The batting was again average except the captain and Kohli's initial run chase in the first powerplay they wouldn't have been able to to chase a small target of less than 150 runs.
The way batsmen fell after initial Faf's wicket, that makes me think if GT had on-par score like 170-180, RCB would have lost. RCB depends heavily on openers and that was proved once again. I would include Maxwell too but he's done nothing this season (You know the popular trio known as KGF). That was a fluke win and once in a while RCB plays best than they even imagine themselves. My expectations were shattered that is the truth and this time it was due to RCB fielders being disciplined on the field and bowlers like Shiraj coming back to his form. The batting was again average except the captain and Kohli's initial run chase in the first powerplay they wouldn't have been able to to chase a small target of less than 150 runs. I still don't believe they will be able to get into the playoffs. CSK has already won today and if LSG defeats KKR then it would make it difficult for RCB to reach in the top 4 in the point table.
I don't see it's fluke win especially after how they defeated GT in both the games. First win was comprehensive, second one wasn't that comprehensive especially the way wickets fell after initial Faf's dismissal, a bit more score to chase and result could have gone other way. Finally they understood they don't have quality bowlers so all they can do is maximize their batting unit so they had to go with all Indian bowling attack then utilize 4 foreign slots to the batters. They actually understood it very early, in one of early match's post match interview Faf was talking about it. |

Quite knew that this wasn't going to be smooth chase for Punjab but this (91-8/15 overs) is insanity.

There seems to be an Afghan cabal inside the selection committee in GT. Omarzai, Rashid and Noor Ahmad were assured of slots in the playing XI despite repeated poor performances.
Lol, it's indeed quite funny that most of times GT's foreign slots are occupied by Afghans. I agree that Noor and Omarzai has been ineffective but Rashid is top-notch all rounder, there is no reason he should be sitting on bench, you can't exclude him cause of few poor bowling performances.
Back to today's match, this is best Harshal Patel I have ever seen, Dhoni getting out on first ball, such a feeling, I can't describe. Csk has made 167, I 'd call it decent, wouldn't yet bet on Punjab though that they will chase it easily. |

GT gets well deserved thrashing, they need to learn how to bat in powerplay. GT had lost this game in powerplay itself.

Rashid didn't look confident today, showed what he was going to do beforehand and it costed him the wicket. Shahrukh Khan's run-out was unfortunate, could have given good hand to the score. Jeez! We have some of the worst commentators shitting all over on the comms. Batter targets a cow corner and Anjum Chopra proceeds with "They got safety there" and the fielder wasn't even in the frame, including wide angle.
I'd agree, Sunny Gavaskar was talking about RCB bowling while Manav Suthar was batting, saying he might have made some runs in domestic cricket but bowling quality here is vastly different compared to that of domestic. Do you call RCB bowling quality? GT played conservative, otherwise RCB bowlers would have known their place today too. |

So you're saying that if nobody reports and declares themselves as sybils then Layer Zero would lend up looking stupid in the middle of all this? I don't think so. I mean I'm sure as hell I wouldn't report myself to get 15% of total allocation, 15% is too less. Would rather see if they can figure my sybil addresses  I mean before they even start with all the fuss about the sybils, shouldn't they already have a list of wallets that their really sure that are sybils? I think they're doing this to shake the cage and have everybody know that they're not the ones to mess with. They could be having list of obvious farmers such as users of merkly but there is no way they can filter out all sybils, especially the ingenious ones. |

GT having bad start once again. Both openers gone after adding 3 marvellous runs to the scoreboard after eating 2 overs of dot balls in powerplay. I think they should play Saha down the order, that should change GT's fortunes a bit, but I guess it's already late. Mumbai Indians! They have fallen so far. Tough to believe that they couldn't chase down such a small target on their home ground against a side that hasn't really been known for its bowling in this season.
KKR almost qualified for the playoffs with this clinical win. Coming to RCB vs GT, I am expecting Gujarat to win this one on Bangalore's turf.
One trade and mighty have fallen. Hardik's trade to Mumbai snatched a GT's skipper who was looking good and MI transferred Cameron Green to RCB because of Hardik's comeback. Damn, I miss Pandya. Hate to see this miserable condition of GT. |

Tim David, man is having hard time timing the ball literally every time he bats. It's long time coming IMO that there should be a change as he's not the finisher that MI expects him to be. Coetzee is timing better than him, lol.

Camera focused on Hardik Pandya and he looks gloomy, probably due to the way this season has turned out to be.
At first, looking at score KKR put, thought MI will try to chase faster and would want to increase NRR, and try their slim chance at play-offs but they didn't even win.
