We wanted to give everyone a quick update on the LA Games conference. The conference went great for DigiByte and we were the only blockchain based organisation there. We made several good contacts for DigiByte and we are talking to many new people exploring new ways to collaborate. These things however take time to play out. As with some of our connections from the New York event.  This week we are meeting with several interested parties in LA and San Francisco.

dgbwallet.com has been taken offline and deprecated in favor of gaming wallet has announced six months ago. We are in the process of upgrading the backend server the wallets connect to to scale the amount of users now using it. Please stay tuned. Thank you all for your continued support. As stated many, many times we are in this for the long haul. While many people would like instant gratification and quick results this is the real world, things don't "go to the moon" without a lot of hard, consistent, committed work. We have a lot of work ahead of us, and many upcoming events. 2016 is going to be a big year for DigiByte.

We also hate to disappoint people, but we do not control the price, the protocol or the network and we are also not active traders (no time). DigiByte is open source, decentralized and a free market. Right now speculation is driving the market, we are working to get away from this by providing real world utility and use cases. That is the only way to sustain the market long term. Unfortunately at the moment their are individuals working against this and even personally attacking members of our community and team in very inappropriate ways. This is very disappointing, but we will not be deterred and we will push forward.

We are publishing updates through all DigiByte social media portals. We also are planning a newsletter from DigiByte.co and we have set a target date for the first newsletter of April 18th. This newsletter will occur the 1st and second Monday of every month to give everyone consistent updates. In between we will post updates as appropriate.

For those who think i'm on "vacation," not at all, sure I had some personal things to attend to, but still means 5 AM to 12 PM even after being away from my family, old life and everything I know for two years. There is a lot moving right now and through our previous events we have a lot of people looking at DigiByte and talking to us. We do not want to publicly detail anything until we have solid deals and information to pass on with real substance and solutions. As you all now rumors are rampant in this industry and we have no intention of misleading anyone and fueling a pump and dump.

As for the South Africa event we are still waiting for them to release the video but do not have a time frame. We have reached out asking them for an ETA.

We also pushed out an updated Android wallet, and we will be pushing out an updated DigiByte Gaming wallet here in the next week. The team has been hard at work upgrading several things. We are also hiring more people in HK. So if you are a blockchain programer please PM us.

Can you post a screen shot to confirm you are on DigiSpeed v4.0.3. Also are you behind a firewall blocking port 12024?

Thanks for your support! I'm not going to comment on any specific "deals" at the moment. But I have been in the offices of, and talked to several high profile companies. I do not want to say anything about such progress until I am 100% sure things are moving forward. We have several people working on making things happen for DigiByte at the moment. There has been a lot behind the scenes as we do not want to fuel speculation until we have something solid to stand on.

In the last year it has been used to develop DigiByteGaming, DigiByteTip, DigiByte Market, DiguSign, DigiHash, DigiByte Gaming Wallet, DigiExplorer, Tofugear Omnitech integration, Easy Miner as well as to maintain several servers, all wallets, and seed nodes that keep the network healthy, alive and relevant. We are also maintaining an office in Hong Kong with several developers. Combined with marketing, travel, video production and other expenses we have done well with very limited resources compared to others in this space. We have never have attempted to raise funds, or ask the community to crowd fund development.

Through the DigiShield, MultiAlgo, MultiShield and DigiSpeed hard-forks we have added several unique things to the DigiByte codebase that has now been copied by many other coins in different ways. As we have mentioned many, many times in the past our hat is off to the pioneering effort of Myriadcoin with multialgo. However our current protocol implementation & codebase is very different than Myriads.

After the recent DigiSpeed hardfork we have decided the network is in a stable enough position for the time being and that we should focus on increasing user adoption with real world use cases. You can have the most innovative, high tech, cutting edge crypto advancement in the world but if no one knows about it how useful is it? More importantly, how can they use it in a simple, easy manner?

We are already well ahead of other cryptos from a technical perspective. Now we just need to scale everything for mass adoption in the video gaming industry worldwide. There is still la lot of work to be done on many fronts, and no single person or handful of people can do it all alone. It is a worldwide, community effort that will take DigiByte to the top.

As stated many, many times we are in this for the long haul. We are not here for a pump and dump. We are here for sustained, committed growth with real world commerce to back our growth. Since that day a lot has changed in this industry. 95% of the coins presented that day are no longer around or relevant. Over the past few days we have approached around $4 Million USD in trading volume which is about the same as our entire Marketcap and we are the #3 traded crypto in the world yet we are only ranked in the 20's on coinmarketcap.

You ask how this can be possible? The simple answer is we are one of the only cryptos with a truly fair distribution (I personally only own 5M which I earned from mining over past two years) as we are not sitting on a giant premine/instamine or crypto IPO as most of the top 20 are. This is very powerful and people are beginning to realize it.

Go into settings on the wallet, hit rescan/resync blockchain and the funds will appear after a few minutes. If anyone would like to take on updating the Android wallet we can organize a community bounty for the project ( this is the idea behind digis4commits).

This is because payouts are set in USD for advertising purposes. As DigiByte becomes worth more, it requires less to be paid out.
