I have been with this coin for quite a while, however I haven't opened my wallet for nearly a year and a half. I've updated to the latest wallet and it is syncing but it says it it going to take 4 years to do so  . Lets hope it doesn't take that long.  It should take two-three hours tops with a good connection to sync. The timing estimate is a bug we never got fixed before release. However, it does not effect anything. By the way, while wallet is syncing some people mention they only have 1 connection. BTC does this as well. The get headers request is sent to a single peer. |

Glad I got back into this a while ago, this was and is my gamble coin which I hope will work out. To find all the information is a bit of a pain but after seeing all the things that are planned this could be something decent.
I has one suggestion, if a one sheeter could be put together showing where DGB started, what it has already accomplished, it's current state and future plans I think that would be a great way for new investors to easily digest DGB, it would also make it easier for people to share.
I know there is a roadmap but something pretty and straight to the point would be great.
tiggytomb, That has been asked for, and requested for years, with no result other than the implicit: the dev simply refuses to do it for whatever the reason. Is it incapability? Laziness? Aloofness? Stupidity? Who knows? The point is that the reason why is not important. The only thing that is important for real investors' decision making is the fact that clear and thorough documentation is systematically refused by the dev. By the way, I've been telling this to Jared both publicly and privately for the better part of two years now, and there's been no change. If anything, there's been a circling of wagons on his part with increasing obstinacy and further entrenchment refusing to take direction from others and surrounding himself with very dubious advisors to say the least. You're right to say that it's a gamble, but I think you've got better odds in Vegas . . . where, even though the work against you, the rules are at least clearly stated.  There’s always the hope that things will change, but, as time goes by, that hope obviously dwindles in an ever accelerated manner. Can someone point me to a link to the whitepaper for this coin? I found some posts talking about doing one a long time ago but can't seem to find one. Bumping this again for a dev that's on the team. Must say though that hearing people talking about how they've invested for years because of the tech, without a whitepaper that can be peer reviewed etc, is "interesting' to say the least. According to Coinmarketcap, we have a higher trading volume today than actual market cap Just...wow I saw that!!! That's unsustainable... At this rate we will be 2000 sats by the weekend! I knew this will happen but I have to work and was too late for first pump. I took the second smaller one. Correct me if I am wrong. The reason for this is simple. Several times in DGB's history we have had trading volumes higher than our market cap. This is because DigiByte is much more decentralized and distributed among the globe. Pretty much every other coin in top 50 has a handful of bag holders sitting on the majority of coins. The market caps of most other coins are artificially inflated with developers sitting on a huge inaccessible pile. DigiByte had a countdown timer days ahead for launch and had a very fair mining launch. Much more so than Ethereum. DGB also had giveaways to 10k addresses in first few days before being picked up on exchanges. The majority of Bitcoins are still in the hands of a hundred people or less. When DigiByte reaches a $1billion USD market cap more millionaires will be created from DGB than the other top 20 coins combined. |

This was only used during the segwit activation period. No need for it any longer until the next soft fork on the network. Now that Segwit activated and block #'s changed it would read zero. |

The difference between 4.0.3 and 6.14.2 is like moving from a horse-drawn carriage to a corvette in terms of capability. Any reason why you are keeping a 4.0.3 wallet? Soft fork means there is no specific block height or time for activation. It also means in the process of changing both wallets are still backward compatible. But once changes lock in, the lock in phase serves as a warning for rest of network to upgrade. The protocol changes go into effect once the active stage is reached. This does create a fork. But it's not really a fork when 97% of wallets upgraded. Update to 6.14.2 and your DGB will be there. |

Like I said I don’t use light wallets but somewhere in it you need to cancel the transactions you have tried to make and then re-sync your wallet with the blockchain. After that, you should try moving the funds in smaller amounts. If all this fails and you have the seed for the wallet, your funds can still be recovered but you may need help from the dev team and I wouldn’t trust anyone other than Jared with the seed. In the end, no one answered me, and no one helped. Support is also silent, nothing answers. My money and hanging in the system, and you can not get them anywhere. No personal offense meant in any way, since this user Bonus has lost/"lost"/'locked-up a pretty decent amount of assets in limbo and you're the only one thus far reacting on it for a few pages; it's just that I'm touched by the amounts of comments meanwhile regarding talk about 'real' robots and prices and stuff... Seriously? DGB ... We are working on an update for the DigiByte Gaming wallet. As always please make sure you have backed up your gaming wallet seed phrase as first required when you first created the wallet. This is the most important thing to do with any blockchain wallet. A few things we have been able to do to get some people's issues sorted with Gaming Wallet: 1) On the front page under activity, there is a place where you can click the proposal that says "locked." Once you click that you can delete the pending payment proposal. 2) Recreate wallet from seed phrase on chrome extension 3) Try sending smaller amounts to a new wallet (preferably v6.14.2 core wallet) If you have been mining to the gaming wallet or received main small inputs the wallet is attempting to create a transaction that is too large from too many inputs. As mentioned above, DigiByte v6.14.2 is a full node wallet that is considered the most reliable reference implmentaiton of the protocol. So always store large amounts of funds there. With the latest protocol upgrades many of the syncing and timing issues that led to the creation of the gaming wallet have been fixed. We are working un an update for the Gaming Wallet and we will be announcing future plans for DigiByte Gaming in the next few months. For the time being we will keep gaming payouts paused. |

Alright, everyone, we are just under 10 hours from activation! Please keep in mind this is when all changes go into effect. While we have tested through this transition many times on a developer testnet we have had slight issues in the past with large updates over the years.
But just like in the past we will be standing by and analyzing everything closely if any adjustments are needed. Some mining pools may have block creation issues if they have not properly upgraded to segwit stratum support. But this should not affect the vast majority of the network or users. Please post anything you see right away if you come across any issues. Please keep in mind we are trail blazers here. Thanks again for everyone's patience and support!
