981  Economy / Securities / Re: FASBIT - THE EXCHANGE YOU OWN. on: August 16, 2014, 02:37:33 AM
Looks like he is back.

Dividend payment was made today (7/15/14) on FASBIT.
Looks like he's mia again.  Hopefully we hear something from him relatively soon.  Would love to hear whether or not he got his heating/power issues resolved and got those other units back online and what the plan for the future is insofar as hashrate expansion...if there is one.
982  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [IPO] CoinPal - Crypto-Currency Exchange & Profit Switching Mining Pool {NEW} on: August 16, 2014, 02:34:22 AM
Still no update.  Oh whoa is me...first like a boob I invest in coinpal.net, then in full retard fashion I decide to actually check and see if this site is even functional.  Site is indeed up but still missing my DOGE's :/

Got some news for ya mister.  I've tried the coinpal.net site because I was stupid enough to actually invest in the coinpal.net asset listed on crypto::stocks and I can say with 100% certainty that your script no work. At least not in its present version on coinpal.net

I transferred a # of doge coin's into my registered account on that exchange and amazingly enough not only was I unable to do a single exchange or withdraw my funds, but I discovered that over 80% of my deposited coins where literally missing the very next day.

Amazing piece of work you got there.  Don't suppose you ever sold a copy of this bad boy to a really fat pasty fella with a French accent would you have? :p
What your account in coinpal.net?

What a nice fake this loan is not longer needed.
Dude...that really sucks!  Sorry to hear that.  I find it a bit hard to believe that you ended up going for something I proposed with an unproven forum member as opposted to the options I provided but I'm not meaning to rub salt into the wound.  Sorry you lost out dude, sincerely.  Too many con-artists stealing peoples hard earned money.
985  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] SCRYPT 4 GH/s hosted scrypt mining project by CRYPTX on: August 16, 2014, 02:01:18 AM
I wouldn't be surprised if the thousands cryptx is earning weekly off our pain is one day applied to either:
1.) CryptX11/13 farming asset
     or even more ambitious:
2.) CryptX ASIC's, yeah baby, our goal is to capture 2% of overall BTC or LTC network by designing our own in-house mining rigs and chips!!  We know things didn't go so well with our first two listings but trust us, this time it will be different :/

One thing we investors can be proud of I suppose, in another 2-3 months when scryptx can rebuy all our shares at 20% on the dollar or better he will be one of the largest private owners of hash for both sha and scrypt in the whole of the world I suspect...we helped do that...it was costly, but that was all us.  Hmmm, now that I type it I don't quite get the feel good jolt I was hoping for.
986  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE - 1,150 TH/S HASH RATE (1GH/S per Unit) on: August 15, 2014, 08:22:56 PM
In case you missed it:

"Dear Unit Holders,

It has been a few weeks now since we converted the PetaMine to 1 GH per unit and 100% daily dividend payouts.
We want to use this update to provide more transparency.

Daily dividend payouts are based on mining revenue of the last 24h (including altcoins like NMC/DVC/IXC). The differences in daily dividends have its origin in the variance in finding blocks for those last 24h.

The daily dividend consists of the mining revenue of the last 24h minus the hosting fee. The hosting fee totals 0.0049315$ per GH per day or 0.15$/GH per month to cover electricity, maintenance and repairs, hosting facility. Hosting costs are converted to BTC using the days BTC/USD ratio.

End June we decided, after passing a vote, to switch to p2pool because of the risk of ghash.io reaching 51% of the network. In the meantime this risk has disappeared with ghash.io having a marketshare of 27%. Besides that, the Bitfury systems are not compatible with p2pool and the variance on the daily payouts would be enormous.

Some people requested if additional hardware will be deployed. In the short term, we do not foresee to add additional hardware, as this would require the availability of new reinvestment funds or launching a new IPO. The results of the last vote was clear that people rather choose their own reinvestment level by purchasing additional 1GH/s units available at market value.

As always we will keep monitoring the Bitcoin ecosystem/mining environment closely.

Team CryptX"

What I essentially read from it: "We gave you everything you asked for so quit bi!@#in.  No new hash.  p2pool too much of a pain in the ass and wouldn't be worth it given ghash.io hashrate decrease.  Thanks again for investing your hard earned satoshi's with us, believe you me, we are putting them to good use (wink wink nudge nudge)"
987  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] SCRYPT 4 GH/s hosted scrypt mining project by CRYPTX on: August 15, 2014, 07:16:52 PM
Well nice to have an update from CryptX finally.  But I gotta say the option to convert existing scryptx shares over to petamine shares at a ratio of 5:1 is just laughable to me.  I've been involved with the CryptX sha IPO since it opened and the situation with that stock is even worse than it is here but given Cryptx track-record thus far with regards to getting a good $/GH rate it's actually probably one of the better options he's offering although personally I'm leaning towards the 90BTC payout and continued daily dividends.

