1181  Economy / Speculation / Re: Asia Pushes Bitcoin Past $25K on: March 29, 2023, 09:51:20 PM
Generally, Asia is more accepting of Bitcoin. In general, I could think of a couple of things why.
  • Asia has been technologically advanced in recent years
  • Lack of trust in Banks
  • Transferring money has become easier

That is the current trend in the world, and Asia is at the front of it. I think it will continue in the next decade and hope it will rise in price.
That is true and the increasingly widespread receipt of bitcoin in the Asian market also has several factors that are not implicitly against trust in banks that are increasingly chaotic about their service systems, although there are some that still prohibit bitcoin and have not received it. Technology factors have also developed rapidly in Asia, making it easier for people to receive bitcoin, if the prohibition still applies several countries in Asia, personally can move to accept it, because the concept of decentralization can be used in its journey.

We hope that all of this continues and more broadly, so that more people can take advantage of the opportunity to trade on the exchange, even if it is unlikely to be used as a legal tender. These points are closely related to the acceptance of bitcoin in Asian markets in my opinion.
1182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Sports do you like bet apart from the the listed one here? on: March 29, 2023, 09:13:04 PM
I hope everyone would agree with this list:

  • Soccer
  • NBA
  • Cricket
  • UFC

This list is not based on betting revenue or based on the number of fans. It is simply compiled by me after watching the activity on this board for different games thread. I am aware that I did not add Tennis, MMA and Boxing as my question is about those sports that are not being discussed here but you do bet on it either occasionally or on a regular basis.
Apart from that, because most people like watching football, it can be said that this gambling is one that most people are interested in, although there are also many other bets that can attract people to bet, such as NBA, Moto GP, boxing and depending on the taste of the gambler himself in choosing.

The tendency to bet on gambling sites usually begins because of a hobby for the sport in which one is interested and this purely happened to me and almost fully felt it, because when you don't have a hobby and rarely watch, it will be difficult for people to make betting predictions.
1183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: March 29, 2023, 08:33:50 PM
I was actually surprised because it turned out that many people doubted Croatia. maybe because they got off to a bad start to their first game against Wales. Croatia was held to a 1-1 draw. but even so, Croatia was actually playing quite well at that time. they dominated and created a lot of chances but the Wales defense didn't falter. they defend pretty well and tightly.
Very few doubt Croatia's performance, if football fans saw them at the Qatar World Cup, Croatia even managed to finish third at that time, Croatia's draw against Wales is not a reference, because in fact they played very well and dominated the game. But like you said, Wales had a pretty solid defense and luck came to Wales in the 93rd minute and equalised.

Croatia's win over Turkiye took them to second place in Group D and we will also have to wait for June for the next match as there will be a long break. Several surprises occurred in the qualifying round this time, where Spain and the Netherlands got unsatisfactory results.
1184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 29, 2023, 07:39:33 PM
It would be a shame if Gavi left Barcelona because Gavi and Pedri are the future of Barcelona. Barcelona actually did not intend to sell Pablo Gavi, but the value of Gavi's release clause dropped because the court canceled Gavi's contract, so Gavi was on a free transfer status, aka free, Barcelona itself has gone back and forth to court. signed up for Gavi, but was always rejected.

If Gavi later leaves, it's not because he's being sold by Barcelona, but because he's on a free transfer, Barcelona themselves are still trying, but if Gavi wants to leave, Barcelona can't do anything because Gavi is on a free transfer.
Barcelona is experiencing problems in terms of limiting player salaries, Gavi was registered by Barcelona for a new contact as a main player but Barcelona's condition is experiencing a pensalary cap, so Gavi does not get a place to enter Xavi's squad next season, cases like this had happened to Lionel Messi in the previous season which resulted in Messi leaving Barcelona.

