11301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LiteDoge - Community coin | No premine | Very fast | New thread on: January 15, 2016, 01:28:59 PM

I'm buying whatever I can find as fast as I can...  especially on DOT and LTC markets while they are still there.  Once it goes back to only on BTC market the price is going to go up pretty quickly as it is getting *very* difficult to stake a good amount of these coins as the rewards keep dropping (my opinion).
[/quote]

there are no action in ldoge/ltc market
                          and in ldoge/dot its sold at 125ldoge for 1 dot, almost 0.1sat for 1 ldoge, lol

Furthermore i'm not interested by dotcoin, and any coin who are sold on only one exchange

ldoge need poloniex or bleutrade
[/quote]

LiteDoge needs better exchanges and more trading activity to gain a substantial price increase. It is a very rewarding stake coin, but has very low trading volume. And yes, either Poloniex or Bleutrade (especially Poloniex) might be a great way to move LDOGE's price I think.  Grin

Cryptsy FAILED

Perhaps a good idea to get Cryptsy out of the OP: http://blog.cryptsy.com/
...

I said over 2 months ago to get out and not send GMC there ...

It is quite disappointing to see another exchange go down in the crypto scene. People who have invested into crypto currencies and didn't get the chance to withdraw their balances, are most likely affected. After there were several issues regarding BTC withdrawals from Cryptsy, I knew that this was going towards the same path as Mt. Gox exchange.

Luckily, I was able to get my GMC out of Cryptsy before all of this happened. If not, I would have lost plenty of money there.  Smiley
11303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Emercoin's price is all about hype? on: January 14, 2016, 10:28:00 PM
Pretty much every alt coin is all about the hype. What alt is actually used or useful currently?

In my opinion, Ethereum is a very useful alt coin when it comes to making decentralized applications and smart contract features. But still, Bitcoin will remain at the top in both price and market cap unless a true replacement comes in.  Smiley
11304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Expanse (EXP) - Fair Launch, No ICO, Community DAO, based on Ethereum on: January 14, 2016, 10:07:15 PM
We should have a roadmap soon, although we have been talking about what we are doing the entire time, people do love the roadmaps! This will include everything completed, in progress, and planned.

Having a roadmap is good for the coin but in terms of the whitepaper for EXP, will the official paper be released soon? Just asking for curiosity now that previous whitepaper releases were just public drafts. One thing that I am looking forward to is the Borderless.tech  Looks promising to me.  Cheesy
11305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Emercoin's price is all about hype? on: January 14, 2016, 10:02:59 PM
Goes back to usual in a few days is my guess, although I admit to having done zero review of the actual product.

I hope it does indeed. Because I am waiting for the price to go down a little bit and then buy some EMC. In my opinion, I think prices are a little expensive don't you think?  Roll Eyes
11306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Genesis-mining.com || World's leading hashpower provider! on: January 14, 2016, 09:19:54 PM

Abiky, how does your payout to purchased hashing power break down?
Does it make sense in terms of all the factors that should directly effect payouts?

Im asking you since you are openly willing to state that you would so eagerly recommend Genesis to friends and family.
Surely they would ask you about ROI and you would explain to them the daily/weekly/monthly payout structure.....

So if you wouldnt mind, can you give us your experience on this specific subject?
Thank you in advance

Well, it might be a little difficult to explain in here but I can tell you that most recently my payouts have increased a little compared to when I first started. (Dec 17, 2015) According to my calculations, I should be getting ROI when the contract is close to becoming expired (which is 1 year) but it all depends on different factors such as mining difficulty, etc. Since this is an Accelerated ROI Contract, you don't need to pay for maintenance/electricity fees for the term of the contract (in contrast to lifetime mining contracts)

You can check my BTC address here: https://blockchain.info/address/17L7mPauF9ymGpqBe2HjKM7L48e5qFxMGc

The starting date for my payouts were in the date of December 17, 2015

I hope that I have answered your question correctly.  Smiley
11307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Do you think Emercoin's price is all about hype? on: January 14, 2016, 09:02:26 PM
Since Emercoin's partnership with Microsoft Azure's Blockchain as a Service (BaaS) there has been quite significant changes in the terms of price and marketcap of the same. In just a few days, the price went from $0.06 to $0.12 and now it is worth $0.30 per EMC

Do you think that the result of this price increase is just a matter of hype? Share your thoughts here.

