Can anyone confirm.. australia to usa has free trade agreemnts that include metals right ?
I might be interested

This might answer your question.

"Precious Metals (including Bullion)

Under the GST Act, gold (99.5% fine), silver (99.9% fine) and platinum (99% fine) in an investment form are precious metals.  (Fineness quoted is the minimum that applies).

Under the GST Act, at the time of importation, precious metals are not subject to assessment for, or payment of, GST.  Imported precious metals, whether bullion or coins, have a free duty rate, which means no duty is payable.

Precious metals must be in a form that is tradeable on the international bullion market.  Precious metals in an investment form carry a mark or characteristic that guarantees its fineness and quality.

Further information on precious metals can be obtained from http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page5350. asp#e946

Proof coins, other collectable coins and jewellery made of gold, silver or platinum are not precious metals (duty and/or GST is payable unless a concession or exemption applies)."

From http://customs.gov.au/faq/ProhibitedRestrictedGoods.asp. How this applies to Canadian coins, I don't know.

Hopefully they would count as duty free. You can see usps.com for shipping rates.

Edit: With insurance for one coin, 2.1BTC shipped to AUS with Global Express Guaranteed (est. 1-3 business days) or 4.1BTC for two.

Don't pass up this deal, 2BTC shipped is only slightly above spot price if you factor in $40 for shipping overnight and insurance. These are nice looking coins and a great way to hold gold.

I personally would prefer the higher quality myself. Do you know how much cheaper the alternative minter would be?

I too would be interested in at least 10 of the lowest possible s/n coins if the price will be at or below $25/coin.

I would probably be able to sell them for around 10-12$ each... Maybe less...

Would you still be able to offer multi-signature with the lower cost coins? My guess is if the exchange rate continues to head up close to $1000, I think higher quality will sell. If it drops back to the $400-$500s, then the lower cost coins are the way to go. I would like to see the higher quality coins, but the market is tough right now. Smoothie didn't even get face value for his recent auction of funded 1/10 rolls. After the auction he lowered the price on his website. This could all change mattering the price of BTC.

Antique copper would be nice.
1145  Economy / Goods / Re: (WTS) Freedom Girl silver rounds 1oz (BU) x20 total - $22 each on: June 02, 2014, 10:02:48 PM
If these were anything else other than SBSS rounds, I would have bought a couple. The only reason is that Chris Duan is a total douche, a complete sellout to his own ideologies. He's also heavily against bitcoin, understanding very little about the technology but talks a lot of shit about it.

Anyways, do you have any other silver to sell besides SBSS?

Unfortunately, not right now. Only these and the gold Maples.

No more coins left.

I'll put the four special coins on eBay starting with the Red next week (Yes, I know I've been saying that for something like three week, but this time, it will happen Tongue )

Wow.. that went fast.  I could have sworn there were 35 or so left as of today. Glad I got my two in.

Are you planning on making a new design soon, now that you're sold out?  I'd love to have them limited again to around the same edition size.

Next batch will be lower denomination on different material with the same design and will be cheaper.

I am currently working on a new design that will be released in January 2015, since I plan to make a different design once per year.

Might have some surprise before the end of the year tho ! Wink

If you are taking reservations put me down for the first ten of your next denomination Smiley.

i have like a presentiment that is the last week and shipments will begin around next week !
to be serious for a moment the official and unofficials teams (china, US, europe) are in the process of finding the right solutions for everyone
besides the issues with x3 backplane i think it there's other things to take into consideration for others of us like getting a plug'n'play product, the hosting platforme, the refunds, re-sellers program ....
all that just to reflect and give good vibes to the staffs and costumers and STOP with ur conspiracies about alex and the people of eastern europe!

Achraf Bouzidi

Not a conspiracy theory.  And Eastern Europe has really nothing to do with it.  A criminal is a criminal no matter where he's from. I could say he's from New York and it wouldn't make a difference.  Got some close Bulgarian, Romanian and Ukranian friends, so he can be from Mars for all I care.

It's like you're defending dropping off your child at a daycare center run by a known and registered child molester. Wouldn't something like that give you pause? Would you still defend him?

All of this stuff came up when Blackarrow was selling FPGA boards from cardreaderfactory.com. You can read all about it in the Lancelot sales thread. It turned out not to be a problem then and I doubt it will be a problem now. We can all agree that this could have been handled better but I don't think bringing this stuff up again is fruitful at this point.

Last week I've asked my developer to create a little utility to print coin insert for my coins. It is based on the Casascius Bitcoin Address Utility. It is really simple and create perfect round key and rectangle address for my coins and hologram.

You have three download options:

Option One: Setup (Install to desired folder and create a shortcut on the desktop)
http://www.cryptolator.com/Cryptolator_Coin_Insert_Generator_-_Setup.exe

Option Two: File Only (No Setup, just extract the file to a desired folder)
http://www.cryptolator.com/Cryptolator_Coin_Insert_Generator_-_File_Only.zip

Option Three: Source Code (If you wanna take a look at the code, or build it yourself in Visual C#)
http://www.cryptolator.com/Cryptolator_Coin_Insert_Generator_-_Source_Code.zip

Give me your feedback ! Smiley

Works well on a Win8 box. It's much easier to use than Ravenbit or Serpcoin tools (no offense to either of them). I still prefer multi-signature. Maybe a BIP38 encryption option would be a good addition for someone that prefers a pre-attached hologram instead of DIY at home.

Can you elaborate on BIP38 ? (Sorry I'm at work, so no time yet to search on that, hehe, and I think it would be usefull information for some peoples)

It basically allows someone to encrypt their private key so they can send it to you to install under the hologram. They don't need to worry about you seeing because it needs a password to decrypt the private key. Here is a link for more info https://bitcoinpaperwallet.com/bip38-password-encrypted-wallets/ and https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0038.mediawiki.

BA better get a move on, it's getting real now.

Quote
ASICMINER has said it will order the equivalent of 30,000 TH/s of wafers each month. Furthermore, the Avalon fourth-generation 28nm chip is set to tapeout soon and AntMiner’s S3 chips are projected to be out this July.

Beijing-Shenzhen company HashRatio actually has the first successful implementation of ASICMINER’s third-generation ‘Friedcat’ (烤猫) 40nm chip in a 768 GH/s unit and are ready to produce them in volume right away, without the need to take pre-orders.

Taken from: http://www.coindesk.com/private-china-meeting-bitcoin-mining-industry-leaders/

If this is accurate and ASICMINER alone is going to be producing 30 PH of new hashing machines a month it's past time to get out of the mining game.  They would nearly double the current hashrate in two months.  No matter how many machines are withdrawn from hashing difficulty is going to go supernova.

Now if only the exchange rate of BTC went supernova as well  Cheesy.
