cryptsy is improoved alot lately, no waiting for deposits, withdrawals, customer service is good too.

I have not tried Cryptsy again since my AUR dissapeared for 7 hours of of nowhere only to find out them back again when I wake up next day. That scared the shit out of me and I decided not to participate on Cryptsy again. It's good to hear they have fixed their shit and got their shit together finally but I feel it's still to early for me to decide to move all my shit in here again. Might as well stick with Poloniex.
Definitely agree that things at Cryptsy have improved quite a bit over the past couple of months.  They have certainly had their issue(s) no doubt but getting more reliable all the time imho.

1044  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How long have you been using Bitcoin? on: August 08, 2014, 04:07:47 AM
I've been experimenting with bitcoin since early 2013.

My advice: "trust no one with custody of your coins"
1045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAX] MaxCoin - Alive and Kickin' on: August 08, 2014, 04:01:15 AM
A lot of what is being said at the moment, in this thread, is actually symptomatic of the whole altcoin world in general. I have mentioned this before, elsewhere: I believe  Andreas Antonopolous got it right when he said that 2014 is Bitcoin's year and that the altcoins should forget it for now - their time will come later. While I too have certain reservations about Maxcoin, I wouldn't count it out just yet. Like many, I was disappointed with the launch and have seen my initial holding dwindle over the months. All I would say is give Max Keiser and Maxcoin the benefit of the doubt for now (if any!). I would suggest that this time next year would be a better time to judge whether Maxcoin has failed, or not.
I will be quite surprised if this coin managed to limp along until this time next year.  Virtually no buy volume and seems likely to be moved to secondary max/ltc market on cryptsy relatively soon imho.
1046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: August 08, 2014, 03:59:01 AM
lmfao...did anybody receive the "development update".  You know at this point I just have to laugh.  Here's a quick summary in case you've missed it:

"As I mentioned in previous updates we are comitted to 100% transparency.  As such, here are some pictures of the case we've standardized upon for our vapor boards.  Vapor chips still on schedule for 2nd of Nebruary release!"

[pics of a REALLY REALLY nice looking empty case with a couple of rockin FANS!]

I wonder just how much longer they plan on trying to maintain this illusion of actually doing something.
1047  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] [VERIFIED] Assload of netflix accounts on: August 08, 2014, 03:45:08 AM
I want to believe that it is work issues that are delaying the deliver, because scam for 5mBTC is simply pathetic.

But anyway I would not recommend people send money to OP, at least until the issue is solved.

And the "fast transactions" can very well be from  OP's alt accounts.
Holding off on sending until people ahead of me who have paid confirm receipt of account.
1048  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Reputable Trader Accepting Loans 5.0% Weekly! on: August 08, 2014, 12:03:09 AM
Just wanting to update publicly for the record.  blk4jaguar just paid me back with agreed interest.  Slightly late but he added the couple of extra days in the form of a few more satoshi's.  Pleasure to work with somebody honest.
1049  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] SCRYPT 4 GH/s hosted scrypt mining project by CRYPTX on: August 07, 2014, 11:17:36 PM
I dont believe any of it. I am mortified. I hardly believe someone could spend 1200BTC on hardware that turns into this shit mess and its due to the fact they dont seem to give a fuck about the share price or the dividend.

Does anyone technically absolutely know their stuff? Does 1200BTC turn to shit like this in mining or is it me.

I went by their PETA mine and its all bollox as far as I can see. It should be generating enough and re-invested correctly to ensure maximum yield. Thats supposed to be their job not mine.
I hv lost all my savings. Thanks crypt x. You guys rock and keep it rockin.

This what they say on PETA mine so what the hell is happening?

"Strategic partnership with leading hardware designers/manufacturers means CryptX will have access to future chip developments at the most competitive rates on the market."

they have already bought another GH(from 3 to 4 now) with the reinvestment fund, but the network keeps growing quickly

just how mining goes sometimes

I understand that this is a scrypt project, but why not use the reinvestment fund to buy some SHA-256 equipment?  It has a brighter outlook right now as difficulty adjustments are lower and ASICS are heavily introduced already, whereas, as the big companies start to ship scrypt ASICS, we will see further and further big jumps in hashrate.  At least buying some SHA-256 ASICS for this project will allow a higher bitcoin stream to come in.

With roughly 85 bitcoins in the reinvestment fund by tomorrow, they can purchase roughly 130 antminers S3's assuming no discount (possibly more with a discount).

