That Polo volume is insane. Busoni sitting pretty today.  Shocked

Indeed. Now the price keeps getting pumped going to an all time high of $2 per ETH. This is getting exciting. I am so glad that I have bought ETH earlier when it first started. Now it is a matter of sitting back and watch my profits rise all the way to the moon.  Roll Eyes
11262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: January 23, 2016, 08:38:38 PM

Genesis Mining scammed their customers quite some time ago, so they can't be trusted either.
To grow your bitcoins i would advice you to trade.

Trading is a great way to grow your BTC only if you know how to do it well. If done wrong, you might lose more than what you could earn. About Genesis Mining, may I ask for proof about scam accusations?  Smiley
11263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: January 23, 2016, 08:16:22 PM
Yes I buy and collect bitcoins and wait for a high price to sell them.
Now price is down from 450 usd to 389 usd.

Yeah we must be patient to wait bitcoin price increases into high value. But it is so terrible to see the price goes down so much

It makes me sad to see price go down exponentially over the last weeks since Hearn left the Bitcoin space. After that, there are numerous articles from the media (including Techradar) about this situation which in fact made some users to sell or dump their BTC. As a result of that price has gone down, and it has not recovered to the $450 mark. I am waiting for price to get back up to the way it was, but I guess that in the meantime it would be best to buy Bitcoins at these cheap prices.  Undecided

All that is left to do is wait for the next block halving and hope to see a boom in price.
11264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: January 23, 2016, 07:56:12 PM
just try to growing your bitcoin on cloud mining site

Most cloud mining out there are scams which only leaves to 2 probably legit ones which are Hashnest and Genesis Mining. However, if you do want to grow your Bitcoins fast, then just buy hashrate at low price in Hashnest, get miner earnings and then sell that hashrate at a higher price. Repeat the process and you will have a plenty amount of BTC.  Smiley

You buy DOT for BtC or LtC at cryptopia.

Thanks. Does it mean that the more DOT I have, the more votes it would be for CasinoCoin to get listed at the exchange?  Huh
11266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Affordable motherboard for GPU mining? on: January 23, 2016, 07:17:30 PM

Some MSI motherboards have 7 PCIE slots, like G41, G45, GD55 or GD65.  I bought the MSI Z77A GD55 for $160 two years ago. I sold it for $180 a few weeks ago. They are in demand.

Great! I have a look into them and check which one would be suitable to start mining according to my budget. About the ideal power supply for the GPUs, how do I know how many watts PSU do I need for lets say 6 or 7 GPUs? I just want to know since I don't want to waste money on a bigger watt power supply, when I could have bought one that meets the wattage requirements for the GPUs.  Smiley
11267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LiteDoge - Community coin | No premine | Very fast | New thread on: January 23, 2016, 07:13:05 PM

Not at all dead...until our new wallet, you need a litedoge.conf file in the APPDATA directory with some addnodes.  Once the new wallet is released you will not need the addnodes anymore.

if you need some addnodes, here is a list that you can add: http://pastebin.com/FJDYtMVw

Thanks for your help. I have made the conf file and added some nodes. After a while, wallet started syncing! Now I have 16 active connections to the LDOGE network. That is a relief. I thought that I was going to lose all my hard earned coins. Can't wait for the next wallet release.  Grin
11268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AppleBytes - the cryptocurrency for the arts! on: January 23, 2016, 07:09:38 PM

pending refers to either mined or minted coins. they should be available after x amount of blocks (depending on coin specs)

.

security certificate for has expired
http://music.artbyte.me/

But the issue is that I have waited after a certain amount of blocks and still nothing. Everyday, I sync the wallet and try to make a rescan (also tried a re indexing of the block chain) but still no luck. I have even deleted the block chain data from within the appdata directory and the issue remains the same. By not having a repairwallet or checkwallet command from within the debug window, I cannot verify or repair such issue.  Sad

do you have more info on those coins? what is the transactions associated with them?
unless the chain hasnt moved since this problem started, they should not be pending.