Regulations in La Liga have increasingly squeezed Barcelona's condition, where they have to lose young players who have great potential in the future, Gavi's free transfer condition also does not benefit Barcelona financially. Barcelona have appealed against La Liga's decision, but so far they have had no chance of bypassing the rule.
1185  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Dubai a Bitcoin Friendly City? on: March 25, 2023, 09:10:24 PM
What I am trying to find out is simple but essential? I would request everyone who knows how Dubai crypto works to answer. Please do not answer my questions for the sake of signature campaign as it might not help me and others follwing my path.
The cost of living in Dubai is 10 times that of the country where you live, apartment rent, food and places to visit are much more expensive, my question is whether you will use the investment profits only to pay for the necessities of life there?

I don't want to explain Dubai as a crypto-friendly country, there is a difference between foreign nationals and native nationals, so it will not look friendly to foreigners who have low opinion living in Dubai, it should be a basic consideration before you move there, especially if you put small money to invest in crypto and even though the tax in Dubai is very tempting for investors to move there.
1186  Economy / Economics / Re: Replacement? on: March 25, 2023, 08:25:34 PM
I have been seeing the progress of cryptocurrency these past few years, and I've been thinking, will it definitely be a replacement for physical money and use crypto as a primary transactions in our everyday life?
Impossible to run globally in the near future, regulations in various countries will limit crypto as the main transaction in everyday life. Although though cryptocurrencies have progressed rapidly since their introduction to date.

Anyone cannot go against the regulations made by the state because there are consequences, otherwise you must be prepared to be jailed or subject to sanctions. Logically, we cannot go against the laws that apply in our respective countries of residence and thankfully countries provide access to crypto as a commodity asset that can be traded on exchanges, rather than totally banning it like in some countries in the world.
1187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thanks to bitcoin on: March 25, 2023, 07:09:41 PM
With the recent challenge in Nigeria where the resigni of their currency has caused scarcity of flow of cash which is really affecting the citizens, I know bitcoin will also make a good contribution in this case because lots of young people in the country are engage to bitcoin.

In different occasions of economic crisis in the world bitcoin has always been there to play a good role. Thanks to bitcoin for it existence in this difficult time of life.
I would really like to know what percentage of Nigerians are engaged with bitcoin, so we can conclude that bitcoin is within reach of most people there. If my assumption is not wrong, the involvement of people in bitcoin is only two categories, investment or shopping using bitcoin, my question is whether investing and buying and selling using bitcoin can involve everyone in Nigeria?

Price will be a problem in developing countries to take a bitcoin investment approach, although certain DCA and technical patterns can be done, but as you mentioned generally and I think not everyone can touch bitcoin. But in the case of economic downturns and inflation I agree bitcoin can play a much bigger role compared to fiat currency, because of the many evidences we have seen how bitcoin is able to survive in those conditions.
1188  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you survived during covid19 ? on: March 25, 2023, 06:12:00 PM
But in my country it was hunger that almost take the lives of people because no money and if you have nowhere to buy something.
The one that has the most impact on the food fulfillment sector, because it is directly related to human life, but without us knowing it this has passed by itself, hasn't it.

How did you survived the asshole pandemic disease (covid19)?  Where you sore afraid? How you deassociate with people? How did you get something to eat?
Without being asked I think you have found the answer. I mean, the pandemic has passed and all countries are in the stage of economic recovery now, but for developing countries it will still have an impact on economic recovery after the pandemic is declared over, because in this country many people have lost their jobs as a source of individual income and the state cannot be present 100% in helping everyone to get a job back, moreover the availability of jobs is very difficult to find after the pandemic.

