Be sensible, there are two people who went to their location and reported on it.  There are multiple people involved in answering questions.  They have a physical address.  If you have a passport and some money you can fly out there too I'm sure and have a look around.

It's not a scam.  They've said exactly what the problem is.  I know people are upset and tired from waiting, I'm waiting too.  But just go look at the BFL boards and see what Josh is saying.  They need to create a new board for the Imperial Monarch because it uses too much power.  That puts them back another couple weeks, then they have to still put components on those boards.  It's the same issue BA is having but different.

I'm sure they don't want to be compared to BFL, and hopefully they get their sh*t together and start sending miners out soon.  But it's not a scam.  Be patient.  Update probably this time tomorrow.  Let's see what they say.

I'm not saying it IS a scam, but the burning question is why have the x-1's not shipped?

This. X3 problems should not delay the X1 as they use different hashing board and backplane. The cases were supposed to be in stock by now yet still no update on them.

I can only assume they ran into a technical glitch with the X1 as well.

From what I read the X1's where 100% done and working except they where waiting on a Case so if you didn't want a case they could send them out straight away (If you contacted them  - which I and others did) .. but they haven't send anything out.

I have just received documents with a lot of info about the director of BA. The company is actually registered in Hong Kong not inland PRC which makes it much easier to chase it legally. The owner is Romanian living in UK. From all the info related to director it seems that the company may be highly suspicious. If things won't get clarified shipping/refund wise within next to weeks that would make it pretty obvious it is a well designed scam... I won't post more info here because I don't want to get censored :-)

Said nothing what would prove your point, i guess a lot of people know where is he from and where company registered - obviously it's stated on the website. Rest is just another unproved hater bla bla. Otherwise please provide proof.

I believe that it would be a horribly designed scam. Why would they waste all the time/manpower/money to make a competitive asic when they could have simply disappeared 6 months ago when they got the majority of their preorders?

So lets make a bet, I bet .0001 that there is a software issue with the X-1's. Anyone willing to bet otherwise?

is the bet null and void if X-1's never actually exist? (you would be betting against the state of a non-existent product)

BA better get a move on, it's getting real now.

Quote
ASICMINER has said it will order the equivalent of 30,000 TH/s of wafers each month. Furthermore, the Avalon fourth-generation 28nm chip is set to tapeout soon and AntMiner’s S3 chips are projected to be out this July.

Beijing-Shenzhen company HashRatio actually has the first successful implementation of ASICMINER’s third-generation ‘Friedcat’ (烤猫) 40nm chip in a 768 GH/s unit and are ready to produce them in volume right away, without the need to take pre-orders.

I guess we should be up to 6TH per X3 now? Let's see how high it goes with all of these competitors coming to the market (some with LCDs too  Wink).

30 May 2014

Minion ASIC
We have dispatched all Minion orders.
Prospero X1
The first Prospero X1 miner was sent to the first customer.
The first version has included a Raspberry Pi. This is a temporary solution until we will have the clearance from our engineering team that the control board is bug free and passes the endurance test.
The X1-Miner was produced at full spec and contains an aluminium case. It does not contain the LCD. However, we will equip the miner with LCD and Touch Screen once the control board will be incorporated.
Mass production in under way and shipping will start from the beginning of next week.
Prospero X3
The technical issues discovered with the backplane PCB were not fully resolved.
The 3 teams pursued different avenues with the same goal and encouraging progress was made. One team will be completing a brand new design by tomorrow. The 2nd version of the PCB will be also ready in the next 2-3 days. The other teams continued the debugging process and replaced some of the components with view to stabilise the performance.
Note:
There are no Prospero miners X1 or X3 which are hashing on any of our facilities. Our first priority is to deliver the miners to our customers.

Thats good that some progress is coming.

Just to make it clear.  We customers don't care about LCD as long as the unit hashes.  Most of these units are going to sit in some dungeon, someone's basement, or in some datacenter, where nobody will be looking at them.   It doesn't need any of these gimmicks.

In other news, alpha-t decides to work on the important features and decides to drop LCD, wireless, and other non-essential features.  I think they are making the right decision.

I admit they are pretty. Although, I seem to remember their product page saying they would include standoffs for stacking?  Now checking the page, that is gone and these unit do not seem to be able to be stackable?  Does anyone else remember this claim?  How the heck are we supposed to organize 10 to 20+ of these things if they don't stack?

i liked the 3D-printed cases better  Shocked

What's with the glow around the power cable? Or is that just my bad laptop screen acting up? I'd like to get an idea of scale. Are the final dimensions posted?

Are they / will they be notifying people as they ship?

Thanks, Bobsag3