All I know is that those coins come from AppleBytes (ArtByte) orchard. I just go and place my address in there everyday for free ABY. But still, I have around 600 ABY pending. It would be great if I could repair my wallet from within the client, but I guess that dev missed the part to add repairwallet command.  Sad

ETH's value is rising surely starting this morning, and just a few minutes ago, the market volume surpassed LTC.

http://imgur.com/yUkYbsG

Looks like it's going to be a very eventful weekend for ETH.

Impressive. It has just surpassed Litecoin in marketcap. It will only be a matter of time when it could even beat BTC's marketcap. But I am just being too optimistic. This would take time in order to bypass BTC's marketcap and eventually replace it.  Grin
11270  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] CLOUDMINR on: January 23, 2016, 06:42:47 PM
I can "believe" being hacked his site and tweeter but i cant understand why  when his forum name is only "legit" way left for contact with us he need to delete all his post. Goal is to remove all traces and run.

Still its "better" i invested in ponzi site like CLOUDMINR and not in "legit and safe" like Bitcoincludservices because both turned to scamers just difference in price made my ROI faster and losses minimal. Still both sites work and accept new orders and take ppl BTC.

About "punish" for scam im not worry. If you live like criminal you never end good. Soon or later you pay for it...

Hi,

bitcoincloudservices.com stopped my payouts last year (2015) after about 5 months of a one year contract. Definitely scam.

But they still accept new "customers".

Nobody there who wants to make them pay?

With what happened to cloudminr and now Bitcoin Cloud Services would mean that cloud mining services will never be trusted again unless they tend to prove themselves legit at all. The only ones that appear to be legit are Hashnest and Genesis Mining. But it could all change, so cloud mining is a very risky investment. I know how hard it is to not getting paid. Believe me, I have been through a number of scams from alleged cloud mining companies and lost a plenty amount of BTC. If it wasn't for that, I would have had 1 BTC by now.  Sad

Sorry for your loss. I hope that you could recoup your losses.

Hi there.

I have a couple of questions that i wasn't able to answer looking around. I'm pretty new to ethereum, i'm studying fundamentals and i was interested in setting up a node. Does that have any benefit? Is that a way to *mine* (i know eth is PoW right now) eth?
Also, can someone explain the inflation rate? I read around that was dependent on the number of btc from the ipo, but i didn't really understand what is the actual inflation rate.

Thanks to whoever is gonna answer my questions Smiley

Well one thing for sure is that you don't mine ETH with just a node but instead, you will be contributing to the Ethereum network just like you would do with other crypto currencies. ETH can be mined with GPUs (graphics cards) and the better the GPU, the more ETH you will get. It all depends on the hashrate you would get for that specific CPU. For instance, I would recommend AMD Radeon R9 GPUs, as they are usually best for this task.  Cheesy

About the inflation rate, maybe this would help: https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/3hz1ou/misinformation_about_eth_supply_and_inflation_rate/

digging deeper casino already has over 600000 DOT votes
https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Home/Voting

Maybe casino is already close to being listed after being reviewed.

Pardon the distraction, really want to see this coin  succeed.
In anycase, i have some DOT ready to go if you need more.

Submitted a ticket to cryptopia this morning

That is great! I am ready to vote for CasinoCoin to get listed on that exchange, but how do I acquire DOT? I guess I cannot vote for CSC without it. Is this another coin where you could buy and use it for votes?  Huh

It's all over and done with........ for now. We can't change the past so meh.

Let's wait and see what Q4 2015 and Q1 2016 hold for us if it's a repeat of Q3 then I'd have to call "bullshit" on the integrity of the "company" and the Dev.

We will see, everyone just chill.

as the same small investor here we are following the rules and decisions, unless we are big shareholder.

you are not alone here, and you are not the only one shareholder

even i've been here for long time.