There is almost no specific formula for this problem and we went through it as it has now, even though it was so difficult during the pandemic and in the end it ended itself. To hell with political relations or whatever was the source of the problem at that time, because they are not present and try to find a solution to the problem and otherwise end up on their own.
1189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 25, 2023, 05:22:46 PM
For Raphinha, I still feel that this will be forced to remain at the club, but indeed for Ferran it is a little difficult because the competition in his position is quite tough, especially with Gavi always being placed in that position, now Ferran's loss of position is getting worse. On the other hand, there is also the name Busquet who might be let go considering the condition of his current contract at Barcelona.
178 Million is still very big and Barcelona needs to close that gap and I think this can also be used as a reason for them to accept Manchester United's proposal about De Jong.
Ferran is likely to be released and Busquets' contract will also expire next season, so the opportunity for the two to leave Barcelona is very open, but the departure of the two players has not met the quota limits for Financial Fair Play rules in La Liga

De Jong is an option that Barcelona can consider releasing because the player's salary is quite large, while Manchester United have expressed interest since yesterday's transfer market for the player. So Xavi doesn't need to let go of the core players he needs and can find a striker to replace Lewandowski if he is injured or can play together.

I think after the last incidents at the club when they were strongly hit with the sanctions and restrictions which also led to Barcelona losing their long time hero and legend, Lionel Messi. I think the club have learnt their lessons and will be so careful not to go through the same troubles again and will take necessary measures to comply with the fair play rules even if it means cutting down players wages.
Rumors are circulating that Barcelona is auctioning off some of the stadium seats for certain needs, but so far I haven't followed the developments. The club's finances forced Barcelona to let go of their legend and although slowly the problem has been passed and they have reorganized the club with a makeshift squad.

The impact of this problem has made Barcelona's performance decline at the start of the season, although they have now recovered their form in La Liga. The squad they currently have is unable to keep up with the Champions League or Europa League, so Xavi needs a few additional players for next season.
1190  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Who is most reliable person? on: March 24, 2023, 08:23:59 PM
Can we also show our bitcoin key to someone closer, maybe love, spouse, next of kin?
Better still between someone; who introduced and taught you about bitcoin, a friend or family member and your children who's most preferred and reliable person to give out our information about your bitcoin?
Your line of thought is very simple for the security concerns of the bitcoins you have, in some cases it doesn't make sense to give the private key to any of the people you mention, unless you really trust them to keep your assets or in the worst case you begin to pass on a bequest of assets that you own if at any time you do not have the opportunity to keep those assets anymore.

But generally nothing can guarantee when you start giving private keys to other people, even if it's family, closest relatives or someone you trust, unless like the worst case that I told you and you intend to pass on the assets to the family as a successor
1191  Economy / Speculation / Re: 26k mark finally breached on: March 24, 2023, 07:01:51 PM
It is indeed a very good opportunity to have bought Bitcoin at a lower price. Most people who have these kind of opportunities are those who are constantly DCAing. They could never miss a single opportunity. This could actually be applied to both people with huge capital and limited capital.
People with huge capital may opt for a short term profit and buy again win Bitcoin gets into a correction again. But for the people who have small capital, long term hodl is what's best for their Bitcoin.
Everyone has their own pattern of buying, the approach to DCA is usually taken by people with small capital and it is also possible for those with large capital to do the same. The basic concept of investing is a way to generate profits, both in the long term and in the short term. Therefore the available opportunities can be maximized, as you said, if the availability of large capital in the correction phase can be used to buy and sell again when the expected profit has been obtained, while those with small capital can take DCA steps and carry out HODling according to the target what you want to achieve.

This opportunity should be taken advantage of by anyone and HODling is definitely very profitable and if in the short term it can generate maximum profits with the amount of capital available, then this is also a very good step to take. The power of investing in bitcoin does have a lot of opportunities when people understand how and that's why many people take an approach according to their individual skills.
1192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 24, 2023, 06:36:22 PM
I think compared to that, they should also make some moves to improve their bookkeeping which is still problematic. Improvements to bring in a number of players are necessary, but at this time Xavi must also be aware that the players they have now are quite overloaded which makes them unbalanced and they still have problems for their bookkeeping which is a little more.
They have to get rid of some players who are not too used there to make their condition more stable because good performance will be a little complicated if their condition is like before with financial problems which of course this will not be good.
Barcelona must avoid Financial Fair Play rules in La Liga, so to make it easier for them to bring in new players, there are several conditions that they must comply with and one of them is the player's salary budget which must be reduced. The possible choices are to release several players such as Garcia, Jordi Alba, Ferran Torres, Raphinha, Franck Kessie and Sergio Busquets, so that Barcelona has the opportunity to bring in new players in the upcoming transfer market.

