The only good thing that I like about Gaw Miners was Zencloud and Hashlets. The interface was pretty neat and you could buy or sell hashlets (similar like what you can do with Hashnest). I remember when I used to mine for Hashpoints with my Prime Hashlets. Those were good times.  Smiley

You, sir, are a fucking retard. There was no "mining for hashpoints" going on. Hashlets never existed. Do you know what " scam" means?

Or maybe you're a shill for that other scam you mentioned.

At that time, I was a newbie and didn't have a lot of experience in this field. After some time in the Bitcoin field, I realised that this was all a ponzi/scam and decided to sell my hashlets back for btc.  Cheesy

I remember when I used to mine for Hashpoints with my Prime Hashlets. Those were good times.  Smiley

Good times inside of a probably ponzi scheme are only happening for those that:

a) got in early and get to enjoy the "investments" of those that are jumping on too late into the game

or

b) running said scheme.

Even though it was a scam it was still kinda fun watching your Hashlets everyday filled up with new Hashpoints. The past was past, and after a lot of losses in profit, I've learned my lesson. Now, I'm just trading BTC and alts and selling stuff. I'm sick of so called cloud mining services. Most of them are all scam  Smiley
12142  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: September 25, 2015, 02:54:52 PM
I would just bury a hole somewhere near the back of my house and place a safe/vault with Bitcoin paper wallets and some cash. After that, I'll just cover the hole and forget about it. Then, after a couple of years, redig the hole again, to check my money. I think that's a good way to save money, don't you think?  Roll Eyes

Saving money means not burying your money under the ground. How to save money every month from salary or earnings or how to save money by reducing your every day expenses.

You totally misunderstood the topic. If you have so much surplus money instead of burying invest those money then you may get more profits for your investments.

I too agree with you because saving money is a art of keeping every month some money aside for future use and investments. This one has to start early in the age then he/she can save more money for their retirement age. If you delay then you may need to save more every month.

Thanks for your advice. But just to let you know, I want to save money in a place safe without needing to put it on a bank. I want to avoid banks at all costs. All my transactions are made with cash only and a single debit card (prepaid) to buy things online  Grin
12143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: September 25, 2015, 02:33:40 PM
You can grow your Bitcoins by purchasing a real miner. The newest release of Antminer (S7) from Bitmain is the most energy efficient miner yet. Thus, this will result in less energy costs than previous miners. I'm saving my money to buy one of these.  Grin
12144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin v. Bitcoin on: September 25, 2015, 02:04:59 PM
Litecoin is too risky. Bitcoin is the gold and if bitcoin fail, the silver litecoin will fail after bitcoin. If you have litecoin get some bitcoin too. Or get some bitcoin and no litecoin. Get it?

both of them are very risky investments, because bitcoin has swings in price too and is not yet stable. but i agree that if bitcoin were to fail for any reason then all other altcoins would fail miserably too. because nobody is going to look for a substitute for a failed technology. but this failing is not possible at least for the near future.

At least Ethereum and its clones have their own source code dependant from Bitcoin (I think) If Bitcoin fails, all other alt coins would fail, but Ethereum, Shift and Expanse might still be alive. Just my opinion  Roll Eyes

12147  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: September 25, 2015, 01:35:48 PM
I made a good investment on NEM and sold half of my coins today. Total gain was about 0.15 BTC.

That's very exciting, mate! I wish I could be as lucky as you but I only made 0.001 BTC from trading NXT. Anyways, profit is profit no matter how big or small  Grin
12148  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2016, The Year of Bitcoin? on: September 25, 2015, 12:49:49 PM
I hope 2016 will be the year of Bitcoin, just like 2013. This block halving will be the second time in Bitcoin history, which I hope help the price increase. Market needs more customers, if we bring more people to Bitcoin scene I'm sure it'll help a lot. 250$ is boring, we need 1000$ coins again!

