if you wish to chat with me about anything but your watches feel free to post and i will answer honestly. if you bring up your watches in this post again you know what will happen. i have already answered this question. if you ask me the same question over and over you know what will happen.

are we clear?
What will happen?  Will you suddenly become not a scammer?  You offered to pay everyone back.  So when you gonna start?  I gave you my address.

And how the hell can this thread be 'derailed'  it is about scamming and you scammed me.
1203  Other / Off-topic / Re: chat with a scammer on: March 26, 2013, 04:25:09 AM
umm, i did not get pissy. i have been calm cool and polite. you are the one who is getting pissy because i dont feel you deserve a refund. please take this back to PM or your watch post.

You said you will pay everyone back.  Or are going to continue to lie?

1204  Other / Off-topic / Re: chat with a scammer on: March 26, 2013, 04:21:19 AM
i have been PMing you about our transaction. if you piss me off or derail my threads you will be the first on my ignore list and that will be the end of it.

are we clear?
I gave you my address and you got pissy not me.  The address is there.  Are you gonna make good on your word to pay back or not?  You can solve this in five minutes.
1205  Other / Off-topic / Re: chat with a scammer on: March 26, 2013, 04:18:00 AM
there was a rush being able to successfully do what i do and get away with it. but i never felt good about it. i do not like what i did.

i was wrong. i used my talents for the wrong reasons.

i do feel regret. i am down right ashamed of my actions. i could be doing much better things with my life.

i could make millions scamming. but i could make just as much or more legitimately if i applied myself.

i like certain things about myself and i dislike certain things about myself.

i am not lying. i will pay back everybody.

I doubt it.  I doubt you are man enough. Here is my address.  Go head, start now:

im not kidding. more than i can keep track of.

So you are lying when you say will pay everyone back just as you lied before.

"They first have to find the gold. If they confiscate bitcoins all they have to do is take over computers. If they are to confiscate gold, they have to search each individuals homes. Mush harder (Especially if you do not keep your metals at home ) Wink"

According to a gold bug.. Wow.

I think both are on the same level, both basically require the government to search homes.  Both have countermeasures (like Casascius coins and hiding gold).  Neither is likely in the USA.

No, not the same at all.  It's easy enough to prove that gold exists, if you can find it.  You can't prove that I have any bitcoins at all, even if you have a copy of my wallet.dat.  Because it's encrypted also.  You have to have me and access to my computer.  If you have me, then it doesn't much matter because you can use rubber hose crytography.  But if I have gold in my safety deposit box, I may be able to evade capture but not if I return for my gold.  With bitcoins and an Electrum neumonic wallet, I could flee to just about anywhere and recover my bitcoins using a borrowed laptop if I must.

If I have your wallet.dat I know how many coins you have.  I just can not spend them.

Apparently, 17ifs was not parked, but part of a steganographic message that happened to include it.  The address might well belong to nobody at all.  ugh...

Most probably lost forever.  Depending on the message maybe provable to be lost forever.  Add that to the list of lost BTC.
1210  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cypriot banks open in 4.5 hours... Who wants to make a prediction? on: March 26, 2013, 01:20:22 AM
I can only cocur that cyprus has validated all the tinfoil hats from being conspiracy nuts to potentially credible

The international commuinty now has irrevockable evidence they will come for your bank account

Well not really.  It is not THEY who are coming for your bank account.  It is that banks are not always safe due to poor investment choices.

While it has been clearly spelled out in detailed news stories, few people seem to understand what happened in Cyprus.  The money was LOST due to bad PRIVATE bank decisions.  The government is doing a (poor) job of cleaning things up, but the money was already lost.  It has been gone for a while actually.
1211  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cypriot banks open in Tuesday (not in 4 hours).. Who wants to make a prediction? on: March 26, 2013, 01:16:17 AM
Cyprus money will have little effect on bitcoin.  Maybe as the terms become more clear, others in the weaker EU countries may start to think about bitcoin and that will have more of an impact.  Cyprus is a small country and depositors are not going to get easy access to their money even if they wanted to buy bitcoins.