Rumors about the players Barcelona will release may still be different from the six I mentioned, because Xavi also still needs Raphinha, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, because it is still difficult to find replacements for them in the current squad. The available players owned by Xavi have not been tested when facing big matches such as the Champions League and Xavi is still looking for the best format to make the most of them.
1193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are Casino Sites Cheating Us? on: March 24, 2023, 05:16:14 PM
It is sure that the experience you get from one online casino will differ from that you will get from another online casino. If you are not satisfied with the results you are getting, do know that there are many online casinos you can try, and I am sure that you will get a different result from one online casino to another.
The problem that the OP is facing is not the casino, in principle the casino is the same because we will play with the system, so it's not a casino problem and more precisely because luck is not with him. Besides, OP mentioned that he always wins when placing small bets, that means it's not the Casino that's in trouble, but he's unlucky on big bets in the dice game.

From what I understand of the case that happened to the OP, it's not about being scammed for not being paid by the Casino, but he always fails to win big bets and I don't think he's had any luck at the dice game or he could just be having a bad day.
1194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: March 24, 2023, 04:04:15 PM
It's helpful to mention that England haven't won against Italy on the Italian ground since 1961, which seems to be a very long period. In addition, the last 6 matches resulted in 4 Italian wins and 2 draws. Also, England will suffer the absence of the brightest English striker, Marcus Rashford. These points could give Italy some advantages in this match. On the other hand, Italy's last matches in Napoli, where the match will take place, doesn't look good, as they had 3 draws and a loss in the last 4 matches in Maradona Stadium. Anyway, we might watch a very interesting match, because it's the first match for both teams, and all possibilities would be acceptable, as there are more matches to compensate.
The results of last night's match made the head to head both change, even though Italy is still superior in the number of wins. England pressed from the first minute and managed to score a goal through Rice Declan in the 13th minute, while Harry Kane managed to increase England's lead after the referee pointed to the spot and was finished perfectly by the Tottenham striker.

Italy was not able to do much in that match and was only able to score one goal through Mateo Retegui, the match went as predicted and in the end England was able to beat Italy. The next match is also very interesting to watch, because this is the second big match in the Euro qualifiers between France vs Netherlands, what do you think?
1195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are Casino Sites Cheating Us? on: March 23, 2023, 08:34:28 PM
What do you think about casino site algorithms?  Are they cheating with us?
Cases like this happen in all casino sites not only Blackjack & Dice, for reputable casinos it's impossible to cheat in this way, but in cases like you describe I think it's just a matter of luck. Simply put you are against the system, so it could be that you are unlucky on the bet or the card you have is not the card needed to win the bet.

Regarding large and small bets, they are basically the same, you will get more curious and try to play many times even if you lose, that's why most people say gambling is closely related to addiction, especially if someone can't control it and this will only make it worse.
1196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 23, 2023, 07:56:19 PM
Barcelona are currently very dependent on Lewandowski. They don't have any other players commensurate with him. Local reports I've heard Barcelona are interested in Dybala. Dybala's contract with Roma runs until 2025. With Roma Dybala has quite good performances. Dybala has a release clause after one year of the contract. He will be worth 20 million euros when he goes outside Italy, 12 million euros when he leaves still in one league. But I don't know if Barcelona still have a transfer chance, they have spent a lot of money this year.
For the upcoming transfer market, Barcelona must target a young striker as one of the options included in Xavi's long-term project, even though Lewandowski's performance is good this season and he still has two years left on his contract with Barcelona. Xavi must have the option to rotate players if at any time Lewandowski gets injured.

