Ok, I'm going to go with the following on this one:
1.) Live Blackjack (when I can find a decent site doing it)
2.) Online poker (primarily at betcoin.ag right now;)
122  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to buy Bitcoin? Which Market PLlatform? on: June 03, 2016, 02:10:23 AM
If your based in the states or any one of the other 31 countries they support I can also recommend Coinbase insofar as being fairly reliable.  Something to bear in mind, they do require quite a bit of personal information as they are fully KYC compliant so if your looking for a place to buy BTC without giving up your personal info, this ain't it.
123  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Centralization of mining? "opinions" on: June 03, 2016, 01:58:14 AM
The fact that roughly 80% of the newly generated coins are being minted in China..."No sir...I don't like it!!"

De-Centralization of power is the whole point behind bitcoin.  The fact that a single government could literally take control of well over half the network hashrate virtually overnight doesn't bode well imho.

It's a real shame that KnC just recently decided to file for bankruptcy.  If the only remaining players are all Chinese based the concentration of majority of hashing power will continue sadly.

Note to NavCoin dev team:

You boys might wanna go ahead and remove the Official Forum entry from the Development Graphic in OP as it will be going offline sometime today.  Just a heads up Smiley

----website backup begin----
Ok fellas.  User @Strugg was good enough to get back to me with regards to the dedicated NavajoCoin forum and we pretty much seem to be in agreement on letting it go expire for now given the negligible amount of traffic it's pretty much had since it's creation.  He was also kind enough to offer to cover any and all associated costs with bringing it back online at a later date should enough users make sufficient noise to bring it back online.  So this is my official heads up that the forum will be going offline 5 days from now (apr. 23rd).

It's been quite the learning experience setting it up and I'm tickled pink that the dev's now seem to be making some pretty serious progress on recent BIP implementations, etc. and really looking forward to seeing what else comes down the pipe for this coin.

Keep up the good work fellas.

signing off

Important Message for Nav Developers

The post I made a few days ago regarding expiration on hosting and domain name for navcointalk.org was way off.  The Shared hosting package that I purchased for hosting the forum and the domain name it is tied to will be expiring on April 23rd.  If you guys are ok with this I'll just go ahead and let it expire as not really experiencing much heavy use atm.

If you guys are wanting to keep the forum alive, the path of least resistance would be to pay for both the domain name associated with hosting package as well as renew the hosting.  Price breakdown is as follows:
Domain renewal $13.75
Hosting renewal: $38.88
Total: $52.63

Given the amount of active traffic though I'm thinking we just let it go.  Let me know what you want to do.

Great job fellas.  Nice to see this coin starting to pick up some momentum Smiley

C'mon NAV Coin fellows, we have to make more noise!  Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy

Please go to twitter and tweet about NAV, use the #NAVCoin hashtag: https://twitter.com/cryptkeeperbtt/status/717239738609098752

But we need more infocharts and the graphics with the old navajo logo must be updated!

Maybe the NAVCoin foundation could offer a bounty for updating all graphics in the OP and on navcoin.org?

I will add 7500 NAV to this bounty for a complete logo update!

Bump
contact OSMIUMCOIN on here. he does good work. ask him to show you some of it... good stuff.

Thanks mate, but I don't think we need an artist for this. The new logo is finished and it's an easy task to work it into the various nav graphics. Anybody could do this with the right tools.

Is there a graphics repository somewhere?
There is now Wink

*Newly created public group (open to all), invites already sent to all existing members to join and upload/submit any proposed graphics they wish.

Can we expect an updated client next week as well? There are performance improvements promised as far as I remember

The performance improvements are all wrapped up in the client update for BIP32, so all will be revealed next week Smiley
Looking forward to checking out latest source commits on github fellas.  Keep it up.

NAVAJO 1200 SAT  on  Bittrex !!

SUPPORT 13BTC !!

We are again at the top  Cool
the price of Nav, I think, 0.018-0.02 BTC and this is only an estimated value, which in this will be able to stand against other altcoins worthy, but if we talk about technology Navajo, then surely the price can be and more
lol, big dreams...
in order for this coin to hit .001 it would need a $25 million dollar market cap...lets be more realistic and say .00018 - .0002. unless everyone holds till .001
Let's see if this coin can actually break 1,000 satoshis and stay there for >24 hours before we start getting all googly moogly would be my 2 satoshis worth.

*FYI for the dev's.  navcointalk.org domain currently set to expire on July 7th of this year.

Awesome, see we're up to 0.25 btc already. 1/3 of the way there!

Yes we really should purchase the new domain name. I will put it on the agenda with the guys.

Talk soon
Pakage, you mentioned in earlier post that you had prepared a laptop and gotten anon back online.  Is anon-feature still entirely handled by a single system and if so is it the laptop you just mentioned?

Who is too busy to post anything meaningful, but still has time to delete posts?

FFS devs, play the game!

Well, I haven't deleted any posts. If there was anything deleted it was done by the bot that we have running. It automatically deletes posts written by some well known fudders.

Gotta watch them damn mudder fudders!

This whole cryptsy bounty is nothing more than a diversionary tactic imho and to assume any other scenario at this point pretty much wishful thinking.

Guys Shahim is right.

Everyone should please calm down about this issue. If you read the post by BigVern, it clearly says that only BTC, LTC and a couple other coins were compromised. (Your honestly going to trust the blog post of a guy now known to have been lying to the community for all these months now?  Fool me once shame on you...)

There is no mention of NAV anywhere in his post. We have no reason to believe anything malicious has or will happen to the NAV coins which are currently in Cryptsy's possession. (At this point it's pretty obvious that we must assume malicious intent given the nature of Cryptsy's shutdown and BigVern's alleged preparation for fugitive flight to non-extradition country)

Which wallet address is Cryptsy's NAV address is pure speculation, therefore no one knows how many coins are tied up in their problems. In my experience, cryptsy was trading very low volumes of NAV compared to somewhere like bittrex so I would be very surprised if their NAV wallet was in the top 10 let alone the top 3. (This absolutely needs to be figured out and quick or this coin is done imho)

If we were to hard fork the block chain and burn the coins locked in Cryptsy's wallet then the people who are effected by this problem have absolutely no way of ever recovering their coins ever. (The sad reality is, this is still far better than the alternative)

That is pretty unfair on the people who are unable to access their coins based on almost no information, speculation and hearsay. (The likelihood of anybody seeing any of their alt's from Cryptsy virtual nil at this point)

Cryptsy has periodically been opening unaffected alt coins for withdrawal over the last couple of months. For now we can only assume that eventually the NAV wallet will also open and people will be able to get their coins back. (No idea why you would assume this for reasons stated above)

We will continue to attempt to contact Cryptsy and find out when they are planning open the NAV wallet for withdrawal. (Best of luck with that)

If someone can provide more convincing proof that something malicious is happening with the NAV in Cryptsy's wallet then we will seriously consider taking further action. (If you haven't figured this out by now from the evidence presented, alleged hack (18 months ago btw, why would he feign business as usual for that long, asian booty-call on tap (which is what prompted the whole divorce proceedings btw), and attempted flight from the country I don't know what will convince you)

Cheers,
Craig.
Don't get me wrong, I see your point regarding the possibility that cryptsy does right by everybody and things are hunky dory and everybody happy because they got their coins returned.  But to assume that this scenario probability is any greater than 3-5% is a grave mistake imho.

Just my 2 satoshi's
