1024kb - your first part proved you owned the allcryptocoins.ca domain. Therefore it seems likely that you are allcryptocoins.

Get it now?

I am not him, but he is a friend of mine. Did some research as well.

Looks like they simply didn't re register their domain name, then someone else did, hence access to all emails, and then access to twitter via pw reset. So no hack at all really.

The power of research is amazing eh

The domain wasn't even close to expiring. I'll have a third party well known member of our community verify this is actually me soon.

The domain was NOT expired and our password was NOT compromised at the registrar level.

Not only that, you can let a domain expire and they give you a grace period. Been there. Done that many times.

For some reason I had you ignored.
Either way, you're right. On top of that when the domain is expiring they send you almost daily notices. Even the crappy registrars. It's very hard to "let a domain expire" without being aware of it expiring.

You can transfer a domain between registrars as long as you have it unlocked at the current registrar and you provide a transfer code to the new registrar (usual method although different registrars may handle that differently).  Sounds to me like they did something to the current registrar which allowed it to be transferred.  Whether that means they hacked them or social engineered it or what I don't know.  As soon as it is transferred it would show a new registration date at the new registrar.

As far as using the MX record to intercept email that still requires a mail server at the destination IP which takes some effort.  Once they had re-registered the domain, changing the MX record would be trivial though.  Right now I show the mx record pointed at 54.204.22.76 which appears to be one of many mail server IP's for a place called mail.b-io.co.  I don't know anything about that place so I don't know if you could just setup an account and start receiving email there for a domain you "owned".

Revealing the source's name is disgusting.

You can't have it both ways.  Ostensibly the reason they hacked coinfire is because they ran a fake news fud report just to hurt paycoin.  So then the hacker turns around and validates the whole story by "naming the source"?  Just goes to show that hacking is more about what you know than necessarily how smart you actually are.

Since my post was lost in the forum crash I will point out again how odd it is that they have equipment that mines SHA256 and equipment that mines Scrypt and both of them have the exact same delays and both of them conveniently now have hashrate increases despite the fact that they cannot possibly be based on the same chip.
I guess thats a matter of opinion. May I remind you that the Gridseed can do both scrypt and SHA with the same chip? I know technically its an ASIC, but what if its programmed for both?

Well considering their miners are already starting to look like vaporware, a chip that does both SHA256 and Scrypt to the tune of 110MH Scrypt and/or 2TH SHA256 would just put them even more in the realm of fantasy.  Besides if that was the case, why not advertise them that way?  Those original gridseeds were sold as dual miners.

Be careful, as we get closer to feb more people will realize that the "buyback" doesn't actually start till march, and that they will not get their actual 20 for a while.

It doesn't even start in March. The enrollment ends March 2, and buybacks are on the first of the month, so the earliest possible date for the first payment is April 1.

The buyback as they've described it is a seriously stupid idea. It gives them a short-term boost at best, for a long-term liability that costs them real money. Plus, after it's started, if they make the payments month after month it's not news after a while, so they get little good PR out of it. But if they ever miss or reduce the payments it's bad PR.

I fully expect that if this thing goes forward there won't be any actual payouts.  Some sock puppet will pop up on crashtalk (or whatever the hell POS forum they have going at the time) saying "Thanks for buying all my XPY at $20 paybase!  You're gawsome!" or some equally brown nosed comment and no actual real purchases will ever take place.

It seems equally likely that the whole thing will get quietly pushed to a back burner, then disappeared and forgotten like so many other promises from josh.

Thanks!  Been running bfgminer for a couple hours and I am already convinced this is better than cgminer.
1207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GBlack + Raspberry Pi HELP on: January 21, 2015, 04:28:08 AM
Can someone paste their batch file to run bfgminer with these?

Is there an SSH command or script that I could run on a computer on the S5 network that would keep the S5 responding to SSH commands, but not mine?
Then later on a command to resume mining?  I couldn't find a program that would operate as an on off timer, and using a physical wall outlet power timer seems a bit barbaric.
Also, setting the frequency to 100M equals around 140-180watt usage at the wall while getting 350-450GH, didn't let it run long to see if it was stable rate on the pool.

