny shoot an attacker scenario happen?

In 2012 Violence Policy Center released a fresh analysis of federal crime and health data that explores how often potential victims actually turned the tables. Parsing 2012 numbers, the center counted 259 justifiable gun-related homicides, or incidents in which authorities ruled that killings occurred in self-defense.

That's in a nation in which there are some 300 million firearms. In 2012, there were 1.2 million violent crimes, defined as murder, forcible rape, robbery and aggravated assault. Or, put another way, 1.2
million scenarios in which there was potential for someone to kill in self-defense.

BUT who cares about some #FAKENEWS stats from liberal research center. Just keep buying guns, look over your shoulders at every turn, pack more guns the older you get, they are out to GET YOU!!!

Gun companies lie to you? :O
Are you sure that's not the goverment?

“One reason burglars avoid houses when people are at home is that they fear being shot during the crime.”

    74% of felons polled agreed.

“Criminals are more worried about meeting an armed victim than they are about running into the police.”

    57% of felons polled agree

Consider that..

Why ignore this

Quote
Almost all national survey estimates indicate that defensive gun uses by victims are at least as common as offensive uses by criminals, with estimates of annual uses ranging from about 500,000 to more than 3 million per year, in the context of about 300,000 violent crimes involving firearms in 2008

Why ignore Hitler disarmed his nation, so did Stalin, so did Pol Pot etc. etc.

1047  Other / Ivory Tower / Is the Ivory Tower proof we shouldn't restrict other sections like the I.T.? on: April 26, 2018, 10:35:15 PM
Ivory Tower was supposed to be a section without spam and a section where serious discussion and intellectual debates would take place.

It sort of achieved that.

Why sort of?
Well, there is no spam, just quality posts.

However, how many of them?

Once we've removed the incentive from the posters, we witness a mass decrease in posts overall.

There are spammers in other sections, but we must not forget genuienly good posts are incentivized too which makes them quite active unlike Ivory tower which gets a reply once a week or so.

Compared to the other sections which boom with activity.
Besides, since merit was introduced, there really isn't much incentive to spam pointless posts, since you need quality posts in order to rank up.
There is some incentive for people who have already reached certain ranks to spam, as to fulfil their sig. quotas.

My personal opinion is, although there is obviously some negative effects from sig.campaigns they are most certainly good for the forum overall.
They incentivize people to be active.
They help create active threads, sections, SEO rankings etc. etc.

Why do you disagree? Or do you agree  Shocked

This is the official Pornhub casino (as per the blog post from Pornhub.com)
I know it's operated independently however, why don't you guys add Verge to the casino?
Since Pornhub.com already accepted it at their website.

Besides, you presented very scarce information in this theard, you didn't even say which domain name you're using

I would recommend you to have one thread in here, Gambling, this one
Set it up a lot better then this, check other threads from bigger websites and one in the Altcoins section for the token
And that's it

If you have a dozen threads, no one will know where to find information and you'll just be spamming the forum

Well, I've bought XVG some days after news about partnership with Pornhub. This allow me to buy it with discount and this is a good entry point, as long as privacy coins is my goal for following year

XVG is not really a privacy coin..

It's almost entirely traceable over the blockchain.

RingCT would fix this, it's on the roadmap..

1054  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎰 Truegame - First Smart Contract Platform For Lotto & Games of Chance 🎰 on: April 26, 2018, 11:52:00 AM
The TGAME Token will be listed within a few weeks after the end of the ICO on several exchanges. We negotiate with many exchanges from the top 50. The top 50 includes such exchanges as Kucoin and YoBit, cex.io and others. We have an expert on our team who successfully works for the Revain token listing on crypto exchanges. Truegame does not disclose coin listing information until an official announcement has been made due to the policies of the exchanges.

You just copied this from their medium page
https://medium.com/@truegame/pre-sale-is-now-live-c2d9905ebb81

Do you accept affiliates?
Doesn't seem like they do. I did a quick Google search, and the only thing affiliate-related to Truegame is tied to the ICO (it's possible to get an affiliate link for that).

On a different note, taking a look at the site from a mobile device, it seems like everything is nice and neat, though I did notice a minor grammatical error- clicking on "My Account" and then "Transactions", the site shows "Availabe Balance". Other than that, everything functions perfectly, even a bit better than I thought it'd go on a bad device like mine. I don't like the text box outline style a whole lot, but that's just me.

Unlikely.
Since everything is on the blockchain and transparent,  the bigger the affiliate rewards, the bigger the edge.
Though not impossible, they could implement it later on.

Btw, I think this is the longest ICO I've ever seen.
This thread was started half a year ago.

Anyways, I'm getting "Timeout Error" when trying to play Crypto Legends.
1055  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: If you belong in the "Ivory Tower" how do you communicate with everyone else? on: April 26, 2018, 11:39:22 AM
That's just not true.
A lot of people are 'better' than other people.

I don't agree. Valuating people is subjective and everyone has their own characteristics that they value.
You can't judge a fish by it's ability to climb a tree.
If those people lived long enough to survive and reproduce for millions of years, there must be something they are pretty good at, even if that something is just getting along with other people well.

It takes a lot of effort and skill, for example, to do something as a team and explain your views to others.
Some people are just more naturally gifted at it than others. They might have a good temperament and patience for example.

I agree with that.
But saying nobody is better than anyone is just untrue.
You can't say Albert Einstein wasn't better than Anders Breivik.
Therefore, the statement is false.

Currently at 742 sats

Don't think it's going under 640 again

Indeed.

Although putting the translating users on ignore helps with the visibility in the Altcoin section, it's not the solution.
Those are good translations and those are good users (egetrorx, dkbit98,denis-z12...)
We just want a seperated ANN section from the usual Altcoins section.

A lot of us are not interested in ICOs, but are interested in altcoins.
Some are interested in ICOs though.

Both of us suffer in this sort of section division.

Samo jedan prijedlog. Možeš li na kraj linkova umjesto "id_teme.0" dodati "id_teme.new#new".