I may not be a shareholder yet but I am about to become one. Watching this thread closely each day, I sometimes ask myself why hasn't BTC been paid to shareholders yet for Q3, but I guess it is only a matter of time and patience. Only then we could tell if this coin is another pump and dump scam or not. You might want to hold some AMBER just in case something exciting happens.  Roll Eyes
11275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW, Darksend and InstantX on: January 23, 2016, 04:48:26 PM
Dash Block Size Increase to 2 MB Has Been Accepted

While the Bitcoin debate around the block size continues the alternative crypt currency Dash, formerly known as DarkCoin, has shown how a consensus about an increase of the block size can be reached quickly and efficiently.

http://cryptomining-blog.com/6440-dash-block-size-increase-to-2-mb-has-been-accepted/

And that was totally a quick consensus in my opinion, since Bitcoin is still having issues with getting this whole Block size issue solved. Big miners and some users of the community have not gone to an agreement to make this happen for BTC. Luckily, DASH has achieved this quickly and it shows us that true democracy could be achieved.  Grin

What is the fastest miner for AMD processors now a days ? please help me. I want to mine with cpu again

I am quite not sure but I have tested SweetSpot miner and tried the one called XMGPoolMiner and so far, it has worked faster than sweetspot (at least for me) in an old AMD Turion 64 bit CPU. The difference between sweetspot and XMGPoolMiner is not much, but I usually prefer XMGPoolMiner due to the easy setup process.  Grin

Hey guys I need some help! I tried opening the LDOGE wallet but it appears that it has 0 connections to the LDOGE network. Just in case, I have deleted all the files in appdata directory (made backup of wallet.dat first) and reopened the LDOGE client but still no luck.  Sad

Is LiteDoge dead now?  Huh

Dash started out wanting to make a private coin, but it is so much more now.

The most likely reason for the price rise is because:

...Basically Evolution will enable Dash to offer ease of use services like Paypal, while remaining entirely decentralized.  Dash is the first 2 tiered network, and now it will have a Decentralized Applications Programming Interface, which anyone can plug into to provide services, and at it's foundation, the first service providers will be the wallets which will be able to:

Privately and securely keep all your wallet information, all you have to do to access it is have a user name and password (and I believe 2FA will be coming eventually, it's just started)
Pay your contacts via their user name
Use the same wallet on any device, as non of the information will be on any device but rather on the network
Never lose your wallet, never have to back it up, never have to deal with all that confusing stuff.
Payments can have messages attached to them, so you never have to wonder where the funds came from or where they went, they will automatically be noted.

All this and more ^^^^  Decentralized, encrypted, sharded storage and so much more to come.

So why is Dash rising, well it's because we are one of the two most innovative projects, with a huge user base, with a rock solid, network and the world is just starting to take notice.

Thanks for enlightening me about this situation. Looks like Dash is growing everyday in development and user base. Evolution looks really cool and I will definitely make research to know more about it and Dash. I am just waiting for price to go down a little bit and start investing into it right away.
11279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Affordable motherboard for GPU mining? on: January 22, 2016, 11:35:16 PM
H81 is specifically designed for the GPU mining, it is better than any mother board for this purpose. It can support 6 graphics card.

Apparently, the H81 Pro BTC motherboard is Out of Stock from Newegg. I tried looking for it on ebay or Amazon but the price is much expensive. I guess that I will have to wait in order to get one, or maybe buy a similar motherboard with less PCI slots.  Sad

Hey guys. I am kind of new here to Dash and have not had the time to read more about what is happening on it (all I know is that it focuses on anonymity), but can somebody explain to me why price keeps increasing over these last days? Last time I saw, it was $4.12 per DASH and now it is $5.09 (according to Coinmarketcap) Maybe it will go all the way over to $6....Is there something that I may have missed? Seems that DASH is getting pumped really hard. Too bad that I didn't buy any DASH when prices were at $1. But still I think it could be the right time to buy some.  Smiley