Abiky. For any enquiries about your account please contact us via contact@genesis-mining.com and our support team will take care of you individually. Thank you!

Your Genesis Mining Team

Thanks for your reply. I have contacted support and received response quickly. Everything was fixed and I have my purchased mining contract of 1.5 MH/s back now. Excellent customer service. Would recommend this service to my friends and family.  Cheesy

Can you PM us please with your user details so we can check your account regarding your payouts?

@Genesis-Mining After the site went back online I tried to login to my account, but surprisingly I couldn't access it even with the correct password and email. Then I tried to request a new password (password reset) and got the new one via email however went I successfully log into my account, my purchased mining hashrate contract of x11 is gone! I had 1.5 TH/s and the term was 1 year of mining. Also, payouts log and everything is gone...it looks like my account is a totally new one from start.  Sad

Please help! For your reference, I will include a pdf document where it states the mining contract agreement upon request.
11310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Genesis-mining.com || World's leading hashpower provider! on: January 14, 2016, 12:08:15 AM
Also today got my payment, bit lower due to the Diff increase.

Hope the site will be up tomorrow, do not want negative reports on the crypto news websites.

I hope so too. Genesis Mining has had a pretty good history and reputation in the cloud mining space. It will be disappointing if it turned out to be a scam or ponzi, but as far as I have seen it looks legit. Would be great there could be a market where you could trade your mining hashpower (similar like Hashnest where you can buy and sell your hashrate).  Smiley
11311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Genesis-mining.com || World's leading hashpower provider! on: January 13, 2016, 08:03:28 PM
still not Onlien? Still no Payout ?  Shocked

GM whats wrong?

Did you made sure to check your BTC address where you receive the payouts from mining? You can verify it on the blockchain to make sure of that. At least I have checked mine and as usual payouts are there (for yesterday and earlier)  Smiley
11312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] - NEW BURST OP - MINE WITH YOUR HDD - ATs, AE, P2P MARKETPLACE, and MORE! on: January 13, 2016, 07:16:51 PM
a preview of the Crowetic Cloud with built in BURST wallet integration...

doing more customization and theming now.

Pretty clever. I like the design. So is this going to be like a BURST cloud platform if I am correct? I loved the part that you could access the BURST wallet in there right from the cloud. Now if it could be added the ability to mine BURST via the cloud (like cloud mining) then it would be pretty cool. You can then rent some HDD space to mine some BURST.  Cheesy
11313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MOON] Mooncoin: You know where it's headed! KGW exploit FIXED 4/3/2014 on: January 13, 2016, 01:30:12 PM
Today Cryptsy customers received messages "Cryptsy is closed" and a link to a 'refund' website where customers are being asked their Cryptsy logins and passwords.
Big Vern told it's a phishing attack: https://twitter.com/Cryptsy
Let's wait for more information. Currently all withdrawals and trades are paused at Cryptsy.

I guess the following explains everything (at least for me) This is the message that now appears when going to Cryptsy exchange:

Quote
[There is a phishing attempt going around prompting users to go to a cryptsy-refund website. Do not go to this website or give your login details on any website other than the official Cryptsy website. There were two avenues of the Phishing attempt. One was via SMS, using our provider Twilio and gained entry into our logs and sending ability via a weak password on that account. The passwords on this account have been secured. The other avenue was via email using the same mailing service we use (Mailgun), but was not sent using our account. It is uncertain where the email list for this Phishing attempt was attained from, as we do not show any unauthorized access to our Mailgun account nor our internal systems. We are still investigating this matter. If you were a victim of this phishing, you should log into your account at Cryptsy immediately and do the following: 1. Change your password and enable 2fa if you don’t already have it enabled. 2. Check your pending withdrawals, we currently have withdrawals disabled so if you see one that shouldn’t be there you can request to have it cancelled. Regarding other issues that have been apparent at Cryptsy for the last couple months, I will be making another post to explain what has been happening in the next couple days. BigVern UNTIL WE ARE ABLE TO DETERMINE EXTENT OF THE PHISHING ATTEMPT, ALL WITHDRAWALS ARE PAUSED
11314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: January 13, 2016, 01:22:29 PM

Why would you have to wait with mining ?