1213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MTGOX to collapse if Japan goes "the Cyprus way" ? on: March 25, 2013, 11:28:45 PM
There really needs to be another exchange site. Bitcoin is not very decentralized if nearly all trading happens at a "centralized" place.

...

...

there are plenty of other exchange sites. sometimes I wish people would use them rather than hanging around bitcointalk complaining about how slow & evil gox is ;-)

Really.  And the volume is now there at these other sites for most people. I have not used gox in a year now since somehow my account became unverified and they did not respond to my email.

I suppose that some people are happy to see Cyprus sinking in the financial abyss as BTC price skyrockets and causes megaprofits.
But, did you ever think what would happen to MTGOX if Japan goes the Cyprus way and grab bank deposits to repay its debt?

Some of alarming articles in press.
Forget Cyprus, Japan Is The Real Crisis - Forbes
Financial Ticking Time Bomb 2013, Japan the Greece of Asia
Looming financial crisis in Japan deserves our attention

MTGOX would be only partially effected.  They have, at least by fees, half of money in BTC.  If BTC rises and yen drop it is a near wash.  In addition even with hyper-inflation, as long as it less then 10% a month they can even mitigate that with clever financial planning.

Japan has a printing press, Cyprus does not.  They are in very different situations.
1217  Economy / Goods / Re: WTS 2 Iphones on: March 25, 2013, 08:29:05 PM
Bought 2 iphone 5s last friday from at&t. There both white and 32gb of storage space. They are brand new and opened only by the sales rep that helped me. I'll let them go for

Both for that price or just one?

Maybe some pictures will help you.

Price per phone. They are the 32gb version.

About $800 worth of BTC per phone?  I have some AT&T upgrade credits available.  So I can just get one at $299 and sell it for $800?  I doubt it.  Maybe $600.
You can (and should) do exactly that if you don't plan to use said upgrade credits.

Cell phone plans with companies that do not subsidize new cell purchases are about $30/month cheaper, so you're paying $360/year in order to subsidize free or cheap cell phone upgrades.  You should always take advantage of them as soon as you can.  I believe AT&T lets you upgrade (at full value) 5 months prior to contract end.  If you upgrade exactly at that 5 month mark, you pay $570 per phone to cover the subsidy.  Every month afterward, add $30/month to the price of that "free" phone you're getting to get the true price.

You are right, it is not a good idea to let the credits sit.

While close, I have not found any price more then 5% lower then my total bill from at&t for a group of phones with my 25% employee discount though.  In fact I am paying about $48 a phone with dataplan and taxes per smartphone.    So it is time for me to act and get a IP5 and sell it on ebay or here!

1218  Economy / Speculation / Re: Casascius coins and the future... on: March 25, 2013, 08:10:40 PM
I'm not planning on cashing my coins in any time soon. Its tough sometimes, but I think I'll manage. I turned almost all my coins into Casascius coins so I'd feel bad spending em lol. And any additional coins that I make I turn into a bill and put a sticker over the key-self-restraint.
Anyways, I've seen Series 1 coins sell for 3 BTC. I thought that was a little ridiculous, but I don't know. What do you guys see original Casascius (Series 1, 2, 3) coins being worth in the future?
I have only seen transactions at 2x for series 1 and that was at BTC = $37.  I would gladly sell a few series 1 at 2x BTC right now as that is about $150 a coin.

When did they sell for 3x?

Edit:
Now seeing that at 5x on ebay!

Can I just ask.. is this stealing?

I mean people there avoid taxes all the time, but still depend on their government in some ways. The stupidity of it aside isnt this just a tax, without anything morally wrong with it?

Flawed assumption: that a "tax" is not stealing because it's called a "tax."

While most of this is happening due to the indirect fault of governments, the direct cause is poor investments by private companies.  This situation needed the standard bad bank US treatment by the FDIC but instead they way it was done has totally destabilized everything.

1220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Meme: "Bitcoin user not affected" on: March 25, 2013, 01:28:11 AM

And stupid.  Does not address what is really happening.  Certainly does not encourage people to go to bitcoin.
