1141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Source of bitcoins on: June 04, 2017, 05:28:07 AM
I'm also thinking about the same thing bro. I wonder how to provide a legal proof to show you that you own a btc. But I don't think right now you need a proof to show you that you own a bitcoin, because we are exchanging money here freely.

just provide transactyion data, i saved all my log from kraken for example, in case they need proof i show them allt he sepa that i did, i don't think you need to provide more info about your bitcoin

i would just provide info about the fiat that i exchanged, my bitcoin amount should remain private, i don't know how they would react if you declare also your bitcoin total amount

in any casew you are not dealing with drug, bitcoin it's not illegal, you are safe from that point of view
1142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: cryptocurrencies are not just stores of value, they are networks on: June 04, 2017, 05:26:06 AM
the blockchain is the internet of money that carry the possibility to share information and storage, the real potential is the blockchain here

that graph show the true, while there were dump the pump in the end always come victorious, the average increase per year is moving upward, the absolute trend is a bull run

all those crash were done for acquiring more bitcoin, by the whales

The underlying assumption between every projection on cryptocurrencies is the rate of adoption. If adoption fails to take off, Bitcoin will die a slow death. Only when the adoption increases significantly does the network effect kick in.

Apparently this is correct. Though price appreciation over rate of adoption shows positive results as of now, we still can't be sure that this would be the case for the next coming months or years. Adoption is very critical for the growth of the network since the little minnows that support the reef is needed for the ecology to thrive.

That sounds a lot like "we need fresh flesh, greater fools to come in (the minnows) to keep our early adopter wealth to grow".

eh i doubt it, because greater fools coming mean that early adopters sold their wealth, there is no farther adoption without better distribution
1143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you using low fees? on: June 04, 2017, 05:20:40 AM
i almost never use the recommended fee, too expensive, unless i have to send an important transaction, that i need the confirmation to happen fast without delay

but usually i choose 50% of the needed fee, i find it a good comprise and it's often confirmed relatively quickly, it appear also that some pool are confirming low fee transaction, check the mining forum...

The open x1 slots mean you can use 6 2 slot cards without risers but the spacing is off so would you be able to use this motherboard in a case?

By the looks of it YES but what kind of case ?, id would use one of the really good open air frames with lots of room .

The open x1 slots mean you can use 6 2 slot: it should sense are all you can use in this case is risers card.. I want one and wonder how much it will cost, if it even hits the US .

I want one of the new AM4 boards that has yet to go on sell in the US ...http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/mb/introduction.php?S_ID=882

i have a new design in mind for a compat air frame, that can handle easily all the 14 gpu while remaining with the same space occupied

6 cpu behind the psu/motherboard and 6 gpu in front of the six one behind the psu/motherboard, i just give you an idea

problem is the mobo is sitting in the middle and heat is a problem. I tried that setup with 4 front and 4 back ... doesnt work so well.

you need to add 3 140mm front fan to exhaust the heat and maybe other 3 in front of the first 6 gpu, overheating motherboard should be something really hard to do

with my idea the first 6 would end at half of where the motherboard is, and the other start from there in front of them
1145  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is forming a bubble and that is an indisputable fact on: June 03, 2017, 05:38:53 AM
this is not a bubble, only delusional bear can think that, they just want to short toacquire cheap coin

the last dump was just a correction, a big one but a correction, the value increased very slowly, and always returned to the same level after the dump

this is a indisputable signal of the value skyrocketing, and not a sign of any bubble by how the thing look, a bubble for me is only when the value return to the same point as before the pump started, pretty much what happened in 2013
1146  Economy / Economics / Re: Future of the BTC on: June 03, 2017, 05:36:08 AM
none of what you said is true, in some case is the opposite

first bitcoin is not outdated compared to other cyrpto, and the code can always be upgraded you know

second other coin have no better security, they are copy paste of bitcoin, based all on the blockchain, some of them may have quantum resistance due to how the hash function work thye use 512 bitc for example, like nexus

third they are far more unstable than bitcoin, and will never be suited for shopping anything, they are not accepted for this reason

anonimity again this is not that good as you think, with anonimity the receiver can not prove if the sender send the money if he want to cheat there is no track, nothing
1147  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Where TO Buy Bitcoin Miner ? on: June 03, 2017, 05:31:05 AM
You do realize you would be better off just buying some bitcoin on an exchange, don't you?

not really, it's easy to see that mining is always better than buyng, who is buying simply can't mine for whatever reason

it's the same argument for the altcoin, when you mine you pay your bitcoin way less than when you buy

for example with an antminer s9, that can generate 1 bitcoin in 160 days, i pay for that only $250(convert the electicity cost for 5 cent price), isnstead you are paying $2k+, the difference is that i need to wait 160 days
1148  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: creation of a new altcoin - legal requirements? on: June 03, 2017, 05:26:11 AM
i would not put me in much trouble if i was going to do this, i mean they can't even know what you are doing with this coin, there is no way to know

if you create this coin with ring signature feature like monero, will be even more impossible to know about, why bother taking in consideration the legallity of this?