I agree with you, buddy! That's why I'm holding most of my BTC for the next increase in price. When it reaches $1000, I'll be a bitcoinaire!  Grin

It's been 2 days since I sent ETC to the redemption address, but I can't see updates on the ethercoin.cc site. Balance still says zero. Am I doing something wrong? Below, is proof of transaction:

Please help!  Sad

Re mining in a pool do we need to change anything or just keep pointing to the pool?

just keep mining buddy, once we reach block 23000 the difficulty should drop a fair amount faster.

This is excellent work. I like how development and improvements are going on for Expanse. Very active community and dev. I'll be mining soon  Cheesy

What planet are you from? Active dev? https://github.com/expanse-project/go-expanse

Do you actually think that this commit history is "very active" ? Stop with the lies

Well, I'm saying that dev is active considering the fact that it address issues much faster than Ethereum. Compared to Ethereum, they're really slow in development. So, watching this thread I can make that statement. It was just my opinion.  Roll Eyes
12151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The 21 Bitcoin Computer on: September 24, 2015, 11:22:56 PM
Make it US$ 50 to add a good SD card:

https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=10274005

You don't need an ASIC chip that will produce pennies and will never pay for itself.

This computer is very interesting. It is small and very cheap. Makes it the perfect companion for development (and maybe Bitcoin mining) I will look more into this  Grin

Is this the new version? Because when I run it, the version is the same as the one before (based on what the command line says) The command line says Gexp 1.1.3  Huh
12154  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] CLOUDMINR on: September 24, 2015, 09:18:16 PM
I will make a cloud mining service in the future which will be legit and transparent. Mining farm/hardware pictures, pool mining address and photos of our staff will be included as well. All of this is in the works. I want to provide a trustful cloud mining service for the Bitcoin community. I know how hard it is to get scammed (considering the fact that I got scammed a lot of times with Hashprofit, Gaw Miners, Terabox and cloudminr.io) therefore it is best to provide customers with 100% transparency. I hope that my service would become the most reliable and trusted cloud mining service in the world. I hope so... Smiley

What you are describing already exists it is called Hashnest. Unless you have free power you would not be able to compete with the S7 hash that will start trading next month.

Yes. Hashnest is a very reliable cloud mining service provider and mining hardware manufacturer. But basically, what I’m planning to do is to order some Antminer S7 and install them on a separate datacenter that one of my friends own (which runs on solar power) The energy cost would be very little to zero cost due to his solar panel installation. Just waiting for Antminers S7 be to released which will be very soon.  Grin

Looking forward to see CasinoCoin grow. I'm mining and holding this one. It's very promising. Would like to see new casino/gambling sites that would accept CasinoCoin as payment method. That would be cool  Cool
12157  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY xpy.io BTCLend LNC. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: September 24, 2015, 12:57:43 PM
A better alternative to PayScam or Shitcoin would be Peercoin. It has a great community and better development than Paycoin. You can see that Paycoin is already dead because of 2 factors: very low price and poor development. I think I will move all my XPY to Peercoin just to be safe. It's for the sake of my profits  Grin
12158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The 21 Bitcoin Computer on: September 23, 2015, 06:47:53 PM
I like the idea of the Bitcoin Computer (looks awesome) but the only thing is that it is too expensive. With less than $400, I can set up a RPI and a decent miner. It's still good though, as it's a way to encourage other people to get interested on Bitcoin  Smiley
12159  Other / Off-topic / Re: DO YOU HAVE 1 BITCOIN? on: September 23, 2015, 06:28:37 PM
I would considering buying 1 Bitcoin if prices goes down to at least $150 or $100. If that happens, I'll buy and hold it until the price increases back again. This looks nearly impossible, but hey I can dream can't I?  Roll Eyes
12160  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY xpy.io BTCLend LNC. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: September 23, 2015, 05:26:42 PM
I will just hold a small amount of XPY to see how this goes. This is just in case the price goes up. You'll never know when it does happen, so you have to be prepared. If price goes lower, all I can say is goodbye XPY but I'll be safe because I really didn't lose good profits  Roll Eyes