I believe plink can do what you are asking.  It comes with putty.  You can setup a scheduled task or a cronjob or whatever depending on the host OS of the computer you are using to SSH to the miner.  A scrypt file calling plink can connect to the miner and send a command.  I am not sure what the commands would look like to stop and start cgminer so you might have to experiment.  I know that running killall cgminer from the crontab on the miner will stop cgminer so running that from SSH might do the same.  You would also have to stop the cgminer-monitor task since that thing basically checks to see if cgminer is running and if not restarts it.  I suppose you could always just do a reboot as the command to start mining since everything would start automatically when it rebooted.
1209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GBlack + Raspberry Pi HELP on: January 19, 2015, 03:08:17 PM
I also could not get this working on a Pi.  I used windows, installed the STM virtual comport drivers, then used zadig to switch them to WinUSB, then used cgminer from here https://github.com/dmaxl/cgminer/

You have to hot plug them with cgminer, which means launch cgminer and then plug in the USB which is kind of a pain but it works.  You can also disable a specific "generic usb hub" in the device manager to disable all of the gridseed devices, launch cgminer, and then enable that generic USB hub to have it detect all the devices so you can remotely restart.  That version of cgminer froze on me though when I connected 2 gblacks to the same computer.  It seems to do fine with 1 though.
1210  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.27/GH & 0.51W/GH on: January 17, 2015, 03:30:47 PM
I was having reliability problems with my Batch 4 S5 that just arrived this week, so someone suggested I update the firmware with the latest (Jan 7) release on the website. Ever since I updated with that firmware I have had troubles. At first I had problems with one blade not coming up, then I did get it working about only at about 800Gh (default settings), and now almost 3 hours later I am down to 680Gh.

Does anyone have the original firmware available for download?

If you had batch 4 then you had the new firmware for sure.  My Batch 3 ants had it already and I received them like 5 days after the firmware was released.  Bitmain was on top of it there.

One of mine does what you describe after I change the freq.  If I change the freq I have to do a power cycle to get it to hash full speed.  It doesn't show any X's or anything else in the GUI to indicate a problem but it just won't get up to full speed.  I can tell pretty soon though by just watching the WU number.  If it tops out around 8k then I know the hashrate will never get to full speed.  At this point though I can say that it basically does it every single time I change the freq.  But as soon as I power cycle it, I see the WU number go past 10k or so within the first minute and then I know it will get to full hashing speed.

I have to say though, these batch 3 S5 units are way more stable than my batch 2 S3's.  Those S3's have been a pain in my butt since day one.  They don't get the speeds they advertised, they need to be rebooted regularly or their hashrate sinks to about 60% of normal, and sometimes when they reboot they can't even see the boards.  They have required constant baby sitting and I would have sold them if I didn't feel bad about just passing that problem on to someone else.  My S1 has been so remarkably stable I was excited by the S3 but then those were so remarkably temperamental I was hesitant to get these S5's.  But now that I have them and they have been hashing for 5 days or so I am a happy miner again.  These things seem very stable, they get up to speed a lot faster then the S3's, and once they are doing their thing they really don't need baby sitting.  Very nice.

Lol, how you guys cant understand - mining is not profitable in 2015. Only big daddy's will survive. And it is sad...

100 Mhs of scrypt for $400 would very likely make a little profit.
1212  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Zen Hashlet PayCoin unofficial uncensored discussion. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: January 16, 2015, 08:25:10 PM
Not quite right.

Homero hinted 3 days ago that he would drop out of one of the two speaking slots he has in order to hold a greet and meet:

https://archive.today/WlrWC

Moe sent an email out with the updated agenda saying Homero would not be speaking. On the agenda itself, his slot for Saturday is removed. That slot was for his little keynote speech.

The agenda still shows he is on the mining panel discussion on Sunday morning, the second speaking slot.

Moe asks Homero in the email, are you still participating on Sunday in that mining panel discussion.

Seems Homero organized his own cancellation for tomorrows slot with whichever underling handles it. Moe having been updated not knowing Homero's full intentions, simply sent an email with the revised agenda.

Homero is the one who doesn't understand it even though he is the creator of it.