Dybala may be one of the considerations for Xavi, but so far there has been no news about the approach being taken, so the potential for switching to another striker is still quite open. The next problem is as you stated, financial conditions can prevent Barcelona from buying quality players in the future transfer market.
1197  Economy / Reputation / Re: [v2][Self Moderated] In Merits, Count Down To Your Next Rank... on: March 23, 2023, 07:15:26 PM
Good initiative to open a new thread, because old threads are very messy because many participants who are doing the countdown to the next ranking do not obey the rules, self-moderated topics are much easier for you to control and if someone does not follow the rules you can take action to delete them. I am also one of those who frequent your first thread and try to help those who are getting closer to the next rankings.

Thank you very much @Fivestar4everMVP. You will be remembered as one of the many users who initiated people to move up the rankings. It will be much more fun and may come back to help some people who are getting closer to the next rank.

My Countdown to Senior Member
Number of Merit(s) left: 8

I see you are often active on gambling threads and local threads, so it's a bit difficult to find good posts, as I don't understand Turkish or have a hard time reviewing gambling boards. I've taken a quicker approach to helping you move up the rankings.

Congratulations, you have reached the rank of Sr. member. Glad to help you get to that level.

Cheers.
1198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: March 23, 2023, 05:29:57 PM
Italy and England will probably be the most interesting match. I hope that this time Italy will not miss out on the chance to qualify for the championship. But for that they need to beat England now and prove to everyone that they can qualify again. It's hard to guess who will win, or maybe it will be a draw, but I think Italy really need this win.
Apart from Italy and England, there is one other big match that is the center of attention of football fans, namely the France vs Netherlands match which will take place on Saturday 25 March. France failed to win the Qatar World Cup due to a penalty loss to Argentina, so that this qualification will be a proving ground for France after failing in the World Cup.

The match between Italy vs England was a repeat of the previous final which was won by Italy on penalties. But for this match I don't see the possibility that Italy will win the match, they look very messy after not qualifying for the Qatar World Cup, betting on England's win is much more rational and currently many English players are in the best form.
1199  Economy / Reputation / Re: SBF-Ross Ulbricht on: March 23, 2023, 04:50:42 PM
The line between people ending up in prison for long time or just not is so thin in a world of scams, being open minded etc...
Curious , do you think one deserves prison more as the other, one doesn't deserve prison? Both should be there? None should?

How do you guys think about what they did and should or shouldn't they belong in prison?
Basically, both of them deserve this punishment, because many cases related to them have been proven by the parties responsible there, but for the Ross Ulbricht case I don't see justice for a life sentence (death penalty). Despite the crimes these two have committed, I respect the anonymous buying concept developed, but not the crimes they have committed.

The site is run under the pseudonym Dread Pirate Roberts, this name is taken from one of the fictional characters I have seen in various media. This case if studied further is too involved in politics and that is why politics can play a bigger role than the actual reality.
1200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the Strangest Bet You Have Ever Had? on: March 22, 2023, 08:07:14 PM
I think we do it for fun, as a form of socializing. While thinking about it today, I wondered what the strangest bet I had ever had was. I remembered having a bet with my brother that he would give me $80 if I could eat 5 packs of 200g of instant noodles in less than 5 minutes, and if I couldn't, I would give him $90. What is the strangest bet you have ever had?
Personally, I don't play gambling as an addiction but rather as a hobby, for example the game of poker that people play so commonly. Nowadays gambling has developed rapidly, there are so many types of gambling that we can access on online casino sites and elsewhere.

Of the many existing gambling sites, we had a strange experience in a bet that was made while still in college. Everyone who loses playing playing cards must rotate the campus building 5 times, tie rubber on the ear and pay for food and drink in the cafeteria for the winner, this is the most ridiculous bet I did when I was in college with friends.