it's not different than when the early adopted mine tons of bitcoin, do you thin they were aksing about the legallity of bitcoin back then? i think no, and it doesn't make sense

these altcoin all born without value, if someone is willing to pay for it, is no different than selling stuff at your home that you produced
1149  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Will Bitcoin will be declare as legal or not ? on: June 03, 2017, 05:22:52 AM
do you think that if they declare it illegal, i wold not use it anyway if i was an indian citizen?

again this is the same old argument, they can't track soemone who is using bitcoin, they will never be able to do so, if i pay for somethign abroad and receive it in india by using bitcoin, there is no way they can know about it

banning bitcoin and make it illegal is just a way to put fear in people, because they fear themselves bitcoin, and want to restrict the usage, but you can still use it without any problems
1150  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Why is the Wallet Balance different from Blockchain.info ? on: June 03, 2017, 05:19:42 AM
probably because blockchain.info can't display hidden address amount, in fact i have the same problem, i can't see my remaining coin if i go to blockchain info to check my balance of the cold storage

and i have already asked about solving this issue with another blockexplorer, but apparently no one can take into account these address
1151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BIP148 has been deployed by slushpool on: June 03, 2017, 05:15:47 AM
Slushpool has added BIP148 voting option for its miners + the option to mine on BIP148 chain if and if there is a chain split after August 1.

They have 4.3% hashrate and I think this move would give more support to Segwit activated BIP148.

Guess Antpool would never be able to grasp the philosophical notion of pool neutrality.

https://slushpool.com/news/new-voting-option-bip148-has-been-deployed-feel-free-to-vote/

4.3% hashrate is a good start, but if we add a Bitfury, thats another 7.9%. But the condition as far as I remember was that the Core devs must add the UASF code officially within the next Core release.

If we manage to get Bitfury on board then things get really serious because we enter the 10%+ zone.

Anything beyond 10% is interesting to see because snowball effect beggins.

if that is the condition then it will already doomed because core dev tema is all against UASF, just check their opinion on the matter

i thought that the UASF don't need core dev to do anything, they just rely on node to force segwit
1152  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Baikal A-900 Giant on: June 03, 2017, 05:11:43 AM
sorry 1 btc doesn't make sense, i would rather keep it for myself, generate that bitcoin and sell it later for additional btc

the point of selling this is to have an edge on the possible return that this thing still can give to me

look at qubit is very profitable now i'm making 0.015, you are asking for less than 3 months roi....this asic will not be replaced soon by anything on algo like qubit and quark

you have plenty of time to roi

1154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HLM] HELIUM - PRE NOTICE on: June 02, 2017, 01:29:33 PM
Slack is annoying, not everyone is using it so all info should make it here considering it started here.

Anyway, what's wrong with spreadx11 algo?

If it will be plain old x11, many people will just dump and move on.

agree keep the current algo, we can retain our optimization, and don't waste money again on private thing...

1156  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Baikal A-900 Giant on: June 02, 2017, 10:15:33 AM
selling this asic, this thing still earn 0.01 so my price will be based on roi time and not USD value, i'm aiming to give 6 months roi which i find it a resoanable

price = 2BTC shipping is included, i ship everywhere

Problem is, that doesn't figure difficulty rises into it and the fact the daily is high on a pump right now which will get back to the same pricing as X13/X15 as always.

Come down a bunch on that and some of us might be interested.

this is the same as saying "that doesn't figure the value increase which could make the roi even less" right now this thing earn 0.015, this is 4-5 month roi

the a-900 giant is still the king of all the algo xX algo minus x11

when i paid for this i paid for something with 6 months roi, then i was lucky that dash increase and i roied early, but those things are unpredictable in crypto

my offer is fair i believe

1158  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should bitcoin price in the system will stabilize at a current rate? on: June 02, 2017, 05:58:53 AM
bitcoin will never be stable as long as the value is abcked by supply and demand, there will be always swings here and there, but what we want is more adoption to have more stability not the perfect stabiulity

the more bitcoin is in many hands the less fluctuation you will get, certainly bitcoin don't need stability now hen it's still very small and need to be bigger and stronger

i would not be surprised to see the same swing we have now when we hit value like 50k-100k range
1159  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: [NEW] Looking for answers, please help. on: June 02, 2017, 05:55:12 AM
you can try to mine in solo and see your luck but it will take a very tough patience to wait for the block to be mined if ever, with the current diff trend it will also be very frustarting, there is a chance that you will never find anything

a pool is recommended unless you can produce 1 block every two weeks, this is my startegy here, so you can have the chance to hit one before the diff change at least...

Can you even still mine?

yes it's profitable, bitcoin mining is not the best mining but it's not bad now with the current bitcoin value
1160  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Window blind solar panels on: June 02, 2017, 05:50:42 AM
well that is really nice to have, but still the problem with solar panels isn't only about space, but about cost, if this things maintainthe same cost per watt delivered, will be pointless again

i fell the whole solar panel thing should cost 1/10 less than now, to make it worth buying one for saving, and i bet this will cost even more then a regular panel because it's less cumbersome than a standard solar panel