Because Genesis Mining is still in maintenance and I was going to purchase some ETH mining hashrate there. Unless there is another ETH mining service, then I could decide on which to invest. But it seems to me that the only one is Genesis by now.  Sad
11315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: January 13, 2016, 01:18:22 PM
Eth traded more than $100000 on 24 hour volume today. Eth is getting a lot of adaption by new people daily. Anyone know more about Elephant over ethereum here? I heard that they're also launching a new coin over Eth. Even eth gets huge support outside, and trade volume is rising daily, the value seems not be rising that much faster than the volume. Hope to see Eth in the moon soon.

This is a very interesting fact and all of the things that are going onto Ethereum (like price rise and volume) make me think that it is just hype because the Homestead release is near, or I could be wrong? Maybe it has to do with Microsoft's Azure Blockchain as a Service Platform with Consensys that uses Ethereum technology.

I wanted to invest in ETH mining but I guess that I will have to wait until Genesis Mining maintenance is finished. I have seen rumors that mining reward will increase by 100% when we get to Homestead, but I don't know if it will really happen.  Smiley

So XT failed and bitcoinclassic is gavins new altcoin? He is going full BryceWeinerShitcoinfactory now  Cheesy

LMAO -->  https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin_Classic/comments/40qbrt/xtnodescom_now_displays_bitcoin_classic_its_ready/

What the hell? Another Bitcoin? So they are going to keep making new Bitcoin alt coins for what? To make things even worse? I don't believe this will ever solve Bitcoin's block size issue, but looking into Segregated Witness proposal, seems very promising to me especially the part about fighting transaction malleability.  Cheesy
11317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CSC] ♠ CasinoCoin v2.0 ♥ New Wallet ♦ 2+ Years Old ♣ on: January 13, 2016, 12:48:32 PM
I received the same phishing email.  Clearly, Cryptsy has been hacked and all the user information stolen.

If you have used the same password on other sites, change your passwords now.

What is scary, they have all the user verification data, such as proof of ID, proof of address etc.

Then again, this might all just be staged in order to hide the fact that the owner of Cryptsy has run off with the BTC before his estranged wife gets her hands on them.

So has Cryptsy became another Mt. Gox? This is something similar that what happened before in the past and damaged Bitcoin's reputation. That is why it is advised not to leave any of your coins balances on an exchange and move them to a safe place like a paper wallet immediately. Only deposit the amount of coins that you would want to trade and after a successful one, withdraw everything right away.  Smiley

edit: Personally I think you should make the www.MUEcloud.xyz site active, as it's a great looking site, and will definitely be visited by potential investors.

Good idea. I will put it back online as soon as I have the time to do so today. There is a lot of work to be done in making the Crowdfunding Campaign in StartJoin. My partner and I are trying to make it look as legit as possible and gain trust from investors. I hope that once it is settled, we could reach the target goal and officially launch our service.

@bizzyb Do you think the target goal is to much to ask or is it reasonable? Target goal would be $5000
11319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Genesis-mining.com || World's leading hashpower provider! on: January 13, 2016, 01:19:04 AM
is genesis become scam?

I don't think so but it does seem suspicious to me that the site is still under maintenance even if it has already been 2 days. Well maybe they are working on something big, but keep alert. We don't know what surprises will lie ahead.  Roll Eyes
11320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Engineering MOOC on: January 12, 2016, 10:23:24 PM
Stanford starts new lab course on building Bitcoin-enabled applications. Learn how to rewire internet services on the basis of Bitcoin. Prior background in Python within a Unix environment is recommended, but no previous Bitcoin knowledge is necessary.
http://bitcoin.stanford.edu

Stanford may be offering a MOOC version later this year if a lot of people are interested. So if you are interested in the MOOC go here http://bitcoin.stanford.edu/mooc to express your interest.

This is something very interesting. I have signed up for this to become a reality. If we could get more users into it, I am sure that Stanford will offer the MOOC version. Becoming certified in Bitcoin Engineering would be a great addition to your resume/portfolio for future Bitcoin companies/businesses.  Smiley
