Just wondering how somebody can loan /shitpost  on the account.
Look like they all need to first learn about the importance of the account before learning about bitcoin/crypto related stuff.

1164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: ⭐💬 [BOUNTY] iCumulate (ICU): Multifunctional Social Investment Platform 💬⭐ on: December 02, 2018, 05:25:57 AM
I do not see stakes got updated for signature  nor did Sylon responded to my PM.
I am leaving this campaign.

PS: I put signature for a week but I am not continuing forward.
1165  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Understand the signature before wearing it on: December 01, 2018, 12:44:07 AM
You are fully responsible for the signature that you are wearing (Whether you understand it or not). You are supposed to check the company ,links in your signature and other aspects of it. You can be banned if your paid signature contain phishing links or get -ve trust if you are putting signature of shady/ponzi project.

Phishing is bannable. Probably everyone who wore it would be banned.

Nope, It will not destroy bitcoin but it will might destroy some of the users financially who are not accurate in predicting.
1167  Other / Meta / Re: Merit source application of Coolcryptovator on: November 29, 2018, 06:59:40 PM
I will like to see you in DT as well.
With QuestionAuthority removed as Merit source, we are reduced by 1000 source Merits. I guess we can get 5-10 Merit sources added for this purpose.
Merit circulation is currently low, might more hands in distributing them might increase their circulations.
Best of luck.

PS: Actually I recently saw your application. I was surprised to see my quoted post there.  I cannot describe how happy I felt in featuring in your application.
1168  Other / Meta / Re: Cool down time after sending a Merit. on: November 29, 2018, 06:44:25 PM
@OP

Might be theymos is not worried at all if you send double merits because merit circulation is low. In fact he encourage merit sources to send more to deserving post if they have difficulty in exhausting their source quota.
By sending double , if you got exhausted of your sMerits then this thread by suchmoon will help you.
1169  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: asking about the site on: November 29, 2018, 06:33:34 PM
I guess best way for a newbie to start is to read Newbies - Read before posting and you should be aware of forum rule and forum different sections that you can find in this thread.

You can read One pager for Bitcointalk forum , created by me to give as much information in a single page of word document.

1170  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where do you watch new coins? on: November 29, 2018, 06:19:12 PM
Where are you interested in new coins?

No. not at all. Currently so many scams in crypto market , I am not interested in them.
Ok, Even the coin is not scam then you have to analyze them whether they will deliver in future or not. These are very tricky situation require lot of time and maybe luck so that succeed in future.
Only few things can cause  project to fail but lot of effort required for successful product.

Altcoin announcement board is good place to watch them.

And if you have lot of time and you do mind in collecting all shit for FOMO then you can check the bounties sections too.

1171  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Private key on: November 27, 2018, 10:37:05 PM
Hi ! I would like to know if it is possible to know the private key of a bitcoin address.

Thanks !

When you see a bitcoin address what did come to your mind?  Did you think for this address private key is also created afterwards after creating address?
Did you think that  you can generate private key of address by hit and trial?

Actually , Private key is created first and then public key and then address are generated. They are generated by complex mathematical function so you cannot backtrace them. That's why you should not believe in any third party that is providing you directly the wallet address (because they already have private key and they are in full control of your funds)

You can try your luck in Digital goods.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=93.0

Remember not to forget to use a reputed escrow. Below is the list (check if they provide service in digital goods)

You can check the below topic also, if it helps.

1173  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are you getting addicted to cryptocurrency? Lets help you. on: November 27, 2018, 09:39:10 PM
         Source: Castle Craig clinic

This is the very weak way of declaring source. I expect  you to put the actual link.

Anyway, I guess we all are addicted that's why we keep watching the price and the drama.
1174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DEAR SATOSHI, did you WANT an UNSTABLE coin, or why the harsh 4-YEAR HALVINGS? on: November 27, 2018, 08:55:23 PM
Bitcoin is not unstable due to halving actually halving process to limit the overall supply only.  Halving should cause increase in price only not the downward turn. It is unstable because community is governed by the "HODL" principle. Very basic requirement of currency is that it should circulate and widely accepted, easy to transact and not counterfeit.

Unfortunately in current scenario , community instead of creating business (that will involve transaction of currency) believes in locking it.

PS: Stop blaming Satoshi ,he is not asking to dump the coin or spike the price.

Just wondering why did not I saw all these topics when it was rising . At that time nobody is trying to find out the real reason why it is rising so fast, What are real reason for its increasing so much value in short span.
Now everybody becoming worried about manipulations when it is going down.
1177  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Stay on top of the tide on: November 26, 2018, 11:36:15 PM

Do not succumb to FUD or shills always be informed and reach your own conclusions. (We would of course not always be right, but it gives us options)
This would help you stay ahead of the tide and ride the wave when it hits.

As a newbie it is very difficult to understand the FUD and shill. I think instead of investing in cryptocurrency, first need to learn about crypto currency. It is the same when you invest in share market, you first to try to know about stock market and learn about specific share and company before investing.
1178  Economy / Reputation / Re: What happened to Lutpin? on: November 26, 2018, 09:08:10 PM
It's weird seeing a former trusted user just not care anymore, Lutpin has barely made any posts in the past months.

I'm surprised users still wear the signatures after not getting paid for 2 months. I'm just posting here to read updates Smiley

Lutpin is not only trusted but himself a DT2 member.

As I said they the owner and manager needs only to change the payment terms and nothing else.
I'd say changing campaign manager to someone who has time to manage the campaign makes much more sense.

If Lutpin is too busy then he can recruit a trusted assistant bounty manager or he can collaborate with another trusted bounty manager that can able to share his load for time being.

If he keeps the mum, then it will not be good for anyone.(neither for lutpin, nor for participants who are waiting for payments anfd have no idea whether they will be paid or not).
1179  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why newbie can using avatar ? on: November 26, 2018, 08:49:58 PM
@op: Well, if you're thinking about having an avatar yourself is to buy copper membership as it is the fastest way to have an access to changing avatar amytime without ranking up to full member rank rather than starting from newbie to full member and also the btc you pay can be use for the forum.

You are confusing avatar with Signature. Copper Memership doe not give avatar. Currently you have to earn avatar by accumulating 100 Merits.
1180  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Benefits of a quality post history on: November 26, 2018, 06:21:07 PM
Some of the Merit source believe in meriting the good content irrespective of post history but some believe in checking it .
But I personally know that post history is checked because couple of time I received merit from same user within a gap of few minutes in two different board. It is very unlikely that user automatically stumbled in my other post that is in another board and not at all trending topic.
In one case I observed  that  user given me merit in some other post  within the gap of few minutes where he quoted/replied to me in some other post.
Both type of cases clearly indicate post history was checked.

I will like to quote  my old post to emphasize how post history matters.

7. Put some little more effort in posting.
A little extra effort will pay you in long run and I will explain this mathematically.
.01 is only 1% of 1.  If you see at a glance you will not say that .99 and 1.01 is a huge difference.

But a huge difference occurs when they are multiplied repeatedly.
(.99)100 = .3660
(1.01)100 = 2.704
(1)100  =1

1 % laziness repeated in 100 post reduce your chances of getting merit from 1 to .366 but in other hand 1% of extra effort repeated 100 times will increase your chances from 1 to 2.704.

This is important, because Merit giver/ source do look in the history of poster. You might not get Merit for your all posts but if some Merit source/giver decide to give you Merit than he/she might double up seeing your history. In other hand if your continuously making bad post then Merit source/giver can change its mind by seeing other bad posts.