Ok, that sounds about right. Still not clear if he'll be in the mining panel, probably not. Mining is dead. Staking is the future.

How much does one shirt weigh? 0.5lb? 1lb? Sounds like he's planning to dress everyone at the conference Smiley

I understand those shirts are going to sell for about $4 but Josh promises they will be worth at least $20 and probably more like $25 each.

didn't realize paybase turned into an exchange where you buy and sell coins to others, it appears they actually made a truthful announcement, I'm impressed.

Yet they couldn't resist posting a pre-announcement full of BS as well:

http://blog.paybase.com/rapid-merchant-adoption-of-paycoin-and-an-innovative-api-the-proof-of-our-success/

Quote
Over 400,000 stores now have the compatibility to accept Paycoin™ online.

And they post one link, since posting 400,000 links is not viable of course: https://chads4x4.com/gopro-hero3-silver-edition.html

Also lists a bunch of exchanges as an achievement, even though the CEO says "Trade all your XPY in PayBase!!!!" (which doesn't appear to be working quite right https://hashtalk.org/topic/29273 but that's no big surprise).

And there is this:

http://blog.paybase.com/prelude-to-miami/

I'm offering a 1 XPY bounty for anyone who can ask the CEO during the Q&A - what does "comport" mean?

Edit: someone on HT dug up this documentation - looks like exchange API:
http://docs.paybase.apiary.io/#

That Chads4x4.com place doesn't work if you select pay by paycoin.  I went through the entire process and selected to pay with paycoin and it just went back to the beginning as if I had just added the item to my cart.  Is that supposed to mean they will have the capability when GAW gets their shit together?
1214  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Zen Hashlet PayCoin unofficial uncensored discussion. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: January 15, 2015, 01:43:30 PM

It is important to prioritize wider merchant acceptance versus acceptance at our own store.

That about says it all right there.  If you came to me and said "I have this money I just made up and I want you to accept it in your store" and I asked, "Do you accept it in yours?" and you responded with anything other than "yes" I would send you packing.

Ain't it funny? Every time someone writes the magic words "Withholding attack", a couple of blocks are being found :-)

I think it is funnier that every time we hit a long block someone says "withholding attack".

HT has an answer for everything. And it's usually the same answer.

My take on BTC price fall.

My take on BTC price fall... all because of http://bitcointalk dot org

They have good members, but a huge chunk of it its dedicated to destroy other coins in the efforts to try to elevate theirs. Its the Old Wild West there. I used to try and seek help there when I was started and every time I posted a question the majority of replays will say something like. "if you dont know the answer to that you should be doing this" Arrogance at best, like if they all were born with the skill set. Most people are not there to help. It took me some time and had to look in other places for help.

Investors look at this blog for ideas, and progress in the industry to only find uneducated, rude people.

That's my take, Dont want to generalize, but a big chunk of they user base is like that. I hold them directly responsible for holding the price of BTC.

thats right!!! and you bitcointalk people are also responsible for ebola, getting george bush elected twice and the disappearance of MH370!! take that society!!!

Don't forget cancer.  Thanks fuckers!

Hum... time to go buy some EVGA from newegg!

Newegg has a pretty decent deal on the evga supernova 1300 today.  $159 with a $30 rebate makes it $129.  I ordered one up to replace my corsair cx750m's  These particular corsair PSU's were discounted refurbs so that may be why my S5 shut down after a couple hours.  I swapped it with another cx750m that I had on an S3, all good so far.

Rebate is limited to one per household

Yes that too.   Cry  Cry
1219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gridseed Blade - 0 WU on a board on: January 14, 2015, 12:07:21 AM
cgminer 4.3.5 works much better with the detection of the blades in my experience.

https://github.com/dmaxl/cgminer/

I never have to reinstall drivers though.  Once zadig replaces the drivers with the right ones they always come up with the right drivers after I unplug and replug.  I also found that I can disable a specific item in device manager labeled USB HUB (because there are more than one) and all of the blades on the same USB port will disappear.  Then I can launch cgminer and enable that device and they all show up.  That way I can do it without physically disconnecting anything.  Which also means I can reset them all remotely because sometimes I do see one drop off and stop submitting shares.
