The sooner we get everyone on v4.0.3 the sooner we are back to normal. Lets start a list of 4.0.3 updated pools and exchanges. Windows 64-bit client
I had a 64-bit client get stuck there but I restarted wallet and it was ok after that but there is still something not right. If you simply mean closing the wallet and then starting it up, then I've tried that may times. :-( Please start the wallet with the -reindex or -rescan flag. On windows navigate to the folder where the main digibyte-qt is installed (program files). Cltr right click and you will have an option that says "open command window here." Execute the command "digibyted-qt -reindex" and the wallet should start re syncing. Does everyone have an exact block height they are having issues with? For Windows you need to hold SHIFT and right click the DigiByte Folder in \ProgramFiles. And the command should be "digibyte-qt -reindex" I'm currently resyncing now Yes, thank you for the correction. Just caught the "digibyted" typo (old server habits die hard) digibyte-qt -reindex This command restarts the wallet and reindexs the entire chain to fix any reorgs or conflicts the sync process may be experiencing. |

Hi, I need your help with the wallet.
Two days ago I have sent some coins and closed the wallet while transaction was unconfirmed, which I usually don't do. Now, digi is crashing every time it reaches wallet.dat.
When wallet was removed new one was created and it synced till the end. Restoring previous wallet afterwards didn't work.
I was able to sync on Sunday and receive coins, didn't use wallet after that.
Any suggestions?
Restart the wallet wit the -rescan or -reindex command. |

@theblocksfactory.com you're running 4.0.3. And it seems that you have much less orphaned blocks than even before the hardfork! (on qubit, skein and groestl). May be i'm wrong. Can you confirm ? I confirm the diminution of orphan (yesterday vs today), but i don't know if I have less orphan than before the hard fork : Skein 9% -> 1.6 % Groestl 7%> 2.5% Scrypt 33% -> 10% Sha 9% -> 2% Qubit 8% -> 0.8% Thank you for sharing! This is good to see. We are getting the GUI wallets prepared for release for those who want to help and update. |

Nobody has ever suggested banning you. We don't ban people from this thread. When people spam the thread we have reported them to BitcoinTalk moderators, but we don't ban people from contributing. My experience is that our community believes in open discussion and appreciates criticism. I don't agree with your claims that the ship is sinking but I value your opinion. There doesn't seem to be any reason to be alarmed. We have signed up over 1000 new users to DGB gaming in just the past few weeks. We have had tremendous support from the community of mining pools and exchanges during the transition over the past few days. There were a couple of mining pools that didn't upgrade on time for the DigiSpeed Fork. It seems they sorted out the upgrade. There were some issues with the blockchain needing to be re-indexed ... i'm not even close to being an expert at the development so I'm not going to pretend to explain the details. Over the past 24 hours, (if you read back through some of the posts here) you'll see that those issues are being addressed and everything appears to be working great with the new seed nodes. Alright I appreciate your kind reply, but we both (and other users) received plenty of messages basically saying GTFO or don't say negative stuff, etc. I don't think that's good for the community at all. The only purpose of that is to actually spread hype and give false hopes, basically if you pump the coin it's perfectly ok, if you don't...gtfo. It's a vicious circle if you will when something like this happens because at the end it bites the project/coin back. Please understand that while many of us value your work and the effort you put in, we are all basically in for the money, we don't really care about your "baby". We want results and progress not this situation we are in where basically nothing really matters because the game is rigged. So sorry if we sound harsh but it's how it is (maybe we are not even entitled to express our opinion, just because we hold some DGB doesn't mean we have the right to question or post opinions, fair enough). Thank you for sharing. We feel it is very important for everyone to voice their honest concerns and opinions. That is how we grow and make things better for DigiByte. We are always open to suggestions and solutions to fix problems we now face. It is also important to mention we do not have the ability to "ban" or "delete" anyone or their posts, nor would we want to. Only the global forum mods can do that. While we do pay attention to the price... it is not everything, if that were the case DigiByte would of been dead a long time ago like many other coins that were hyped and then left to die by various "pump" groups. We have pushed through times like this and improved every time. We fundamentally believe that the possibilities of DigiByte extend far beyond DigiByte as a currency. We are focused on our long term vision and strategy and we are keeping our nose to the grind stone to make it happen. As for the hard fork, things are smoothing out and looking good now. The reason a hard fork is so feared among the Bitcoin community is there will always be problems that arise during one. This is the price of progress and innovation. As for the 250K thats being repeated in TX's that is the payout from DigiByte Gaming switching change addresses every payout. It caught us off guard as well. |