Titan Moving Forward

Our new Titan Scrypt Miner is finishing it’s first run in fabrication this weekend with wafers being sent to the next step: encapsulation. As so, we’re awaiting completion and the arrival of the finished chips in Stockholm, Sweden, where they’ll move into our testing and assembly phase, for delivery.

We can also announce today that The Titan chip will use a PCB (board) with the same physical dimensions and footprint as the one we’re using on our Neptune product, while requiring substantially lower wattage. It is also delivered using our new modular design system. We’ll update this space as soon as we can announce first delivery of the new Titan Scrypt Miner, and will release exact specs after real-world testing has completed.
Yup.  Pretty much the death knell for us poor little ole alpha-t pre-orders I'm afraid.  Now, even if by some miracle AT manages to actually deliver by the end of next month the unit's will basically be little more than expensive-to-run heaters.  Time for somebody to setup an AT-preorder-suicide-hotline toll-free number I'm thinking :/

You have business and don't have 5 bucks  Sad

We cashed out our btc. But we were able to buy some btc via paypal so we got it coverd.

Last time i forget anything shows me i need to keep track of my calendars a little better won't make that mistake again.
I'm betting re-purchasing the bitcoin via paypal wasn't your cheapest option.  Is it safe to assume that your contractor refuses to accept fiat? Did he tell you to keep your nasty ole Paypal based fiat dollars and trade them in for something useful perhaps? Tongue
996  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Do You Buy BTC? on: August 15, 2014, 08:56:39 AM
So far the majority of the bitcoin I've purchased over the past 6 months has been from coinbase.  Never had any issue(s) that weren't quickly resolved.  Fee-yaat typically hits my bank account ~4 business days after I cash out the satoshi's.

998  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: I can not decide to start or not on: August 14, 2014, 09:34:46 PM
Dear Members,

I just joined bitcointalk, typed a page almost, then I checked meaning of a word from toolbar, searched google for it. Shame on me and shame on bitcointalk. when I hit backspace all my writings were gone. Normaly I copy before but forgot this time.

Anyway, I can not decide to start mining or not. My position is frightening.

1. BTC going down till 10 dollars may be ? Hope not...
2. difficulty level will jump %20 or more soon...
3. BTC may not be free .....

I personally believe BTC will be stronger, valuable and widely used increasingly in the next 10 years.  (so do I, or something like bitcoin perhaps)

But is it something stupid to start mining now. I would start last year.

I have to rooms at my office which I'm ok with my boss to put 4 machines. I do not pay the electricity here. (this helps but not enough if bitcoin price trend continues)
And I have a normal size balcony, covered with windows, looking to North. Some miner sun in summer but I'll make it no problem. I pay the electricity here. I can put two machines. (expect to earn back roughly 60-65% of your hardware investment within the first 60 days and then you'll be likely to sell it at 25% what you paid for it.  You can extrapolate from there, although free electricity does help if bitcoin continues it's present path for much longer it also will likely never ROI)

What do you suggest guys. Isn't it one of the worst times to decide to start mining ?
Do I have to be afraid? (be afraid, be very afraid, mining is absolutely a 0-sum game at this point unless your manufacturing them yourself)
Please advise.
and good luck

forgot to tell something : My friend will pay the machines and he says, I may be %50 %50 parthner after machines pay themselves.  (sadly for you unless bitcoin stabilizes and really takes off this is likely to never happen)
999  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE - 1,150 TH/S HASH RATE (1GH/S per Unit) on: August 14, 2014, 09:29:48 PM
They seem to be in freefall right now... to the people (ie Puppet) who have been incredibly bearish on PETA, at what point, if any, do you see these becoming a good investment?
In short under peta's current model the timeline for these becoming a good investment will probably happen around the 2nd of Nebruary (that's right, the 2nd February of Never!)

The fixed elec/hosting fee's of this operation coupled with the fact that there is no longer any hardware reinvestment fund to et all basically guarantees that this asset is on the fast-track to 0 for investors.

CryptX and company sure do appreciate your investment though I'm sure.
*smacking myself in the head for still owning any of these

*IPO Magic: I wish I would've been wrong though :/

There seems to be quite a correlation between the dividends and the daily Bitcoin price fluctuations. Probably the fixed costs (in fiat currency) are seriously eating into the dividends as the Bitcoin price drops. The swings are amplified as the difficulty hampers coin generation. We should see the dividends go up (less the difficulty increase) when the BTC price rises again - if at all! It is inevitable that mining will stop when the fixed costs = the bitcoins generated. It was a suicide vote to not invest in new mining equipment! We can only hope for Nebruary...
I'll say there's a direct correlation.  0.00000924 satoshi's/share dividend today and just look at what happened to the price.  Imagine how hard it's going to tank after this next difficulty jump which is likely to be between 21-25% imho.

Also having issue(s) here with ppc/btc and ltc/btc trading pairs on btc-e with current version.  Will be creating a ticket and hopping on-board the Beta-test since I'm getting the impression from the thread that its working quite a bit better than what I have.