That would be about 57 TH/s of hashing power, which would about double our current weekly bitcoin intake and would decline at a much slower rate than what scrypt is currently doing.
you guys must not follow the scene at all.... Huh Huh
have you not heard of PETA

This has absolutely nothing to do with PETA.  There is about 85 bitcoins sitting in a reinvestment fund, now you tell me, is it better to buy scrypt miners or SHA-256 miners.  That amount can buy roughly 57 TH/s of SHA-256 or roughly 1 GH/s of scrypt.  Do the math and figure out which one will make more in its lifetime.

This project has sunk pretty darn far, I think most people agree on here it is time for it to make a change, lots of suggestions have been thrown out, this is just one that I see that is a better option than what we are currently doing.
Might not have anything to do with PETA but points out the obvious common denominator(s).

1.) CryptX and crew raking in serious BTC with hosting/admin fee's
2.) Both PETAMINE and SCRYPT are failing miserably (no communication on either)
3.) Barring something changing on either all either will manage to do is piss off entirely new waves of investors foolish enough to invest in either if something drastic doesn't change soon.

New share price plateau approaching?
Kinda doubt it.  I have a feeling share price will be down in the 170000 range here in about 10 days or so.
1051  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Beware of PayPal and other reversible transfer services on: August 07, 2014, 06:40:06 PM
Quick question.  I have a buyer interested in purchasing some BTC for paypal.  He is willing to do the whole ID thing but just wondering...if he where to enter in the comments section of his paypal payment that the transaction is irreversible would this protect me against a potential chargeback down the road?

Absolutely not, because he can claim his account was "hacked" and the "hacker" included that message.
Was sort of thinking along the same lines sadly.  Ok, I appreciate the help.  Can 'gifted' transactions be reversed for the same reason then essentially?

Gift payments can be reversed. Leaving a comment won't help at all... they can always claim identity was stolen and paypal account was hacked.
I have very bad experience with this gift payment so I will advice never do any business with paypal I lost my 2 btc
Really appreciate the feedback fellas.  Long and short of it: unless you REALLY trust the person your selling too paypal is a no-go!  Thanks for saving me some potential heart-ache guys!

Removed negative feedback I had posted on fasbit.  It appears as though he must be back and at least trying to do the right thing by his shareholders.  Give him points for not bailing.

Dividend payment of 3 satoshi's per share issued for FAS stock today.  Not sure if FASBIT and GRID shares will also be receiving a dividend payment or not at this point.

1057  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 51% problem still existant after all coins have been mined ? on: August 06, 2014, 06:37:32 PM
Most people wont live that long to see all this mined.
There isn't a person alive today that will be alive the day the last Bitcoin is mined.

Last bitcoin won't be mined til 2140 so unless your thinking medical technology is going to extend lifespan's pretty significantly in the next 120 some odd years or so I don't think anybody on these forums will ever witness the last coin being mined.
1058  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE - 1,150 TH/S HASH RATE (1GH/S per Unit) on: August 06, 2014, 06:30:34 PM
lmao.  It's seem's no matter what I do to try decrease the huge negative amount of bitcoin i've lost in this investment it only results in that negative # getting larger :/

A bit surprised people are selling this low but sort of understandable given the lack of liquidity on the Buy side.  My guess, confidence not real high in petamine atm.  Sooner or later with all this new efficient mining gear hitting the network CryptX and crew are going to have to come up with something big to keep interest in this project alive much into 2015 imho

Are you still having hope that CryptX will pull a rabbit out of their hat? They already have written PETA off, they are busy with their next project.

lol, of course they have something. It's no magic trick, it's a business. Just like in any stock market it's up and down. What other investment pays such high dividends daily.. weekly.. or even monthly? Presently the problem lies within the trust aspect to this investment, a loss of trust due to lack of communication. That being said, the reason for divs being pushed down (a little) is due to the drop in BTC and increase of cost to give you that dividend through mining. If BTC rises, the div will rise, as such so will the share price. Having communication plus a rise in BTC will send the share price much higher that it is now. Additionally, if cryptx starts another PO for more hardware that should also raise the div and share price.
Everything you say is true.  Additionally, where he to lower the hosting/admin costs to a far more reasonable rate it would also help dividends quite a bit.  Some communication would be nice of course but what would be even nicer is him spending some of that big satoshi on some additional hardware to increase the GH/share ratio.

1158 satoshi's/share for today's dividend :/
